One of my scariest nightmares
that we are about to relive.

So, let's watch, um,
a really dark investigation

that happened here
in our hometown, las vegas.

Sin city exorcism?
Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah, there's a lot
to talk about.

Yeah. This investigation
dealt with death,

destruction,
and suffering.

Uh, and we had to
respond to the call.

As emotional as it was,
how terrifying it was,

I liked the way
that we presented it.

Mm-hmm.
Sensitive story.
Yeah.

we're in las vegas, nevada.
Our hometown --

at least for billy,
aaron, and myself.

And there is this guy
named anthony.

When I ran into him, you guys,
he told me that his mother died

in his arms
a couple months ago.

How did you meet
anthony?

I met anthony when I was
doing some work for the nspca.

That's right.
The, uh, no-kill shelter.

Great guy.
Nothing wrong with him.
Yeah.

He was doing great work
for a -- for a great cause.

Then I saw him
couple years later.

Different dude?
He was
a whole different guy.

Wow.
Oh.

And then
he took me aside,

right when we were
filming something.

And he looked at me and he said,
"zak, I need your help."

oh, man.
"I need your help."

and we were scheduled
to do another investigation

I think that next week.
I canceled it.
Yeah, I remember you --

I remember that.
You changed it.

We went to him.
Right.

And I didn't know
the scope of

how serious
the story was.

Oh, man.

Here's
the chilling part.

His mother believes that she
was possessed by a demon

right before her death.

This guy and his family

are in a crisis situation
of life and death.

-Hey, what's up?
-How are you doing?

-What's going on, anthony?
-Come in.

I want you to tell me exactly
what happened with your mother.

Okay. Um...

She got sick on her birthday,
which was July 14.

And, uh, throughout the year,
she's been really, like, sick.

Since we moved into this house,
for the last seven years,

she's gotten really sick
around her birthday.

And then this year,
she got really, really sick,

and she died
right in this corner.

She died right --
right here?
Yeah.

I had no idea how disturbing
and emotional this situation

was until we got to his house
and he started talking to me

and told me what happened
in that living room.

I mean, this isn't
a guy just telling me,

"yeah, I see shadows
and I get claw marks on me."

this is a guy who just told me
his mother died in his arms.

While she was sick,
was she ever telling you

or acting in ways
that you believed her

to...Be influenced
by a demon or something?

Yeah, she was influenced
by a demon. I know she was.

At 6:00 in the morning,
we were sitting here talking,

and she kept asking me
to look her in the eyes.

And I couldn't.

But she told me --
she was laying here

and she was
making no sense.

She was throwing up
this black stuff --

and it was like
this gooey black stuff.

And she said she made
a deal with the aliens.

We used to
call demons "aliens."

she said "I made a deal with
the aliens, and now I'm scared

because now they're
coming to take me."

witness her death?

Yeah, I held her in my hands
when she took her last breaths.

[ sighs ]
and when I tried
to turn her over to...

Whoa. That's --
this makes me sad.

This -- this is bringing
emotions back to me right now.

I just can't imagine him

just sharing this

You don't know what your
neighbors are going through,

the people
that you just wave to.

You don't know
their struggles.

that you're the only one

that has problems in life.

And nowadays no one gets to

so no one ever knows.

It's kind of like

everyone just
keeps to themselves.

It was scary.
I felt so helpless.

And, like, it's --
when I'm here alone,

or just how mad I get
over little things,

I feel like I'm gonna
hurt somebody or myself.

I knew these people
were in trouble.

I knew that these people were
in desperate need of help,

and that this could turn
really, really bad.

Zak: So you're anthony's
girlfriend.

How long have you
been with him for?

I've been with anthony on
and off for about 6 years.

What is it like
being here now?

I'm always depressed.
You're always depressed?

And I don't -- I don't even know
how to really explain it.

It just feels weird.

It doesn't feel like
I'm supposed to be here.
Mm-hmm.

There's something
that doesn't want me here.

So why don't you

Because I want to stay
with anthony.

how heavy it felt.

Me and my stepdad
talked about it,

and he said, "anthony,
I think that morning

that your mom died,
something killed her."

he goes, "so, whatever it is,
is trying to kill you, too."

He does not want

But he -- he doesn't
express his beliefs

in spiritual, demonic
things.

And when he told me that,
it kind of scared me.

Now, you got to remember,
he's doing this

right after his mother died
in that living room...

...After vomiting
black liquid,

and, from what he said,
being demonically possessed.

Wasn't it, like,
only 3 months or something?

