My name is Lena Grisky and I go to the best ballet school in the world.

I'm a time traveler from 1905

and my boyfriend Henri is doing everything he can to get me home.

(Lena) Previously...

We need to outdance Ms. Carré's team, or we won't have a mid‐season performance!

Armando and Ms. Carré are competing over the Nutcracker.

Jeff was gutted when he discovered that Isaac stole his role.

(Jeff) You need to think about what's important to you

and what you're willing to destroy to get it.

Ines finally got her memories back.

Guys, I remember!

And with Frank's help they've found a way to trick the Bureau.

(Lena) You just hacked Nico's wristband!

In 1905, Bree and Kennedy found Victor's old wristband.

Bye‐bye, Frank!

What's up, little one?

Oh, and Romy shared some shocking news.

(Romy on the phone) My dad, he might be involved in this somehow.

(Lena) This is my whole life, how did you get this?

I know, right? I found them in the back of my dad's closet.

Romy, give me a hand. There was a sale on kale.

A kale sale!

Dad, this is Lena. The girl in the photos.

(Jack) Oh no... This isn't how I wanted you to find out.

I can explain.

I'm just gonna come out and say it.

Lena... I'm your dad.

(both) What?

(Jack) I'm sure you have a lot of questions.

(Jack) Your mother and I met in the year 2000. I was DJing a New Year's party.

What was my mother doing in the year 2000?

According to Alex, the year 2000 was a big deal for the time travel world.

And she wanted to be there.

(Jack) I saw Alex from across the room. It was like she just stepped out of time.

Which of course, she had.

(Jack) We fell in love.

We got a cute little flat in Paris. And then...

we found out we were having a baby.

(Jack) But shortly after you were born, Alex had to go back.

I don't understand why... And why you couldn't come with us?

It was complicated and dangerous.

Just know that letting you go was the hardest thing I've ever done.

Alex left me letters and photos in a safety deposit box in her time

and they stayed there until I picked them up in the present.

Then, Alex told me you went missing in my time.

(Jack) I looked everywhere. I hired a private investigator and then I saw you on Dance Off.

Why didn't my mum tell me any of this? I had a right to know.

I know this is a lot, but at least we've found each other.

I can finally be your dad.

No! I have a dad.

Lena, I didn't mean to... I knew he wasn't my birth father.

But he raised me and he loved me and he was there for me.

Where were you? (Jack sighs)

Lena, I'm so sorry. (gasps) Sit back down and we'll talk about it.

No. I can't do this. I have to go.

(sighs)

(door slams shut)

(clears his throat)

Whatever it is you're doing, man, just stop. I'm still mad.

I can't believe you stole my role.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm going about my normal day in my normal apparel.

(sighs)

No biggie that we're going all the way to Paris, (laughs) on a train, in public.

(Isaac) Because I am in my normal clothes that I feel super comfortable in.

(laughs nervously)

And now I will eat my normal breakfast.

Every flavor of cereal with every flavor of milk. (laughs goofily)

If only someone would stop me.

(Isaac) Ah... Aaah.

(sighs)

Hmm... Hmm... (retches)

(laughs)

(classical music plays through Lena's headphones)

Hey.

(Ines) I know we both don't want to leave paradise, but maybe you should start packing.

You know we go back to Paris today, right?

Are you okay?

Today is our chance to earn a performance with a real ballet company on the Garnier stage.

And there is no time for distractions, and I am so distracted.

And all I can do about it is dance.

Also, Romy is my half‐sister.

What?

I know. I can't talk about it yet.

Wow. Okay. I'm here when you're ready to talk. (phone beeps)

Nico just replied to the Bureau. He says: 'Memories have not been restored.

Target moving to Paris.' What do I do? Do I respond?

What do I say? Would that tip him off?

I don't know! It's too much. Okay?

Nico and my dad and the competition and the Bureau! I just can't!

Yeah, I'm sorry. (sighs)

What can I do?

(horse whinnies)

(Bree) How dare you show your face around here.

My minions heard what you said about me.

Get used to it, Bree. I'm the new queen on this board.

Oh well, tell it to your boyfriend, or should I say my boyfriend.

(gasps) You wouldn't!

I already have! He's my king now. (door closes)

Oh, hi, Frank! Was it nice on the roof?

I want to go for a walk later.

Light cape weather.

How did you know I was on the roof?

My Frank tracker told me! See?

(Bree) This dot tells me where you go. And it's really handy.

And uhm, I'm not sure what this dot's for.

Let me see that.

(tracker beeps)

(ominous music)

Oh, this is bad.

Oh, that's bad, that's bad.

Oh, hey! My bracelet! (door closes)

(tuts) Rude. So rude.

Now, where were we? (laughs contentedly)

Two can play at this game. (kissing sounds)

(more kissing sounds)

(Gabrielle) Welcome back.

I trust your time in the south of France was productive.

Oh, so productive. You should see my arabesque, yo. (Lena laughs)

That was not a question, Jeffrey. It didn't require an answer.

(Gabrielle) Welcome to our new students. You can stay with Lena and Ines.

(Gabrielle) And you may stay with Jeffrey...

...and Isaac.

I'm looking forward to your performance this afternoon.

I bet you are.

I just said that I was.

I know.

I am aware that you know.

Okay, okay. Auditions at five o'clock.

Go get settled in and get focused. This could not be more important.

Okay, go, go.

This way.

(Jeff grunts)

I need to go to the brick to talk to Frank.

And I need to go see Henri.

I am going to own this place!

(sighs) I can't believe we still have to deal with her. (sighs)

(ticking clock)

(magical tinkling noise)

(Ines) Frank, it's Ines. I need your help.

Nico replied. He thinks he's talking to the Bureau. What do I do?

