The Moon Brightens for You

Episode 11

Junior,

bring all the things from your bag.

Senior,

you want to bring everything,

the people in the know

understand that we're visiting the director,

along with visiting our junior nautical-sister,

the people not in the know

probably would think that we're moving out

Frugal at home, lavish on the road.

we have to be prepared,

make more plans.

Wulin insights has said,

Junior sister is famous now,

she's the hand to the director,

she's made a name in Wulin,

now,

she won't care about these things anymore.

sister is not like that,

don't say that about her.

I am joking,

don't be so serious.

Junior,

you should be more serious,

if you put more thoughts into things,

your kungfu would...

Senior,

you're on it again.

Senior,

I will practice as well,

can I marry nautical-sister now?

Teacher

teacher.

You're acting differently,

are you worried about something?

You guys go ahead

and pack up the carriage.

Yes.

You don't have to worry about the trip,

I've already asked Xiahou to take care of Hong,

she's under Xiahou's care,

I'm not worried about her.

It's just that....

Zhan,

you've been hiding from the world

as a promise to the former director.

All these years,

the promise has pressured you,

you can't even breath.

Fortunately Sir Lin didn't disappoint

and made it to the throne of director.

It's your time to finalize the promise.

it's a perfect timing.

If this time

everything goes as I wished,

wife,

in my opinion,

we can actually retire.

Lady Wen,

General Xiahou,

Lady Wen,

what's the matter?

Actually,

I've been waiting for you.

Waiting for me?

General Xiahou, you're always busy,

have some snacks when you have the time.

take a break.

I'm not bragging,

but I've been practicing

my barbecue skills since a kid.

When I was young,

I'd practice in the mountains with my nautical-brothers,

we'd catch a chicken when we're hungry,

they'd bite their tongue eating it.

Yeah,

Ma'am,

you did not go easy on those chickens.

Me?

you ate the most.

You're teasing Xiao Lan?

you must have eaten lots.

and you took a leg no less.

This is not for me,

this is for the director.

I know the rules.

Director,

the chicken is ready,

the chicken is ready.

Director,

take this,

take it.

It's not ready yet,

save some for me.

it's not ready!

you can't do this to the cook.

it was my hard work.

I hope you get fat!

I have a leg here,

go ahead.

More?

Thank you.

You have it.

Then don't mind me.

you're not hungry?

Nope.

Have some.

Ok.

Or,

we can share.

Ok.

Smaller bite.

I'll have a bite.

That's a huge bite.

then I'll have two bites.

Yum.

Right?

So good.

good.

so good.

Take care,

take a look,

floral fabrics.

Lady,

what's the matter?

Ma'am,

there's an odd couple

that said they rented out the inn,

and they kicked us out.

Who is it?

That's them.

Who are you?

how can you kick us out?

This inn

is ours.

Get out of here.

You,

you're not reasonable.

Reason?

this is reason.

What?

You're not worried that we have more people?

Everyone,

we can tell you the truth,

the reason we rented out the inn

is to wait for the director of Wulin.

If you have a sense,

leave now.

We...

What?

We'll leave, ok?

Smart move.

if you offended the director,

you'll have a hard time.

My friend is too blunt,

if you're offended,

please excuse us.

Who are those people?

How can they use the director as an excuse?

The man is the housemaster Cao from Yixuan,

that zappy woman

is Lin Muzhong from green-dragon.

So, they're marking territory?

Marking territory?

You're right.

And we're just going to sneak out like this?

Ma'am,

you're worried that we don't have a place to stay?

I'm worried about the director.

They kicked us out,

they are going to invite us back.

Zisu,

please get in touch with

the region governor.

Yes,

these two houses

are messing up Cang Wu,

but the governor didn't say anything,

something must be wrong,

Dongxue, Wanqing.

you wait here.

Yes,

yes.

Qinghong.

you come with me.

To do what?

Take you for a tour.

Have you been to Cang Wu before?

No,

but,

now we have an excuse

to relax a little.

Director,

we're here to work.

You don't understand,

director meant

that the two houses

should relax a little on us.

I want to go too.

Please.

Ma'am,

the girls here are so shy.

Yeah,

not everyone is crazy like you.

How can they contain themselves

in front of people like Sir Lin?

You don't know it,

Cang Wu is a wholesome place,

not open like Jun'an.

How do you know this?

Sir Lin must have told you.

Look, that man is so handsome.

Don't drag me.

Director,

don't smile,

think about the trip,

you've affected so many girls.

You have so many fates to fulfill.

What a shame,

even like this,

none of the fates is what I look for.

As the director of Wulin,

plus your pretty face,

let alone girls,

not even a man can say no to you.

