[Legend of Awakening]

[Episode 18]

Master.

Master.

Master, I knew you weren't dead.

How could you die so easily?

Who are you?

Why do you have Guo Youdao's pneumatic powers inside you?

Master, what are you talking about?

Are you drunk?

Master?

Guo Youdao is your master?

You just said he was dead.

How could he be dead?

You are his disciple.

Tell him to come here to meet me!

Elder, who exactly are you?

What are Guo Youdao's intentions?

He sent you to me just for show.

You're asking for death.

Guo Wushu, you are being unreasonable, don't you think?

Chu Min, you are here, too?

Where is Guo Youdao?

Tell him to come here!

How can a dead person get up to keep his promises?

Guo Wushu,

your brother is dead.

[Guo Wushu - Big Dipper's Kaiyang Peak Master]

Already dead?

He is dead already?

[Medical Chamber]

What a strong pneuma of energy! Young Master Lu...

That old man is harder to deal with than his brother.

Wait here! I will go to check it out.

Every Big Dipper disciple has a star of destiny.

Guo Youdao's star is still shining.

How could he be dead?

Yeah.

How could he be dead?

Why did he lie to me?

He promised to come back and compete with me.

Why did he break his promise?

You want to compete with my master?

He was always better than me since we were kids.

I've always believed that one day I would definitely beat him.

However, he always refused to compete with me.

I've been waiting for him for so many years.

He had promised me that he would come back to have a fight with me as long as

I keep the Qisha Institute of Kaiyang Peak. (TN: Kaiyang is Mizar or Zeta, the 6th of the 7 stars in Big Dipper)

Why did you lie to me?

Guo Wushu, I know Guo Youdao promised to return to Big Dipper to have a fair and square competition with you.

However, things didn't go as planned.

He's already dead!

The dead can't come back.

I don't believe it!

He must have been afraid of me.

So he sent his disciple here in his stead, didn't he?

Let's fight! I will beat you into the ground.

I want to see if that coward will come out to save his disciple.

If you kill him, then you'll really have lost.

What are you talking about?

The master fights with the master, the disciple fights with the disciple.

If you hit Lu Ping, you'll have broken the rules, you'll have lost to Guo Youdao for life.

That man is Guo Youdao's twin brother.

Master of Kaiyang Peak, Guo Wushu.

Guo Youdao used to train here, the Big Dipper.

My master has a younger brother?

They are twins but their personalities are very different.

Guo Wushu always lost to Guo Youdao when he was young so he has become paranoid.

In order to win against his brother, he came to the Big Dipper.

At that time, Guo Youdao had already wanted to leave Big Dipper to build the Wind Taker Institute.

So Guo Youdao made a pact with Guo Wushu

that as long as he inherited his position as the master of Kaiyang Peak,

he would compete with him fairly in the Big Dipper.

It turns out Master didn't lie to me.

He really was strong and talented before.

Your master told me that I must bring you here.

Hence, you should stay here from now on.

Senior Sister.

Lu Ping's injury hasn't recovered.

During this period, you can't run around with him.

Who are you?

I am Li Yaotian, the master of Big Dipper, and the one who healed your injury.

Fortunately, someone had injected their pneumatic powers into your body to protect you.

Senior Sister, he's not in any critical danger now.

Thank you for your help, I will leave now.

You didn't hear what I just said, did you? Are you deaf?

I am fine now. I have to go to the Mountain and Sea Gang.

You can't even beat me so how can you fight with the Mountain and Sea Gang?

Guo Youdao left you to me.

I don't care about other things but at least, I have to keep you alive.

You can't stop me.

Nobody can stop me.

- Li Yaotian. - I'm here, Senior Sister.

Tell Big Dipper! I, Chu Min, I am back at Yaoguang Peak.

The first order is that all Big Dipper disciples must strictly guard the mountain gate.

As long as I am here, Lu Ping can't go down the mountain.

He has a cold?

