The Legend of Chusen II

Episode 2

We've looked all day and night, but there's still no sign of Xiao Fan.

He won't give up.

I know that based on his personality, if he cannot find the Spiritual Rock,

he wouldn't leave here.

Jing Yu, let me ask you something.

Why did you tell Li Xun about that?

You're not afraid that he'll cause Xiao Fan to not get the Spiritual Rock?

Besides, isn't Bi Yao also your friend?

Do you not want her to come back to life?

I also want to help Xiao Fan resurrect Bi Yao.

But the dead cannot come back to life. Bi Yao is already gone.

Xiao Fan is my only brother.

I can't let him walk into the wrong path.

But he doesn't want to stay in Qing Yun anymore.

That's not possible. He's just heartbroken right now.

So he lost his mind a bit.

Forget it.

Let's find Xiao Fan first.

This place is so big. How did you find it then?

We looked for a long time in Kong San Mountain before. It should be near here.

That's right. This is the cauldron my teacher used to create spells.

As long as we can find the bloody dragonflies that are scattered in this valley

and put them together,

then we can find Constellation Cliff.

In a bit, I'll use magic and try to lead them here.

It succeeded! As long as we follow them, they'll take us to look

for the place in Kong San Mountain that is full of spiritual energy.

It's just, I'm not sure if that is Constellation Cliff.

Let's give it a try.

This is the place. I remember that last time, there was an invisible barrier here.

Then hurry and get the Spiritual Rock.

What about you?

I shouldn't go in.

I'd rather you not fear that I'd stab you in the back from behind.

Thanks.

Zhang Xiao Fan. You must get the Spiritual Rock.

Cliff Master!

Zhang Xiao Fan!

I finally found you! You still remember me?

Of course I remember. Last time when Bi Yao brought you here and healed you,

it's already been over a year. How is your body doing?

What are you doing? Hurry and get up.

Please save Bi Yao!

What?

Bi Yao took the Chusen Sword for me.

Right now, I only want her to wake up!

Get up first to talk. Where is Miss Bi Yao?

She's still at Hu Qi Mountain.

As long as you agree to it, I'll have Ghost King bring her right away!

It's not that I'm not willing, it's just...

Get up first.

Get up!

Zhang Xiao Fan, come with me. I'll take you to see the Spiritual Rock.

If you still insist on resurrecting Miss Bi Yao, then do as you wish.

I can't believe we ran into you here! I didn't think you'd be here.

Young City Master.

I heard you've taken pretty good care of Yudu City.

You're much more amazing than at Qing Yun.

Cut the crap! Where is Zhang Xiao Fan?

How do you know that I'm with him? I haven't seen him.

Then don't blame me for being heartless!

Qing Wu Yan!

After you were saved last time,

this Spiritual Rock's power has faded.

It's glowing parts have shrunken.

Until one day, it attracted lightning and split it apart.

This is the only part left.

It barely keeps up the spiritual power Constellation Cliff needs.

Cliff Master, can you let me bring this to Ghost King Sect to use?

Saving and healing people is the goal of cultivation.

I understand that. But if I let you borrow it,

I'm afraid even Constellation Cliff can no longer be maintained.

It will fall into Kong San Mountain.

When that happens, then what?

I'll go discuss with the Ghost King.

He can bring everyone to a more beautiful place!

He could even give you all spiritual power!

Since he can give the necessary spiritual power,

why aren't you using your own spiritual power to resurrect Bi Yao?

Why come looking for me?

If I don't have the Spiritual Rock,

nothing can be done.

Cliff Master! Bi Yao only has seven days of life left!

Please help her! We cannot wait anymore!

What are you waiting for? They've caught up! Steal it and run!

Qing Wu Yan, don't be rash!

-How many people did you bring?-I-!

-Xiao Fan!-Xiao Fan!

Xiao Fan, you've joined with Qing Wu Yan?!

No! Let me explain!

Xiao Fan, stop being stubborn!

-No!-So much nonsense!

Zhang Xiao Fan, you robbers!

Zhang Xiao Fan!

Zhang Xiao Fan!

Cang Song, give it back!

-Make your move! Steal that object!-Yes!

Xiao Fan!

Constellation Cliff is going to collapse! Save the people first!

Who told Cang Song? Who told Cang Song?!

I said it.

Why? Why?!

-Xiao Yi Cai.-Mr. Ghost!

I had you look into the location of the Chusen Sword last time.

There were no results in the end, but you did your best.

Mr. Ghost makes distinctions between punishment and reward.

He told me to give you some antidote for the Beast God's blood.

