The Legend of Chusen

Episode 39

This is the pill I asked from the temple.

Big Brother, do you feel better?

I indeed feel a little better.

This illness of mine will not get better that fast.

You shouldn't exert too much effort to especially search for medicines for me from now on.

Xiao Qi, you've also grown up.

There are still a lot of things in the village that require your help.

That's right, Big Brother. Brother Xiao Fan is also here.

He seemed to be staying at Third Sister-in-law's inn.

I already know.

Brother Liu Wei has six tails.(Liu Wei = Six Tails)

Sister San Niang has three tails.(San Niang= Three/Third Mother/Woman)

Then Xiao Qi, you are a seven-tailed fox monster?(Xiao Qi = Small Seven)

That's right. But...my tails are already gone.

No tails? Why?

I initially was a small wild fox in Huqi (Fox Ragged) Mountain.

Pity me for when I was still very small, my parents, brothers, and sisters,

one house full of 18 lives were all killed by hunters.

My tails were also cut off. I almost didn't survive.

It was Brother Liu Wei who saved me and brought me here to Xiao Chi Village.

Then based on what you said, the whole Xiao Chi Village

are made up of your Tian Hu (Heaven Fox) Clan?

That's right. Our Heaven Fox Clan used to live at Huqi Mountain.

After Huqi Mountain was attacked,

the previous clan leader brought us all to Xiao Chi Village.

There is a magical spring here and the location is very remote. We won't be discovered that easily.

But my Big Brother likes the scenery of Zhong Yuan (Great Plains).

He frequently took me there to play.

It was that time when we met Brother Xiao Fan.

Since Brother Xiao Fan previously saved you two then we are on the same side.

How about you take us out of here to look for me?

No way. I'm just a little fox with weak magic.

I can't take you guys out to play.

And also...we didn't get sister-in-law's permission.

She's very scary. She will hit me.

Don't describe her as being that scary.

Sister San Niang is a lady that you can show off in the receptrion room

and can enter the kitchen. She is beautiful and her cultivation is good.

Towards the person she loves, she puts her whole heart on him and is fully devoted.

With such a good San Niang,

why didn't you cherish her well?

It was me who wronged her.

She previously asked me to stay here at Xiao Chi Village.

But I don't want to be tied down and wants to act as I wish.

Afterwards, she asked me again not to steal the Mysterious Fire Mirror for the Ghost King Sect.

But still, I didn't listen to her advice

and acted willfully.

By the time that you realize

the ending of things in this world,

it's already too late.

As long as you hand over the Mysterious Fire Mirror,

you don't need to suffer anymore the bone gnawing pain of the Poison Bug.

Even if I die,

I will not give the Mysterious Fire Mirror to you.

Such an infatuated vixen.

If only that six-tailed lover of yours will know how to cherish you because of this,

your death can be considered to be worthwhile.

Too bad that even though you are rushed through danger for him,

risked your life to steal the Mysterious Fire Mirror to cure him,

he still doesn't have any love and affection towards you.

From beginning til end,

he was just using you.

Or else, why didn't he stay by your side

and allowed you to suffer this kind of pain?

Now that Xiao Chi Village has ended up in this state

yet he never showed himself.

I'm afraid that in his eyes, all of you are just unimportant.

He'll call on you if he needs you

and abandon you like an old and used

garbage.

The hundred years of love

between me and Brother Liu Wei

is not something that a heartless person like you can understand.

Even though we are not together in one place,

our hearts are as one.

Even if he turn his back on me,

I will never betray him.

Just give up!

Fine. Since your hearts are as one, then let's see

if a fox monster like him who has thousand years of cultivation

can sense your gnawing heart pain.

Enough!

Stop torturing her!

Bi Yao, it was your father who sent me to get the Mysterious Fire Mirror.

You might not bear to hurt them but I cannot be soft-hearted.

Or else, how are we going to explain it to Ghost King?

Lock her up again. Make sure she doesn't escape.

- I'll go interrogate Li Xun.- Yes.

Brother Zhang.

Shi Tou, are you alright?

I'm fine. Luo Ye wanted to suck all the internal cultivation pill of all the foxes in the village.

But good thing that his demonic power is not that great.

That's why they were able to temporarily survive. They were just locked up

and later absorbed by him when he gets hungry for it.

That's why we must hurry and stop him. Once he has regained his power,

there will be more living spirits that will suffer from his evil hands.

I know, Brother Zhang.

Just listen to me and escape.

Qin Wu Yan said that he will watch Ms. Bi Yao kill you personally.

Don't worry. I'll stay. I'll deal with Luo Ye.

