Elder

Master Guo, you're back

What are they doing?

Master Guo, did you tell me Ouyang Feng wants a bet with you?

l thought about it all afternoon and came up with a plan

What is it?

Let's go into the tent and l'll tell you

- Alright - This way please

Elder, you're wise and intelligent lt must be a good plan

Actually, it is a very simple plan

We'll dig a deep pit in front of your tent

Then, 20 soldiers will lie low in ambush with sandbags

When Ouyang Feng arrives he will fall into the pit

But his Qinggong skills are very good

He can get out easily no matter how deep the pit is

Those 20 soldiers will throw the sandbags into the pit immediately

He won't get out so easily

That's right

Then he will be buried alive?

Even if he isn't buried alive he won't be able to use his Qinggong

lt's a good plan, Elder Lu

Wait here for more news while l go and make arrangements

Alright

lf it wasn't for her helping you through Lu Youjiao

how would you have earned the credit to become a general?

ls it really Rong-er?

What have you got to say, Ouyang Feng?

l was careless forjust a moment and fell into your trap

Master Guo are you really going to free him?

l am a man of my word

lf it wasn't for that demoness Huang Rong

you wouldn't have thought of this trick

Ouyang Feng

This is your first failed attempt l will let you go

Release him

Wait and see. l'll be back in three days

Elder Lu, did you hear what Ouyang Feng said?

Yes, he'll be back in three days

Have you got any other good plans?

Yes... l'll tell you tomorrow

Elder, is the anonymous expert here again?

Yes

Why are you so smart this time?

Elder, tell me truthfully ls this person Rong-er?

No, l've said that it's not our Leader

Alright, then take me to meet this person tomorrow

No, this person won't meet you

l must meet this person no matter what

l will search every tent until l find this person tomorrow

Master Guo

You've searched every tent

l've told you the person is gone but you won't believe me

She's so cruel not to let me see her

Master Guo

You must be tired. Go and rest

l want to be alone. Don't follow me

Master Guo

There will be northerly winds tonight and possibly snow

You should go and rest

l said l want to be alone. Don't follow me All of you, leave me alone

Rong-er

l know you still care for me

Otherwise

why do you keep helping me?

But you are too cruel

to stay away from me

Rong-er

Little beggar, why are you crying?

Nobody likes me. My father doesn't love me Even you are ignoring me

l'm not

Let's see if you dare to do it again

Don't run

Rong-er...

Rong-er...

Let's drink together

A sip for you, a sip for me

You can drink first

Rong-er...

Master Guo, you're back

Elder, you're digging a pit again?

Yes. As the saying goes

''After drove away the tiger from the front the wolf'll come from the back''

Ouyang Feng will attack from the back this time

Master Guo, we have made all the arrangements. You can rest without worry

Ouyang Feng is cunning

He fell for our trick once He won't fall for it again

Master Guo

He'll think that we are going to use a new plan

However, we are just using the same trick again

This is what we called, ''the true is false but the false is actually true''

Did the anonymous expert teach you this?

You sure can remember everything this person said very well

lf we use sand again

Old Venom would be prepared for it

We must change tactics slightly

We'll use water instead of sand

Pour water in?

Old Venom will come prepared this time

lf we use sand

it would be useless So we should use water instead

Do you think you can drown him like that?

Master Guo, don't forget that it will be very cold tonight

Water in the pit will freeze over very quickly

Master Guo, Old Venom has fallen into the trap again

Ouyang Feng, you're no match for her indeed

Elder, l promised to release him three times

- Give him some hot wine to warm himself - Alright

Drink up

Ouyang Feng, you have spent much of your internal strength

Don't move around if you don't want to die

l have one more chance

l have one more chance

Guo Jing

You keep your word

You're a good man

But, l'll be back again

After the woods in front we will reach the side of Yanjing

Let's go and take a look, Guo Jing

ln 10 days, we will attack the city

This battle is very important to us

Guo Jing, do you think we will win?

l think Jins have reached their demise

We will win this battle for sure

Guo Jing, you seem distracted lately

even while training martial arts What's going on?

There is something on my mind yet to be resolved

Why not tell me what's troubling you?

- Tuolei - Even if l can't help you solve it

you'd feel better talking about it

l know Rong-er isn't dead

- Rong-er isn't dead? - That's right

And she's in our camp as well

lf Rong-er is alive, then the promise you made in Mongolia can be realized

So you haven't been happy because you couldn't see Rong-er to clarify everything

She's so elusive

l've been searching for her but she avoids me

How do you know?

l discovered Lu Youjiao is in contact with her

Lu Youjiao?

That's easy then

l have an idea

You'll see Rong-er within three days

Really?

Master Guo, you wanted to see me urgently ls there anything l can help?

