Dear Herbal Lord Season 1

Episode 10

Herbal Lord,

you finally come.

High Priest,

could Miss Jiang be cured?

I'm willing to have a try.

But it's not a proper place

for treatment.

I need to take Miss Jiang to the Wuwang Hall.

No one is allowed to follow us.

It's...

Excellency Jiang,

you'd better do as High Priest said.

I'll go to the Wuwang Hall too.

How dare you?

It's a great blessing that Master is willing to save her.

How dare you put forward a condition?

Besides, the Wuwang Hall

is the forbidden place of our Xingshui Monastery.

No outsider is allowed to go inside.

Uncle,

you're stopping the High Priest from saving her.

I haven't seen you for long,

but you're still the person who you used to be.

Don't you want me

to save Miss Jiang?

High Priest,

please cure her, if you can.

If you can't,

I'll take her somewhere else.

But I won't let her

out of my sight.

Fine.

Now that you stick to your thought,

follow me.

As for the Wuwang Hall,

an ordinary person won't be able to get into it.

Herbal Lord,

can you make it?

Ouch.

Why did you whip me?

I thought you would have died.

Would a dead person feel the pain?

I did die.

Because of the pain.

You can try being pierced by a sword.

Oh my God.

It hurt more than plucking my leaves out.

You could live without your leaves.

Tell me.

Why did you hide in my place?

I was badly hurt at that moment.

So I hid myself here unconsciously.

I intended to go out when they stopped the fight.

But it hurt

as soon as I went out.

Then I came back unconsciously again.

Now I'm being carried to the Xingshui Monastery.

What should I do if I'm

subdued by some powerful Taoist priest?

Nope. Nope.

I...I won't go out.

What a silly indigowoad herb you're!

You hid yourself here in a sudden.

They might think you had died.

Your breathing isn't perceptible.

What if they would bury you?

Please let me hide here for a little longer.

I'll go out as soon as they leave the Xingshui Monastery.

Will you?

It's said that Herbal Lord never gets close to a lady.

But it seems

you've fallen in love.

Don't worry about me, High Priest.

There're so many beauties in the world.

Herbal Lord, you have to keep your eyes open.

The lady in front of us

might not be the same as what you and I know.

High Priest, what do you mean?

Herbal Lord,

do you believe in the rumor of ghosts and gods?

It's ridiculous.

So you've never been to my Xingshui Monastery

since you were a child.

When we met in Daxing City,

you were being indifferent.

High Priest,

if you have the time to talk with me,

you'd better take it to cure her.

Why do I have to rush?

The lady

doesn't need me to cure her.

When time's up,

she'll wake up involuntarily.

You've known her for long.

Don't you notice anything strange?

Oops!

You're poisonous.

Qingyun.

What did you say?

Miss Jiang.

Let me go.

How strong the herbal essence is!

It smells so great.

Why I came to the Xingshui Monastery is that

I wanna save her.

If you don't wanna save her,

then I'll leave.

If you don't believe me,

I'll wake her up.

See for yourself.

It's the herbal essence.

Herbal Lord.

Herbal Lord?

Where is he?

Herbal Lord.

Jiang Qingyun, where are you going?

Herbal Lord.

Chu Zhimo has been poisonous since his childhood.

He lives off the herbal essence.

If you

keep staying with him

to consume his herbal essence,

he'll definitely be overwhelmed.

I'm not.

I'm not a monster.

I'm a botanic immortal.

A human being is born with Yang.

A human being is born with Yang

while you're born with Yin.

If you keep staying with him, it'll go against the rule of living.

You two shouldn't be together.

Otherwise, neither of you will acquire the peaceful end.

Herbal Lord.

Herbal Lord.

Herbal Lord.

Herbal Lord.

Qingyun,

you wake up.

Herbal Lord,

are you okay?

Don't worry.

I'm fine.

I'm here. Don't be scared.

You...

You...

Qingyun, where're you going?

Let me go.

Let me go.

Qingyun.

Herbal Lord,

I sounded her out just now.

Then Miss Jiang

woke up by herself.

Hasn't it well proved my word?

The rumor of ghosts and gods

is supposed to be ridiculous.

Herbal Lord,

what I said

won't hurt you.

If you don't stay away from her,

you'll suffer from a calamity.

Father.

Qingyun.

My dear daughter,

are...

are you okay?

I'm fine.

It's great. It's great.

High Priest is really powerful,

which is the great luck of our Daxing City.

It's just a piece of cake.

Maybe it's because Miss Jiang

is blessed by some immortal originally.

High Priest,

thank you so much.

Excellency Jiang, I'm flattered.

Miss Jiang has just recovered from a severe wound.

She'd better go back to the town and have a rest.

