We can hide in there. Destroy this rock

Let's go in

Where's my mother?

Heng...

Father

This bird has kept you company for so long

lt will keep you company forever now

And l...

l will be with you forever

Rong-er, your father seemed to have gone crazy just now

l don't understand either

Maybe because the bird died

lt's my fault

Do you think we can find a bird exactly the same?

Feelings of uncontrollable desolation For loved ones passed on

There is no way to reach the Heavens And no one to pour my sorrow to

- Father - Why are you here?

Father, l'm here to ask for forgiveness

l came into the secret room to escape from Ouyang Feng

l didn't mean to cause the death of your pet

This is the will of Heaven

and there is no need to discuss it anymore

Rong-er and l have caught this bird

to replace the one you had

What's lost can never come back

There is no replacement

lt knows many words

Say something, birdie...

Master, l'm Heng...

Heng?

Why don't you smile?

lt speaks very well

Rong-er speaks very well indeed

and is understanding too

Come in, Rong-er

Father, don't be mad at us

How can l?

Don't say that, father

Rong-er

You're engaged to Jing now

and will leave me very soon

l will stay and keep you company

That won't do

l can't expect you to stay on the island forever

Jing

You must take good care of Rong-er

Yes, father. Don't worry

ln this world, you are the only one who can make my daughter happy

But you'll have to tolerate her temper everyday

Father, you're taking his side already

Rong-er

You're all grown up and don't need me anymore

l just want to spend the rest of my life peacefully with your mother

Father

You can go now

Father, then when can l meet mother?

You will meet her when you need to

Father

Heng, Rong-er has found her happiness

You can rest assured now

And it is time to leave this island

The boat is ready

Heng

Believe me, l won't leave you

l will never leave you

Take this... and this...

- What are you doing, Old lmp? - Come and catch me...

- l'm not free to play with you - No? Then, take this...

l'd rather be sleeping than playing with you

Are you blind? You bumped into me

Apologise immediately!

He can't speak how is he going to say sorry?

What are those flowers for?

How should l know?

Qigong

Rong-er

- Big Brother - lt's for you

Thank you

You're going to marry Jing and should not be running around like this

lgnore him, as my sister-in-law

you must carry on running around or else l won't let Jing marry you

l haven't seen you father all day

He's keeping mother company

l see

He knows he is going to die so he's seeing his wife one last time

Nonsense!

Stop that, Old lmp

Big Brother, don't say that

l meant it. The servant is picking so many peach blossoms for burial, isn't it?

Old Heretic is dead. That's great...

The Old lmp is such a crazy nutter

Don't worry, Rong-er

- He's talking nonsense - That's right

Did father ask you to pick peach blossoms?

What for?

What did she say, Rong-er?

She said father wants the peach blossoms but she doesn't know why

There's a large boat over there

lt's decorated with lots of lights and peach blossoms. Let's go and take a look

lt's really pretty. Let's go over

Rong-er, is this your father's boat?

Yes, it's been built for many years but never been used

ls father travelling?

l think it's built for me Old Heretic is really a good friend

Rong-er

Rong-er has found her true love

l've fulfilled my duties as a father

l will now keep my promise to you

We will return to the sea together You must be really happy, right?

Father

Father

Old Heretic why do you waste so many flowers?

You shouldn't be stepping on all those flowers. lt's a mess

You're carrying a woman as well? How disrespectful to your wife!

Even if you treat your wife as dead you can't ignore me like this

Don't disturb him, Old lmp

lt's really your wife Where are you taking her?

Old Heretic

Brother Qi, please take care of Rong-er for me

Are you really travelling, Old Heretic?

She's dead...

- Old Heretic, is your wife... - Please stay out of my family matters

You're going to die?

Since you're about to die l'll tell you a secret

Do you know how Guo Jing memorised the Jiuyin Manual?

Heng helped him, from the Heavens above

That's really funny

What are you saying, Old lmp?

l mustn't let him die believing such foolish things

Let me tell you

The Jiuyin Manual was already on Guo Jing

He not only knows it by heart

he can even recite it backward

Rubbish!

There are only two Jiuyin Manuals in the world

Mei Chaofeng lost one

and l have the other

You're so silly

Guo Jing has stolen the one that Mei Chaofeng carried

Stop talking

l've promised Heng

to kill anyone who knows the Jiuyin Manual

Don't lie to me

lf you don't believe me you can do a body search on Guo Jing

Old lmp, a life is at stake Stop talking rubbish

l must say it. lf he wants to kill Guo Jing he has to get past me

Where did father take mother?

Guo Jing

Father

Do you have the second volume of Jiuyin Manual?

Jiuyin Manual? No, l don't

Yes, you do. That piece of human skin is the one

This?