As young as he is, he can't wreck his body like this.

He has such a bad cold.

It's caused by a long-term cold and a serious lack of rest.

Young Miss, you are healthy but you can't treat your husband like this.

He is not my husband. He is just…

a fool who didn't tell me that he's sick.

I had no idea the entire time.

Don't hit me! Don't!

I will help you find your elder brother.

Time to take your medicine.

Am I ill?

You are taking care of me.

It's not a dream, is it?

I wouldn't have a master who would faint because he got so sick.

More likely, I should be your master.

Where did you find the doctor?

The medicine is bitter and astringent, it won't work.

- I don't want to— - I've decocted it for six hours.

I won't say one more word, nor leave a drop left.

I'll drink it all.

Little disciple, it's wonderful to have you with me.

My illness… it's worth it.

I used to take care of my older brother.

I'm warning you, I'll only take care of you until you're well.

Once you get well, you have to look for my brother immediately.

Don't worry! Lu Ping is so skilled.

He can take care of himself.

I am hungry after taking the medicine.

Could you help me?

What do you want to eat?

Soup noodles with two eggs.

[Wuji Manor]

Manor Master, there is no news on the whereabouts of the younger master.

What if something happened to him?

There is a deep meaning behind Xifan's move.

If I act rashly, I will only hurt him.

Don't worry! He is my son.

He won't die.

Manor Master.

Here is a message from the younger master.

Dad, I know it's sudden.

I'm sorry for sneaking into the Mountain and Sea Gang without consulting you.

I've gained the trust of Zhou Youlong and have become the Deputy Leader of the Fire Division.

In order to get rid of the Mountain and Sea Gang as soon as possible, I've decided to stay here.

The Mountain and Sea Gang seems to be planning a major conspiracy.

It will happen soon in Yuezhou.

The detailed plan is not clear.

I urge father to send someone to Yuezhou for further investigating this matter.

He broke into the enemy's territory and risks his life.

This kid has guts, he really is my son.

A Ze, send someone to Yuezhou to spy on them.

Also, withdraw all the disciples who are searching for Xifan.

No one in Wuji Manor is allowed to utter a word about the missing younger master.

Yes.

Master, the Mountain and Sea Gang are cruel and unpredictable.

Do you really have the heart to let him take this risk?

He is my son if I won't help him, who will?

He risks his life for his brother. (TN: comrade, not related by blood)

I have to support that and let him.

[Medicinal Chamber]

Young Master Lu, I'm here to clean your wound for you.

Miss Ling, please. [Medicinal Chamber]

Young Master Lu, please take off your clothes.

Miss Ling, I'm much better now.

I can do it myself.

Regarding the past few days... thank you.

Young Master Lu, Master Chu Min asked me to tell you about news from Wuji Manor.

They say they got a message from Xifan saying that he has successfully entered the Mountain and Sea Gang.

- Really? - Xifan is a reliable man.

He must be pretty confident in order to do this.

Now, you can be at ease.

However, the Mountain and Sea Gang is still very dangerous.

After all, this is still not the way.

I don't know when Master Chu Min will let me go.

Master Chu Min is only doing this for your own good.

How about this? In a few days, it will be the day for the Big Dipper to take in new disciples.

Disciples from various sects have already arrived so it is very lively.

At that time, I will accompany you to go and have some fun.

Young Master Lu, why are you looking at me like that?

Does Qin Sang know you are alive?

She blames herself harshly for your death.

Are you... missing her?

When she meets people like me,

she only finds us annoying.

I just want her to be happy

and safe.

Right now, you just need to take good care of yourself.

Don't forget that Xifan is still waiting for you.

Master Chu Min.

Look at yourself! In order to take care of him, you haven't gotten any rest.

You need to get some rest, too.

I'm not tired, I am happy and willing to take care of him.

I have something for you to do.

You're familiar with the Qin Family the most.

Here is a letter.

