concept worthless.

to get rid of that missile,
fail-safe or no fail-safe.

despite the malfunction.

the missile exploded safely.

what happened aboard Seaview.

by telemetry.

They didn't know about the mass
hallucination aboard, but
they did spot the malfunction.

That's why the president
released the fail-safe...

and allowed us
to fire the missile
before it exploded aboard.

Now, suppose the president had
waited just a few seconds longer
before he made his decision?

Well, we wouldn't be here
discussing it now, would we?
