[Oh! My Sweet Liar!]

[Episode 4]

He recognized me.

What can I do? What can I do?

Young Master, are you thinking about the other night?

Cut that nonsense!

I can't believe this is what you bring back, you idler!

Did you draw this?

You know I can never draw so well.

Then where did you get it?

I just found it.

Nonsense!

No way will there be such a thing in our manor.

I...

You want it back?

If you like it,

then I'll just...

give it to you as a gift.

Li Hongyu...

Big Brother?

What happened?

This indecorous painting.

Do you know about it?

What?

Can't you see the signature?

It's me, Li Hongyu, who drew this painting.

You!

I always let you off when you stir up trouble outside.

But how can you bring your filthy habits back into our manor?

Big Brother, you sound just like our mother.

You're hopeless.

Thank you, Master!

Young Master,

now the whole truth has come out.

Why do you still look so furious?

I don't care about Li Hongyu being a brat.

But now you're pregnant with my baby.

How can you see that kind of painting?

Don't you know that it'd be bad for our kid...

Bad, right?

I was just really bored.

And it was just a whim.

- You! - Alright, alright.

Young Master, calm down.

I'm sorry.

I'm really sorry.

I won't make the same mistake again.

You go copy that... that book

a thousand times!

Reflect and cultivate yourself.

A thousand times?

I just hid a painting.

Why are you being so cruel?

After I finish copying that book,

my hair will turn white

and our baby will be running in the yards.

Don't be glib.

You're grounded.

Without my permission,

you're not leaving Xiaofeng Courtyard.

You're grounding me again?

You can copy that book! I'm not copying it anyway!

Stop!

Happy...

Cousin.

Ruer,

why are you here?

Last night Aunt sent me a message.

She said it'd been a long time since we last met.

She wanted me to stay here for a while.

Then I thought,

I haven't seen you for quite a long time.

And I miss you so much.

So I came to visit you first the instant I arrived here.

I'm not the one who misses you.

You should visit my mother first.

Are you angry at me because I've disturbed you

while you were handling household affairs?

Cousin,

look at these servants in the yards.

They've always been performing their duties without complaint.

I feel really bad,

seeing that they're punished.

Come on.

Let's go to Jianzhang Hall

before my mother gets tired of waiting.

Okay.

500 taels.

I got it.

Come on here, Ruer.

Ruer,

I haven't seen you for quite a long time.

You've grown prettier than ever.

Thank you, Aunt.

I haven't visited you and uncle for long.

I miss you so much.

Then stay here a bit longer.

It'd be best if you stay here forever.

Well,

look at them.

Hongbin and Ruer are sitting side by side.

Aren't they perfect for each other?

What?

Yeah, yes.

Yes, they are.

Ruer,

Hongbin will take you around.

Hongbin,

you must take good care of Ruer.

Don't let her suffer anything, understand?

- But I've got business... - Aunt,

I can take care of myself.

Brother has to work so hard all day long.

It's really heartbreaking for me to see that.

I can't bother him and ask him to take care of me.

Hongyu,

what are you busy with exactly all day?

Why can't you learn to be mature and sensible

like your brother?

If you keep idling around,

no girl will like you.

You're right.

Of course I'm not that popular among girls as my brother.

Big Brother,

are you all set on the reception for Family Song?

I've got everything ready.

Family Song has sent their daughter, Song Qin,

for marriage this time.

I've told the servants

to clean up Tingxue Hall.

She'll stay there temporarily.

Marriage?

Father, Mother,

marriage is a big deal.

Why did you keep us in the dark about it?

The marriage between royal families is no a trifling matter.

It's not too late to tell you now.

Why are you so nervous?

The friendship between our two families has spanned generations.

Now we're gonna work together.

What's the problem with it?

I'm just afraid that they covet our Yun Iron

in the disguise of marriage.

Come on, it's not that bad.

Wedding is a joyful event.

You should understand your father.

He's not well.

