It depends on your performance.

Early tomorrow morning,

we'll go back to the capital.

Have you got any information from the capital?

His Majesty has called me back to practice in the Six Ministries.

He plans to send me to the Ministry of Personnel.

The Ministry of Personnel is influential.

I can't believe His Majesty wants to send you there.

I want to practice in the Ministry of Works.

All emperors from the past dynasties

expected their sons to become talented

but also feared they might be too powerful.

Under the contradictory requirements,

any ambitious prince

would live a furtive life.

What's up?

Fine! I won't talk about the imperial family randomly.

I think

you do make a point.

Before His Majesty ascended the throne,

he also lived in fear.

So it appears that

His Majesty has treated his sons with leniency.

Right.

The second prince has practiced in the Six Ministries for a long time

and he's been moderately given some tasks to handle.

Compared to the late emperor,

His Majesty is quite lenient.

His Majesty also prevailed over all dissenting views

to send me to practice in the western territory.

He sort of took the risk.

Right.

After all, in history,

there were so many impatient princes

who raised an army to rise in rebellion.

To others, His Majesty

does seem to have a big heart.

Since the two countries are plotting to dispatch troops,

should we inform the western territory and the northern territory in advance?

No need.

Though His Majesty is narrow-minded,

he's always decisive in terms of imperial court and military matters.

I just worry that he might hide it

in order to weaken the military power of the Chu family or the Han family.

So we shouldn't inform them

for fear that we might get his attention.

Exactly.

During his rule for 20 years,

His Majesty is kind to his subjects.

Lin Baozi,

you're really bold.

Only a few dare to

talk to His Highness like that.

I'm just a doctor.

I'm all alone

with no relatives left.

What to be afraid of?

You've still got a master

who can be counted as your relative.

Since you've found that out,

why do you still keep me by your side?

It's been 60 years.

There're no remaining enemies from the previous dynasty,

but subjects of the State of Chen.

Your master practices medicine and saves people's lives. He's open and aboveboard.

There is no need to hide his true identity.

Your Highness, thank you for your leniency.

Rise.

You're used to traveling.

If you want to be a roving doctor,

it's up to you.

I just thanked you on behalf of my master.

As to me,

I really haven't made up my mind yet.

Lin Baozi,

you're bold, indeed.

I've never seen someone

who dares to bargain with His Highness.

My Lord, I'm flattered.

Haven't you bargained with me a lot in daily lives?

Your Highness,

I'm always at you back and call, aren't I?

Don't you know

the answer?

I'm slow-witted.

Your Highness, please forgive me.

Slow-witted?

Do you believe that yourself?

Your Highness, you're sharp-eyed and clear-headed.

Seeing me hiding my weak points in daily lives,

you must have laughed at me for a long time.

Why would I laugh at you?

I'm just afraid that too much burden

might break you down.

I see.

There is only one room.

Your Highness,

you and His Lord should sleep in this room.

Xinting and I will sleep outside.

I won't sleep in the same room with Han Shiyi.

He snores and grinds his teeth when sleeping.

I'll sleep with you.

Right! Right!

Or I may find a topic to chat with him.

After he falls asleep,

Your Highness,

you were born in the Imperial Palace

with servants taking care of you.

How come you are such a good cook?

When I was little,

I practiced in the military camp in the western territory.

I didn't have any assistant back then,

so I learnt it step by step.

His Highness lost his mother when he was little

and grew up alone in the western territory.

It must've been really hard for him.

If he can have a virtuous wife,

he'll be much happier.

Your Highness,

don't worry.

With me by your side,

Thank you.

Your Highness,

which type of girl you like.

I like someone who has many shortcomings,

who's rude, unreasonable,

naughty,

and petulant,

and who especially loves to lie.

So you like someone who loves to lie.

Right.

She lied and told me that she can't practice martial arts,

and she didn't try to save herself

when she fell off the tree.

She said that

she knew nothing about writing or calligraphy,

and she made fun of me in class on purpose.

She said that she's a man,

and I even thought I am...

Your Highness,

what a bad girl she is!

I don't know anyone like that, nor can I find someone like that.

You'd better change your type.

Because of this bad girl,

I find my whole world brighter.