Who's this tasteless.

Director,

Stop smiling,

more people are going to faint

if you keep smiling.

Director,

we're being followed.

Not sure if it's green-dragon or Yixuan?

This is it.

Welcome.

He went across the street.

What does he want?

He's probably just spying on us,

no big deal.

We are

just strolling around.

looking around.

These are so beautiful.

Of course,

Cang Wu is known for rouge,

whenever Jun'an imported rouge from Cang Wu,

people would fight for them.

Sir,

you're an expert.

Then I have to get a lot.

Boss,

give me all your best stock.

Give us Sweeping Ten.

Sir,

You are an expert.

Right away.

Sweeping Ten?

sounds expensive,

do you have money?

Of course,

as long as you like,

not only Sweeping Ten,

I'll buy this shop for you if you want,

I have the money.

We don't have to be that dramatic.

Here it comes.

What is sweeping ten?

Look,

this is it.

Those are beautiful already,

the sweeping ten is simple amazing.

Which color suits me best?

I think,

you have fair skin,

use this red,

just a slight touch

is enough.

I'll do it.

Don't move,

close your eyes.

They're looking at us,

Do we have to be like this?

Of course.

Sir,

this color

is perfect for you.

Boss,

pack this up for us.

Ok.

Thank you.

For real?

I thought we're just acting.

Let's give them the whole act,

consider it a gift.

Really?

Director,

you are a true hero,

smart and handsome,

friends of women.

Lose the last one.

No,

this is why you're popular among women,

Wen You, on the other hand,

knows nothing about this.

Well,

all good,

take care.

Xiao Lan,

let's go.

Ma'am.

am I beautiful?

They're just strolling around,

buying rouge.

Exactly,

There's nothing suspicious going on.

Go,

Yes.

Looks like,

the new director is nothing to be worried about,

he has no actual strategy,

he just know entertainment.

and Hand Zhan,

is just a girl who's into rouge.

Wasted my day

waiting on a couple of

fearless and stupid kids.

The only tricky one

is Wen You.

He's the son of Wen Qiao,

the assistant of the prince.

Don't you forget,

Cang Wu

cannot be reached by the court,

not to mention the son of the assistant,

even if the assistant is here himself,

it's not going to make a difference.

Housemaster Li has a point.

Cang Wu

belongs to house Yixuan...

and house green-dragon.

Housemaster Cao,

why didn't you

put green-dragon first?

Housemaster Li,

the enemies are here,

we should be on the same team.

That's true,

sounds about right.

What is Gu Yue nervous about?

Just a few kids

messing about.

You're messing about.

Why are you here?

Why didn't you let Lin Fang stay at the inn?

Marking territory.

Exactly.

That's over-thinking,

if Lin Fang was at the inn,

it'd be easier for your plan

That's true.

It's already like this,

what should we do?

Get him back

the way you kicked him out.

House Green-dragon, Li Muzhong,

House Yixuan, Cao Yang.

please to meet the director.

Rise.

We're stupid earlier,

didn't recognize you.

sorry about that.

please forgive us.

Fortunately you didn't go too far,

we had the chance to catch up,

lucky we have a chance to apologize.

Yeah, yeah.

Doesn't matter.

It's my first time being here,

I can't blame you.

That's not gonna do,

I will set up a ceremony

at restaurant Bihan

tomorrow,

to welcome

the director.

Please give us the opportunity.

I will.

I will be there on time.

Qinghong,

it's a crucial moment of the game.

it's a crucial moment

of Cang Wu as well.

How come

you're not showing your plan?

Be patient,

when it's the time,

you'll have your opportunity.

Director,

Zisu,

anything?

Just like we expected.

pretty much what we already knew,

these two houses are the local tyrants,

killings, robberies,

kidnapping,

they do everything.

Housemasters Cao and Li

instead of discipline their people,

they tried to make money from it.

How can the governor

let these bullies behave like this?

I went to the governor's house,

but I didn't even get in.

But,

I asked around,

the governor takes donations

every year from the two houses.

I knew they're colluding!

But

good thing we're here.

When the time comes,

we'll get rid of all of them.

When the time comes,

don't go easy on them.

These two

pretend to not know us earlier,

tried to mark their territory,

now they're throwing us a ceremony,

they must be hiding something.

They pretended, we can pretend too.

Let's play along.

As long as the director says so,

I'll play along too.

Please excuse me.

Pardon me.

Come on,

I'll show you something,

come on, come on.

What is this?

Look,

where did you get all these rouges?

Director's gift.

Why did he give you so many rough?

To confuse our enemy,

he can't use it,

so it's mine.