I heard that with the Qing Yun war,

Dao Xuan and Tian Bu Yu looked upon you favorably.

They had you temporarily take over the Sect Leader's position and responsibilities.

Immortal Teacher Dao Xuan is injured and in retreat to heal.

All the important matters in Qing Yun right now are being handled by Tian Bu Yi and Zeng Shu Chang.

I just deal with some small matters.

You don't need to get nervous.

If you can become the leader one day

and lead Qing Yun, then it is very beneficial to my sect.

Just too bad that this blow to our sect

caused it to get divided again.

We won't act rashly in the near future.

Continue staying at Qing Yun and wait for your chance. Also,

you cannot interfere with Zhang Xiao Fan resurrecting Bi Yao.

Why?

No matter if he succeeds or fails, my sect will use him.

You don't need to care about this matter. Hurry and return to Qing Yun.

Yes.

[City Master's Mansion]

Shu Shu has already brought the Constellation Cliff's Cliff Master and the villagers to be settled in Yudu.

This matter is fundamentally our fault.

I didn't think we'd drag innocents into this.

It's my fault.

When I told you all,

it was because last time when I returned to Qing Yun from Yudu,

I once told my teacher Cang Song about what happened in Yudu,

and about Constellation Cliff too.

I didn't know

that Cang Song would steal the Spiritual Rock away.

Cang Song and Yu Yang Zi came to Yudu

in order to steal the Spiritual Rock. Even if you all didn't appear,

he would find Constellation Cliff sooner or later, so you do not need to mind too much.

I originally thought Xiao Fan was captured by the Ghost King.

And we even went to Hu Qi Mountain to save him! I don't know what poison the Ghost King gave him!

The demon sects injured so many of our Junior Brothers and Sisters in the war.

But he ran to Yudu to resurrect the Ghost King Sect's daughter!

Xiao Fan has always valued relationships.

Bi Yao died for him.

Xiao Fan wants to save her. What's wrong with that?

-That's why he-!-Senior Brother Xiao!

Today, everyone is tired. Let's go back to rest, and then plan.

Grandpa. I saw Qing Wu Yan again.

I just didn't think that this time, he'd be on Xiao Fan's side.

Zheng Shu Shu!

Don't come here. I'm troubled.

Even so, I still want to come over!

You brought a bunch of people back but aren't caring for them at all! You just left them to me!

What should I do with them? Say something!

They're all so noisy with bad tempers!

Have them live in the southern part of the city, and we'll talk about the rest later.

What can I do about the trouble Zhang Xiao Fan caused?

What's up with you all today?

Your faces all look off. What happened?

Don't bother with it. Go do something else.

Brother Xiao Fan is in a bad mood. Talk with him some more.

Aren't I in a bad mood too?

Why are you getting so angry?

I'm sorry. I'm just too troubled too. I'm so angry, I can't bear it.

What's up with you?

Aiya! Say it! You'll feel better if you say it.

I saw Qing Wu Yan.

Where is that brat?!

I originally wanted to kill him, but Xiao Fan stopped me.

Xiao Fan also fought me to save him.

I really don't understand why he did that. How could he mix black and white?

How did my grandpa treat him in the past?

Now, he dares to protect our enemy.

Perhaps Brother Xiao Fan was just temporarily muddled.

D-don't be angry. Aren't you two good brothers?

He's changed. His heart only has Bi Yao now.

There are no brothers. There isn't us.

Senior Brother.

Where are you going?

I have to report back to the sect now.

I have to ask Junior Master Tian to come down the mountain. Only he can deal with Zhang Xiao Fan now.

Senior Brother, Xiao Fan is just muddled from being too heartbroken.

Right now, Qing Yun already can't bear another attack. I will convince him to come back.

Jing Yu, do you think that now that we have come to this,

that pleading will still work?

Xiao Fan isn't smart and talented like you.

He can't smoothly separate the evil path with righteousness.

I know the way he is. He needs someone to remind him by his side.

I don't know why you're forcing him like this.

I know you just want to protect Qing Yun's reputation.

I just hope you can value the affection of a fellow sect member,

and give Xiao Fan a chance.

I will personally bring him back.

Okay. Jing Yu,

no matter what happened to Cang Song, you are still the Disciplinary Committee's head disciple.

I don't want to make things hard on you.

Deal with him as you wish.

Timing & subitles brought to you by Gone with the Shirt Team@Viki

Xue Qi, listen to me. When you see Zhang Xiao Fan, kill him with one blow!

Teacher! Junior Brother Zhang won't make his sect his enemy!

I know him well. He definitely won't!

Xue Qi! Stop having wishful thoughts that these are all a fluke.

