So, we're gonna give
you all a mini tour

of every single build
that we have been working on.

Nothing is finished.
Everything has just started.

But you guys are gonna
get a sneak peak

into what we're
gonna present.

Let's lock the door,
and we'll give them a tour.

Let's go fishing.

The farmtruck is notorious
on the streets...

...In oklahoma city...

...And even
across the country.

It's the ultimate
sleeper vehicle.

And we built it.

We take a big air tank with a

inside the pipe.

We have a valve
that opens immediately.

And we shoot azn
off into the abyss.

Essentially, it's like
a potato gun that you've seen,

or like a pumpkin launcher.

is to see

how fast we can make
a vehicle go,

0 to 60 with
just air propulsion.

what we'll do.

We need to figure out
what psi

we need to launch
this thing at,

so we created a mini version
of the air cannon car.

We're testing the air tank
to see if it will hold.

It's holding.
It's enough.

I think we're only
- gonna get one shot at this,

so we might as well
go all out.

We decided
that we would go ahead

and put over a 100 psi
in this thing,

just to test
this thing out.

Because we need to know
the unknowns of this thing.

We have this steel we put in
the racecar on the street.

It's called "draggy."

So, that will give us
some pretty good data --

you know, the g-force,

So, with that data
we can figure out weight,

with this car

versus what we're going to do
with the new car.

We can scale it.
Yeah, we can scale it all up.

And we can just
compare apples to apples.

exactly how it's gonna work.

our jigsaw puzzles,

Jeff: So, you want to put this
over the top of a car.

about an air stream.

This looks like you may have it
pulled it out of a stream.

Farmtruck: It's a little rough
around the edges.

Everything you bring in here
is rough around the edges.

But we can afford
rough around the edges.

You know? This is gonna be
the most exciting build

that we've ever done.

I like the skin.

But the wood's got to go.
Get some aluminum framing.

Tubing, bend it.

Re-skin it,
so it's super light.

Set it on top
of whatever.

I love that idea.
That goes right over a car.

I think we gonna need
something other than a car.

That's pretty long
to fit on a car chassis.

What about
a stubby nose van?

-A van.
-That's a good idea.

-That's rare.

That would get you closer
to that window to look out.

That's easy to find.

Junior: And a van's already
top heavy, so, you know,

it has the suspension
to somewhat adequate.

-That's a pretty good idea.
-I like the van idea.

Farmtruck: I like the van idea
because we'd be right up front.

We'd be able to see out the side
windows and the front window.

-Not a huge van.
-Yeah.

Like a mid '70's van-ish.

Yeah. Like, do you want
a water bed in the back?

This is the build of
the century, right here.

That's a lot of work.

Farmtruck: So, we're only gonna
use the skin on this thing.

That way,
it's lightweight.

Jeff lutz and junior
have built this exoskeleton

out of aluminum.

And we'll put the skin
over it.

We took what we needed
off of it.

We saved all
the outer skin.

We scrapped the wood frame
on the old camper.

Azn: One thing we did learn
from this whole project

is to keep jeff lutz
off the forklift.

You know?

Lutz has -- he's checked out.
Lutz has checked out now.

Now, he's just --
his eyes are red.

Farmtruck: Lutz, like anyone,
builds up frustrations.

No. Not like anyone.

This is gonna be
- a good way for him to release

some of the frustrations
from farmtruck and azn.

Lutz is no longer with us
for about 10 minutes.

this 1977 chevy sport van

that could possibly hide inside
the camper's body,

and make our crazy
project work.

we had that much rust down here

It's a v8, automatic,
air-conditioned,

power steering,
power brake.

There's a lot of rust
on this thing.

But we wouldn't want to
ruin a nice '77 short van

to do what we're
gonna do.

So, it's perfect for what
we're gonna do with it.

It still has
the shag carpet in it.

It still has the console
over the windshield.

All that dirt
come with it?

Every bit of it.

Azn: Oh, look at the shag
on the roof.

No one does that anymore.

for this thing?

I think that's a good,

did things in vans

that we really can't

that he doesn't exactly want,

of rat crap in it

that needed
to be cleaned out.

when it comes to crap,

We like nice things.

But who are we if we show up
in a million-dollar rv?

we can't afford it.

It may not be as nice
as some of the other rvs

that are out there,
but it will be much cooler.

of the bus.

It started off
as an air force bus.

But whenever the air force
didn't need it anymore,

oklahoma state department
of corrections bought it.

And then, they
painted it green.

If you're gonna prison
in oklahoma,

there's an old saying,

"the green lizard
is coming to get you."

this is the original
green lizard.

We bought this,
like, five years ago.

But you know, we're busy
with other projects.

We're busy with
"street outlaws."

and we only could work on this
in our spare time.

So, here it sits.
It's like the titanic.

She's being pulled
out of the water.

And we got to figure out
how to restore it.

On team f&a, we've all been
influenced by the mad scientist.

The mad scientist always
has some crazy idea.

It's fun to play
with gun powder.

And what he likes to do
is do a resto mod.

He likes to take
a modern chassis

with a good wiring harness,
disc brakes.

Instead of messing
with the old drum brakes

and the old brittle 6-volt
wiring harness on this thing,

all of that's
gonna be upgraded.

So, we got a school bus
that was a 2000 model,

that we will use as a donor
for parts for the prison bus.

off of its modern chassis.

way more time

to put brakes on that chassis,
and another rear end.

A whole new drivetrain.

and that was all
before we even had to pull

the body off of
the new chassis...

on the new chassis.

the balance first.

we learned

the exhaust manifold.

We're hitting the actual exhaust
underneath, from the frame.

to be notched, what,

a couple inches
each side?

Yeah. We pick
the bus back up,

make some measurements,
make some cuts.