(Frank) Reply. But keep it simple. Something like "understood".

(key strokes beeping) Understood.

Meanwhile in 1905, turns out I'm being tracked by the Bureau.

Whoa. That's bad. What do you know?

I found a wristband. It has this dot on it that follows me wherever I go.

Hey, I'm sorry about Pinky.

Nope. Not talking about it.

I'm sorry about Thea.

(magical tinkling noise)

(Frank) It's okay, I miss her, but the tour is only a few more months.

(Frank) Unless it gets extended... again.

(Ines) Oh, that's why you stayed in 1905. You're waiting for her.

Henri!

Hey! (Lena sobs)

Hey. Are you okay?

These aren't normal "I missed you" tears. (Lena cries)

Is it the competition? You do tend to cry before a big performance.

I knew Oleg wasn't my dad, but he is my dad, you know?

And now there's Jack and Romy.

I can't believe my mother never told me any of this!

I don't understand.

Henri, everything I knew about my family is a lie. (sobs)

Hey! That's my jester.

Do not tell me you're stealing my jester role, too.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. We're together, and I really like that.

And I really like having friends.

I've tried it the other way and it's hard and lonely and I can't go back to that.

Dude, you're making no sense.

(sighs)

My whole life has been ballet.

The only thing I've ever cared about is getting the best role.

(sighs) Until now.

I really like you.

I am so sorry I ever let ballet come between us.

I don't know what I would do if we ever...

Aw! Dude!

(gasps)

I'm gonna ask Armando if you could have my role.

(Isaac) If he'd let me, I'd like to be the jester.

That is sweet, but no.

You go be the handsome dashing prince that I know you are.

Really?

(laughs) Thank you.

(Isaac) So, are we cool? Can I maybe change out of this unicorn barf?

Oh, no. You're not that forgiven. (laughs)

Oh no... Hold on, just one little touch.

Perfect. (laughs)

You can just keep it like that. (laughs)

We are very much looking forward to seeing what you've come up with.

Would Ms. Carré's group like to go first?

Of course.

(classical music plays)

(applause)

Well, thank you for that, Ms. Carré, and your team.

I guess we're up next.

Evocative, powerful and avant‐garde.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the future of ballet!

(tense classical music plays)

(applause)

Wow, dudes, Ms. Carré's piece was like...

Totally awesome. We don't stand a chance.

I was going to say super traditional and ours is super current, which gives us an edge.

Well, don't get too cocky. This could still go either way.

(clears her throat)

(company dancer) Those were two very interesting pieces.

But one really stood out as the best fit for our performance.

(company dancer) The winner is...

Ms. Carré. (giggling)

(disappointed sighs)

(Gabrielle) Thank you for your decision.

Congratulations, Ms. Carré.

It's an honor for us all.

Everyone, don't be disappointed, it was a...

a beautiful performance of some very creative choreography.

Okay. So, obviously that decision wasn't what we hoped for.

However, you should still all be very proud.

(Lena) Mr. Castillo, I'm so sorry.

This is my fault, I was a bit distracted.

No, no, no. No. We are a team.

We own our wins and our losses together. Excuse me. (clears his throat)

(Jeff) Wow, that pep talk was a gigantic disaster.

Yeah. Almost as big as when I stole your part, and we still lost anyway.

Hm. Now that you mention it, this whole thing is all your fault.

(laughs) Okay, I'm kidding. Okay.

I just can't believe the company's so closed‐minded.

I know. Our piece was so cool. (phone beeps)

Nico's just replied. He's asking for his next orders. I've got to tell Frank.

Okay, let me come with you. Lena!

Jack?

Who's this?

Guys, uh... This is m‐my dad.

And he's also Romy's dad.

(both) What?

Jack, this is Isaac, Jeff and Ines.

Hi.

Uhm... We're just gonna...

(Ines) Yeah, I'll catch you later.

(both) Hi.

Uhm. This is a little embarrassing.

Romy and I are in Paris for the CJ show and I caught your audition at the Garnier.

(Jack) I was so impressed.

I wanted to bring you these.

(gasps)

You were amazing.

Thank you, they're beautiful.

(Jack) Hey, so I know this dad stuff doesn't just click into place.

I missed a lot of your life.

Yeah. (sighs)

I just wanted you to know that when your mum left,

she was doing it for a good reason.

Someone was after us. Well, after you.

After me?

Yes. You're special.

Obviously, you're special to me, but...

you're also special in some kind of time travel way that I don't really understand.

What do you mean? What kind of special?

I don't know. But Alex did, from the first moment she saw you.

She said she could protect you if she took you back to the past.

It killed me not to go with you, but I could have tipped off the people who were looking for you.

I couldn't live with myself if I put you in danger. So, I stayed.

(chuckles) Your mother and I were gonna tell you everything when you turned eighteen,

but you just beat us to it.

Is... is there anything else you want to know?

Alex didn't tell me a lot about time travel, but I'll do my best.

I don't know. I've had a pretty tough day and I don't think I can handle anything else.

Fair enough.

In that case, what if I told you about some of my failures? The big ones.

Failures so big you could... you could see them from space.

(laughs) Well, I guess that would be a good place to start. (sighs)

(Ines) Nico replied asking for his next set of orders.

(Ines) We could tell him anything and he should do it, right?

(Frank) What are you thinking? (Ines) Stall him, at least for now.

Is there a Bureau way to say 'take a chill pill' or something?

(laughs)

There is, actually: WFFI. It's a Bureau acronym.

(Frank) Wait For Further Instructions.

(key strokes beeping)

(phone beeps)

(Ines reads) 'Understood. As soon as I figure out who I'm talking to first.'

(Ines) Frank, he's on to us What do we do ? (ominous music)
