Episode 2

Heathcliff was in love.

Hurry up.

Heathcliff was a child that was unsociable and patient.

Perhaps, he was treated poorly and he became hollow.

As if he was brought by a demon, his face was dark but

he was just a dirty child in tattered clothes.

Heathcliff was not irreverent to his benefactor.

Simply, though he received affection, he didn't feel it.

If you sit over there, you probably won't be able to hear.

Will you come to the front?

- Was Heathcliff a demon? - No.

Heathcliff was in love.

Because Heathcliff was holding back, Earnshaw

called him a pitiful child without a father.

When she saw her father Hindley mistreating him, she was extremely angry.

Strangely, she cared for Heathcliff

and she believed everything he said.

In this way, instead of the excessively silly Cathy who didn't receive affection,

she cared for Heathcliff much more.

Will you be my wife, Jung Ha Eun?

This book was written by Tolstoy when he was 70 years old.

It's a story about how all people have God in their souls and can be resurrected into new people.

Resurrection

Don't you feel as though you can see Nekhlyudov and Katyusha walking through the Siberia on a snowy night?

Katyusha

- Your homework is to write a summary about this book by tomorrow. - Yes, ma'am.

You can be resurrected into a new person

This...

I wanted to give it to you as a present.

This?

Wuthering Heights

Your smile is nice.

Your eyes are pretty, why do you hide them?

Don't do that.

You can show it. This other half.

Show me your other half.

It isn't bad to be hurt.

It's the person who hurt you

is the one who's bad.

What's your name?

Kong Ji Cheol.

Kong Ji Cheol.

In the next life,

I hope you're born into a place without the person who hurt you.

Even if your body dies, your soul is born again.

You can be born again.

Mom, I'm sorry! Please open the door!

Mom! I won't do that anymore.

Mom, I'm sorry! Please open the door!

Mom! Mom! Mom, I'm sorry! Mom!!

I won't do that again!

Please open the door, Mom!

Mom! Please open the door! I won't do it ever again!

Mom! I'm sorry! Please open the door!

Mom! Mom!

Please open the door! I'm sorry!

Please open the door! Mom!

Mom! Please open the door!

I won't do that again. I'm sorry! Mom! Mom!

Hyung! Did you buy me ice cream? What about shrimp crackers?

- Is it yummy? - Yeah! But Hyung

Mom said that she picked up from the street.

- You were picked up from the street? - Mom and Dad have blood type A but I have blood type O.

It's something that couldn't have happened if she gave birth to me. I guess she's not my real mom.

Right, Hyung? Then where's my real mom?

You don't need a mom.

You can just be born again.

So you

pick your mom, okay?

Someone you like. Like ice cream.

Hyung. I'm good at that song you taught me.

You're good?

What's going on? Please tell us!

Wait, what's going on? What's happening?

Hey! Come here.

Hey, they're coming out!

What is that?

What's wrong with him? Is he sick?

Sung Woo. I'm here.

He's dead. A robber broke in yesterday.

- A robber? - Move !

Sung Woo...

Sung Woo...

Why are you crying again? Die! Die!

Why aren't you listening?

How could I be your mom?

Hyung

Me too...

I'm scared too.

- Seo Woo. - Hyung! Me too!

Hyung!

I told you to kill them.

Kill them.

Kill them!

It isn't bad to be hurt.

It's the person who hurt you

who is bad.

Next.

Next. Next. Lift your head.

Next.

Ah, he just lost his mind.

He said that he's the murderer.

He probably made that up since he lost his mind!

Next!

What do you people know?

You people... how do you know everything!

I'm in the sky!

Hurry up and take him away! Next!

- Come here. - I'm in the sky! I'm in the sky!

- I'm in the sky! - Stop it. Stop it!

Detective Cha! A call came for you!

Jung Ha Eun is in the hospital right now!

When?

Detective Cha! Do you know which hospital it is?

Her condition isn't good.

She doesn't take care of herself well either.

Still. Because someone quickly found her and brought her to the hospital,

they saved her life.

Ha Eun looks uncomfortable because of the oxygen mask.

She doesn't like putting things on her body.

Which is why she doesn't even wear gloves.

Ha Eun. Just a little bit longer.

Why is she acting this way?

Fortunately, there is a cardiology professor from America here, who was invited to study here for a year.

Would you like to speak to them?

It's a disease in the muscles of the heart.

There aren't a lot of patients who get transplants

but fortunately, Jung Ha Eun is a patient who could live with a heart transplant.

She might be the first in Korea

but in America, there are a lot of patients with successful heart transplants.

No matter the cost of the surgery, we will do it.

There is something more important than the cost.

What is it?

It's the heart donor.

The donor has to be declared brain dead and their family must consent

in order for us to do an organ transplant.

Organ donor...

It's difficult for us to say for certain,

when we will get an organ donor at our hospital.

We'll wait.

Does Jung Ha Eun not have a guardian?

I am her guardian.

Ha Eun is stronger than most people

and I will stay by her side until an organ donor comes.

You won't just be staying by her side. You would have to stay by her side 24 hours a day--

We're getting married. I'm going to marry her and protect her.

24 hours. By her side.

Jung Ha Eun gets worse every time she comes to the hospital.

It's so cool.

The patient in the ICU (intensive care unit) is brain dead.

Are they not an organ donor?

Jung Hae In's blood type is AB. The patient in the ICU is blood type O.