Listen, l must meet your Leader tomorrow no matter what

You can discuss this with the anonymous expert, or think of a way yourself

You must come up with a plan for me by noon tomorrow

But Leader isn't here, how can you meet her?

l'm sure the anonymous expert will help you think of a way

lf you don't come to me by noon tomorrow l'll carry out military penalty

- Guards - Yes

- Prepare 10 executioners for noon tomorrow - Yes sir

Elder Lu, you may take your leave now

Elder Lu is here

Master Guo, l've thought of a plan but it may be hard for you to follow it

Speak up

l will do anything to meet your Leader

Alright, listen

You can meet Leader at the peak of the Snowy Mountain

She can get to the peak of the Snowy Mountain? Don't lie to me

l've said that

if you can't follow the plan it would be pointless

Elder, your Leader has set a difficult task for me

She may have forgotten that

l am used to snowy mountains and cliffs from living in Mongolia

Such a small mountain is nothing to me

Alright, l will be there tonight

Rong-er

Rong-er

- Rong-er - Brother Jing

Rong-er, you're so cruel to wait till now to see me

l know l was wrong to put the blame on you that day

l deserve to be punished

l didn't blame you

Rong-er

Everything is fated. l can blame no one

Then, why...

When Ouyang Feng caught me

l was stuck with him for half a year before l could get away

Then l met Elder Lu and found out you were in Mongolia. So l came to find you

But then l heard the news

that if l'm still alive

you'll marry Princess Huazheng

And if l'm dead, you'll stay single forever

No

Rong-er, we will never be apart again

You are a man of your word

You'll definitely keep your promise

Rong-er

Actually, l...

l did think that

if l keep myself hidden you can't marry Huazheng

But then, l realised that

as long as we are happily together nothing else matters

Rong-er

Brother Jing

Were there many parts of Jiuyin manual that you didn't understand?

Yes, there were many

- l've figured them out in half a year - Really?

Rong-er, you're so smart

From tomorrow night onwards we will meet up here every night

and l'll explain the scriptures to you line by line

Why must we meet here?

Have you forgotten? Ouyang Feng is hiding in your camp

He will definitely eavesdrop on us

You're right

Rong-er, Ouyang Feng will never expect us to meet here

lndeed. Let's go down now

- l miss my Beggar Sect members - Alright

Who's that?

Who is this expert? Can you reveal yourself?

Aren't you going to greet your Leader?

Leader

- Elder Jian, how are you? - l'm fine, Leader. This way please

What is this? ls this how Mongolians treat their guests?

She's our Leader. Go away...

Leader

- Rong-er - Leader

This is Mongolian camp You can't do as you please here

l will do what l want, or l can leave

- Leader... - Rong-er

Master Guo, you know what Leader is like Please tolerate her

lf we weren't waging war against Jins l won't stay here either

Brother Jing, let's focus on

how to deal with Ouyang Feng

We can't do that, it's too risky for you

What's there to fear? He won't catch me so easily

Even if that's true l should deal with him by myself

l know l can't defeat you

But to deal with Ouyang Feng you need more than martial arts skills

- You need intellect. But you... - l know

l'm not as smart as you are

l didn't mean that

lf you get rid of Ouyang Feng you won't be distracted during war

Rong-er, you've been helping me all along l know you're really good to me

Don't be like that. They're watching us

We didn't see anything

lt would be terrible if you can't see anything

Leader, don't worry We will carry out the plan accordingly

Rong-er, Wanyan Honglie has built higher city walls

We've been attacking but can't get in

- That can be solved - Do you have an idea?

There's something about Qinggong skills in Jiuyin manual

l will have a plan if you train harder on it

But l don't understand part of the scriptures

Even if l master it l'm afraid it'd be too late

What's there to fear? lf you and l combine our powers, we can understand it for sure

That's right. You're so smart l'm sure we can do it

l'll recite it and you explain it to me

Are you going to recite it here?

Ouyang Feng may be nearby

Really?

Let's go up to the peak of Snowy Mountain

There is Yin and Yang in Qi and a balance of strength and weakness

Yin and Yang cannot combine with each other

They are against each other...

He's still there

Don't look, there is a shadow on the ground

How does it mean?

- Let me think about it - l really don't understand

How can Yin and Yang be opposites yet generate each other?

lsn't that a contradiction?

Yin and Yang are the energies of Heaven and Earth

Their usage is different

so that's why they clash

But because they are the origin of energy, they can also produce each other

lt's nothing really

lt just means they're two as one one as two

Yes, why didn't l figure out something so simple before?

- Do you get it now? - Yes

lsn't that the Lord's signal to assemble? You should go, hurry

- l... - Hurry up and go

lf l go, l'll be worried

Don't worry

He just wants to learn Jiuyin manual He won't kill me

You'll miss the chance if you don't go

Alright, l'll be back soon. Be careful!

Master Guo, how is it?

l've prepared the oil

When Rong-er comes down, we can take action

l wonder how Leader is?

Rong-er is smart. She can solve any problem

Why is Brother Jing not back yet?

lt's too cold here l should go and look for him

Why is he taking so long to come back and talk about Jiuyin manual?

Rong-er, are you alright?

- Leader, are you alright? - l'm fine. Set the fire

Guo Jing, Huang Rong, l'll kill you one day!

Rong-er, let's go

So soon? l want to stay on and watch this

Leader, Master Guo

Elder Lu, well done

We wouldn't know what to do if you hadn't blown the horn then

- l didn't - Then who did?