Don't provoke him.

Father,

has Miss Song decided who she'll marry?

It hasn't been decided yet.

But they'll visit us soon.

Both of you should get ready.

It's a marriage between clans.

So I guess they'd prefer our firstborn as their son-in-law.

Congratulations, brother!

You're getting married!

They haven't arrived here yet.

Stop making sarcastic remarks.

Just shut up.

- Eat now! - Indeed.

Listen to your mom.

Marriage is no trivial matter.

Alright.

Father, Mother,

I understand.

Mother, enjoy this.

Oh, my good boy.

Well, now let's enjoy this meal.

Come on.

Enjoy the meal.

- Aunt, eat. - Sure.

Brother,

I heard that Miss Song is famous for her cleverness.

Well, now that I think about it,

she'll complement you.

You are meant to be together.

You have a glib tongue.

You'll definitely win her heart.

No one will like me,

an idle, good-for-nothing playboy.

If Father asks me to marry Miss Song,

Family Song won't agree.

Not necessarily.

Maybe you're exactly who they want.

You should prepare for the wedding, anyway.

As far as I'm concerned,

it's going to be you.

If I say no to this marriage,

no one can make the decision for me.

With the current situation,

I'm afraid that even you, my big brother, can do nothing about it.

[Yunyao Commandery]

Good morning, Mr. Li.

You must be tired after such a long trip.

Please check the luggage you take

in case you miss something.

Yes, sir.

Miss, I don't think it's okay.

What if someone finds out?

It feels so suffocated in the litter.

Anyway, you've got this gauze curtain.

Just stay there.

No one will recognize you.

But Miss, why are you...

Come on, that's enough. Just get in!

Miss Song, you're still so naughty.

Uncle Li!

I haven't seen you for 2 years. How are you doing?

I've been living in my own manor.

Of course I'm fine.

I've just been to Yunyao.

Uncle Li, you'll have to look after me.

Of course.

It's my duty.

The banquet has been ready.

Miss Song, please go there and enjoy the feast.

Uncle Li,

you can't tell anyone that

I disguised myself as my maid.

Don't worry. You can go now.

Today's banquet,

it is about the dignity of our Li's Manor.

There's no room for even the slightest mistake.

I want you to have everything well polished

and put in order.

Hurry!

No slacking off!

Hey, take a guess.

Which hat will Young Master prefer?

The Yuechan Hat or that Shoulian one?

It's such an important banquet.

The hat must bring out his soldierly bearing.

Do you think Master will tell us to fetch that Yueniao Hat

that His Majesty granted him that year?

Maybe.

What do you think?

I'll just see if there're any more naked guys

when there're so many people here.

Then I can leave this dump as soon as I finish my painting.

Hey, you!

Which one do you think would fit?

The palette of these clothes is so dull.

No one fits exactly.

Especially this one.

It's so ugly.

You can leave now.

Yes.

You, stay.

Young Master, I guess you're getting changed.

I'm afraid it'd be unsuitable if I stay here.

I'll just wait outside.

Stop.

You burst into my home.

You got pregnant with my baby.

And you'd do strange things every day.

I just realize that

I still don't know the mother of my baby.

Young Master,

what are you talking about?

Who are you exactly?

I...

I'm Xiong Xiruo.

Who else can I be?

Young Master,

there'll be so many guests at today's banquet.

I mustn't hold you up.

I'll wait for you outside.

Get back!

What are you doing?

I can't believe you'd get handsy on me

in broad daylight!

Why is there no mark...

Young Master, the banquet will start soon.

Duke wants you to go over there now.

There'll be so many people at today's banquet.

Without my permission,

you're not going anywhere.

Just stay here.

So lavish.

There are so many people here now.

Let me see...

where're the other two golden arhats?

Come on, everyone.

Our two families have always been friends.

Thank you all for coming.

It's our greatest pleasure.

So I hold this banquet

to express our welcome.

I hope you can all enjoy yourselves.