San Niang, let me help you.

San Niang, hold on. We will definitely save you.

My clan members...

are they still doing well?

Luo Ye, that evil person is so cruel.

He has already absorbed more than ten fox monster's internal cultivation pill.

It's me...

It's me who harmed my clan.

This is also my mother's birthplace. I have a duty to protect her clan members.

Don't worry, San Niang.

Even if I lose my life today, I will kill that evil criminal!

No.

Don't be reckless.

Only by going to the inn's counter

and getting the antidote, can we save everyone.

When the poison's effect has been eliminated,

I will naturally tell you

the whole story about your mother.

You know my mother?

We shouldn't delay anymore. Shi Tou,

go and distract Luo Ye. I'll go back to get the antidote.

Senior Sister, stay here with San Niang.

Isn't it that you people from Fen Xiang Village can use fire type magic to look for the Mysterious Fire Mirror?

As long as you are willing to help, when we find the Mysterious Fire Mirror,

I can allow you to survive.

Just with a demon like you from the evil sect and you hope to get the Mysterious Fire Mirror?

That's totally wishful thinking!

You're already near your death and still so hard mouthed.

Hurry and do your magic.

Or else, I'll let you see your grandfather now!

Even if I know how to,

I will never give our sect's treasured item to you!

Since you are not willing to help,

then how about walking with me?

You think that because Zhang Xiao Fan has escaped,

you all can escape from my hands?

My Junior Brother will still come back.

I can't wait for him to come back.

What are you planning to do?

Stop. Stop!

You are indeed the No. 1 beauty of Qing Yun.

So many people are anxious about your safety.

Since Zhang Xiao Fan didn't care about your life and was bold to escape,

then don't blame me for not being polite anymore.

Let go of her!

When Zhao Xiao Fan returns, let him see

how you die from poison.

I already spared your life yet you still risked your life and came here.

You won't kill me. I know.

That's right. I indeed will not kill you.

But it doesn't mean that I won't kill your friends.

If you want the antidote, then fight me seriously.

If you defeat me, this antidote will be yours.

Actually, my friends are also your friends.

Lin Jing Yu, do you still remember him?

Who are you?

Jing Yu...?

Lin Jing Yu...?

Thank you, Bi Yao.

No need. I just don't want to take advantage of another person's perilous state.

I want to wait once you're fully recovered and fight with you again.

What for?

Stop your nonsense. Make your move.

H-how come when you raise that rotten stick,

my He Huan (happy reunion) Bell rings?

It is a sympathetic response between magical items.

What do you mean?

The golden bell ringing stops the cravings for blood.

Has always been complaining about romantic infatuation my whole life.

Do you still remember these phrases?

The golden bell ringing stops the cravings for blood.

The Blood Capturing Pearl in my stick and your Happy Reunion Bell were both

items that used to belong to old man Hei Xin (Black Heart) and his wife Jin Ling (Golden Bell).

The reason that they call out to each other is

because when we were at the Di Xue (Blood Drop) Cave,

we depended on each other to survive and went through life and death together.

A mouthful of rubbish!

Timing & subitles brought to you by Gone with the Shirt Team@Viki

Zhang Xiao Fan, we are enemies right now. You don't need to hold back.

I don't believe everything that you say right now.

I will not hurt you.

You talk too much nonsense.

Brother Zhang, have you gotten the antidote?

Zhang Xiao Fan...

Shi Tou.

My power is back.

- Luo Ye!- Don't chase anymore.

- The villagers are more important.- Let's go.

Where is my Senior Sister?

San Niang, where is my Senior Sister?

Qin Wu Yan...

Zhang Xiao Fan, your Senior Sister has already been poisoned. The poison will activate after 7 days.

Look for the Mysterious Fire Mirror in exchange for her.

Or else, you can only watch her

die from poison.

Xiao Fan, don't be threatened by him.

Even if you find the Mysterious Fire Mirror, don't give it to him.

Bi Yao, are you alright?

Let's go.

He will look for the Mysterious Fire Mirror for us.

Let's go.

Go.

San Niang, I know that the Mysterious Fire Mirror is in your hands.

Stop hiding it already.

Xiao Chi Village has already turned into this.

You were the ones who attracted them here.

Even if you kill me,

I will not tell you.

San Niang, it was clearly you who kidnapped Zhou Xiao Huan first

and stole the Mysterious Fire Mirror.

Brother Liu Wei risked his life

before he was able to bring back that item from Fen Xiang Village.

Why will I give it to you?

The Mysterious Fire Mirror is our Fen Xiang Village's most precious item.

I haven't even ran after you regarding you trespassing our Fen Xiang Village.