Herbal Lord,

are you okay?

Father,

I wanna go home.

Sure.

Let's go home. Let's go home.

Let's go now.

What?

As a lady who always stays in her boudoir, Miss Jiang,

you know what it is, don't you?

Nope. Nope.

Father, let's go immediately.

How inexperienced she's!

Father.

Master,

shall we just let Chu Zhimo go?

It was a great chance when you were in the Wuwang Hall.

Killing him directly would save us a lot of trouble.

Stupid.

It would be so obvious to kill him in the Wuwang Hall.

If I did it there,

everyone in Daxing City would know what happened.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Besides,

if I failed just now,

he would know my intentions

when I took action again.

Our plan was supposed to be perfect.

We should have killed him successfully.

It's all the fault of Jiang Qingyun.

She appeared in a sudden,

which ruined our plan.

The failure of our plan

might be the blessing in disguise.

I haven't expected

Jiang Qingyun

is the immortal grass of the previous life.

What the doom it is!

It's time for me to take my revenge.

Brother.

Brother.

You're the young master of the Xiao family.

Why do you have to suffer this

because of Jiang Qingyun?

She died.

It's all my fault.

It's I who didn't protect her well.

She was willing to block the sword for Herbal Lord.

It has nothing to do with you.

Besides,

all she cares is Herbal Lord.

Brother, you tried so hard to protect her

while she was willing to die for Herbal Lord at any time.

Brother,

why do you have to...?

Enough.

Enough.

I don't come here to talk with you about it.

I'm here to tell you.

Jiang Qingyun hasn't died.

Are you serious?

She's not fated to die.

High Priest saved her.

Xiaoya, you're not lying to me, are you?

It's absolutely true.

They're about to go downhill.

Brother, what're you gonna do?

I...I wanna meet Sister Qingyun.

Jiang Qingyun has escaped from death.

Excellency Jiang is accompanying her.

You won't be able to talk with her when you meet her.

We'd better

meet her

when they go downhill.

Besides,

look at how you are now.

If father sees you,

he'll scold you again.

Right.

Qingyun wouldn't like to see how I am now.

I don't know you're unpromising

or block-headed.

She's fine.

It's great she's fine.

Brother, let's go.

Okay.

They'll go downhill in a short while.

Okay.

She's fine.

You'll be fine.

But you have to rest for a few days

because of the wounds.

Father, it doesn't matter.

I rushed to going up the mountain,

so I fell over on the slippery path.

It doesn't matter.

Your Ladyship, you're lying.

There's such a big scar in your chest.

I'm so worried about you.

Father, rest assured.

I won't rush into anything like this.

Father hates Herbal Lord so much,

and I've almost died because of saving Herbal Lord this time.

I don't know how father will scold me.

Qingyun,

have a good rest here.

I've to check on Herbal Lord.

Did Herbal Lord get hurt?

Jing Yiran went back to the town

a few days ago.

There's no one who will take care of him.

That I'm going to check on him

is to thank him for what he's done for you.

Father, take your time.

Lyuluo,

how is Herbal Lord?

Your Ladyship, you don't know it, do you?

Herbal Lord was badly hurt

after a fierce fight.

And he lifted you to the Xingshui Monastery.

He refused to receive the treatment when you were in a coma.

Besides,

he hasn't recovered from the previous disease, has he?

No wonder

he vomited so much blood.

What on earth did I do?

I used to think Herbal Lord

was indifferent to you.

But after all these things,

anyone with discerning eyes would know his affections for you.

So His Lordship is softhearted.

Maybe

His Lordship would agree on the marriage of Herbal Lord and you,

because he's softhearted.

Would he?

If I do marry Herbal Lord,

will he die because of me?

Are we doomed

to being apart?

If you don't stay away from her,

you'll suffer from a calamity.

Herbal Lord,

Daxing City is right ahead of us.

How is your wound?

It doesn't matter.

I received the acupuncture treatment from Excellency Jiang just now.

Great.

Let's go back immediately to see Doctor Jing Yiran.

I intend to go somewhere else first.

I'll go back to my mansion later.

Okay.

Sister Woad,

you're hurt?

It must be painful.

It hurts.

The human body is too fragile.

When I was an indigowoad herb,

I'd never suffered from it.

Especially the sword cut in my chest,

it hurts so much.

When will

such a severe wound heal?

It doesn't matter.

I'll be fine tomorrow.

You can leave first.

The one appeared that day

was her.

If you dare to avoid me,

I'll break into your boudoir at night

and make the uncooked rice cooked.

You can't do it. You can't.

You can't cook rice in my boudoir.

This is the Jiang Qingyun I know.

I have a question for you.

Why have you been avoiding me recently?