Duke Lean, I want to express my gratitude to you for your kindness

on behalf of the whole Family Song.

It's just that Miss Song is not feeling well today.

So she can't attend the banquet.

Duke, please understand that.

Have you asked the doctor?

Yes.

Nothing serious.

She just needs some rest.

That'd be good.

Rest is indeed necessary after a long journey.

And please forgive us

if there's any poor treat today.

Which one is better,

Young Master or second Young Master?

You must be new here.

Of course second Young Master's better.

Young Master is nothing but a devil.

What?

But I heard that he's handsome

and good at martial arts.

That he's the best warrior in Yunyao.

See?

He's sitting there as firm as a rock.

So cool!

No!

"The best warrior"?

He's always teasing weak women.

That's not what I heard.

You're just a servant girl.

What you heard is wrong.

I'm telling you.

Second Young Master is the exceptional one.

Look at him.

He's so elegant and gentle.

He's good at music, chess, calligraphy and painting

and also martial arts.

What?

Why is his face pockmarked?

What?

He seems creepy rather than elegant.

He might have eaten too much spicy food.

Whatever, I still think second Young Master is better.

Young Master is obviously better looking.

You know nothing.

Yunyao is in a remote place.

Unlike the capital where you live.

It's such an honor to live near the royal palace.

Thank you for traveling all the way here in person.

We don't want to make you feel unwelcome.

Duke, you're being so modest.

There were three Dukes among your forefathers.

You're deeply revered.

Our Duke sent us here this time

to unite our two families by marriage

so that we can work together.

I shall thank Duke Song for his favor.

Of course I know his good intention.

But it's about choosing a lifelong partner for our children.

We can't act in haste.

You must be exhausted from the long journey.

Why don't you get settled in our manor first?

We'll discuss it later.

Yeah, that would be nice.

I've long heard about your two Young Masters

being handsome and noble.

I get to see them in person today.

They are indeed so extraordinary.

That monkey!

Ninth Master, you're flattering them.

I heard that Young Master Li once joined the army

and enjoyed great military success at this young age.

He's a rare talented army commander.

And he's bold and powerful, good at martial arts.

Our warrior admires Young Master Li so much for his prestige.

He always wants to exchange blows with Young Master Li.

We wonder whether he'll have the honor

to learn from Young Master today.

Young Master Li.

I didn't see this coming.

He'll kick your ass, devil!

They haven't even started fighting.

How can you make sure that he'll lose?

Today's banquet is our welcome ceremony for you.

Combating is no way of showing our hospitality.

Will Young Master Li refuse our request?

Ninth Master, you must be joking.

We're just afraid that

combating may hurt the harmony between us.

Duke, don't worry.

If our warrior loses,

he'll admit defeat candidly.

There'll be no grievance on our side.

Is it because Young Master Li is afraid that he'll lose?

Father, don't worry.

Now that Ninth Master has promised

that they'd admit defeat candidly,

I guess they won't be that narrow-minded.

In only several moves,

the result will be clear.

I won't disturb your feast.

Good.

Young Master, I admire your boldness.

Then, please.

Please.

Come on.

Great!

Let's see Young Master get punched.

You're a servant girl.

How come you can't jump over the handrails?

Come on! Hurry!

Come on.

Let's go!

Beat him up!

Young Master is so gallant.

I must marry him.

You...

What did you say?

I... I said our Miss will marry him.

Your Miss?

Who do you serve?

I'm Miss Song's personal maid.

Why would everyone in Family Song see Li...

Young Master.

Beat him!

Come on!

Little tricks.

Come on, hurry!

Young Master would risk his life just to save a servant.

I've never heard of such thing.

What I've seen here is indeed eye-opening.

Why are you here?

Just go and take the punishment.

Yes.

Stop looking at me!

Miss.

Sorry for the disturbance that the ignorant servant caused.

I'm sorry.

What a beautiful day.

May I entertain you with some dance shows?