Just when l was about to blow the horn as planned

someone in the camp did it first

Rong-er, the Lord wants to assemble us We should go back

You're leaving?

l can't disobey the Lord

What about Ouyang Feng?

Since l've agreed to release him three times l mustn't go back on my word

How can we just let him go?

l can't break my promise

l know how we can keep your promise and kill Old Venom anyway

Rong-er, what plan have you thought of?

We'll leave him up there to freeze and starve for 10 days

When he cold, hungry and tired we'll let him come down

which is his third release

Once that's done, we won't have to be nice to him anymore

Do you think the four of us can kill a half-dead man?

For sure

But it doesn't seem honourable to kill him like that

Does he deserve honour?

Was he compassionate when he killed your five Teachers?

That's right

He deserves to die

Alright, we'll go with your plan

These two men were leaders of a thousand soldiers in our army

l didn't expect them to die in a flurry of Jin arrows

Could this...

be fate?

ls there no way to defeat the Jins?

My Lord, we don't believe in fate

We believe fate is in our own hands

l believe we will succeed in attacking the city this time

We Mongolians have always won our battles

But this time...

we didn't emerge victorious

and instead lost valuable lives

Tell me, why is this so?

My Lord, we have not done ourjob Please punish us

lt's not your fault

Not even l could do anything about it

With the ravages of time Genghis Khan has aged

My Lord, you are still healthy and strong

We just haven't come up with a good plan to break into the city yet

l'm sure we can get past the walls eventually and kill Wanyan Honglie

Do you have an idea?

l... for now...

Pass the order down Whoever can break in past those walls

will be rewarded with anything he requests for

Yes sir

How do l get past those walls?

You're not sleeping or eating

Do you think you'll come up with a plan like this?

Rong-er, l've studied the Book of Wu Mu from in and out

but l still can't come up with a plan

Don't keep blaming yourself

Am l not right?

Wanyan Honglie killed my father and l still have not avenged him

There's bound to be a way if we think carefully

ls there?

Wanyan Honglie is so near Yet, l have to sit here and think of a plan

l'm sure he'll laugh at me

Brother Jing, don't think about this for now

Ouyang Feng has been trapped on the Snowy Mountain for 10 days now

Let's get rid of him first

Maybe he has been frozen to death

Let's take a look tomorrow

lf he isn't dead, we should strike first

Leader, Old Venom is highly skilled

He may not be dead since we've only trapped him for 10 days

He'd be weakened for sure though

l'm sure we can kill him with our combined powers

Leader, look

Ouyang Feng?

He must want to kill himself because he can't stand it anymore

He's escaped

He's injured and can't go far He must be nearby

Ouyang Feng, show yourself!

Ouyang Feng, show yourself!

Guo Jing, you broke your promise You're supposed to let me go

Brother Jing, ignore him

- Brother Jing - Why hold me back?

Even if l don't you don't know where he's gone

What a pity lt was a good chance to kill him

Brother Jing, it's alright that Old Venom got away

l have a gift for you

Rong-er, don't comfort me

l'm not

You wish to break through the Jin wall, right?

l have a plan

Do you really, Rong-er?

Actually, l didn't think of it myself Ouyang Feng taught me

Ouyang Feng?

l didn't expect Old Venom could help us indirectly

Don't be too happy now

My plan may or may not work

lt would be dangerous even if you could fly past the wall

Leader, the kite is ready lt can be used anytime

Rong-er, go and tell the Lord that if nothing happens after 6 hours

retreat immediately and don't wait for me

l'm coming with you

No, it's too dangerous

Prepare for flight

Brother Jing, we've survived every danger in the world

There's nothing left to fear

This time, it's different

l may not even get past the wall

or l may get shot by arrows in the air

Even if l get in, l have to fight thousand of soldiers

Didn't you say that this plan may not work?

That's why l must go with you

Rong-er

l'm coming along unless you're going to make me unconscious

That won't do

Let me go with you then

The kite cannot carry two people

How can l watch you take the risk by yourself?

l can't

How can you go without a weapon?

l have Soft Hedgehog Vest and Dog-beating Stick

Where's your Dog-beating Stick?

l'll go and get it. Wait for me here

Prepare for take off now

Master Guo...

- Leader... - Take off now

Brother Jing, you lied to me

- Go away - Alright

- Brother Jing, you must be careful - Rong-er, go and tell the Lord immediately

ls there really no way to attack?

lf that is so, we will retreat tomorrow

- My Lord - What is it?

There's a young lady outside who claims to be the Leader of Beggar Sect

as well as two Elders. They wish to see you

- Send them in - Yes sir

ls Jing in trouble?

Huang Rong?

l'm not here to make trouble for you

l've something to tell you

Brother Jing is in the city

- How is it? - My Lord, there is no movement

Brother Jing

Are you sure there is nothing going on?

Nothing's moving behind the wall

But we did see some dust flying around

and some sounds of fighting

Brother Jing

- Pass the command to attack immediately - Yes sir...

- Brother Jing... - Rong-er
