"Dance of the Phoenix"

Episode 12

Your Majesty, you're always kind-hearted.

Could you help me find a detoxification elixir

in Junwu Divine Hall?

I will do my best

to repay your great kindness.

It seems that

you attach great importance to your Junior Sister

You misunderstood.

I'm Senior Sister of Celestial Palace.

It is my duty to look after other sisters.

After she went to the capital,

we have less contact.

I'm also interested in this poison,

so...

It's a pity

that there are indeed a lot of treasured elixirs

in Junwu Divine Hall.

But this poison is really rare

and there is no cure for it.

I'm sorry for disturbing you

in this case.

Why don't you go to Peerless Tower to ask?

They are rumored to have a treasure.

I knew.

I have considered before.

But it is rumored that those who fail to break through Peerless Tower

will lose their entire cultivation base.

So I dare not go rashly.

This is true.

But there is nothing in this world

that can be easily obtained

without paying any price.

How to choose

depends on your own choice.

Peerless Tower

Peerless Tower

Why are you here?

I have been with you for a long time.

Didn't you find out?

With your acumen,

you are really unqualified for a medium-rank spiritual practitioner.

It's none of your business.

Follow me.

Why? Where are you going?

Why did you bring me here?

Don't you live in the Feng family uncomfortably?

I want to build a house for you here.

No, thanks. This is so troublesome.

Not at all. Just right here.

I have chosen.

I will prepare some necessary items

and clothing for you.

You can live here anytime.

You can tell me whatever you want.

I will have someone bought it for you.

Madam and Qiu Ling can also come with you.

No need.

I...

Why do you give me a house

without a reason?

Besides,

did I say that I wanted to live in the capital for a long time?

I wouldn't be here

if you hadn't

tricked my mom over.

I did these

because you live uncomfortably in the Feng family.

You are sometimes friendly to me

and sometimes indifferent to me.

What on earth do you want?

I,

I just think

it is a bit too fast between us.

Why?

You are my Spiritual Princess.

You should stay with me more.

What are you talking about?

When did I promise you?

You regret it.

Not really.

I really like you,

but I didn't mean to be

your wife right now.

You didn't ask me

and made a decision without authorization.

I understand that

Spiritual Princess is just a virtual title for you.

You are so eclectic.

You don't care at all, right?

I didn't mean that.

You...

Didn't you mean that?

I...

Anyway, I just don't want it.

Don't you understand my mind?

Yes, I do.

But how can I

make you understand my mind?

Peerless Tower

It is rumored that the famous Peerless Tower in the capital

was built by miraculous persons

from outside Qianyuan Continent.

Peerless Tower There are four barriers,

and each barrier is guarded by a different gatekeeper.

Although Quatrain,

the gatekeeper of the first barrier,

is a cultivator,

he is more like a poet.

Small. Small. Big. Big.

Stop. Open.

Greediness,

the gatekeeper of the second barrier,

is best at insight into people's mind.

Today I will take out my money.

You can win my money

with your skill.

Come on. Bet.

Bet. Bet.

Come on. Bet. All-in.

Big. Big.

However, his hearing is even better.

Big. Big. Open. Open.

Open.

The gatekeeper of the third barrier

is Shadow Swordsman.

The One-strike Drawing Chop is his stunt.

He looks like a ruthless character.

As for the last barrier of Peerless Tower,

it is said that

no one knows

what the challenge is.

Why is there no information

on the last barrier of Peerless Tower?

I like you so much,

stewed pork with brown sauce cooked by Wu.

The information on the last barrier is missing.

If I'm rushing in,

I'm afraid the winning rate is lower.

Moreover, the book says that

breaking through Peerless Tower is a matter of life and death.

If I succeed,

my spirit energy may be up to the next rank.

If I fail,

it will be a waste of cultivation base.

That poker face is Crown Prince of the capital.

What would he say

if I ask him?

What are you going to do in Peerless Tower?

That kind of place

is not something

a spiritual practitioner like you can get through.

It's too hard.

You're here.

I have something to tell you.

