[Oh! My Sweet Liar!]

[Episode 5]

[Xiaofeng Courtyard]

Get up!

You're chirping early in the morning.

Why do you noble family get up so early?

Get up!

Get up!

It's better to live in my own house.

I can sleep as late as I want to.

Mom.

Ning Xin.

I miss you so much.

Get up!

You again?

Young master.

Why are you back so soon?

You're sleeping during the day.

You seem carefree.

Get me some tea!

Why is it so hot?

I'm blowing on it, but you grab it and drink.

Even if something is bothering you,

you can't take it out on me.

You better behave.

Don't play tricks to upset me.

Young master, did you get scolded...

when you went to visit duke just now?

None of your business!

He really got scolded.

No one has more experience than me with being scolded.

Shall I tell it to you?

Maybe I can help you out.

You don't know that.

Well, speaking of annoying things,

either you did something people think you shouldn't do,

or you were forced to do what you didn't want to.

I'm always experienced in that.

Luckily, I have a lot of sisters.

To avoid being scolded by my mom,

I let them do what I didn't want to do

or something that's easy to screw up,

which made me easier.

You framed them.

Gentlemen won't do that.

Anyway, I'm just a little girl. I have nothing to fear.

Besides, none of my sisters are better.

They put shitty stuff on me as well.

Even if I'm being loyal to them,

they'll only embarrass and humble me.

Young master.

The tea is cold.

You can draw, right?

Sort of.

What's up?

Draw a portrait of a pretty woman?

- Which one do you want? - I don't care which one you draw.

Just try your best.

Young master, what for a portrait of a pretty woman?

Just do what I tell you to do. Don't ask.

But I don't know what beauty you want.

How can I draw it just by using my imagination?

Fine, I'll draw it right now.

Young master, what do you think of it?

Not bad.

Deliver it to Miss Song's place.

And say it's second young master,

Li Hongyu's gift for Miss Song.

Why would you say it's from second young master?

I didn't expect such a stupid blockhead would learn dirty tricks quickly.

He must be up to something to get master into trouble.

I shouldn't have offered guidance to him.

Hi.

Excuse me, may I ask where Tingxue Hall is?

Straight ahead and turn left when you see the gazebo.

Pass Qifeng Pavilion and turn right.

Just a short walk and you'll be there.

Pardon... me.

Straight ahead and turn left when you see the gazebo.

Pass Qifeng Pavilion and turn right.

Just a short walk and you'll be there.

Thank you.

Well, no one can remember it.

Xiruo.

Master.

Why did you make your face pockmarked again?

It's horrifying.

What do you deliver?

I... de... deliver a painting.

Deliver a painting?

Master, where's Tingxue Hall?

Master.

Don't you think you're going a little too far?

Deliver it

and tell Family Song what young master wanted you to say.

Well, you're not asking me to get a painting there, but my life.

Happy Fairy.

Hongyu.

Look, Nanny Fang.

Is he the servant that Hongbin saved at the feast that day?

Yes. It's him.

But she's not a servant, but a girl.

What?

If I couldn't tell it's a woman disguised as a man at my age,

I have lived so many years in vain.

I know you came to Li's Manor to do something bad.

Now it looks like you're getting yourself into trouble.

You're controlled by my big brother.

I don't think you want to stay here anymore.

How about I help you get out of here?

I'll give you the previous 2000 taels.

And another 2000 taels.

What do you think?

If I have 4000 taels,

I can run away with my mom and sisters

and get far away from Ashuang.

I can't believe Hongbin had her disguised as a servant and kept her by his side.

Besides, he's got such care for her.

How can such a disreputable woman serve Hongbin?

It's common for a girl like her

who want to be a social climber among sons of royal families.

She serves young master and hits on second young master.

Miss, you'll be young master's wife in the future.

If such a woman gets in young master's room,

the rest of your life would be awful.

What do you think?

It's great.

Meet me at 1 a.m. in the usual place.

Be there or be square.

Okay.

Go.

Come on.

Wait a moment.

Hurry up.