Try to deliver it to Qin Sang and advise her to absolutely keep this a secret from Qin Qi.

Tell her that Lu Ping is here recovering from a wound.

If she still wants to see Lu Ping, she'll find her own way.

Do you want Qin Sang to come to the Big Dipper?

At least, it'll be easier and calmer to keep Lu Ping here.

Guo Youdao doesn't care about anything.

That means I have to clean up the mess.

Take it!

Yes.

[Letter for Qin Sang]

Ling Ziyan, resurrected yourself,

the Heavens are telling you that

you don't have to be subordinate to anyone.

If you want Lu Ping,

you don't have to seek perfection in everything.

The Heavens have given you a chance.

As for the rest, you're the one who has to fight for your own happiness.

Who said Qin Sang

must be the winner this time.

[Big Dipper Pavilion]

The master has seen your qualifications.

If you failed the test, you can leave now.

You can only stay if you passed.

The Big Dipper has strict rules.

Every year there's a ceremony where there's a connection from a star to the destiny.

After three days, all the disciples of the Big Dipper will attend.

Only by connecting the star of destiny, can it unblock the meridians of the Pneuma of Essence.

This will give you the right to be in pugilist world under Big Dipper's name.

No one can go down the mountain before then.

Those who did not passed the test, please leave the Big Dipper with me now.

Young Master Lu, it's time for your meal.

Young Master Lu, Young Master Lu!

Where's Lu Ping?

[Big Dipper Pavilion]

Wait!

Wait! I haven't taken the test yet.

- Who are you? - I am Wei Tianqi, the first disciple of the Chan State Martial arts school.

- I want to take the Big Dipper entry test. - It's already over now, you are late.

What? I didn't show up yet, shouldn't you have waited for me?

No way! I want to go inside, let me in.

It doesn't make sense.

Lu Ping?

Why are you here? Aren't you dead?

- You've just seen a ghost. - Bullsh*t.

You must have fooled the Agile Dragon Army to escape using some crafty plan. (TN: lit. idiom - like a cicada shedding its carapace)

You killed my father and yet, you are hiding here.

Today, the Heavens have let us meet here.

I will avenge my father.

I've said before, as long as I'm here, I'll keep you alive.

Don't try to stop me. He's my enemy, I definitely have to fight him.

I… I am not afraid of you anymore.

The boy who I used to feed crab congee to has gained a lot of courage.

Such a pity! Anyway, you can't enter Big Dipper with evil intentions.

- Bai Li. - Yes.

- Get him out of here. - Yes.

Hurry!

Are you going to go back to the Medicinal Chamber by yourself or do I need to drag you back?

I won't trouble Master Chu Min.

I can walk back on my own.

The Big Dipper has strict rules.

Every year there's a ceremony where there's a connection from a star to the destiny.

Only by connecting the star of destiny, can it unblock the meridians of the Pneuma of Essence.

This will give one the right to be in the pugilist world under Big Dipper's name.

Connecting to the star of destiny to unblock the meridians.

Young Master Lu, I am sorry.

I couldn't find you today.

I got anxious so I notified Master Chu Min.

If you want to blame or punish me, I will accept it.

So you'll follow whatever punishment I give?

Ziyan, I have thought of a way to recover from my injury quickly.

- You can help me this time. - Young Master Lu, I…

Master didn't save me so that I could be trapped at the Big Dipper.

I will leave whether you help me or not.

At least, without an injury, chances of survival are greater.

I will do as you wish.

The master once said I'm seriously injured and my meridians are blocked.

If I use the pneumatic powers from the connection with the star of destiny, I can unblock the meridians.

The connection to the star of destiny ceremony in three days is my only chance to leave.

Therefore, I have to take part in it.

As long as I recover my six pneuma powers, even if I have to fight,

I can at least fight my way down the mountain.

As long as you take me with you, I will go wherever you go.

The master fights with the master...

the disciple fights with the disciple.