Look,

isn't this color beautiful?

I'm wearing it now,

isn't is natural?

This is so beautiful,

do you want to give it a try?

No.

Come on, Sir Wen,

Sir Wen,

just give in, Sir Wen,

Don't be shy, Sir Wen,

Stop it,

Don't fight it, Sir Wen,

That's enough.

What?

Don't be shy.

it is normal

for men to use rouge.

I don't want it.

You don't want it?

In the future,

you can only accept my gifts.

Why?

What are you guys doing?

I...

Don't forget

to go to the ceremony with director.

Is it a bad time?

I'm off.

Em.

The em is not for you, it's for Wen You.

Yeah.

Sir Wen,

Ma'am,

if I came in a bit later,

would you have...

Sir Wen, Sir Wen.

Please, director.

Please.

Please

come in.

Please take a seat.

Director,

if we have offended you,

please forgive us.

Don't mention it,

after all we came here rather suddenly

and without notifying you,

it is my fault.

the past

is in the past.

The director is so generous,

he won't lower himself to our level.

This young man

must be deputy director Wen,

Housemaster Cao,

please to meet you.

It's my pleasure.

This

must be cloud fairy

Housemaster Li,

I'm Zhan Qinghong from house Zhan.

It's an honor to meet you.

Thank you for the ceremony,

I will drink this

to show our respect.

Down it.

Director,

this is not lavish,

please forgive us.

Us house Yixuan

are always ready for your inspection.

Director,

house green-dragon has a trading business,

we don't have much,

but we have a lot of novelties.

As long as you like,

I'll deliver them to your house.

Thank you for your generosity.

These two

have bad intentions.

Director is trying to drive a wedge between them.

Later,

follow my lead.

We didn't know

why did you come to Cang Wu?

What is the matter at hand?

Don't be concerned, housemaster Cao,

I just became the director,

the purpose of the trip

is just to get to know Wulin.

Walk around,

look around.

That's good thinking,

what do you think about Cang Wu?

Cang Wu is full of flowers,

such beautiful sceneries

and wonderful people.

It's very different from Jun'an.

Plus,

plus,

the rouge are top-notch,

cloud fairy and I bought some yesterday.

You have sent people

to protect me in secret,

I should've asked them

to bring back some gifts for you.

The director is such a joker,

Wen You,

who's the woman behind Li Muzhong?

she looks like she's ready to fight.

She's the deputy at house green-dragon,

the sister of Li Muzhong, Li Muxi,

Director,

here,

I'll top you off.

To you.

Director,

I'll top you off.

To tell you the truth,

Cang Wu

is a pivotal region in Wulin,

but due to the sovereignty,

it has been overlooked by the assembly.

So my plan is to....

Director,

you shouldn't drink anymore.

I plan on finding someone

who's reputable in Cang Wu,

taking some responsibilities off me.

Take full charge of Cang Wu.

Director,

that's great,

in Cang Wu,

house green-dragon

is the only one that can take full charge.

If you don't mind,

house Yixuan

is willing to step up.

We're better to....

You are the two big houses in Cang Wu,

I,

I'm counting on you.

Of course.

Director,

to you.

to the director.

Looks harmonious.

Director,

cloud fairy,

here,

I've heard a lot about you,

this one is to you.

Housemaster Cao,

Hand Zhan has many duties,

this one,

I'll take this on her behalf.

Ok.

I can drink.

hand Zhan,

us sisters

should toast as well.

Ok.

Here,

Housemaster Li,

this drink

I'll take it for her too.

Ok.

I said I can drink.

Girls aren't supposed to drink.

why can't girls drink?

Isn't she a girl too?

drinking

is making friends,

and friends can talk about anything.

Exactly,

who says girls can't drink?

Here,

I'll fill you up.

Thank you,

What are you doing?

What's that attitude?

Why can't I drink?

Good,

cloud fairy is truly straightforward,

you are a true daughter of Wulin.

Extraordinary!

Here.

I'll drink with you.

You want to drink?

I'll accompany you.

Housemaster Cao,

this one is to you.

here.

Housemaster Li,

here,

that's right.

Today,

we have to get drunk.

Come on.

Housemaster Li,

to you.

Ok.

You two think about it.

Wen You,

you made the director mad.

You made him mad.

Wait,

why is he mad?

I know it's partly my fault,

but you shouldn't encourage me to drink,

don't you know that I'd drink too much?

How did I encourage you?

I was worried that they're mocking you.

I am the hand to the director,

how can they mock me?

I just wanted to get more information

for the director.

It's one thing that if you can drink,

but you're not good at it.

plus you don't know how to read people.

what information were you getting?

