Martial Arts Stage

Officer Feng,

why are there so many imperial guards today?

I'm sure someone will be here today.

Someone?

Who?

I think it must be Prince Qi.

Prince Qi?

I thought he wasn't involved in court affairs anymore?

Of course it's about something else.

The last test is the martial arts.

It accounts for one-fifth of the promotion examination

You need to compete one-on-one.

The winner of every round will receive 4 points.

Now,

please draw your lots

to determine the order of starting.

The martial arts test starts now!

Wang Jun

Su Ci

Thank you, Detective Su.

Finalists: Su Ci, Luo Xin

Officer Liu,

Prince Qi has arrived.

Your Highness.

How's it?

It's the final round.

The finalists are Su Ci and Luo Xin.

Alright.

You may be excused.

Your Highness, you...

Don't bother.

Champion: Su Ci

Officer Luo, I win.

Since when

did the honest Detective Su

become so tricky?

I'm sorry.

I lost to my ability.

Why are you apologizing?

Sanyuan Restaurant

Cheers!

Cheers!

Sister Su, congratulations for realizing your wish.

Sister Su, you're amazing!

Congratulations!

The final result

will be announced after being reviewed

by the Ministry of Personnel.

The review is a mere formality.

There won't be any problem.

Last time we mentioned that

Lu Zhaonan, who imitated Mulan in serving in the army for her father,

disguised as a man

and concealed it

from many soldiers in the barrack.

Not only was she wise and brave

but also won many victories.

Rushuang.

After that,

Looks like it's a new story.

the Emperor conferred her the title "General of the Flying Cavalry".

But on their triumphant return to the capital...

Guess what happened?

One day when Zhaonan was taking her bath,

she encountered assassination by the remnants of the enemy.

Her true gender was revealed.

Sister Su,

try this.

Thank you.

She was so beautiful...

Young Master.

It not only surprised her subordinates

but also the assassinators.

But her beauty didn't help her much.

As Zhaonan had deceived the Emperor,

the stubborn lieutenant captured her

and brought her before the Emperor.

Zhaonan received the title "General of the Flying Cavalry"

for her military victories.

The lieutenant must be jealous of her.

Jealous.

That's right.

He's weak and narrow-minded.

Shame on him.

You should be killed for deceiving the Emperor.

How about the open-minded party?

They fought for Zhaonan to make up for her deceit.

His Majesty should practice meritocracy.

She should be rewarded.

Everyone,

what do you think?

Of course she should be rewarded.

Yes, she should be rewarded.

I agree.

Need I say more?

Of course she should be rewarded.

Yes.

The citizens

thought so too.

So they voluntarily gathered a petition.

There were tens of thousands of names

on the 100-meter-long petition.

In the end, the Emperor appeased the people

pardoned Zhaonan

and conferred her the title

"The First Female General

of the Country".

Great!

What a splendid story!

Amazing!

Bravo!

What a nice story! Great!

That's brilliant.

It's quite good.

But the Classics of Prince Qi

was replaced by the Classics of Zhaonan.

Little Fei Yuan,

are you unhappy?

Is she right, Little Fei Yuan?

Actually,

all these were planned by Young Master.

He said

it's to appease the people.

Fei Yuan,

bring another bottle of wine.

Alright.

Brother Pei, I got it now.

Are you tired of

compliments?

Those were exaggerated.

In fact, I was sick of it.

You did this for me?

Here, have a drink.

Come on.

What a lunatic Qu is.

The price of his paintings is increasing.

You're right.

The one he finished yesterday

was sold for a good price.

I've never thought that

we could earn extra money from this.

You're right.

I've been travelling these few years.

I came across that many local schools

have started to recruit female students.

Mr. Xu, I wonder what you think about this.

Is it true?

That's absurd.

Why would you say that?

Women should learn how to become a good wife.

It's enough for them to learn some women precepts.

If they attend school with men

and become intimate with males,

women's morals and propriety will lose.

Mr. Xu is Right.

Men study and pass examination

with the purpose of serving the country.

But it's not the same for women.

They'll eventually marry and have kids.

Why bother messing in public?

They'll bring shame to the family.

It's fine

if women learn about principles

and general knowledge.

But if they go too far,

evil intention may generate.

It's better to be ignorant and behave themselves.

That's right.