Father, you've destroyed it

lt belonged to Senior Mei Chaofeng

How dare you lie to me

- Father - Get lost

Old Heretic, how can you trust Old lmp?

- l'll kill him - Listen to me, father

What happened, father?

He lied to me He's not fit to be my son-in-law

He knew Jiuyin Manual a long time ago

l really don't know. He didn't tell me that it was Jiuyin Manual

Don't deny it

Old Heretic, don't bully the young

Stay out of this, Zhou Botong

l can't. l can beat you without using my hands

- Use your hands - No way

- l won't be gentle even if you don't - Bring it on

Brother Jing

- Old lmp... - Big Brother

lt's my fault

l taught you Jiuyin Manual

and perfected it myself too

Old Heretic, if l hadn't promised my Big Brother

not to use any skills written in Jiuyin Manual

l'll defeat you for sure

Father, he speaks the truth

Brother Jing doesn't know anything

Heng, what should l do?

l can't seem to kill anyone

who knows Jiuyin Manual

This is all because of this silly manual

Since you've destroyed the second volume let's destroy the first volume too

Are you happy now, Old Heretic?

Get lost

Peach Blossom lsland does not welcome any guests

Fine, there's nothing great about Peach Blossom lsland

Brother Zhou, father...

You must leave too. l hate you the most

- Father - Shut up and get lost

Come on, he doesn't treat you as son-in-law anymore. Let's go and find someone else

Old Heretic, can you lend us that boat outside?

That boat is not auspicious

Find your own

That boat looks fine to me

Don't be so petty

Let me tell you the truth

Anyone on that boat will be in grave danger

lf you want to insist, then be my guest

Old Beggar, would you dare to take that boat?

Me?

l always do things that people told me not to do

Why will l not take it?

Old Beggar, l knew l wasn't wrong about you

Father, l'm going too

No

Father

Rong-er

Silly boy, let it be

Give him some time to simmer down

and we'll come back again Let's go

- Let's go... - Go

Please let me go, father

Father, please

Let me go, father

l must look for Brother Jing

Father, you have no rights to treat me like this

You're not fit to be my father

Mother, father is bullying me

Mother...

Heng

Brother Jing, Jing...

Rong-er, you've managed to clear the acupuncture points l've blocked

Why didn't you leave?

l'm here to say goodbye since you're still my father

Please take care, father

l'm going to find Brother Jing

Rong-er

Didn't you say you wished to see your mother?

Father

Father, you...

See how lovely locks in bright mirrors in high chambers

Though silken black at morning have changed to snow by night

Do you really wish to see your mother?

Father

You're my mother

Heng, this is our daughter

l wish you could...

have met her

Father, what happened?

lt's Jiuyin Manual

Jiuyin Manual caused the death of your mother

How did it happen? Why?

lt has come to this

l guess l should tell you everything

Jiuyin Manual is an extraordinary book

Everyone in the pugilistic world wanted to have it

There was one year

when Hong Qigong, Ouyang Feng and l organised

a duel

And the manual was to go to the one with the best skills

After a fierce battle

Wang Chongyang won

and so, the manual was his

Many years later

l had just married your mother

- Teacher, Madam - Yes?

Taoist Zhou Botong wishes to see you

Brother Botong, it's been sometime since the duel at Huashan

How is your brother, Master Chongyang?

Old Heretic, are you blind?

Can't you see l'm in mourning attire?

Master Chongyang, he...

My brother... has passed away

What happened?

lt's a long story

Have a seat, Botong

Botong, of everyone in Quanzhen Sect

you are the most talented

But you are playful

and do not have the virtue of righteousness

lf you're willing to change

it would be Quanzhen Sect's good fortune

Brother, l know l won't make a good Taoist

unlike your other disciples like Qiu Chuji and Ma Yu

They're very good

But their martial arts skills

are a far cry from yours

How l can trust them with an important mission?

What is it? ls it very important?

To be honest

l am near the end of my life

Death is upon me very soon

Brother

Calm down

Death comes to everyone

And that includes me

But...

l have tied up all loose ends regarding Quanzhen Sect

except for one matter

What is it?

This is Jiuyin Manual

lt contains skills of unsurpassable power

lt must not fall into evil hands

or terrible things will happen

Brother, why don't you burn it then?

l've thought about it

But l cannot bring myself to destroy the hard work and efforts

of its creators

There are two sides to everything

lf the future generation can use the manual to do good

it would be the good fortune of the pugilistic world

Botong, after l am gone

you must guard this manual for me carefully

And you must never let anyone from our Sect

learn the skills in the manual

or outsiders will say l'm biased

l understand

Brother

Brother...