They can't do the transplant. And that patient's son--

Mom and Dad have blood type A but I have blood type O.

They said I'm a child who they couldn't have birthed.

But I'm a little jealous of Jung Ha Eun.

There's a guy who would marry a girl who could die at any moment.

It's really romantic.

By chance... are you Min Hyeong Ho's family?

Yes.

I heard from the professor.

He's your son, isn't he?

Would like to have a cup of coffee with me, for a moment?

What does it mean when someone is brain dead?

- Brain dead? - If you tell me more in more detail...

Brain death means the pupils aren't dilating

To put it simply, he's in a condition where he cannot breathe on this own.

Oh really?

Please excuse me for a moment.

I'm at Saint Peter's Hospital. Over.

We've passed the critical stage. Over.

As things get better, I'll come back to work. Over.

In your next life, I hope you're born into a place where people don't hurt you.

Don't die.

I'll go and find you a new heart.

Thank you.

The culprit has long hair!

There aren't a lot of men with long hair in Korea!

You're awake?

Let's go home, Hyeong Bin.

You know I don't like the smell of hospitals.

It smells like dead bodies.

I feel like I'm going to throw up.

Then throw up. Let's go to the bathroom.

I know!

They said I have to get a heart transplant to live.

Waiting here and waiting at home are the same thing.

Let's please leave.

Oh! Ha Eun!

You look healthier than me!

Detective Joo, please hurry and take him.

You said you had to protect the country. You said protecting the country was protecting me.

But you don't catch the bad guys and you're crying in front of me instead.

It's really unattractive.

When did I cry?

Oh, right. The yellow umbrella serial killer. I came to tell you that someone saw the face sketch and sent us a tip.

- A tip? - Yes.

You said you were going to keep staying here

so I brought them here. The informant.

He was burning a yellow umbrella.

He covered his face with his hair like this.

The young man's face was... how should I put it?

His face looked like he was possessed by a ghost.

The thing is... he's a young man I know. And I know where he lives.

I went to his house a couple of times to evangelize to him.

It looked like he lives alone.

A person's a person! How can you say that someone is possessed by a ghost? What kind of ghost has possessed me?

Let's see, let's see. It looks like an oppressed ghost!

Satan, away with you!

What is this? My name is... Joo In Do, woman!

Go watch Ha Eun's hospital room.

So that she can't leave her hospital room.

Yes.

- We should go. - Yes, let's go.

Come this way.

Here. It's here.

He was burning yellow umbrellas, right here.

Where is the house?

It's close. There. It's that way.

Declaration of Brain Death...

In a coma that is not responsive to external stimuli...

Inability to breathe independently.

Parietal dilatation of the eyes.

The condition of the brain is different than that of the heart.

The brain is dead but the heart is beating.

Careful of Fire

Clothes

Did you kill someone?

It's because of you that it's like this. Didn't you think you would eventually get caught?

I'm going on a boat tonight. I'm leaving Korea.

This will probably be the last time I see you.

That's a relief.

Ji Cheol. Never

feel guilt, in any situation.

It's not your fault.

Everything is the fault of the heavens.

Heaven?

No. For me, it's all my fault.

Killing people like you. Shamelessly blaming the heavens.

Hye Mi. Take care of that child. Until the end.

The detective knows about that house so find a new place for Ji Cheol to live.

Yes, sir.

Kong Ji Cheol.

Wuthering Heights.

An Old Future

Will you be my wife, Jung Ha Eun?

She kept throwing up.

Love Salon

- Please come more often! - Okay!

Goodbye!

Mom and Dad are all blood type AB

Jung Ha Eun's blood type is AB.

I wanted to cut my hair.

I'm closed now.

Okay. I'll cut your hair for you. Come over here.

You have an eye disease?

But why do you look familiar? Where have I seen you before?

You're good looking.

Why do you look so somber?

How should I cut it for you?

What's your blood type?

Why are you asking that all of a sudden?

Because you seem like you have a good personality.

I'm always curious about women like that.

I'm AB.

What about you?

But why is Sung Woo blood type O?

Did you really just pick him up from somewhere?

Sung Woo? Sung Woo's blood type B.

Ha Eun! Jung Ha Eun!

Taxi. Taxi!

Are you a patient? Would you like to sit?

I'm fine.

Could you please stop the bus?

Ahjusshi, stop the car please!

Let's leave!

What am I going to do? There are no phones here.

You're so weak. How dare you?

You or that thing... all you know how to do is leech off people.

That thing?

Yeah. The kid that you used to play with.

That thing.

Why did you kill him?

You're crazy.

Why did you kill him!

I'm killing myself trying to feed myself and my kid

but why should I have to feed and clothe a beggar like him!

For me, let's just say we don't share blood

but you didn't even recognize your own son.

I told him that his blood type was O

I took off all his clothes and tied him up and beat him for hours

but I couldn't look at him with my eyes open.

You deceived him?

If that thing is gone, we're happy so what can I do! I had to kill him!

That little kid was so tough. I'd starve him and he wouldn't die.

Even if I left him outside all night, he didn't die.

That day I pushed him once

and that thing... he just slept.

If I had killed you earlier

Sung Woo wouldn't have died.

That thing would have died anyway.

Stop calling him that thing!

Sung Woo. I'm here.

Love Salon

Yes, this is Love Salon but someone is hurt.

Hurry up! I think this woman is going to die.

Please hurry up and come here. Please.

Born Again