Imperial College）

Your Highness,

these scholars are really pedantic

and stubborn.

That's right.

Why did you

pay them a visit then?

We still need them for the breakthrough.

If I can't convince them,

how can we break the tradition?

Looks like you has found a solution.

Here's another thing.

His Majesty ordered me

to host a banquet for the Beirong delegation.

Inform the others to prepare for it.

Yes.

Be careful.

Keep up!

Quick!

Capital Suburb Inn

Wait a moment.

I'm Che Yan,

subordinate of Prince Shuomu and Princess Yunchuan.

I'm Fu Ziyou.

I'm responsible for protecting

Princess Yunchuan while she's in Liang.

Thank you, Commander Fu.

What are those?

These are the daily necessities of Princess Yunchuan.

Have you checked boxes?

Sir,

the delegation brought the boxes with them.

I have no right to check.

They've traveled a long distance.

Problems may occur

along the journey.

For the Princess's safety,

we'll need to check the boxes.

It's my responsibility. Please cooperate.

You can't do that!

How dare you

touch my stuff?

His Highness. Her Highness.

Commander Fu, don't stand on ceremony.

It's my responsibility to protect the Princess.

Your Highness, please pardon me.

I don't need your protection.

Carry my boxes inside.

Commander Fu,

my younger sister

is like a kid.

Don't bother yourself arguing with her.

Yunchuan,

we're now on their land.

We must follow their rules.

I...

Open them.

Thank you, Your Highness.

Understood.

Good girl.

Carry the boxes to the Princess's bedroom.

Understood.

Is it done?

Carry them over.

Brother,

I want to go out and play.

Look at you.

You'd better get a good rest.

We'll enter the palace to meet the Emperor of Liang tomorrow.

Commander Fu,

I'll leave it to you.

Please excuse me.

What a great poem Mr. Li has written.

Look at this painting.

Yes, it's so vivid.

Is it true that Su Ci

is indeed a woman?

Su Ci had conflicted with

with the son of Marquis Yong'an

due to a girl's robbery case.

Few days later,

the son of Marquis Yong'an was exiled to the border.

Prince Qi has been strange lately.

He not only went to the Imperial College

and discussed female students

but also arranged storytellers to spread

the story of female general at big inns in the capital,

to preach that

women can serve the country just like men.

Looks like

he's paving the way for Su Ci.

Find Xiao Junhao

in person.

Yes.

Find out if

Su Ci

is indeed a woman.

If yes,

we can take this opportunity to get rid of her

and suppress Xiao Yanzhi.

Mansion of Prince Qi

Congratulations, Your Highness.

I've no idea what I should be happy with.

I've figured out the truth

as your request.

Mr. Xu's daughter is indeed studying at the Imperial College.

Do you have any concrete evidence?

Here you are.

Start with serving the parents,

followed by serving the King,

and end with the self.

Sir,

Officer Jiang, why are you here today?

Prince Qi asked me to give it to you.

This...

Sir.

This...

Don't be nervous.

His Highness is an upright person.

He just wanted to remind you that

as Confucius said, "Education knows no class distinction".

There's no distinction in classes or wealth,

why care about men and women?

His Highness was right about that indeed.

Looks like I'm being pedantic.

The Imperial College will immediately announce

that women are allowed to enroll.

We'll call on local schools to follow

that everyone should have equal access to education.

Thank you.

Brother Pei, have you slept?

Come in.

Come, have a seat.

It's fine.

This is for you.

This is...

I embroidered this on my own.

Are these

eggplants?

I know.

These are red dates.

Aren't they?

Are these peanuts then?

Is my needlework that bad?

Whether it's peanut or red date,

I know what you mean.

Have a baby soon.

Your Majesty.

Prince and Princess, you may rise.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

We, Shuomu and Yuchuan of Beirong,

by the order of our King,

hereby present the Letter of Credence.

King of Beirong extends greetings to Emperor of Liang

Beirong shows sincerity in peace negotiation.

If we could successfully sign an armistice this time

it would be a win-win situation.

But the alliance between two countries

involves military and government affairs and business exchanges.

There are many great talents in Liang.

Princess Yunchuan may take the time to choose carefully.

How about we reach an alliance first

and discuss about the marriage later?

Wouldn't it be an icing on the cake?

Am I right?

There's no need to re-discuss about the marriage candidate.