The master fights with the master.

The disciple fights with the disciple.

I can't always lose to Guo Youdao every time!

The disciple fights with the disciple.

The disciple fights with the disciple.

I have an idea.

You can go back now, you are not qualified.

The Big Dipper has strict rules, we also respect the predestined relationship.

If you want to join the Big Dipper, you can come back next year.

My enemy is inside.

If the Big Dipper won't let me in, then I won't leave!

Then you will freeze to death.

I'm already homeless now, who cares if I freeze to death.

I will let all the people know that Big Dipper bullies people!

Let's go.

Dad, you died because of the Mountain and Sea Gang,

and because of Lu Ping.

Qin Qi with deal with the Mountain and Sea Gang.

I will deal with Lu Ping on your behalf.

Lu Ping, even after death I won't let you go.

You mean you have a feud with Lu Ping?

Ghost!

You use the Pneuma of Energy.

But you didn't unblock the meridians yet.

So useless!

Guo Youdao, aren't you dead?

If you want revenge, you can go find Qin Qi and the Mountain and Sea Gang, why are you after me?

What are you talking about?

I am not Guo Youdao.

I am the master of Kaiyang Peak, Guo Wushu.

Youdao? Wushu?

Are you the brother of that old man?

It h-h-hurts… hurts...

I am telling you.

What I hate the most is when others call me Guo Youdao's younger brother.

Fine, fine, fine! I won't, I won't! Let me go.

Let me ask you.

Do you have a feud with Lu Ping? Speak!

Yes, yes, right, right! A blood feud.

You can be my disciple, I'll teach you.

You can beat Lu Ping for me.

You want to teach me to fight against Lu Ping?

You have a feud with Lu Ping and I have a grudge with Guo Youdao.

The master fights with the master, the disciple fights with the disciple.

Although the old man is crazy, he seems to be a master.

At any rate, he can be a backer.

Thank you, Master. Please accept your disciple's kowtow.

My stupid disciple can beat Guo Youdao's stupid disciple.

This way, I can win against Guo Youdao!

Master, why did you hit me?

The focus of the Pneuma of Energy is on agility.

If you are faster than the enemy, you can wait for the opportunity to defeat him.

Let's practice now.

Master, are there ways to do this where it won't hurt?

Yes. When you're dead, it doesn't hurt anymore.

No, no, no, I will practice, I will!

Master, you can't hit there.

What do you mean I can't hit you?

You should be lighter when you hit.

Such bad luck! How did I encounter such a crazy old man?

Although when I practice with him like this, I feel that I am getting a bit faster.

At this rate, it'll be a long time before I can get revenge.

No way! I have to find a way.

Little loser, where did you run off to?

[Qin Residence]

Miss, I have something important to report.

Miss, just now I passed by the study room and overheard the General Qin talking with General Wen.

They... they said that Lu Ping is still alive.

There is no movement of the Mountain and Sea Gang.

It seems we still need to find Lu Ping and only then can we continue investigating.

However, the Big Dipper is bordered the states of Shuo and Tan.

This is a sensitive period during the peace talks.

The Agile Dragon Army can't act rashly.

Even more so, we can't let the Mountain and Sea Gang find out.

We should send someone dependable to go.

I can go.

Sang'er.

If someone can persuade Lu Ping to cooperate,

you won't kill him anymore, will you?

Yes.

Regardless if it's for me or for our family, to beat the Mountain and Sea Gang,

can I go this time?

Okay, I agree.

I will send someone to escort you.

But you have to promise me that you can't get too involved with Lu Ping.

Thank you, Brother.

Hey.

Is that fun?

Brat, see how I deal with you this time.

[Big Dipper Pavilion]

You want to join the connecting to the star of destiny ceremony?

Yes. Old Guo was one of the seven peak masters of Big Dipper.

I didn't study at the Big Dipper but can be considered a disciple of the Big Dipper.