Nanny, stay on her.

Miss, don't worry.

[Tingxue Hall]

You humiliate me like that.

Get out!

How is it going?

Run!

Go!

Get out!

Young master, I've figured out Xiong Xiruo's identity.

Say.

She's surely Happy Fairy.

She came from Yunyao Art Pavilion.

But she's not a dancing girl.

She often hung around in all the teahouses and taverns.

She painted rumors and grapevines she heard everywhere into albums.

She did it for a living.

So, she has nothing to do with Petaled Lotus.

But I don't know why she sneaked into Li's Manor.

Don't worry, young master. I'll keep digging.

No need.

Don't talk to me about going back to the army,

until you caught Happy Fairy and settled down the disturbance.

Young master.

Yeah.

She has no martial arts.

And there's no mark of Petaled Lotus on her.

Drawing is all she's got.

I suppose she's...

just a common girl who sells paintings for a living.

Young master, are you sure of not keep digging?

I told you it's not necessary.

Put your thoughts into Petaled Lotus.

Yes.

I'm leaving.

- Young master. - Why are you in a panic?

What happened?

Young master, Duke and Madam asked you to go to Jianzhang Hall at once.

Father and mother, my greetings.

Sit.

Bin.

I'm afraid you should go to Family Song in person.

Family Song?

What's wrong with Family Song?

It's about what your brother did.

Look what he gave to Miss Song.

Ninth master of Family Song came and asked us to explain it to Miss Song.

He said Miss Song valued you

and wanted you to comfort her so that it would be settled.

Bin.

We already scolded your brother.

He's responsible for settling what he did.

But Family Song said only you could handle it.

Your father and I can do nothing about it.

Please take on it for your brother.

Maybe you could send some rare stuff to Miss Song.

And apologize to her for us.

Then they'll get over it.

I know.

I'll take care of it.

Don't worry about that, father and mother.

Good boy.

Li Hongyu, you should learn from your elder brother.

Why are you still on your knees?

Go to take the flogging punishment.

Yes, father and mother.

I'm leaving.

What's this?

You know, you deserve it.

Why did you get my painting?

The God is always watching.

I happened to get it.

Did my servant give it to you?

Yeah. She had to do what I told her.

Li Hongyu, you're a scoundrel.

Well, speaking of this,

if you hadn't played dirty tricks of sending a painting in my name,

I'd have no opportunity to show my talent.

You're not better than me.

Given the situation now, you shouldn't argue with me.

And think about how to handle Miss Song.

I won't do what you want.

I have my own way to deal with Family Song.

You should worry about the flogging for you.

Second young master, I'm just following orders.

Please.

Meet me at 1 a.m. in the usual place.

Be there or be square.

I can get out of here and restore the dignity of my family today.

Mom.

Ning Xin.

I'm back.

Young master, why would you get here?

I couldn't find you.

So I had to come here.

Oh.

Young master, is there anything you need me to do?

Li Hongyu changed the painting. Were you involved with that?

Young master, what are you talking about?

I don't understand.

Drop the act.

I'm usually indifferent to you and bossing you around.

I'm afraid you had objections to me.

So you were seeking revenge for me.

How could it be possible?

Young master, I admire and respect you.

It's a great blessing for me to serve you.

How would I have objections to you and take revenge on you?

Besides,

people thoughout Li's Manor know

young master is courageous,

noble, decent,

and well known in Yunyao.

Shut up!

I don't want to hear these flattering words.

But they really...

One word...

and you'll be flogged to death.

Oh, no.

I'm about to flee away.

My plan is not gonna be aborted at this point?

No.

I should do what I do best.

Young master, what did I do wrong

to get you so mad?

Young master, I admire you.

I wanted to see you.

So I painted your portrait and took it as a memoir.

I didn't expect you treated me like that.

I was flogged or grounded all the time.

Young master, if you hate me so much,

why not kick me out of Li's Manor?

Leave me to rot.

To save you from annoyance.

You... you... get up.

Stop crying!

All right, I'm not mad anymore.