Do you wish that one day,

he'll come back and destroy Qing Yun?

Did they have you come to ask about my guilt?

Actually I think, if you're clear about what you're doing,

and dare to take responsibility for the consequences,

then no one can decide if you are guilty.

I only came because I thought of something to tell you.

Before I came down the mountain, Teacher told me that Sect Leader Senior Master wasn't wrong.

She told me to say little after I saw you.

I was to kill you with one blow.

Why did you tell me these things?

Because you are my junior brother.

You saved my life before.

But I cannot give you my life right now.

When I came down the mountain to pursue you last time,

I as already not your match.

I won't attack you now either.

I remember you told me at Little Pool Village,

"People have to become strong to avoid being stuck between a rock and a hard place."

What about now? Have you thought of a way?

No.

So, there are some things,

no matter how hard you work, the end result won't change.

At the moment, whether or not you can resurrect Bi Yao,

you don't want to return to the Qing Yun Sect.

The only thing I regret, is being sorry to the Teacher and Mistress that raised me.

Tell them everything when you go back. You don't need to defend me.

That way, they can fully give up.

They won't be disappointed anymore.

Senior Brother Xiao has already returned to Qing Yun

to tell them everything about you.

Since you've made your mind, I will go back,

and hold Senior Master Tian back to give you some more time.

Thank you.

Perhaps when we meet again, we will have become enemies.

Junior Brother Zhang, I know of your love for Bi Yao.

But in the Qing Yun Sect, to you,

is there not a single person that is more important than her?

There is no who is more important than who.

The most important thing now is my promise to Bi Yao.

What you've promised...no one can change it.

Zhang Xiao Fan! We finally found you. Hand over the Mysterious Fire Mirror!

-What do you want?-Junior Sister Lu, you're still protecting him?

You never disappear.

The Mysterious Fire Mirror isn't with me to begin with.

You've already joined the Ghost King Sect, so you're on the Ghost King's side.

If I don't look on your body, who can I look for?

Li Xun! Are you done yet?

You chased from Little Pool Village to Liu Bo Mountain, and now to here!

Is framing others lots of fun?!

Li Xun, don't create trouble. Xiao Fan didn't steal the mirror!

He didn't steal it?

Now that it has come to this, you're still defending this traitor brat!

Okay. Then let me ask you.

If he has the mirror with him today, what will you say?

If the Mysterious Fire Mirror is really with me,

then come and steal it!

All of you just watch!

From now on, give it back to me when I want it.

Why?

I didn't find out.

Why were you so silly?

The evidence is all here.

Zhang Xiao Fan you claim that you are not crowing like a cock and snatching like a dog, then what are you?

What words do you have to say now?

If you want to capture me, then come at me!

Thanks.

Senior Brother! We already got the mirror back.

As for the traitor Zhang Xiao Fan,

leave him to the Qing Yun Sect.

You are all indeed fellow disciples from the same sect. See you later!

This Heaven and Earth Underworld Stone is indeed very powerful.

It's just a shame that I am injured. I cannot put out too much spiritual power.

Although the area covered by the Very Dark Bloody Formation isn't that big,

but it's enough for you to heal your injuries.

After the Spiritual Rock's power has all been absorbed, your injury will be fully healed.

It's just that this place is too close to Yudu.

I'm afraid the Qing Yun disciples and Zhang Xiao Fan,

and the Ghost King's allies will come here.

That will cause more trouble then.

You've long used the blood worms, so you've been affected by the Beast God's blood for too long.

You were also injured at the Qing Yun war this time.

And caused much injuries to your internal organs and vessels.

This place is too far from the Long Life Sect's headquarters.

If we have to forcibly rush the journey,

I'm afraid your injury will be aggravated.

You're right.

Now that things have come to this, I hope there will be no more accidents.

Don't worry about that.

The Ghost King doesn't have adequate help right now.

He also has to protect against the Ten Thousand Poison Sect's ambushes.

Did you not find out? The important matter of finding the Spiritual Rock,

neither Azure Dragon or You Ji appeared.

That means the Ghost King's injury is not light.

He needed two Sacred Envoys to help protect him during his healing.

I already sent Meng Ji to increase the men doing rounds around this area.

If there's any danger, they will notify us.

Even if Zhang Xiao Fan's group guesses that we are here,

I have a way to deal with them.

I owe you too much this time.

Don't worry. Once my injury fully heals,

I will definitely do my best to help you get back Lie Xie Sect!

That would be wonderful!

Xiao Fan?

Where have you been? Qing Yun and Tian Ying have both been looking for you! Everyone's in a panic!

Are you okay?

