The Moon Brightens for You

Episode 14

No more caring?

maybe god has planned this out for me,

no distractions.

Turns out

it's not a matter of timing,

we just aren't destined to be together.

Sir

maybe,

you should give up.

Give up?

Did you find a cure this time?

Not at the moment,

this is Linlong ball,

carry it with you at all times,

it's full of calming ingredients.

And you can try

meditation,

it will help with

your emotions.

Wenxuan,

I will find expert doctors

when I get back to the capital.

This poison

must be cured.

What are you taking me here?

Qiu An,

this is my student.

Huo Yang,

Sir Huo,

I'm not a sir.

What are you guys doing?

Along with the deputy,

we are trying to find out all the people

who were killed by Yixuan and green-dragon.

We're looking for their offspring,

trying to offer them some help.

On this roll,

you can find the Family Huo tragedy.

Family Huo from Feng Lin,

56 people,

all killed by Yixuan and Green-dragon.

Rubbish.

You're from family Huo.

you can find witnesses

among the captives from Yixuan and Green-dragon,

they saw what happened 15 years ago.

You can ask them if you don't believe it.

Not possible.

My teacher saved me.

Li Muxi lied to you,

and she made you think you should be grateful,

she made you learn Yixuan Kungfu,

actually she wants to

make you a pawn for house Yixuan,

you think of her as a teacher,

but she used you as a weapon.

My god,

Sole survivor of a familicide,

and the survivor mistook the murderer for father,

From Wulin insights,

I've heard a lot of these odd relationship,

but

it actually happened to him.

I've collected all this information,

how come you're not complimenting me?

His energy,

how come he recovered so quickly?

Thanks to your resurrection infusion,

Lady Zhan,

it was all my fault before.

I'm a man of my word,

a bet is a bet,

Teacher.

Good student,

That's right.

Qiu An

did seem like an adult back there.

Another youth star has fallen.

Isn't it?

According to this rate,

he will eventually become a stubborn old man.

What?

I got a student today,

but you two

don't look too happy.

You're bring him?

He hurt you,

and he tried to kill you.

The past is in the past,

stop bringing it up.

I'm warning you,

if I found out that

you're trying to betray Qinghong,

I will take your life with my sword.

If you hurt my teacher's feelings,

I will do the same to you.

That's right.

Xiao Lan,

Alright,

stop fighting,

you have to get along

then you can protect her together.

Let's go.

There's a pig.

What are you doing?

I'm a good friend of ma'am,

you can't...

I know you want an apology,

I'm sorry,

I shouldn't have drugged you,

I just...

but I...

That's enough,

thank you for putting drug in the porridge,

and the weapon,

I'll keep that in mind.

Alright, alright,

just remember from now on,

listen to ma'am,

more importantly,

listen to me.

Let's go.

So sudden.

Umbrella, umbrella.

Ma'am,

What are you doing?

Didn't expect you behind the door.

Look what I got.

Why do you have it?

A servant from Qiu sent it over.

Qiu An,

how come he didn't do it himself?

And there's a letter.

Hand sister,

here is the jade.

but,

it doesn't mean I've given up.

Starting today,

I will listen to director,

be a real man.

compete with deputy director fairly.

Kids these days.

Why are you laughing?

Did you read my letter?

Ma'am,

see,

so many people are chasing you,

if the nautical-brothers found out,

they're going to be so amused.

Not just amused,

they'll be surprised.

They always teased me for having no suitors.

Hand sister,

have you seen the most beautiful view

in Cang Wu?

What view?

Cang Wu has a lot of rain,

the most beautiful view

is the sunset from the mountain.

the stone-road covered with flourishing moss,

the ancient trees surrounded by the vines,

all that in the mist of the rain,

the sun shine through.

I've been here for a while now,

I've never seen that.

How about

let's take a look?

Yeah.

But we need some snacks for hiking.

Huo Yang,

prepare something for us to eat.

Yes,

He listens to you?

Of course.

Midnight tonight,

The restaurant at bower slope outside the city,

death pact,

be there.

Bower slope?

That's the place for the sunset.

What are you looking at?

Director,

director.