Did you ask me out today

because you changed your mind?

I...

I hope you can go to Junwu Academy.

Junwu Academy?

There are rules in Junwu Clan.

All women who have not reached the senior-rank spiritual practitioner or above

are not eligible to participate in the selection of Spiritual Princess.

I know you lost all your spirit energy before.

Now you have finally reached the medium rank.

But...

I also know that

it is not easy for you

to reach a high rank in such a short time.

After all,

you still think I'm not worthy of you.

I definitely don't mean that.

Her Majesty

has put my marriage on the agenda in front of His Majesty.

I hope I can restore your reputation quickly.

Her Majesty thinks I am not worthy of you.

Who did she propose?

Zuo Qingluan?

What she thinks doesn't matter.

What matters is who I want.

I really don't understand

your thoughts.

Why do you

want to be with me?

I'm too stupid.

Why should I ask you to come here?

Don't you have something to tell me?

I want to say that

I also want to quickly improve my spirit energy

and become a senior-rank spiritual practitioner,

but I have my own plans

and don't need you to tell me how to do it.

I will decide my own life

by myself.

I was really out of mind

and actually wanted to ask him for help.

He said he liked me?

It is just sweet words.

You...

What's wrong, Little Fairy?

Who bullied you?

Today I am not in a good mood.

Don't follow me.

You lied to and tricked me boldly

before.

Aren't you ashamed?

Fine.

I have offended Darknight Court

and acted recklessly.

Anyway, I might lose all my spirit energy tomorrow.

You might as well kill me now

and sacrifice me to your lord.

Are you interested in Peerless Tower?

You know again?

Actually, I'm a mind reader.

I have actually researched Peerless Tower.

As the young master of Darknight Court,

there's really no need to challenge them

and let them get related to my fame,

otherwise I would also have a try.

Then guess

what I want to eat tonight.

Forget about it. Leave me alone.

I can really help you.

Three Days Later

Peerless Tower

My Lady,

it's dangerous inside.

Are you really going to take such a big risk?

Whether I remember it or not,

she is my good friend.

What's more,

Zhao Ge was poisoned because of me.

I see.

Feng Wu,

be careful not to get hurt.

Wu,

you really don't have to do it for me.

I will come out safely with it.

Rest assured.

Hit the stone drum first before you can enter.

How can I hit the stone drum?

Where is the drumstick?

Wu, use your spirit energy.

I didn't get it sounded in the past,

so I didn't even get the qualification.

The 1037th challenger

comes to challenge.

What sound?

Feng Wu, concentrate.

Either fight

or let me go.

Don't be wordy.

Your temper

is unique

even in the capital.

How can you let me pass?

Take it easy.

Take it easy.

Since I am known as Quatrain,

I'm naturally best at couplets.

Since you came to Peerless Tower today,

I just want to consult you about it.

You're giving me a hard time.

Feng Wu

doesn't look very smart.

Isn't this making things difficult?

Shut up.

I mean

you are deliberately making things difficult for me.

If you must pay attention to level and oblique tones and rhymes,

it is really difficult.

You only need to be correct in the number of words

and the meaning is novel

before you pass.

Yi River, Luo River and Qingshui River all run to the sea.

Miss, please give me your answer.

Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division decide the universe.

You really have a strange idea.

But I don't understand

what addition is,

what subtraction is,

and what multiplication and division are.

You won't understand even if I tell you.

Anyway, I follow the rules.

Isn't that enough?

Let me go on.

Black is impermanent and white is impermanent.

Between black and white, white speaks of Yin and Yang and reincarnation.

The proposition is false and the proposition is true.

Amid the false and the true, the true shows the geometry of life.

What does it mean?

Master, let me pass.

Take it easy.

Let me give you some advice.

The road ahead is dangerous.

Please don't go up anymore.

Thanks for reminding.

But I still have to go.

Is the treasure in the world

really more important than life?

The treasure is not important.

Since I've promised my friend,

I will do it naturally.

In that case,

please raise a question.

The law of sines and the law of cosines

set your mind and tell you the truth.