I still have three days.

Three days? What three days?

The final deadline to resurrect Bi Yao. There's still three days.

If I return to the Ghost King Sect, even if I don't eat, drink, or rest,

flying on my sword will take one day.

This world is so big. If I want to find Cang Song,

it is like looking for a needle in the ocean.

Ah Xiang. Teach me. What should I do?

Drink! They all say getting drunk fixes all problems.

I'll drink with you!

Xiao Fan, let me tell you. Why can't you keep your mind open?

Humans live in this world and they return to the Heaven when they die. Humans will eventually leave.

The only difference is some people die early, and some later.

Isn't what we try to cultivate upon becoming immortal is to learn to let go?

Things have already become like this. Why be so stubborn?

But I'm just a regular person.

I only hope that the girl I love can live.

Humans live in this world and they return to the Heaven when they die.

People have to suffer too much to live in this world.

There's too many things forcing you,

to make you suffer through them.

If you get one thing, then someone will want to steal it away.

If you're a little bit happy in your heart,

then someone will tell you, "don't be happy too soon!"

One day, you'll die terribly.

Very evil people are living so carefree.

Kind and righteous people die in vain.

In your entire life, if you don't do as they say,

Everyone will come destroy you, pour water over you.

and stare at you like a monster!

They will never give you a chance to take a breath at all.

My teacher once said that life has eight pains.

Birth, growing old, sickness, death,

Loving but have to be separated, grudges and hatred towards someone or something that you have to interact with, wishes or requests that can't be fulfilled,

the five sources of sufferings. A lot of them are due to human desires.

And all of the killing and fighting in this world is because there's selfish hearts.

That's why they became fights and lead to countless tragedies.

But I never wanted to hurt anyone!

I just want to pursue what I wanted! Is that wrong?

The righteous and demonic have never been together.

Sometimes, I envy you a lot.

Perhaps I should have imitated you from the beginning.

I shouldn't have gone looking for her, or let her look for me.

Perhaps if we were separated this way,

even if I can only look from afar, I'd be satisfied.

If the Heaven will pity me and give her back to me,

I would have no more requests in this life.

Actually my situation isn't as great as you say it it.

The sect didn't say it, but my father won't let me marry Ding Ling.

Ding Ling won't marry me either.

Alright, now she's the Embroidery Shop's boss!

She's just like Jing Ping'er!

The righteous and demonic sides have fought like this! We're even more impossible now.

I went to see her this morning. She closed the doors and wouldn't see me.

When? When will this world lose all hate and revenge?

When will it stop not resting until death occurs? When?

Come!

The Mysterious Fire Mirror must have been given to him by Bi Yao.

It became a jade piece to stay by his side. Perhaps it was to protect him.

I control such a big city alone.

I'm afraid every day.

Afraid that there would be fire in our sect's backyard.

Now, my brother has become like this.

Jing Yu,

where do you think Xiao Fan has gone? If he returns to the Ghost King Sect again,

he might not ever return again.

He's my only family in this world.

I don't want to lose him even more than you.

Yes. I didn't know him from childhood,

a childhood friend.

But I always treated him as my best brother.

It's just that this brother has gone on a different path from us.

We must find a way to find him first.

If we meet him again, we cannot let him leave.

Okay, I'll put aside Qing Wu Yan first.

No matter what, let's find Xiao Fan first.

Jing Yu. Cang Song stole the Spiritual Rock. Where did he run to?

Since Yu Yang Zi's injury needs the Spiritual Rock to treat it,

he probably didn't go far. He might be nearby.

How about this? I'll go look outside the city tomorrow, and you look inside the city.

If you see Xiao Fan, you must make him stay.

Okay.

Wild Dog! Don't run!

You still want to run? Who let you out?

I...I cannot say it! What do you want?

Where is Xiao Fan?

Shouldn't he be with you guys? I'm looking for him too!

Let me ask you something. If you're honest, then I'll let you go.

What does the Ghost King want Xiao Fan for? What is his plan?

The Ghost King just said he wanted to resurrect Bi Yao.

He has no other intentions!

His daughter died. It's quite pitiful.

It's hard to be a father. What plans could he have?

Forget it. Leave.

Where are you going? Are you going to look for Zhang Xiao Fan?

B-bring me with you

Bring you along? What words are those?

I'm from the Qing Yun Sect, and you're from the demonic sect.

Aren't Cang Song and you both from the Lie Xie Sect? Do you know where he is?

I don't know him!

He's together with Yu Yang Zi now.

When Zhang Xiao Fan and I went back to the rest house last time, we almost fell to Meng Ji's trap.

Rest house?