Why not we go see the Sogdian Whirl we arranged?

Ninth Master, this way please.

Please.

Cousin...

I warned you not to leave Xiaofeng Courtyard

without my permission.

I just wanted to experience the grand banquet.

Tell me.

Why did you try to approach me?

Hey, listen!

He's telling me that

"Daddy's so gallant and so cool!

It was worth the trip!"

Nonsense.

Since you don't want to copy the book,

go clean my study room.

You can't leave the study

until you make that place spotless.

Turns out my belly is the only thing

I can count on at such a pivotal moment.

Thank you, Young Master, for saving my life.

If she's really Happy Fairy,

is it possible that she's sent by Petaled Lotus?

Before the banquet started,

I had checked.

I saw no mark on her shoulders.

But things can't be that simple.

Keep an eye on her.

Find out why she stays with me.

Yes.

So many books to read.

Won't he be tired out?

No wonder that devil is so muddled.

That devil.

He's so capricious.

He asked me to copy the book.

Then he grounded me.

Now he told me to wipe his books page by page.

I don't think he'll check it page by page.

Confidential?

I'm gonna wipe it.

Wipe!

Wipe!

Wipe!

This is what you get for grounding me.

Devil!

I've been grounded for so long. Let me go!

You bastard!

I'm gonna stab you!

There's someone else in this study?

Turns out it's just a strange bird.

Stop it.

Shut up!

It was you who made that strange sound.

Little slut!

Slut!

Hey, you dumb bird.

How come you're so cheeky!

Who are you calling a "slut"?

Slut!

Turns out that devil wasn't abusing women.

He was just keeping a dumb bird as his pet.

Slut!

You say that again!

Slut!

How dare you!

Slut!

I'll punch you, believe it or not!

Slut!

I'm gonna punch you!

You're running? Stop!

I'll kill you!

I'm going to kill you!

Stop running!

Damn!

I'll kill you!

I'll kill you!

Fire! Beware!

You're still running?

Come back!

Stop running!

Young Master!

Young Master!

Xiaofeng Courtyard...

What's the hurry?

Slow down.

Slow down.

Slow down...

She did notice that confidential letter.

I watched her take that letter and then open it.

Then she just threw it onto the desk.

She didn't even look at it.

That's all?

Basically, that's all.

It's just that...

Just what? Just say it. Hurry.

Hurry up?

Master, if you don't go back now,

Xiaofeng Courtyard will be burned down!

Burned down...

Xiaofeng Courtyard?

Slut!

You're still calling me "slut", right?

Dumb bird!

Slut!

Slut!

You're telling me that

someone burst into our manor

just to kill my bird.

And you fought against him, risking your life,

just to save my bird,

and left this place a total wreck.

Eventually, my bird got scared and flew away.

And you're seriously injured.

Just be honest with me.

What's your intention in approaching me?

Young Master,

I harbour no intention.

I'm here just because I ad...

admire...

admire you.

Admire me?

So vivid.

- Amao. - Yes.

According to our family rules,

what's the punishment for deceiving the master?

Young Master,

flogged to deatn.

- Then kill her. - Yes.

No, Young Master!

I'm still pregnant with your baby.

One day when I get something on you,

I'll punish you with my own hands.

Young Master, you're so wise and gallant.

I know you won't do that to me.

I've long "fallen head over hills"

for your wisdom and gallantry.

That's "fall head over heels".

Find my parrot back now.

It's just a dumb bird.

That parrot means a lot to Young Master.

That's why he's so angry.

Miss Xiong,

you'd better find it back before dawn.

Otherwise...

When can I leave this dump...

Miss,

you must obey Duke's order.

Only when you become the mistress of Li's manor,

can we have control over Yun Iron

and achieve our glorious cause.

I can't care less about that Yun Iron.

But Li Hongbin...

I'll make him my husband.

Ruer,

I'm getting older.

And my vigor is fading away.