Defend yourself if you didn't do anything wrong.

Why are you crying?

I'm pathetic.

I felt aggrieved.

Fine, I don't blame you, okay?

It's okay. Don't cry.

Stop crying.

Close the door.

I'm surprised he comforted me.

Turns out, it's so easy to deal with this devil.

Young master, I got everything you asked for.

Are they all the best?

From jewels to accessories, they're all of the finest quality.

Such precious pieces are rare in the capital.

Send this letter and the gifts to Miss Song.

Tell her I have urgent business and I can't apologize to her personally.

And hope she'd excuse second young master.

I see.

It hurts.

That's too hard.

Ouch! Be gentle.

Second young master, just hang in there.

Any news from Tingxue Hall?

Did young master go there?

No.

I just heard Miss Song cry in Tingxue Hall all afternoon.

You're avoiding her.

Since you didn't go to her, I'll let her get to you.

- Fetch my brush and ink. - Yes.

What my brother, Hongyu did today really damages our family's precepts.

As his elder brother, it's my fault.

I hereby apologize to Miss Song.

Is that all it is?

That's far too perfunctory.

I'm not that easy to deal with.

- Get ninth master up here. - Yes.

Miss, young master had these sent to you.

They said it's carp rich cake of Zuixian Restaurant in Yunyao.

I found this in it.

I'll meet you at the yard of Xiaofeng Courtyard at 7:45 p.m.

From Li Hongbin.

I knew that.

No one dares patronize me.

Turns out, the young master is scrupulous.

Thank God the ladder is still here.

I can finally get out of this place.

Young master.

You're a maidservant of Family Song.

Why are you here?

My miss told me to come here.

She said she couldn't leave her place at night.

So she asked me to meet you for her.

- Meet me? - Yeah.

I guess your miss got it wrong.

I didn't make an appointment with her.

Young master, are you mad because my miss couldn't meet you in person?

My miss asked me to give you this jade pendant.

She's been wearing it since she's a kid.

I told you I didn't have an appointment with your miss.

Why would she send me this thing?

No, you sent a letter to my... my miss.

You asked her to meet you over here at 7:45 p.m. in the letter.

I brought it.

Li Hongyu.

What are you playing at?

Do you accept this jade pendant?

Pardon me, miss.

I'll convey your regards to my miss.

- Miss, you're back. - Yeah.

Did... did young master break it?

What do you think, I split it by myself?

Break the jade pendant and you both take half it.

In our hometown, it means a pledge of love.

Never thought young master even asked about the traditions of our hometown.

It's great of him to be so considerate.

Maybe young master looks very cold,

he's straightforward.

Congratulations, miss.

What's wrong with my master?

Why hasn't he shown up yet?

Master.

It's you, young... young master.

Wanna run again?

Run?

Run.

It's too cold here.

I'm gonna run to keep me warm.

Come back.

Young master.

You also want to run with me, right?

You.

You're looking out for them?

Turns out you're not on their side.

How could I be on their side?

I don't know who they are.

Are you okay?

The knife is poisoned.

Ah!

Stay back!

I'm not afraid of you.

Stay there!

I'm here.

Who are you?

Young master.

Young master.

Don't mind me.

He's of Petaled Lotus. After him!

But you're...

- Go! - Yes.

Stop!

Guards!

Help!

He's awake.

He's up.

Don't make a fuss.

Young master got treatment in time. Nothing to worry about.

He'd be recovered after several days.

But he's so weak now.

He needs someone to take care of him.

I got it.

Dr. Ye, thank you for coming here late at night.

Mr. Mao, you're welcome.

Remember to put this on that wound every day.

As for the prescription,

may I ask where the brush and ink are?

Dr. Ye, please follow me to the study.

Please.

Miss Xiong, I must bother you to look after young master.

Please.

Why is Ye Zhihan so careless?

He dressed the wound awfully.

Ah!

♫ The love ripples in my heart. ♫

♫ What a beautiful encounter it is. ♫

♫ It's like in the dream. ♫

♫ Who is willing to be roused? ♫

I didn't do anything bad to you.