Look,

someone sent me a fight letter.

This is not a fight letter.

It's a love letter,

he wants to meet.

Isn't it Sir Wen?

sending letters with a flying blade,

so odd.

Today,

Bower slope is mine,

you guys,

don't think about coming.

If you want to see the sunset,

go to somewhere else.

Hand sister.

Where are you going?

I have to protect teacher.

You protect me.

Ok.

Let's go,

Hand sister,

you're just putting us off

now you have Sir Wen?

Don't follow me.

Darn it.

I was going to propose to her today,

who would know,

I'd be blocked by Sir Wen again.

Then why didn't you stop Qinghong?

I wanted to,

but I couldn't do it.

You couldn't?

Director,

do you know that

now my heart

feels sore and painful,

very upsetting.

I really want to pick up my sword

and fight with Sir Wen,

till one of us is dead.

But I saw how happy she was

when she got the letter.

That made me hesitant.

I was going to buy some candy,

but I didn't find it in Cang Wu,

so I got these.

That's a lot of effort.

Do you like it?

Yeah.

How much do you like it?

I like it, I like it, I like it.

Wen You,

I swear to the moon,

this life,

I will only like Qinghong,

life is limited,

but love is limitless,

no matter what happens,

I won't change my mind.

easy times, hard times,

I won't let you down.

Qinghong,

in a couple of day,

I have to go back to Jun'an,

I know.

That's why I asked you to come here,

I have something to ask you.

What is it?

When I get home,

I will tell my parents,

I'll ask my father to write a letter

to ask your parents for their blessings.

What do you think?

This is for you.

This is the commitment present.

I have something too.

No need,

you don't need to give me anything.

I really am prepared.

I've been carrying it for a long time,

just didn't find a chance to give you.

How should I carry it?

There's no string,

there's no necklace,

do you want me to hold it in my hand?

Then give it back.

No, no, no.

I love it.

I'll put it in my mouth, ok?

Give it to me.

I'll keep it for now,

I...

I...

I'll give it to you after I put a string on it.

Then is that a yes?

Yes to what?

You accepted the present,

and you gave me a present,

it means

you agreed to marry me.

You're now mine.

I...I...

I don't know,

this happened so suddenly,

I...

I'll get a string first.

I want a handmade one.

Wen You proposed to Qinghong,

I wonder if Qinghong has said yes.

Sir,

we will find a cure eventually.

Eventually?

One year?

ten years?

or twenty years?

Maybe before we could find a cure...

Sir.

These two

are my most trusted friend

and my beloved woman,

if two of us three can be happy,

it's good enough.

Is that what you really think?

Director.

If you already made up your mind,

I'll go stop her

from distracting you.

No need,

if there's no feeling,

she won't see me even up close.

if there is feeling,

there's no mountain high enough.

Why are you doing this to yourself?

Director,

something big happened.

Look at your blushed face,

do you have some good news?

Yes,

or maybe no.

I don't know.

it's something big though.

I know,

it's marriage.

You're so wise.

you know everything.

Wait,

you didn't tell him to do it, did you?

No.

I guess he came up with it himself.

But what should I do?

Wen You,

Wen You proposed to me.

Accept it if you want to,

reject it if no.

What else can you do?

but judging from your look,

did you reject him?

No, I didn't.

I didn't accept either.

Really?

Wen You said,

he will only love me,

he will never let me down.

And he's asking for my parents' blessings.

Deep down

of course I'm happy,

but,

he wants an answer now,

I just panicked.

Director,

have you liked anybody?

Why am I acting like this?

maybe I don't feel the same way

he feels about me.

Liking somebody,

is sacrifice and putting efforts unconditionally.

you just want to make them happy.

I like to practice with Wen You,

I like to argue with him,

I'd be anxious

if he's not around.

and when he shows up,

I'd be at peace.

Do I like him enough?

You like him enough.

What did Sir Wen say?

Did he propose?

How did you know?

You said yes?

No.

I ran away.

Why didn't I say yes?

Idiot.

That's the right move,

life is still long,

you don't have to rush to marriage.

Do we have more strings?

I remember you bought a lot in Cang Wu.

Why do you want more?