Yeah, it was
quick after.
It was very,
very recent, right?

When we went there?

kind of thing to happen.

This investigation
could be the script

for one of the most terrifying

investigation comes to a close,

anthony pulls me aside.

When I just left in there,

it felt like my brain
was being twisted...

and it's scaring me.

but it's affecting you.

on the outside of the curtain.

I would freak out.

And when I opened it,
she was gone.

the same girl in white

that anthony also saw in the --
in the mom's bedroom.

Right? All the time.

that is?

Is that just a representation
of the woman, or...?

It could be
a representation, yeah.

The next thing, the demons are
gonna show show themselves

in any way to get you
to feel comfortable.

A child, a woman,
whatever.

Or the typical
lady in white.

It's, like, oh it's a lost love
spirit or something.

thoughts as your brother does

about a demon influencing
the death of your mother?

By the way she acted.

The things she said
before she died, so...

The way that she acted?

She'd go
from perfectly fine

to all of a sudden,
like, angry --

like, flipping out
about nothing.

Do you remember
a boyfriend that she had

that was doing satanism?
Yeah, that was my dad.

That was your dad?

That was your father?

He wasn't normal.

That's when
things changed.

Zak: This is something
I had no idea about

until this interview.

They started talking about

their father
doing dark rituals...

Billy: With candles.
...And she tells us
that she remembers

seeing an old video

of her seeing her father
doing a ritual.

And then she says this.

One time, one of
my mom's cats got pregnant,

and he cut the cat open

for a fact?

He also broke two
of my mom's dogs' necks

and put them in the trash can
in the backyard,

and my mom found them.

Zak: And this would be
about the time

when your mother
started acting really strange?

Mm-hmm.

-That's dark.

This made all the sense.

Aaron: Yeah.
This is where...

The puzzle pieces
were coming together.
Right.

That's what
invited it in.

[ clears throat ] our interview
just ended with, uh --

with the two sisters.

And after
the cameras cut,

you all continued to talk
with her for a good 20 minutes.

Uh, yes. And she told us
that the remains of the mother,

they're still
in the house.

Oh, my gosh.
Mary: Yeah,
you didn't know that?

Are you kidding?

That's gonna
keep going, though.

Yeah. And to know
that anthony's mom

died under
those circumstances,

and anthony said
she was possessed,

they still had
his mother's ashes in the hall.

Like you said, you couldn't
have written a story

more darker
than this.

I think that the father,
who is still alive

and most likely
still practicing occult --

dark occult practices...

This guy,

who apparently was forcing her
to do these rituals with him,

conjured up some kind of
a very powerful demon,

'cause obviously, he was
under an influence...

...Of a demonic entity.

And this is what
introduced the possession,

I believe, that ultimately,
as anthony said, killed her.

and the walls were shaking,
and they yelled for me.

And I ran in there,
and I said,

"whatever's in here
doesn't like you guys."

and then I put my hand
on the wall,

and everything stopped.

Just the discovery of the ashes
alone, w-was that really --

how many times now
have we learned

that we go to
these cases,

these homes that have
this demonic attachment

and we're trying
to figure out why,

what's causing it,
why is it still here?

And we keep finding
human remains?

to get to it,

a perfect example

of how he's getting affected
because of this,

but how many times
on investigations

Spirits cause your body to do
something you can't control.

It can cause pain

For anthony,
unfortunately,

the battle's been
taking place inside of him.

how to accept that.

He's trying to reject it.
It's unfamiliar sensation.

It's scary

you're fighting
an enemy you can't see.

where it is.

Like, it's inside of you
sometimes.

Like, that's terrifying.

but I'm being led
to the mother's bedroom,

which they keep
locked and sealed

because of all the dark entities
that remain inside.

And this is when
I made the decision

that I'm --
I'm breaking the seal.

I'm going in
the mother's bedroom,

and nobody knows about it.

I don't know
if his mother's spirit

is being held captive
in that room by these demons.

Then when we did --
when you opened that door, zak,

that's when
it got released.

I'm gonna give you

it just wasn't safe

and little did we know,

it was gonna get even worse

and for her.

This is the moment where,

And that's what it was like
going in that room,

because he was experiencing
all the pain.

I remember,
I was out here for this

and you guys
were inside the house.

That whole feeling
came out into the garage.

It felt like
the closer and closer

we were getting
into that room,

the more and more pain
he was feeling.
Yeah.

This has happened
a couple of times

where, like,
we've split up now,

and while bishop ryan
and sister mary

are doing one thing,
it's affecting...

...Inside the house.