You really think I wouldn't dare kill you?

Sure. Come.

Kill me.

Even if you kill me, don't even think of getting the Mysterious Fire Mirror.

Don't even think of saving your friends.

Stop.

Zhang Xiao Fan, if not because you harbored the evil sect before,

intentionally defending them, this will not happen.

San Niang,

Zeng Shu Shu and Xiao Huan were kidnapped by you, right?

Yes.

I was the one who attacked Xiao Huan that time

and stole the Mysterious Fire Mirror that was in her hands.

If you kill me, it's fine.

But you must think of the consequences. At worst,

let's just all suffer.

If you want to kill anyone, kill me.

Anyway, I'm already heavily injured right now.

I won't be able to fight back.

When I helped you deal with Luo Ye before,

just treat it as me making my own misery.

San Niang, you clearly know what the current situation is.

I don't know what kind of monsters are living here in your village.

But all of them has no power to fight back.

If Luo Ye is unable to get the Mysterious Fire Mirror that Qin Wu Yan wants,

he will kill all the villagers.

Is that still okay with you?

Fine.

Even if I promise you guys now

that I'm taking you to get the Mysterious Fire Mirror,

what will happen next once you got it?

What do you plan to do with it?

I have my ways.

Will you give it to Qin Wu Yan

in exchange for Ms. Lu's antidote?

You think that after Qin Wu Yan obtain the Mysterious Fire Mirror,

he will let you go? Let my villagers go?

When you secretly hid the Mysterious Fire Mirror, haven't you thought about the consequences?

What you're going through now is called getting what you deserved.

Yes.

But you guys were also the ones who brought this disaster to Xiao Chi Village.

Zhang Xiao Fan, don't forget who the owner of the magical item is.

I know that the magical item belongs to your sect.

But right now, it involves a lot of lives.

Maybe in the future, I will return it to you.

But right now, it's not up to you to make the decision.

Fine. You're capable.

Outstanding. I'll look for it myself.

Just go look for it all you want. You can never find it.

San Niang,

what is it that you really want before agreeing to hand over the Mysterious Fire Mirror?

First,

I must ensure that

the lives of the villagers of Xiao Chi Village will be safe.

This is the first thing.

If you are able to do it, we'll then sit down and talk further.

San Niang, you are threatening me.

But it's fine.

I will definitely do my best to fulfill it.

Once I'm done, you must remember your promise.

Timing & subitles brought to you by Gone with the Shirt Team@Viki

There was a moment a while ago

that if not because Li Xun became reckless,

I wanted to make a move.

What's the point of having a moment of wrath?

Rather than being rash,

what I wish more is to be able to treat the poison that's in your body

and also find the whereabouts of Xiao Huan and Shu Shu.

I must get from San Niang

the whereabouts of the Mysterious Fire Mirror, Xiao Huan, and Shi Shu.

Just for that Brother Liu Wei, San Niang

was even willing to forego her own life.

No matter what we do, as long as Liu Wei's injuries don't get well,

she will never give us the Mysterious Fire Mirror.

She will just use us.

What you said is right. But she gave her conditions.

I will believe her this once.

Let's just give it a try for now.

If it won't work, we still have plan B.

There are still seven days.

I'd rather find Qin Wu Yan and have a vigorous battle with him

than entrust my life

to a monster.

Letting her hand over the Mysterious Fire Mirror in exchange for my life.

And also, what San Niang said is right.

Qin Wu Yan is a treacherous and cunning person.

He will never fulfill his promise.

I know that Qin Wu Yan won't.

He just wanted to find the treasure that he has been looking for.

Actually, we don't really have to find the Mysterious Fire Mirror.

Just use the magical item as a bait to make him come out

and that will do.

Anyway, no matter what, I must cure the poison within Senior Sister's body.

I will also not allow Qin Wu Yan to get what he wants.

Don't worry.

How about it? Are you satisfied with my arrangement?

Zhang Xiao Fan will worry about his Senior Sister's life

so he will definitely think of ways to find the whereabouts of the Mysterious Fire Mirror within 7 days.

You're sure that he'll find it?

That is his problem.

If he is unable to, then Lu Xue Qi can only await death.

Anyway, for us, there is also nothing lost. Isn't it?

Sometimes...

there are things that we don't really have to get ourselves.

Just wait for them to come to us.

As long as they are enemies, most of them will be humans.

As long as they are humans, they have weaknesses.

How about it? Are you satisfied with my conclusion?

If he is unable to get it,

he will then come and beg us. By that time,

there will be a good scene to watch.

Using things like this to threaten others, you think it's meaningful?