Making a necklace.

Why do you want to make that?

I promised Wen You,

I'll make him a necklace as an answer.

So you said yes after all.

No,

I didn't say yes,

I figured,

I just said yes

to a necklace.

That's a yes.

I'm confused,

anyway I just said yes to make him a necklace,

and I'll give him the jade.

So that's a yes.

So what if I did?

Fine.

When I was home,

I always thought it's weird

that mum was happy making dad clothes,

why was she so happy?

I finally get it,

it is a happy event.

You're so cheesy.

Wait till you have a crush.

So just like that?

you just gave yourself away like that?

How else?

You don't want to keep looking?

Thinking about it,

maybe someone better will come along.

Nope,

no one is better than him.

It's true that love can blind you.

This looks simple,

but why it's so hard to make?

Told you to learn needlework,

but you didn't listen.

Regret it now, do you?

Give it to me,

I'll make it for you,

No,

commitment present has to be made by me.

Let me help.

Hang on,

I know your skills,

not a chance.

you're turning me down?!

I am the second-best needleworker

in all family Zhan, ok?

there's only three women there,

my mum,

me,

and you.

Still better than you.

I'm not arguing with you,

I know someone.

She must be really good at it.

I'm good too.

Director,

I'm too stupid,

show me one last time.

Director,

why is it different again?

Just teach me the simplest one.

Give me your hand.

I've seen stupid,

I've never seen stupid like you.

Leave please,

I can't teach you.

don't disturb me.

Fine,

I'm super talented,

I can handle a heart-knot.

Wanqing,

Yes?

Let's go to Bower slope.

Yes.

Xiao Lan,

Director.

You're here for the lights too?

Ma'am made it sound so touching,

so I wanna see it myself.

It is beautiful.

Director,

I think if you like someone,

you should tell her.

What are you trying to say?

Ma'am is about

to accept Sir Wen's proposal,

she's almost taken,

why haven't you done anything?

Xiao Lan,

you're mistaken.

Director,

I'm not mistaken,

you're always standoffish,

but the way you look at her,

sometimes happy,

sometimes disappointment,

if that's not love, what is it?

You're wrong.

Impossible,

I...

I have never

liked her in my life,

not before,

not now.

not

in the future,

do you understand?

Fine,

director,

this is all I can do.

Ma'am is a silly goose,

but she knows her place.

Hopefully you didn't cover up

and forgot who you are.

If forgetting is possible,

that would be grand.

Qinghong,

I'm going back to Jun'an,

I want to check,

do you have an answer?

Can you give it to me now?

This jade

is my answer.

Qinghong,

the moment I get back,

I will let my parents know,

I'll ask them to ask your parents.

ask them for their blessings.

Ok.

Family Zhou is tricky,

Wenxuan,

please take extra care.

I know what I should do.

Zisu,

we should go.

Yes.

Wenxuan,

Qinghong,

take care.

Uncle Xiahou,

be safe.

Let's go.

Wait for me.

Ok, I'll wait for you.

They're gone,

don't worry.

But I miss him already.

Don't worry,

you won't miss him when you're busy.

I'll give you more tasks

when we're on the Linzhou trip.

Do I get a raise?

Nope.

Evil world.

Director.

Cang Wu is stabilized,

you're in charge of it now,

take care of it.

Don't let me down.

I will try my best.

We will meet again,

headman Qiu,

no need to escort us.

Director,

I have something

to talk to hand sister about.

Hand sister,

Linzhou is hundred miles away,

not sure when will we meet again.

You're very sentimental for your age.

I'm almost eighteen!

Plus I'm the branch director,

I can't act like a kid,

that day,

you're hurt by Huo Yang,

deputy director

almost went crazy for you.

I knew at that moment,

I can't compete with him.

Don't be so serious,

this is not adorable.

A swan like you

can only be matched with

an eagle like Sir Wen.

It's a shame that

I have too many responsibilities,

I can't leave Cang Wu behind

and travel the world with you.

I just hope that

when you're flying,

don't forget me,

the sparrow from Cang Wu.

I will miss you,

forever

and ever.

Qiu An,

this

is for you.

What is it?