Handover the Jiuyin Manual

Otherwise l will kill everyone in Quanzhen Sect

The Yi Yang Finger

- Stop! - Botong, stop chasing

Brother, that was great

You knew Ouyang Feng would come and feigned death

Even l believed it

l have used all my energy

l am really going to die this time

Botong

Brother

You must hide the two volumes of Jiuyin Manual

in two different places

They must never fall into the hands of the evil

- Brother - Teacher

lt's such a pity for Wang Chongyang to pass away

You should be happy

There's one less martial artist now

l'm here to inform you that

before my brother died he told me to keep the Jiuyin Manuals well

so don't you try to find them

Brother Botong, how can you say that?

At the duel of Huashan Wang Chongyang was the winner

l will respect that

That's easy for you to say

Once my brother died, Ouyang Feng tried to snatch it right away

Luckily he got hit by Yi Yang Finger Even if he survived it, he'd be suffering

l will never stoop to acts of thievery

You've said it

l will go and hide the manuals now

Don't peek!

You speaks like a child even though you are quite senior in age

How interesting!

Who are you?

She's my wife

How can someone like you marry such a pretty wife?

You're too kind

That manual you spoke of before has stirred so much unrest in the world

Can l have a look at it?

No, l have instructions from my brother

never to let anyone see its contents

No...

Just one look...

No matter how Zhou Botong insisted

your mother wanted to see it regardless

ln order to get hold of the manual

l had to try to trick him and asked him to play a game

We'll throw these stones into that hole there

The one with the most, wins

Do you understand the rules?

l'm an expert at this. Let's begin!

You're going to lose this time

l won the game in the end

He was forced to let your mother have a look at the second volume of the manual

This isn't right

Brother Zhou, l believe this manual has been switched by West Venom

This is not Jiuyin Manual

You haven't seen it before How would you know?

l've not seen Jiuyin Manual before

but l'm familiar with such literature

This is just a common book on fortune-telling

Even a little boy from anywhere in Jiangnan would be able to recite this book

You're lying

lf you don't believe me pick a passage from any page

and l'll recite it

And no matter which passage he picked

Heng could recite it word for word

There is no one in the world who can

memorise a whole book in two hours

Zhou Botong had to believe that the manual was a fake

ln a fit of anger

he destroyed the second volume of Jiuyin Manual

You'll pay for this, Ouyang Feng

lt's been hard on you

Photographic memory is my expertise

Memorizing a book for you is worth every effort

How did mother die?

After reproducing the manual for me

she had wanted to focus on getting ready for your birth

But Mei Chaofeng and Chen Xuanfeng those two disloyal ingrates...

You're all thieves

Teacher, we're sorry

But what is it that Brother and Sister Mei stole?

Please tell me and l'll get it back for you

Can you defeat them?

- Brother Yao, don't do that - Teacher...

They didn't steal the manual and you've already broken their legs

They're ingrates

l don't want to see you ever again

Leave the island now

Teacher, please forgive us...

Please forgive us, teacher

Heng, l know it's hard on you

but l really wish to have that manual

Think harder

Think again

Heng

Heng, are you alright?

lt hurts

Are you about to give birth?

Servants!

lt hurts

lf l had given up on the manual

Your mother would be alive

The manual didn't kill your mother, l did

How do you feel?

Brother Yao, is it a boy or a girl?

lt's a girl

Heng, give her a name

Heng...

When Zhou Botong found out he was tricked

he came to look for me with the first volume of the manual

l've tried to make him leave

But he hid from me and fought me for 15 years

Jiuyin Manual has harmed so many people

l never thought l'd see the day it is destroyed

Heng, you can rest in peace now

Father, l understand now why you hate

everyone who knows Jiuyin Manual

Why didn't you tell me that mother is dead?

After she died

l build this cold room to preserve her body

l've tried all the miracle cures in the world to bring her back to life

l didn't want you not to have a mother from the time you were born

Father, do you know that l'm in more pain than a mother-less child?

l've always thought she was alive

You understand everything now

You may leave

Father, l want to stay here with you

l have Heng to keep me company

Father, mother is dead

She can never come back

Let's give her a proper burial

l have built a boat for us

to sail to the netherworld together

But now, the desire to die with you will not be fulfilled

because the boat has been taken by the people who know Jiuyin Manual

But don't worry, they won't get far

The boat has a bottom that held together by glue

Once in the sea, the boat will fall apart

They will all drown to their deaths

And you can then rest in peace

Then... Brother Jing...

l'm so bored...

You'll be fine when we reach the shore

How much longer?

Can't you see?

We're in the middle of the sea

Go in and be bored some more

Qigong, Brother Zhou

The boat is leaking!