Very meaningful.

The way he uses Lu Xue Qi is like how he used you before.

This time, he really is in a difficult spot.

Why don't you guess if he will care about Lu Xue Qi's life.

You said that he used Lu Xue Qi like how he used me.

How long have they known each other? What is their relationship?

Since it's just using her, then why is he exerting too much effort?

Don't you think that the words you said are contradicting themselves?

They were both from the same sect. Don't know from which specific palaces are they proud disciples of.

Anyway, just to fawn upon their elders and to climb up the sect's rank, drawing others to one's side is just normal.

Anyway, he will not let Lu Xue Qi die.

Shameless.

Yes. That guy is indeed shameless.

What I'm saying is that you're shameless.

You're more shameless than the Zhang Xiao Fan that you were describing.

Bi Yao...

you wouldn't still have feelings for him, right?

Actually, I think that Zhang Xiao Fan is not that sincere towards Lu Xue Qi.

If you are really affected by it,

isn't it enough to just treat it as me venting anger for you?

It's not your business.

Okay. Okay. Okay. I know already.

Once we obtain the Mysterious Fire Mirror,

what harm is there if we don't give him the antidote?

Just let him watch Lu Xue Qi slowly die.

Bi Yao.

- Bi Yao! Where are you going?- Don't follow me!

Or else, I'll kill you.

I already searched inside and outside the village.

I still have no in clue on the whereabouts of Zeng Shu Shu.

The only place I didn't search is the area near Full Moon Well.

I was afraid that I'll bump into Qin Wu Yan and Luo Ye.

How about you accompany me?

No need.

A while ago, I already probed San Niang.

I feel that it's unlikely that she will

hide Zeng Shu Shu and the others inside the village.

And it will not also be near here.

The more it won't be at the Full Moon Well.

We don't have any clues at all. What do we do?

Are there any mountains or caves nearby?

Mountain caves?

I'm not familiar.

I have been searching for so long. I wasn't even able to find this Xiao Chi Village.

Then the most possible location is a hole in the desert.

Calculating based on the speed of San Niang as a fox,

this route won't be that far.

At most...going there and returning will not be more than a day.

Why?

Do you still remember when we were just new here which was also

the second day we arrived here,

San Niang seemed to have left the village. She wasn't around the whole morning.

Clearly, she must have transferred the Mysterious Fire Mirror and Xiao Huan to another location.

Right. That day, San Niang came back very late.

When we divided to investigate, it was in the morning.

That time, nothing happened to Zeng Shu Shu.

It shows that he must have been kidnapped outside the village.

And the person who came back to tell us about it

was exactly Luo Ye.

This Luo Ye must know something.

Maybe, he was watching when Zeng Shu Shu was kidnapped.

That's why we must hurry and find Luo Ye to ask him about the details.

And also, we must find the Mysterious Fire Mirror before Li Xun.

If LI Xun find the Mysterious Fire Mirror first, he will leave.

By that time, it will be harder for us to exchange for the antidote.

This Luo Ye is too cunning.

It surely will not be easy to make him appear now.

No. He definitely will come.

He surely will come.

I already thought of a plan. You go prepare first.

And then, we'll do this.

That will be enough.

Then I'll immediately go now to make preparations.

Senior Sister, I surely will cure the poison in your body.

Don't worry.

Even though I'm poisoned, I still have my martial arts skills.

You surely are already prepared before coming here this time around.

Are you here to die?

To die?

As long as we wait for seven more days, you will already die.

I'm just curious so I went here to see you.

You think Zhang Xiao Fan can find the Mysterious Fire Mirror to save you?

You still have the face to mention Zhang Xiao Fan? Before, how many times has he defended?

How many times has he saved your life? But now,

you kept being with that Qin Wu Yan who has set you up several times.

You're completely despicable.

What? Say it more clearly.

He...why did he save me?

Why do I need him to save me?

You don't remember already?

So you forgot. No wonder.

What gratitude and grievances do we have between us?

Because of him, I've forgotten everything.

I don't know what gratitude and grievances he has with you.

Whether he harmed you or not, I also am not sure about it.

But at Kong Sang Mountain, at Guan Xing (Star Gazing) Cliff,

Wan Fu (Thousand Bats) Ancient Cave, he saved you twice.

Causing him to commit a crime against Qing Yun.

This time, when he go back to Qing Yun,

he will suffer very grave punishment.

You evil sect people repay kindness with ingratitude.

Detached and heartless.

You people naturally will not give importance for small things like these.

Why? Why did I cause him trouble?

This has nothing to do with you.