Congratulations!

You pass.

This place is spooky.

Be careful.

I see.

Can't you see me?

But I can see you.

Little girl,

can't you use your spirit energy?

Guess

where I am

in darkness.

Shut up.

I can see your every move clearly.

How is it?

Do you dare to challenge?

Greediness,

it is said that your hearing is several times better than that of ordinary people.

Not bad, little girl.

You know how strong I am. How dare you come and challenge?

I am not only brave.

I will let you know my skills.

Don't talk big.

Boss Jun,

you seem to be very ruthless today.

You're usually lazy.

What if you are facing a powerful enemy?

Bad news. Bad news. Feng Wu is in danger.

You take advantage of my distraction.

Don't fight. Don't fight.

You two, stop.

I went to Feng's Mansion this morning

and they said Feng Wu was not there.

After inquiring,

I knew she had gone to Peerless Tower.

Peerless Tower?

Isn't that a place where no one can get through?

Indeed.

Why did she have to

go to that place to suffer?

Leave her alone.

If I act rashly,

I will only annoy her.

What's that harsh sound?

Peerless Tower

Senior Sister.

I'm passing by.

I just come and see the situation.

Your craft is not good either.

Is this useful?

Of course.

You should make use of

his good hearing

to cause him the greatest damage.

The Ear-piercing Bird is quite powerful.

It seems

she has passed the first challenge.

Pass.

Stop it.

You've passed.

Thanks.

Madam,

how about having a rest

in the tea house nearby with Qiu Ling?

I'll be waiting here.

Or you will be exhausted

when Feng Wu comes out later.

Madam,

my master let me send you this.

Please sit down.

It's her again.

Who is your master?

My master is Young Lady Feng Wu's husband.

I made a mistake.

My master means

he will be Young Lady Feng Wu's husband sooner or later.

Madam, please excuse our leaving.

Madam, let me help you sit down.

Senior Sister, come over to sit down.

You take the seat.

Do you know when

you should coax

or stay away from a girl?

Cultivators who have gone through Peerless Tower

are badly injured or dead.

Feng Wu is a medium-rank spiritual practitioner.

What if she's bullied?

And,

I saw Yu Mingye

was with Feng Wu yesterday.

Someone may regret later.

Taking challenges in Peerless Tower is not a small matter.

Boss Jun,

are you really going to leave her alone?

What did you say to her?

It's known to all that

people who take challenges in Peerless Tower

will greatly improve their spirit energy or lose their cultivation base.

Why does Feng Wu take such a big risk?

Does it have anything to do with you?

What's this?

It's secret weapon of Darknight Court,

Black Jade Sleeve Arrow.

Why do you give me this?

It won't be difficult for you

to pass the first two challenges

with my tips.

But in the third challenge,

Shadow Swordsman is enigmatic.

No one has ever seen him pull out all the stops.

If you really can't defeat him,

you may use Black Jade Sleeve Arrow.

It can help you win.

If you hesitate a little bit,

you will definitely lose.

It seems you haven't known

what you want yet.

You knew I'd deal with you by arrow.

I'm very interested in you.

Don't let me down.

There's no rule in this challenge.

Just do your best.

I will.

Drawing Chop.

Feng Wu,

this man is different from previous ones.

He's at a much higher level.

Peerless Tower

Young Master, Lord Demon wants to meet you.

Okay.

I know.

It's said that Peerless Tower

was built by an extremely wealthy merchant.

At the top of the tower, there are two precious treasures.

One is Heavenly Heart Pistil which can antidote all poisons in the world.

The other is

Qinglingsan Score

pursued by refined scholars.

But it's strange that

no one has finished

all the challenges in the tower in nearly 30 years.

Doesn't anyone know

the last challenge of Peerless Tower?

I know.

Someone

may know.

Who?

Min Zhongqing, the fourth son of the Min family.

Min Zhongqing?

Do you know him?

I met him once years ago.

The Min family is not a big clan in the capital.

But Min Zhongqing is a man of integrity

who works hard.