This means I'm qualified to join in the connecting to the star of destiny ceremony, right?

Generally speaking, yes.

However, you're not thinking about doing something else, are you?

Old Guo gave me his pneumatic powers before he died.

Master Chu Min, if it's a guidance,

I want to see what the answer is.

Master Chu Min, Young Master Lu almost completely healed.

Please allow him to try.

Come with me!

As everyone knows,

as Big Dipper disciples, we are the leaders of martial arts.

Everyone is equal but we have strict rules to follow in pugilist world.

As long as you have some level of pneumatic powers,

you can study at the Big Dipper.

Every year, we have a connecting to the star of destiny ceremony.

Every disciple in the Big Dipper has a chance to put his Pneuma of Strength

into the astrological instrument.

It forms what you just saw, the star map.

If you can find your star of destiny in the Star map.

Connect the star to your destiny.

Then you can be called a disciple of the Big Dipper when you are traveling in the pugilist world.

There are differences in brightness on the star map.

It represents the differences in the pneumatic powers' levels.

The Big Dipper is the strongest.

The further away from it, the weaker it gets.

As you continue to improve your practice,

you will make your stars of destiny brighter and brighter,

and you can also get your star closer to the Big Dipper.

Now, you can put the power of your pneumas

into the astrological instrument, connecting the stars to your destinies.

Lin Tian from the Third Institute would like to connect to the star of destiny now.

You still need to practice for a few more years.

Previously, the Seventh of the Big Dipper could light up his star at a young age. (TN: Seventh is referred to Chu Min, Master of the 7th star, Alkaid or Chinese Yaoguang)

I thought it would be easy.

In the history of the Big Dipper,

only a few can surpass the Seventh.

It took me decades of hard work

to light up the star of Tianshu and become a master. (TN: North Star of the Big Dipper)

You all should practice in the heart and diligently redeem any lack of knowledge.

Don't rush for success and lose your heart.

Next!

Excuse me! Move, move!

Lu Ping would like to connect to the star of destiny.

Senior Sister, what are you doing here?

He has learned from Guo Youdao and from myself.

What? He's not allowed to participate?

Senior Sister, it's not like you don't know.

Big Dipper disciples who want to connect to the star of destiny must have more than three pneuma powers.

Lu Ping only has two pneuma powers and he has been seriously injured recently.

What if something bad happens? It's dangerous!

Master, please let me try.

I'm responsible for my life and death.

Lu Ping, you—

You can.

Lu Ping, be careful! Don't break my Star map.

Lu Ping, focus your mind!

No way! I will not be a prisoner of these chains.

He is only a new disciple.

His star of destiny is already so close to the Big Dipper.

What kind of strength he has!

How could it be that star?

Double stars of Kaiyang. (TN: 6th star of the Big Dipper, Mizar)

It's Guo Youdao's star of destiny.

Watch out! The star is falling.

Where is Lu Ping?

Lu Ping, are you okay?

My master's star of destiny.

His star of destiny fell.

Didn't you already receive his pneumatic powers?

We agreed to escape if we don't go now, it'll be too late.

Lu Ping, you can't run away.

Wei Tianqi, what trouble are you trying to cause?

The master fights with the master, the disciple fights with the disciple.

Hatred for hatred and tit for tat.

Lu Ping, are you okay?

He no longer has any pneumatic power at all.

How could that be?

Who said you could come to fight him?

Come with me!

Why are you still standing around? Hurry, take him back to the Medicinal Chamber!

[Medicinal Chamber]

You are awake?

It's a great day for you, right?

Master, what happened?

You were smashed by Old Guo's star of destiny.

Now all your meridians are locked.

Your pneumatic powers are all gone.

Gone?

That's right! You've essentially become useless.

Master, was he kidding me?

Why did he do that?

He's more of a bandit at heart than he ever let on.

Who knows what he was thinking?

He would never harm me.

Right?

Don't think about it anymore! Get some rest.