No matter what,

you must get along well with Hongbin.

You'll have to be in charge of everything in Li's manor.

Aunt, you've been looking after me since I was little.

You're the one that I respect the most.

I won't let your care and support go to waste.

I'll do my best to serve you well.

Good girl.

Thank you, aunt.

Dumb bird!

Get down here!

Get down here, you dumb bird!

I got scolded because of you.

Get down here!

Slut!

Get down here!

No way!

Get down here!

Or I'll stew you and eat you!

Slut!

She's been here for the whole night?

Yes.

I did remind her that

the parrot meant a lot to you.

But...

she's been here for literally the whole night.

I didn't see that coming.

You've been watching her the whole night?

Yeah.

Well,

you can go have some rest now.

It'll come back

once it has enough fun.

What?

Yes, Young Master.

Why didn't you say so earlier?

Dumb bird!

Slut!

Get down here!

Slut!

Don't mess with me.

Slut!

Slut!

Say that again?

Slut!

Just wait and see.

Slut!

Slut!

Alright.

Wait there for me.

Slut!

Wait!

Slut!

Slut!

Slut!

Damn it!

Let's see how long you can pretend it.

Who's there?

Now that you're pregnant,

you should be careful.

Stop doing dangerous things

like climbing up and down.

If I wasn't here,

no one could save you.

You...

can you put me down?

I didn't ask you to save me.

Morning, Father, Mother.

Why did you summon me here?

You haven't had your breakfast yet, right?

Come join us.

- Madam. - What?

- Go ahead. - Me?

Hongbin,

we summoned you here

to discuss your marriage with Song Qin.

Well,

Family Song has just sent us a message

saying that Miss Song was quite satisfied

with your behavior at yesterday's banquet.

They want us to set you up with her.

So me and your father, we want to ask for your opinion.

Father, Mother,

no way I'm marrying Miss Song.

Enough with that hot-headed manner.

It's not entirely up to you to decide who you're marrying.

Family Song is still in our manor.

If they hear your remarks,

we'll be in trouble.

I'm sorry for being reckless.

It's just that

what they like may not be me

but my identity as your eldest son.

Once she marries me,

she'll be the mistress of our family.

Then they'll be able to capitalize upon Yun Iron.

So that's why you'd fall for their provocation

at yesterday's banquet?

Have you ever considered that

what would they do if you hurt that warrior?

And if that warrior hurt you,

what would me and your mother do?

Duke,

we can't just let them bully us.

I'm here talking about his marriage.

Why did you mention yesterday's fight?

Hongbin,

me and your father, we know you don't want to marry Miss Song.

But Family Song has already taken the initiative to state their intention.

We must handle this thing appropriately.

- Then... - Well,

Ruer has already been here.

She's long been having deep affection for you.

And she's so much better than Miss Song in terms of temper.

She can take good care of you.

If you marry Ruer,

Family Song can't say anything about it.

Mother,

I'm not marrying Ruer, either.

Why?

I always view her as my cousin.

My feelings for her are pure.

You two are at the ages for marriage.

You don't have to feel shy.

It's not about feeling shy or not.

It's...

I don't love her.

I can't ruin her life

just because I don't want to marry Miss Song.

Then tell me about your standards.

Is Ruer not good enough for you?

You won't marry Miss Song nor Ruer.

What kind of woman would you like to marry then?

I don't know either.

Well... I can't marry some girl at random.

You!

Father, Mother, don't worry.

I'll figure out how to deal with Family Song.

You don't need to worry too much.

I've got important business to attend to.

If there's nothing else,

I'll be leaving.

You can leave after breakfast.

I don't have the appetite.

I...

Duke, Duchess.

This is a dessert sent by Family Song.

I don't have the appetite. Take it away!

Yes.

Lord, a pigeon post from our master.

I'd hate to see Family Song and Li unite by marriage.

I heard that Song Qin prefers Li Hongbin.

You should kill him and force her to give up.