He has become a high-rank spiritual practitioner at 20.

That's not what I've heard.

After he got out of Peerless Tower,

he was like a different person.

He was dissipated,

which delayed his cultivation.

He was slow in action

and too weak to practice.

Besides, he couldn't gather his spirit energy.

He's a wreck now.

What a pity.

But it's said that

he passed the third challenge

in Peerless Tower.

You two wait outside Peerless Tower.

Act flexibly when something happens.

What about you?

I'm going to meet Min Zhongqing.

Peerless Tower

Why hasn't Wu come out yet?

Did she

meet with any danger?

Only challenger is allowed.

Just let me go in.

Feng Wu has been inside for long.

I need to go to have a look.

Junior Sister,

Peerless Tower has its own rule.

Don't break it.

Feng Wu took the risk for me.

I can't let her face dangers alone.

No.

If something bad happens to you,

Master will be worried.

Senior Sister,

just leave me alone.

No one in Celestial Palace cares about me anyway.

It was hard for me to reconnect with Wu.

I can't put her in danger.

-Stop! -Zhao Ge.

Or I'll be rude to you!

You...

Stop.

Mr. Xuan Yi, Young Master Feng.

Don't act rashly.

There's no big noise in the tower now.

And Feng Wu hasn't come out.

It means that she's safe now.

If you break in rashly,

it may cause big trouble.

It's you.

Don't worry.

She will be fine.

After all,

he will not watch her being in danger.

Do you mean His Highness Jun?

Of course.

By your skills,

you can save many people

if you fight with demonic beast.

I couldn't even save my beloved.

Don't talk about great love with me.

Why did you cultivate yourself?

Who are wielding your sword for?

The world is big.

Why do you want to spend a lifetime

in this narrow Peerless Tower?

Feng Wu, do it now.

You said you'd lose once you hesitate.

No matter what you stay here for,

I have my own reason

for passing through here.

Why didn't you kill me just now?

I'm here to take challenges.

I have no grudge against you.

Why should I kill you?

Good.

Good.

It's been a long time since I saw such a good fight.

Who are you?

I'm the owner of Peerless Tower,

as well as the last gatekeeper.

Come on. Catch me.

Stop running.

I will punish you when I catch you.

Mr. Min.

Come on.

Come on. Catch me.

Go on.

Where are you?

Where are you?

I've caught you!

Who are you?

How did you get in?

I want to talk to you.

I don't want to talk.

You sneaked in

and ruined my mood.

You're provoking the wrong person.

Do you know who I am?

I'm the fourth son of the Min family,

who retreated intact from Peerless Tower.

Tell me.

What's the secret of

the fourth challenge in Peerless Tower?

So,

as long as I defeat you,

I will succeed.

Yes,

but I don't think it's necessary.

What do you mean?

You're awesome enough

to reach here.

Take all these and go down the tower.

I don't want these things.

I want Heavenly Heart Pistil,

one of the precious treasures in the tower.

Miss,

take these things and leave.

The man in front of you

is hard to deal with.

Shadow Swordsman is smart.

He's right.

Stop while you're at it.

The reputation of Peerless Tower in decades

can't be lost.

What on earth do you mean?

Don't kill me. Don't...

I'll tell you.

Please spare me.

The challenges in Peerless Tower

are just bluffs.

They don't intend to let anyone make it.

The fourth challenge

is about human nature.

You gave up in the fourth challenge

in exchange for

the things

you are splurging now.

As a cultivator, you actually did such things.

As a member of Junwu Clan,

I feel ashamed of you.

Put it simply,

if no one succeeds in

finishing all challenges in Peerless Tower,

it can keep its popularity,

so I can earn more money.

Peerless Tower is actually such a hypocritical place.

Little girl, just stop here.

Take the gold and silver and keep your mouth shut.

You will be wealthy.

Or...

Or what?

Or you won't be able to leave.

This is Heart-eroding Maze aimed at you.

Lower your head.

You should give up now.

I only want Heavenly Heart Pistil.

I'll leave as long as

I get it.