It's a hair stick from my mother,

I hope you'd accept it,

Whatever you need in the future,

just send me this as a sign,

I will come for you.

I

will come to your rescue.

Qinghong,

it's nice gesture from headman Qiu,

you should accept it.

Ok.

I'll keep it.

Director Lin,

hand sister,

safe trip.

Qiu An,

take care.

This is just for now,

hope to meet again.

Director,

Dongxue, Wanqing,

get back to double flower now.

Yes.

Flower.

look at ours.

Umbrella.

I'll take two.

Ok.

Here's the money.

Thanks.

Look.

Director,

I think someone's following us.

Let them follow.

Take a look.

Boss,

Director and his crew

is here.

Finally.

Linzhou specialty, take a look.

Umbrella.

take a look.

Waiter,

more booze.

Ok, right away.

Even though

Linzhou is less beautiful than Cang Wu,

and it's less spectacular than Yangtze,

it has its own charm.

The canals in Linzhou

go to everywhere,

the city was born because of it,

it is known for its water transport.

It is truly a city of water.

Indeed a city of water.

interesting,

we had to take a boat to get here even.

It's exactly because of the canals,

family Zhou's water escorting service

is one and only in Xiao empire.

Water escorting?

when escorting businesses use canals,

it's called water escorting.

it's land escorting when it's done on land.

Water escorting and land escorting

both have close-escorting and distance-escorting,

and there's a new service

in Linzhou,

it's called express-escorting.

Look.

Thank you.

Here.

Coming through,

I'm in a rush.

Coming through, please and thank you.

This exists?

Coming through, coming through.

Let's go.

Director,

we rented out the whole inn again?

you're so generous.

No,

this Blessing inn

is family Lin's property.

Director,

you are handsome and talented,

rich and generous,

pretty like a flower.

Director,

should we send a greeting letter

to family Zhou?

Naturally,

take the envelope with gold.

Ok.

Are you

the new director of Wulin?

Director Lin.

I am Lin Fang.

I'm the butler of family Zhou, Senior Zhong,

I have the order from my master, Zhou Bo,

to be here to greet you.

This is the list of the gifts,

please accept it.

Thank you for the hospitality.

I,

don't deserve it.

I don't know

when can I meet with headman Zhou,

so I can thank him in person?

Don't worry about it,

these items,

to family Zhou,

are nothing.

My master

wants to send a message,

family Zhou doesn't want to be involved in Wulin,

there's no need to draw us in.

Take care.

Please wait,

is your master home?

At this moment,

I'm not sure,

maybe he's at some girl's gallery.

master forbade men from the galleries,

you

don't need to look.

I have business to tend to,

take care.

Family Zhou

is our target this time, right?

Trying to get rid of us by sending a butler?

That's very arrogant.

Director,

the butler is a poison expert.

Sister Yanzhi,

how do you know?

He tried very hard to hide,

but the practice is in his veins,

a fellow practitioner can tell right away.

And he's just a butler?

Family Lin from Linzhou,

only a few years ago,

it is only inferior than Jun'an family,

naturally it has some history.

We'll talk it through when we're inside.

Sister Yanzhi,

you said the butler's palm is green

because of poison practice,

but you use poison as well,

why are your hands so pale and smooth?

I know skin care.

Can you teach me?

I want to be like this too.

Everyday,

put your hands in a bucket full of insects

for two hours.

Do it for ten years.

then you can have smooth and supple fingers.

If you want to learn,

I can send the bugs to your room tomorrow.

I was just joking,

I practice kungfu,

when it comes to skin,

it's not important.

Yanzhi,

Is butler good compare to you?

I have to find out in a fight.

But,

he cannot be overlooked.

Director,

just give the word,

I'll take Huo Yang

to get Zhou Yang for you,

Me is enough.

Hand Zhan,

Huo,

that's not a good idea.

Why not?

it's a good idea.

Because Zhous are not thugs,

they are an honest house.

What?

During the natural disaster a few years ago,

family Zhou helped a lot of civilians,

that's why they have a good reputation.

If they're not bad people,

why are they hiding?

Why don't they want to work with us?

Seems like they've done something bad.