I saw that wound was wrapped awfully.

So I redressed it.

I know.

Thank you.

Let me...

♫ My happiness and love ♫

♫ I can't get away as I come closer. ♫

I'm sorry.

Does the poison sour his mind?

Why is he totally different suddenly?

He blacked out again.

Why is Amao taking so long?

I have to find my master.

We were gonna leave together, but he didn't show up.

Is there anything wrong with him?

No. I have to go check on him.

Don't go.

Don't run away anymore.

Young master, here's the ginseng soup you want.

Drink while it's hot.

- Put it over there. - Okay.

Young master, how's your wound?

Much better.

Nothing to worry about.

Petaled Lotus is detestable.

He's picked up when I run after him last night.

Keep digging.

- And strengthen the security in our manor. - Yes.

Young master.

Those assassins also attacked Miss Xiong last night.

That puts her in the clear.

Yeah.

I think Miss Xiong just likes playing tricks.

She's not bad, but kind.

She doesn't seem like a bad person.

You talk a lot today.

I'm happy for you, young master.

What are you happy about?

Well, thank you.

Go to get some rest.

Get Xiruo...

Xiong Xiruo here to serve me.

Yes.

Ah.

I thought I could go back to see mom and Ning Xin today.

But I'm still here.

Come here.

Young master, it's not hot. You can drink.

It's for you.

- Me? - Yeah.

No.

Young master, I don't drink it.

I...

Young master, I have a baby in my belly.

I'm begging you for the antidote.

Don't worry. It's not poisoned.

How? Is it good?

Not bad. However,

it's not as good as my mom's fish head soup.

- Fish head soup? - Yeah.

Young master, I'm done with it.

Thank you for your soup.

I'm gonna wash the bowl.

Keep this miscarriage prevention amulet with you.

Miscarriage prevention amulet?

I treated you badly a while ago.

From now on, don't do the labor work.

You need to get some rest.

Young master, Miss Ruer is coming.

She said she came to visit you.

Tell her I'm not well today. Maybe another time.

I see.

Miss Ruer, our young master doesn't feel good today.

Let me in!

Hongbin.

Miss Ruer.

Hongbin.

Stop her!

Block her!

I'm coming to see you.

- Our young master is not well. - Hey, miss.

Our young master doesn't feel good today.

He's been in bed.

Maybe you can visit him another time.

Where does such a rude servant come from?

You're clumsy.

I don't think you deserve to serve in young master's room.

Now that Hongbin is sick, I can't let you bother him.

Leave and wait.

I'll look after Hongbin.

Hey, miss.

Sure, I'm clumsy.

I've not seen a lot and I don't know the rules.

But at least I know it's improper for a man and a woman to touch each other.

I don't know which family you are from.

But you wanna break into our young master's bedroom, uninvited.

You even brought food and drink.

People who don't know would think you want to get our young master drunk

and do something bad to him.

It's my first time to see such a young lady like you

who don't care gossip about you.

You!

How dare you!

Our miss is from a royal family.

She grew up with young master.

You're being so blind.

How dare you insult our miss?

If young master knows what you are doing, you'd be flogged to death.

- Nanny Fang, slap her. - Yes.

Hey, stay there.

I got fists on me like sandbags.

Stay back!

Stop it right now!

Hongbin.

It's my fault. I woke you up.

You can't hit my man in Xiaofeng Courtyard

without my authorization.

Forgive me, young master, it's my fault.

I'm being reckless.

I heard you were sick.

I care about you too much to handle it well.

Give us a moment.

Okay.

Hongbin.

I never drink.

Don't you know?

I forgot it for the moment.

Nanny, why didn't you remind me?

Get it out of here.

No need.

You can leave if there's nothing else.

I'm tired today, excuse me.

Hongbin, I heard of something.

I'm wondering if I could just tell you.

What's it?

I'm embarrassed to say that.

Nanny, I'm gonna let you do this.

Young master, it's about the servant who served you just now.

What's it about?