I...

I just...

You promised me that day

you would wait for me under the mountain.

Why did you go up the mountain?

Because I heard Sister Maple...

Sister Maple?

Maple leaves.

I heard the sound of maple leaves.

They said there were more maple leaves on the mountain,

so I went up the mountain to have a look.

When I got there, I found you were fighting.

Then I unconsciously...

God. What am I saying?

He won't believe me since I say so.

Why are you so silly?

I...

Even if

you didn't block the sword for me,

I would escape unscathed.

But if you died,

how could I live alone?

You...

You've been tempting me.

And you make me fall for you now.

Do you wanna leave be behind?

If you keep staying with him

to consume his herbal essence,

he'll definitely be overwhelmed.

How is your wound?

It doesn't matter.

You'd better go back to your place.

I'm going to sleep.

Why do you rush?

You're always in fluster.

How is the sword cut?

Stop.

Nope.

Are...

are you Jiang Qingyun?

He knows?

Why are you here?

You finally come back.

Do you know what time it is?

I've been away for merely a few days.

But you made such a mess.

Now you've come back to the city,

and you were in the mood for wandering around at midnight.

Did you intend to stay out all night?

It's just for relaxing myself.

For relaxing?

It seems I'm the only one who cares about your health.

What do I always tell you?

Let Xuhuai take care of the fighting thing.

You do have exquisite martial arts,

but you don't have to fight on your own.

See, now

the internal injury and trauma have triggered your previous disease together.

If my master hadn't treated you,

you would have died.

It's not that bad. It's fine.

It's just because of your anxiety.

You went out to relax yourself

or ask for anxiety?

I'll go and find the medicine for you.

Jiang Qingyun.

I went to meet Jiang Qingyun.

It's something about the lovesickness.

Tell me.

What do you

think of Jiang Qingyun?

My Sister Qingyun

has been doted on by my master since her childhood.

She doesn't like to read medical books,

but prefer to see handsome men.

I don't mean how she used to be.

I mean how she is now.

Yeah.

Since Qingyun

recovered from

the serious disease last time,

she's started to study medicinal materials intently

instead of seeing handsome men.

Maybe it's because

she's fallen in love with you.

Has she?

Maybe following you all the time doesn't count.

But now she's almost died

because of protecting you.

You know who she really is

in your heart clearly,

don't you?

I dreamed of it again.

Your Ladyship,

are you okay?

How come I've

had the same dream these days?

You've been in low spirit recently.

I feel your wound is almost cured.

What about going to the market with me?

Okay.

Great. I'm gonna prepare for it.

Jiang Qingyun.

Jiang Qingyun, are you here?

Are you sleeping?

Why has she always been sleeping these days?

And I've no idea where other botanic immortals

There's no one I could talk with.

Stick of sugar-coated haws.

It's a stick of sugar-coated haws.

Your Ladyship, shall we buy one?

Accessories.

Your Ladyship, look.

Is the sachet pretty?

Shall we buy one?

Accessories.

Your Ladyship, look.

It's lanterns.

Ladies, have a look at these lanterns.

Look.

Shall we buy one?

Look.

Your Ladyship.

Your Ladyship, what's wrong with you?

Lyuluo, I'm fine.

I was thinking about other things just now.

Your Ladyship, are you tired?

If you don't wanna wander around,

what about watching an opera in a tea house?

Nope. Nope.

Let's wander around.

Last time, I said

God of Plague appeared to cause chaos in the human world.

Herbal Immortal Yunshuang came to the human world to save ordinary people by order of the Heavenly King.

Immortal Yunshuang

brought his...

He,

the osmanthus cake tastes pretty good.

Go take more bags of it.

Your Highness, it's...

Don't bother me. Don't bother me. Go ahead.

You've had three bags of it.

Don't be that voracious.

Uncle, how come you have time to come here today?

City Governor, even you've time to listen to the story here.

Why can't I have some leisure?

Uncle, to be honest.

I'm having an incognito travel

to observe the mass condition.

Are you?

City Governor,

what have you observed?

The two sides were having a

neck-to-neck fight fiercely.

If you wanna know what will happen,

please listen to me next time.

Everyone, please come here.

Please judge the thing for me.

It's the two ladies who

have broken my bracelet.

You're framing us.

We didn't touch the bracelet at all.

You're speaking nonsense.

The two of you did wanna buy my bracelet.

But you thought it's expensive.

You didn't have money,

so you broke my bracelet on purpose.

I didn't.

It's made of jadeite,

which is worth two taels of silver.

I didn't for sure.

How much?

Two taels of silver.

Two taels of silver?

You're blackmailing us.

I'm the boss.

I can make a price as I want.

