This year is our first year here, racing the fastest in america,

but it is not our first year that we've been street racing.

I've not come here to lose. I came here to win

this year there's a bunch of new faces here.

You know, this year we got 12 teams.

Here's what I decided to do, you know,

give them that respect.

Block, mr. Kye, relic, and chucky,

they made it to the second round

so they're gonna get a bye on the first round.

We gonna let the other eight teams

face off with each other and race each other.

This year, we got 12 teams coming out to race,

so it's going to be a little different than last year.

First off, we're going to run a wild-card round

for the new teams

and the teams that lost in first round last year.

They'll race-off to see who deserves a spot.

The four wild-card winners will join the four teams

that made it past round 1 last year.

And then it's on.

Eight races down to four,

then four down to two, then two down to one.

And that one team will face off against memphis.

To say they are the fastest in america and claim the title

plus the $100,000 cash.

but I think we've got a badass team.

They both raced with nola last year.

And brent, we all feel like you had the fastest car tonight.

Kye kelley and team nola made it all the way to the finals.

But sometimes teams just can't deal with pressure

and can't work things out.

Adam plunkett and brent self got in a fight with kye kelley

and they parted ways.

So this year, adam plunkett and brent self

have their own team they call black sheep mafia.

They claiming that they the real deal

and they're fast on the streets.

They got a lot to prove.

You got kye and the new group from new orleans,

they're baddest on the street, they've done their deal, but...

Both brent and kye showed up telling me

they don't want to fight, they want to race.

But with that being said, they could end up

racing each other, and things could get heated.

But first, black sheep mafia has got to get past axman

and his team from virginia. That could be tough.

I'm not going to sit here and say I'm real street,

but I'm here to prove that a no prep kings person

can set anybody on fire.

It don't make a difference.

Axman, his team virginia,

are well known in no prep racing.

Wow. That [bleep] can run.

But they showed up on grudge night

and probably made some of the fastest pass

I seen that night on the street.

that was a good one.

Virginia is trying to prove that they are street racers,

not just no prep king racers.

Of everybody that I didn't want to race

first down the road -- axman.

But it is what it is.

You've got to beat them all to win.

Racing axman's team is going to be tough.

Them guys, they've been around a long time.

I got a feeling he don't want to run us neither.

I mean, you got - to get through all of them.

It's going to be a dogfight all the way to the end.

These guys followed me

all the way across the united states, basically, you know?

We're from louisiana and florida and arkansas.

For them to come over here,

I got to do all I can to lead them to a victory.

I mean, brent has a lot on us

because, I mean, he raced it last year.

So he knows every game there is to play every game.

Every game. He's a top team.

We got the baddest racers in the country, I mean.

I know black sheep mafia is a badass team,

but I know they have some weak links,

and I may have to pull them cards

to get around them to take them out.

There are some big-caliber racers and a lot of badasses,

and I know it's going to be some driving, some sideways racing,

knocking the tires off.

It's going to be interesting.

Here we are in the middle of wyoming

on a concrete road.

Each round, $20,000

winner at the end going to face memphis

for the $100,000.

But, you know, the only thing different is this year,

it's going to be a race to eight.

The first team to eight wins

$20,0000 and advances to the next round.

Neither team is going to know what order

you put that list in.

That's going to have a lot to do with it.

You know, with that being said,

how y'all think it's going to turn out here?

I honestly think I got what it takes to beat them,

but they're going to be tough.

So I'd figured I'd try some of what they was doing.

and a chance to move to the next round.

Axman: First thing we need to come up with is

what order we're gonna go.

I would like to, whatever we feel like they may think,

I'd like to try to trick it up a little bit.

I don't think they're going to put their fastest up front.

Now, out of all the cars we have here,

who is 100% confident - they go down first and be fast?

I will. I think I can.

I pick dwayne to go out in the killer cab.

With that being said, axman is really fast on the track

and he's a great racer,

So both of these team leaders are going to be put to the test.

Me personally, I feel like the first race

of the night sets the tone, and making that decision

of who you're going to send out first,

it sets it for the night.

Think it needs just a little bit of fuel in it right there.

We're following brent,

and we've got some heavy hitters.

I believe we've got enough juice in this team

to gun down anybody here if everything lines up.

To me, it seemed like brent self's strategy

for the black sheep mafia was to put two

of his heavy hitters out first and try to ride the wave.

Axman has a totally different strategy.

He put two of for sure a-to-b cars out first.

Now, axman is bringing in his power.

He's bringing out chuck.

They call him the chuck 55, but he's in a camaro tonight.

We're about to find out if axman's strategy is going to work.

And it's a lot of pressure on him.

If team virginia goes down 3-0, it could be ugly for him.

These guys are street racers.

We can't walk in here thinking just because we got power,

we can outrun them.

Them guys are good. It takes more than power.

It takes game. Takes a little bit everything.

Team axman called me up, said, "hey, man,

I need a hitter on my team here."

he said, "can you make it out to wyoming?"

I'm fixing to go up and race byron.

I don't know much about him,

but he's got a good-looking nova.

Done some testing.

And I heard he made some really good licks.

The team we got, black sheep mafia, them guys are good.

So I'm going in first.

He fast and he got good sense.

He's a no prep racer, but he loves street racing

because it's a different kind of...

I am racing axman in the '67 axman car

and fixing to be 3-1 right now.

J.J.: Axman's racing twice in the first round.

It's a whole lot getting two cars ready in the first round

and to lead your team also.

And for this race, axman is going to be driving

his '67 nova with the chrome bumper.

We've seen first-hand axman made an extremely fast pass out here

when we was grudge racing, but that was in his '63 nova.

If he could win this race it would tie the ballgame,

but he's never made a pass

in the '67 chevy ii nova on this concrete road.

So it's a lot riding on his shoulders.

I wouldn't bet no money on who wins.

on the no prep racing all over the country.

J.J.: On the track, track race and street racing

is completely different.

On the track, you have a light.

Plus, if you cross the center line, you lose.

But in this race, it's back to the old-school rules --

arm drop, chase is a race...

First to the finish line wins.

That's what played - the biggest part of this race.

Racing is racing, so axman's trying to prove

that he can race on the street.

I'm not going to sit here and say I'm real street,

but I'm here to prove that a no prep kings person

can set anybody on fire.

We're about to see if this gamble is going to pay off.

Adam plunkett probably made one of the smartest moves

at the other end because I went right on him.

so I was already in that motion where I couldn't sit.

'cause I was getting ready to jump.

Well, I certainly do appreciate it.

Well, that was anticipation

of running that damn run out there.

Now I feel a lot better that it's over with, win or lose,

but it sure feels better to win than it does to lose.

And they've been leaving early,

so I figured I'd try some of what they was doing.

I feel like they've kind of been stealing the hit on us.

So, I mean, I wasn't going to leave early early.

But I didn't want to get left on.

When I thought j.J. Was close to his seven, I left,

and obviously the other guy left too.

They also been taking the right lane every time,

and took - that little advantage away,

if that's an advantage.

I don't know if one's better than the other,

but now byron had it turned up,

and it may have been just a little too much.
