Maoyuan Inn

Look at you now. Are you still trying to avoid me?

So to you

I'm someone who schemes in such a Machiavellian way

and also a brutal man.

right?

If he really was the murderer of my clan,

why would he risk his life to save me?

He is also investigating the Bai Liang Case

with all his heart.

Father.

Mother.

Should I trust him?

Hold on.

Are you taking the shift at the graveyard?

Yes

I'm going with you.

You're safer here.

Little Su.

Did you follow me because

you're worried about me?

Why haven't we arrived?

Are we there?

Let's talk when we arrive.

We'll be there soon.

What are you doing?

Someone's there.

Why should we hide?

We cannot make them alert.

This is it, right?

Yeah.

Only one? Let's do it.

Sir.

You've been following me since that day at the Capital Suburb.

You finally show yourself today.

You're good indeed.

It's a fake cemetery of Li.

Yet you've been waiting here for days

just to set a trap

and catch me, right?

You are my what I want

all this while.

We can ask the government to help us.

Get two abandoned land to make ditches.

One of the land

is the Cemetery of Li.

The cemetery has to be relocated to dig ditches.

Li Mu will appear if he's still alive.

What about the other abandoned land?

We can make a fake cemetery.

Why?

We've been followed

all the way here.

I'm afraid

the mastermind behind has been alerted of our operation.

Rushuang and Little Su

shall wait at the Cemetery of Li.

I will be at the fake cemetery with Brother Xie

to draw them out.

I want him alive.

Yes.

Go.

Yes.

Your Highness.

Mr. Xie has captured the workers relocating the cemetery.

Let's go.

Young Master.

-Sister Su. -Young Master.

You are finally here.

Here they are.

We've been waiting for you so long.

They're here.

Young Master.

Li Mu's Grave

What is your relationship

with the dead?

No.

We are just workers.

We get paid

to relocate the cemetery.

Why do you

do the relocation

sneakily at this weird time?

Here's all the money we have.

Here you are.

Do we look like bandits to you?

Give us the answer.

Why are you here sneakily at night?

You are...

really not robbers?

Do we look like robbers to you?

Just answer our questions.

Corpses cannot be exposed to sunlight.

Yes.

That's why we move them after sunset.

It's a local custom.

Sir., Misses.

We are just workers.

Li Mu's Grave I don't know anything.

Someone gave me a tael of silver yesterday.

He asked me to pay them

so I came here.

What did he look like?

Where did he live?

He covered his face.

I don't know as well.

I came here

because of this tael of silver.

I thought it's easy.

It seems

they're telling the truth.

What about the employer?

He covered his face too.

After he paid us the deposit,

he set a time

for us to relocate these 3 graves.

We haven't got the rest yet.

My lords.

We still have work to do.

Can we start now?

The government

will deal with it.

You may leave.

Alright, let's go.

You stay.

We still have questions for you.

Where did you meet him?

If I knew I would be in trouble,

I wouldn't have taken the money.

It's at the front of my shop.

He came up to me.

You mean that

he lives around?

I...

Is it a custom to spread

rosin powder when relocating the graves?

It's for the family members

to spread when relocating.

So the spirit of the dead can

find the way to the new grave

by following the smell of rosin powder

in case they get lost

and wander alone.

We don't spread it here

as we're strangers.

Then why is there the rosin powder?

What...

If a stranger uses rosin powder,

he'll be haunted.

Is it possible if anyone doesn't know that?

Every one here

surely knows that.

I got it.

It's the worker.

The one we're looking for

was hiding amongst the workers just now.

Stop!

Stop!

Stop!

Stop!

How is it?

We lost him.

What...

What are you trying to do?

Don't panic.

We just want to ask about Li Mu.

I'm not Li Mu.

I'm just a worker.

Why did you spread the rosin powder

It's Li Mu's letter.

My brother, Li Lin, and I

He had a younger brother?

My brother was weak and sick all the time.

To find a good doctor,

I answered a request

to forge a letter of collaboration

between Bai Liang Clan and Fan Yan Na

after deliberation.

If Li Mu had a younger brother,

why didn't his neighbours knew about him?

He wrote that

the birth of Li Lin

was ominous.

He couldn't go out.

The secret room