What is he like?

He's the most handsome man in Linzhou.

Most handsome in Linzhou?

Director,

is he more handsome than you?

Do not compare him with me.

But,

I heard that he's a kungfu master.

highly intelligent.

Plus,

They have 35 escorting businesses,

they even have branches in Xi Yan,

they're very powerful.

Seems like,

he's a person with everything.

Zhou Bo has enormous powers,

but he doesn't want to be involved in Wulin,

if that's true,

why is he doing escorting business?

Zhou Bo,

he's something else.

He does not like bribes or compliments,

this trip

is going to be tough.

Why are you here?

Other than boss,

who can give me orders?

I am the thief Feng Bufei,

not some fast horse,

giving me rush orders every day!

Boss told me to tell you,

must keep an eye on Lin Fang,

seven-star swordsmanship

might be on him.

Alright, I got it.

You can leave now.

I can't leave yet,

I have to be here,

I can't let you hurt Lin Fang.

I want him.

Why do you want Lin Fang?

I want to make him

into a pretty dull.

What do you think?

Isn't is a great idea?

Crazy.

He managed to escape last time,

I haven't had a chance for so long.

Now,

he's on your territory.

I'm warning you,

I don't care what you do,

but you can't mess up boss's plan,

Feng the third.

Zhong the second,

I'm warning you,

do not call me Feng the third,

your student called me that last time,

so I killed him.

You tricked me,

you poisoned me.

Give me the anecdote.

Zhong the second,

you old fart,

you, you,

I'm telling you,

don't make me.

Brother Zhong.

What do you think?

How can we meet Zhou Bo?

Judging from what the butler said earlier,

he seems to be into girls.

if that's true,

send a woman pretending to be a dancer,

talk to him in his house.

maybe it's a good idea.

Pretending to be a dancer?

I don't do such things.

Me neither.

Even though I'm pretty like a flower,

asking me to be a dancer?

I'd prefer to kill him.

I'm not thinking about you,

you have a killing vibe,

everybody can see through that.

Indeed.

What?

I am the famous

Cloud fairy.

I have a fairy aura,

fairy!

I don't have a killing vibe.

Ma'am,

it's good to be confident,

but over-confident?

that's arrogance.

that's not good.

Director,

Things like selling beauty

should be given to me.

No.

why not?

You

just

don't have beauty.

You.

Xiao Lan,

it's good to be confident,

but over-confidence is arrogance,

that's not good.

Huo Yang!

Stop arguing,

this time,

I'll go.

Director,

you're beautiful like a flower,

when Zhou Bo sees you,

he will definitely be swept off his feet.

I knew

we can count on you.

Let me finish,

This time, I'll go delegate.

Xiao Lan,

you're on.

It's me.

Director,

you do have sharp eyes.

Qinghong,

are you practicing swords

or reciting poems?

Saying goes

separated for one day

is like forever.

I know

you're missing Zisu.

Don't look.

You're writing Zisu a letter?

you're in the mood.

Just a draft,

I'm just making a draft.

Director,

your inn

looks average from the outside,

but has a fine interior.

When did you do this?

Since I became the director,

I sent people to different regions

to open up inns and restaurants

to collect information about Wulin.

Director,

you like to collect gossip too?

As the director,

of course I should know what's happening.

Fine,

whatever you say.

You always have plans.

Do you want me to write it for you?

looks like you're having a tough time.

No,

letters represent sincerity,

how can I use a proxy?

it's not like I'm making a copy.

Since you don't need my help,

I should go.

Director,

I do need your help with something.

Go ahead.

How do you think

I should send the letter?

so Wen You will definitely get it?

Do you have any ideas?

This is easy,

ask the local Wulin Insights

to send the message.

Wulin insights?

Is Wulin insights yours too?

Yes.

Why didn't you tell earlier?

You never asked.

Director,

you're the most beautiful man in the east,

are you hiding something?

I lived up to the name.

This is quite nice,

I'm about to go on a dangerous trip,

and I can't take my sword,

how about

giving me this as a gift?

Ok.

You are the director,

come from a rich family,

so generous.

Do you have anything else to give me?

Yes.