Say it more clearly

and I'll give you the antidote. Qin Wu Yan must listen to me.

You think that because I only have seven days left,

I will humiliate myself and beg you?

Dream on.

Bi Yao, Senior Sister, stop!

Shu Shu said that you know how to differentiate between personal feelings and the greater good.

But until now, you're still defending her.

Senior Sister, if she dies, how will we get the antidote?

Antidote? I think that you're just looking for an excuse.

You keep on defending her.

But how about her? With her evil sect people,

they deliberately and methodologically wanted to harm you. Why?

Why must you show her mercy?

Senior Sister,

the reason she will help Qin Wu Yan this time

is because she has forgotten everything that happened in the past.

Have you forgotten that she even helped us while we were at Yudu?

That can't serve as an excuse for you to forgive her.

Moreover, behind her, is the whole Ghost King Sect.

That has nothing to do with her, right?

Although she has forgotten a lot of things right now,

she's still a kind-hearted person.

This thing will not change even if she forgets the past.

Fine. Since you believe her that much,

you're on your own.

Lord, look.

There are still a lot of monsters in this village.

Didn't you promise me that as long as I can control the whole Xiao Chi Village,

you will allow me to absorb their internal cultivation pill

to increase my cultivation?

What I said was after you've gotten the Mysterious Fire Mirror,

I will leave the village to you.

Now, have you gotten the Mysterious Fire Mirror?

Yes. But they will hand over the magical item sooner or later.

It is imminent.

Then why do you want to cause trouble now?

Prop yourself up and stop creating unnecessary troubles for me.

Yes. I'm just afraid that San Niang bitch for she is very stubborn.

By that time, if she is still unwilling to hand over the magical item,

and they get into a fight with both sides being badly injured,

then the internal cultivation pill will be gone.

How about this, Lord. Let's first go to the village

and catch some monsters.

Absorb their cultivation pill in front of them

to threaten them.

Since you like to enter Xiao Chi Village that much, I'll fulfill your wish.

Get in there now and find Bi Yao for me.

Within that time, you must not touch any monsters.

Or else, I'll kill you.

Remember Luo Ye, I can help you strengthen your cultivation.

But at the same time, I can kill you.

Just you wait. Once I've absorbed enough and became more powerful,

I'll let you see.

In here, there is no way for me to make your favorite buns.

Just these. Just put up with it and eat them.

Don't worry.

I will not be like Qin Wu Yan and put poison in your food.

You don't believe me?

I'll eat it to show you.

When I caught you,

I put a knife on your neck.

Yet now that you caught me, you even served me these delicious food.

Aren't you afraid that your poisoned Senior Sister will hate you?

Don't worry. My Senior Sister is not that kind of person.

I will definitely find the antidote and cure the poison in her body.

I won't let her die.

But you, when will the poison in your body be cured?

What do you mean?

What poison is in my body?

If you were not poisoned, why would you forget everything in the past?

My father told me that while I was at Bi Huo Tian Bing (Green Fire Heaven Ice) Lake,

you caused me to be badly injured. I then slept for a year.

When I woke up, I already can't remember anything.

Then do you believe it?

When I left Huqi Mountain, you were still well.

That was just a short one month ago.

You've already totally forgotten everything.

But I won't blame you. Because everything that you are doing now

are not your real intentions.

I kept feeling

that there was something important that happened between us.

But no matter how hard I try to recall it, I can't remember.

I initially thought that even if the two of us have different paths being from the righteous and evil sects,

each being on one side of the world and severing our communication,

at least we have wonderful memories to reminisce.

But now, even this last idea has been cut off.

Maybe this is Heaven's will.

You...I know that you treat everyone like this.

You just want to use me.

I will never believe you.

Was Qin Wu Yan the one who told you that?

How much do you know him?

He was sent by my father. His motive is the Mysterious Fire Mirror.

Do you know why your father want to have the Mysterious Fire Mirror?

That's not your business.

You father needs the Mysterious Fire Mirror because he wants to revive the Beast God.

I believe that you should know the reason behind it.

Once the Beast God is revived, a lot of people will innocently die.

I know that you wouldn't want to see these things.

Even if I obtain the Mysterious Fire Mirror,

I won't give it to Qin Wu Yan.

But there is one thing I need your help for.

You can definitely do it.

Take me to see Qin Wu Yan to get the antidote.

Go and get the Mysterious Fire Mirror as exchange.

Weren't you very resolute when you said it before?

What does your Senior Sister's life have to do with me?

Xiao Fan, I'm ready! Come take a look!

I'll be right there!

You can leave whenever you want.

If you feel like my words make sense...

In any case, think it through.