You don't think I'm good for it.

Who is that?

Go hide.

Qinghong,

Ma'am,

I came to help you.

Xiao Lan,

I'm here to help you.

Uncle Xiahou,

go that way.

Retrieve.

General Xiahou,

why are you chasing?

Go look at the director,

and tell me what's the situation.

Director,

are you ok?

Director,

you're holding a knife like a pen.

Qinghong, Zisu,

do you know you've done wrong?

Yes,

we shouldn't have been impulsive

and drank that much.

I shouldn't impulsively

start a drinking game with Qinghong.

We're surrounded by danger in Cang Wu,

we put the director

in danger.

Before departure,

what did I tell you?

People can be evil,

you've fallen into a trap today.

If I got here a bit later today,

Uncle Xiahou,

think about the good aspects

of what had happened tonight.

Consider it a happy accident,

they accidentally

smoked out these two houses.

But....

they are not always impulsive,

Wen Xuan,

more things will happen in the future,

they can't be this naive.

They have to be punished.

Uncle Xiahou,

they know they're wrong,

just send them back to rest.

Qinghong,

you have to

put some medicine on your wound.

Leave.

Failed?

Teacher,

I will kill him next time.

Missed the first time,

missed the best chance.

Let's stay put for now.

Yes.

I'm fine.

Fortunately Qinghong got here in time.

Dongxue, Wanqing,

leave us.

Yes.

Did you find out which house is it?

I fought with them before,

and I think their style

is very similar with Yixuan's,

but it's not necessarily them.

Doesn't matter which house.

Uncle Xiahou,

why did you come here today?

The court sent us to assist you

to fix Cang Wu as soon as possible.

Don't worry,

this matter

will be handled within days.

Qinghong,

how are you?

Sorry,

it is my fault today.

I shouldn't have done that to you.

I promise in the future,

no matter what happens,

director is the priority,

I will focus on the big picture.

Doesn't matter,

let's drop it,

I'm at fault too,

gained a little but lost a great deal.

Ok.

I brought medicine,

put it on.

Frozen infusion?

Ma'am,

this is the magical infusion!

skin whitening and rebirth,

a blessing in disguise.

Frozen infusion?

do you have more?

No,

why aren't you putting it on?

do you want a scar?

Why are you just sitting there?

Put it on.

Sir Wen,

how can I put it on for her

with you standing here?

Well,

I'll leave you to it,

I'm off.

Ma'am,

Sir Wen seemed like

he really wanted to put it on for you.

and you...

you want that too, right?

Put it on.

Take your clothes off then.

Which house is it?

The assassins

used house Yixuan's style,

but in my opinion,

they must be related to green-dragon.

they're framing each other,

trying to gain some advantage.

What should we do then?

Give them a taste

of their own medicine.

This assassin is hasty,

he'll be a big problem

if he stays in the picture.

Director,

Director,

housemaster Cao wants to meet.

Let him in.

Yes.

Director,

how are you?

How serious is it?

I can't believe something like this

happened on my territory.

I...

I am sorry.

Thank you for the concern,

I'm out of the woods now.

Who is it?

how dare him!

This is the enemy of Wulin,

this is my enemy!

Shame.

Thank you for the concern.

Here,

get up.

Director,

the public is saying that

I did this,

you have to clear my name.

You're over-thinking it,

I have found out about

the style of the assassins,

this matter,

I will get to the bottom of it.

That's good.

This is one hundred tael of silver,

just a gesture,

consider it's for the medicine.

Thank you for the thoughts.

My pleasure.

Director,

rest well,

I,

I'll leave now.

Take care.

Please stay.

I'm off.

Director,

your injury

worth only one hundred tael?

Definitely not only a hundred,

there will be more people coming.

Director,

housemaster Li is here.

Director,

are you alright?

Don't worry, housemaster Li,

I'm good now.

Director,

I definitely

did not do this.

I am the housemaster of Green-dragon,

it's impossible

that I would do such a sneaky thing.

Director,

you have to investigate.

Housemaster Li,

looks like it's time

to find someone with common interest

to build a new ground in Cang Wu.

Li Muzhong

will not let you down.

Right, director,

you got injured in Cang Wu,

I have to take some responsibility,

this is nothing

but please accept it.

Thank you.

It's late.

I should go now.

Take some rest,

recover soon.

Please stay,

stay.

Director,

seriously?

You picked her?

Why?

Qinghong,

take these,

go buy some clothes.

Thank you!

Zisu,

I need you

to take care of something,

Yes.

I want to go too.

You have your own task.

What is it?

Shopping.

You're still shopping

after what had happened last night,

it will lower their guards.