You're being unreasonable.

I can make a price as I want.

Your Ladyship.

Give him the money.

How could it be that much?

Give me the compensation. –It's fine.

Just give him.

Where's my wallet?

What's wrong? It's gone?

My wallet's gone.

You have the money, but you don't wanna give it to me.

Do you forget to carry it?

Come here. Come here. Come here. Look.

If you don't give me the money,

I'll take you to the yamen.

What are you talking about?

Lyuluo.

I'll take you to the yamen.

Move.

My wife, I've been finding you everywhere.

Who is he?

Erhu, give him the money.

Who are you?

Take it.

Who's your wife?

I don't know you.

I don't know him.

Right. We don't know him.

I don't know him.

Everyone. Everyone. Everyone.

Please forgive us.

This is my wife.

We had a quarrel a few days ago.

She's still mad at me.

He's talking nonsense.

Erhu, hurry and take my wife home.

Move.

Lyuluo.

Let Lyuluo go.

You jerk, let Lyuluo go.

Let her go.

Let her go.

Enough.

Stop.

You've done enough.

Stop making a mess.

Loosen your grip and let Her Ladyship go.

Hurry and go home with me.

Don't make a mess in the street.

Otherwise, I'll teach you a lesson when we arrive home.

Who?

Who did it?

It's Childe Xiao, isn't it?

Childe Xiao.

Childe Cui,

we haven't met just for a few days.

Did you lose

your wife again?

Childe Xiao, you're kidding.

It's my family affair,

my family affair.

Childe Xiao, hurry and save Her Ladyship.

Lyuluo.

It's...

It's just a misunderstanding. It's a misunderstanding.

Childe Xiao,

now that she's your friend,

I'd better leave now.

Stand still.

He's a liar.

He's lying.

Turn around.

Don't. Don't. Don't.

Young...Young Master.

What did you intend to do?

Buddy...buddy.

We can negotiate.

We can negotiate.

Where is it?

What do you mean?

It's my wallet.

You...you.

Get off.

How are you?

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

Thank you.

It's my pleasure.

To tell you the truth,

if you meet them again,

you'll have to hit them hard

with the slingshot I presented to you.

Well, how is your wound?

It doesn't matter.

I'm much better.

It's great.

Otherwise, I can't forgive myself.

What?

Nothing.

You're at leisure.

What about going to listen to the storytelling with me?

Sure.

Lyuluo,

allow me to take care of her, will you?

Be careful.

Let's go.

I've no idea

how these love stories about human beings and ghosts

will help you be a city governor.

Well.

I mean.

Uncle,

I'm wrong.

There's an incident

happening during the hunting.

Have you pondered over it, City Governor?

I suspect

there's someone in Daxing City who colluded with the foreign state.

Exactly.

Xiao Rui has intended to open the market

to import rare medicinal materials for several times.

Do you mean

it's Excellency Xiao?

It's just my guess.

There're so many connections among the three big families.

The current situation of Daxing City is complicated.

The Clan of Chihuo which is a hundred away from Daxing City

has been casting covetous eyes on us.

With domestic turmoil and foreign aggression going, we have to stay alarmed.

Yes.

I must be well prepared for danger in times of peace.

Put down the osmanthus cake in your hand.

Uncle,

I wanna take back some osmanthus cakes.

Xuhuai,

go take some for him.

Yes.

It's over there.

The storyteller is the best one

who I've ever known.

Besides,

the osmanthus cake there is well-known.

Do you wanna have a try?

They have the osmanthus cake?

It's must be delicious.

Of course.

What's up?

You've made it

on your face.

You liked to eat sugar-coated haws

when you were a child.

Then

there would be plenty of things stuck on your face,

which would turn you to a pussy cat.

Your severe would isn't cured.

You shouldn't wander around.

Follow me.

What?

Wait a sec.

Your Highness.

The story I listened to isn't finished.

I do feel regretful.

I haven't expected there would be a more exciting one.

Jiang Qingyun,

what are you doing? Hurry and come out.

Jiang Qingyun, can you wake up?

Is that Miss Jiang?

Not just her.

Herbal Lord and

Childe Xiao are next to her.

The persons of the three big families are all here.

Is anything gonna happen?

I heard Herbal Lord

saved Miss Jiang in the Xingshui Monastery several days ago.

Is that true?

But Miss Jiang engaged

with Childe Xiao long before.

Who knows what's going on?

A gentleman will always fall for a fair lady.

Jiang Qingyun,

go with me.

If you

keep staying with him

to consume his herbal essence,

he'll definitely be overwhelmed.

Your master is being refused, isn't he?

It seems my aunt is brilliant.

Nope.

My uncle is refused,

so will I still have the aunt?