Taking this much money from director,

it's making me a bit uneasy.

Yeah, right.

there's only money in your eyes.

Not true,

there's you too.

What did you say?

say that again.

Never mind.

I'll make you say that again.

Then tell me,

what are you going to do with all this money?

I'm planning on

buying a new set of clothes

to go with my cloud fairy reputation.

And?

Right,

Uncle Xiahou's horse is quite old,

I'm getting him a new horse.

and I'll buy some pickled fruits for Xiao Lan,

and finally I'll get the fan we had eyes on,

buy it for the director.

return the favor.

I'm such a sweetheart.

I know I should share

if there's good things.

What about...

What about me?

what's my gift?

Are you being cute?

I'm serious.

But I don't have enough money,

Then,

I'll buy you the clothes,

you can give it to Lin Fang,

then you can get me a gift.

What do you want?

Figure it out.

Give a clue.

Ma'am,

this is beautiful.

Sir Wen picked it out, right?

Not bad.

From now on,

you can only accept my gifts.

Seriously,

This is too glamorous for daily wear.

Wen You's taste

comes and goes.

Ma'am,

what are you going to send Sir Wen?

This.

This is the jade from your mother,

Be careful,

I'm afraid that you're going to trip again

and smash the jade.

The director is obviously more handsome,

I don't get what you're seeing in Sir Wen.

What do I see in him?

I don't know,

I just know when I'm with him,

I'm happy,

and comfortable.

I want to see the world with him,

after the entire Wulin

is stabilized,

we can go travel the world.

We will ride horses,

all over Wulin.

You don't even know what do you like about him,

I don't even know what you're talking about.

Do I need a reason to like him?

Nope,

it's enough

that I have him in my heart.

Ma'am,

are you really giving the jade to Sir Wen?

When the time comes,

you won't know what to say to your parents.

As long as you keep quiet,

they won't even remember I have it.

This jade is also a fish,

are you trying to say

the love between you and Sir Wen

are as deep as the ocean?

Don't even!

Fish is my lucky charm,

I just want him lucky like me.

Ma'am,

do you have anything for the director

to return the favor?

Of course,

I have manners,

I know the rules.

Over there,

Ma'am,

you're giving Sir Wen your family heirloom,

and giving director this crappy fan?

This is a huge difference.

It's Wen You's birthday,

I'll give him the gift now.

Ma'am,

Sir Wen is drinking with director,

do you want to bring this too?

Director,

you're drinking with Wen You without me?

are we even friends?

Director,

I didn't know you have guests,

I should go.

This lady

this is Hand Zhan, Qinghong,

Qinghong,

come here.

This is Headman Qiu.

So you're the famous cloud fairy.

you are spirited.

Headman Qiu?

isn't the headman Qiu

senior Qiu Bunan?

I am Qiu An,

Qiu Bunan is my grandfather.

That's why you have the disposition,

it's because you're an offspring of Qius,

Family Qiu

is a well-known kungfu family in Cang Wu,

Junior Headman,

is your grandfather in Cang Wu?

Headman is headman,

why add the junior.

It's fine,

just call me Qiu An,

grandpa is not in Cang Wu at the moment,

he's living in seclusion in the mountains.

That's a shame,

I thought I can meet him in person.

I heard from Wulin insights that

Headman Qiu

took on Bumble bee stockade by himself,

this kind of achievement

is something I've admired.

Junior headman Qiu must be better,

when can we have a match?

I can see the power of Qiu swordsmanship myself.

Ok.

Anytime.

Too adorable.

Qinghong,

Don't be rude to headman Qiu,

Sorry,

I saw that

you're the same age as my little brother,

I couldn't help but pinched your face.

It's fine.

Qinghong is still passionate.

You don't have to be over-excited,

from now on,

family Qiu is with us.

Really?

Take a seat.

Let's get back to the Cang Wu matter.

How did you know family Qiu?

Director,

according to our investigation,

Gu Yue is in Cang Wu.

And he seems to be working with

house Yixuan and green-dragon.

Gu Yue is expecting us to fight against the two houses,

and he can benefit from it.

Zisu,

we're almost done here.

Ok,

I'll go notify Qiu's people,

ask them to start preparing.

I want to go too.

Ok.

Stop,

look at the floral fabric.

Headman,

you guys get back.

What's happening?

what's happening?

Wen You,

this

is the jade my mum gave me,

I don't think it's beautiful,

you can have it.

can't say that...

Wen You,

it's your birthday today,

this

is my gift to you.

it's a thank you for buying me clothes.

This is too cold.

Wen You,

this is the jade my mum gave me,
