Since King Peng Cheng has woken up,

and thing has come to this far,

it's more appropriate to let the Judicial Office

handle this matter.

I believe that the truth

will be revealed soon.

Take away.

Your Highness, let's go.

Senior.

He is protecting us

Brother Xun.

Come.

Brother Xun.

Brother Xun.

What are you doing?

I made the

nerve-calming incense myself

and send it over personally.

You are the only one who has been in contact with the incense.

You are the one who poisoned King Peng Cheng.

It's you, right?

Waner, I believe in you.

But this matter is related to the Supervisor of Politics.

Lige will find out it's your doing sooner or later.

Tell me,

why do you want to help Madam Sun

to poison King Peng Cheng?

No.

I didn't poison His Highness.

For the welfare of the people

and the peace of Song,

King Peng Cheng

has put in so much effort and worked so hard.

You don't hesitate to use me,

and even use Madam Sun

to frame King Peng Cheng.

The Song of Glory

I...

Is it really worth it?

No.

I don't know.

Episode 51

I really didn't poison.

I didn't.

I really didn't.

I don't know who did it.

I don't know.

I don't know. It's not me.

Waner.

Brother Xun, please believe me.

Waner, tell me.

Who instructed you to poison?

Xin Yin Grass.

Who gave you Xin Yin Grass?

Tell me,

so that I can help you

and save King Peng Cheng.

I don't know.

Tell me.

I really don't know.

I can really help you.

I can save you.

Vermilion Bird Alliance.

Brother Xun.

Don't hurt him.

Waner.

The leader has said

useless people won't be spared.

Keep moving on.

Be sensible.

Step aside.

I will kill her if you move.

Take away.

We'll kill him if you meddle in this.

Let go of him!

King Peng Cheng,

on the day of the incident took place,

what had happened?

Please tell us the truth.

If there is a hidden secret,

please split it out sooner

so that your suspicion can be cleared sooner.

If this continues,

Your Highness will be put in a more unfavourable position.

I won't say one more word.

Ask King Jing Ling come to see me.

King Jing Ling has led men

to King Peng Cheng's mansion

to search for evidence.

His Highness said he doesn't want to see you.

Your Highness, the Judicial Office solves cases according to law.

Your Highness, please don't put me in a difficult position.

Your Highness, do you need

any help from me?

Please say it.

I just want to see my Sixth Brother again.

All right.

I'll do my best.

Don't miss a single corner.

Yes.

What are you doing?

Stop it!

Don't stop!

King Jing Ling,

this is King Peng Cheng's mansion.

How dare you search here?

He's just a prisoner now,

a murderer.

He isn't.

I believe in him.

Why?

Why do all of you

side with him and believe in him?

My mother is the victim.

Your Highness, please calm down.

From Madam Sun colluded with Lu Yuan,

till I was being confined,

I never believed in her again.

Enough.

How could I calm down now?

Has anyone of you ever thought about my feelings?

I watched him stabbed my mother's chest

with a dagger.

The two closest people of mine

were right in front of me...

Your Highness, listen to me.

This matter...

Your Highness, there are two letters here.

Your Highness.

Letter from Madam Sun

Letter from Madam Sun

Take a look.

Take a look.

Both witness and evidence are collected.

What else do you want to say?

Your Highness.

Let's go. Retreat!

Retreat.

King Jing Ling.

King Jing Ling's mansion.

Your Highness, please stop drinking.

Bring wine over.

Your Highness.

Bring wine over.

Miss Waner.

What's wrong with His Highness?

Today, in King Peng Cheng's mansion,

letters written by Madam Sun to King Peng Cheng

have been found.

It turns out that it's been a long time since King Peng Cheng

guarded against His Highness.

It's a pity that His Highness

values familial love the most.

But in the eyes of King Peng Cheng,

family

is just someone can be hurt.

Liu Yikang, I'm as blind as a bat.

I couldn't find out

your true colours earlier.

You killed my mother.

If I don't condemn you to death this time,

I will never give up!

I will never give up.

I've been staying by His Highness's side for so many years.

I have never seen His Highness

is so sad and helpless.

Although now,

King Peng Cheng can be sanctioned...

A good family

has come to this far,

how could His Highness

be happy?

Yes.

Today's King Jing Ling

is not the old King Jing Ling

who lived freely any more.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Your Highness, get up.

Your Highness, get up.

Go away.

Your Highness. Wine. I want wine

I want to drink.

Bring wine over.

I want to drink.

I want to drink.

Bring wine over.

Concubine Li.

How is it?

Just now, King Jing Ling and his men

found two letters here.

It seems to be an unfavourable evidence

to His Highness.

Since someone has set up a trap,

it's not surprise that

they could find evidence here.

His Highness is at the Judicial Office now.

At least he is safe.

We still have time.

Sanbao, where is my senior?

Has he returned to San Jiu Tang?

Is there any news from him?

Physician Chen did not return to San Jiu Tang.

I asked the attendants in the house.

They said they saw Physician Chen

left in the early morning.

Where would he go

at such critical time?

Concubine Li,

what to do now?

I want to be alone for a while.

You may go out first.

There must be a way.

In a day,

Fourth Brother got poisoned,

Madam Sun's dead,

the brothers fall out,

Fourth Brother's imprisoned.

And now, senior has disappeared.

Who is the mastermind behind all this?

Why do I fell like

he is around us?

He knows every move of ours.

What is his purpose?

You have been planning everything behind.

Who are you?

What's the relationship

between you and my master s well as Vermilion Bird Alliance?

It's you.

It's you.

It's you.

You have been planning everything behind.

You have been using Lu Wan

to frame King Peng Cheng and the Shen family.

It's a pity that

she's disobedient.

It seems

she has really fallen for

King Jing Ling.

You manipulate the Vermilion Bird Alliance

and even don't hesitate to commit serious sins,

what is it for?

Since you're going to die,

why asking so much?

Young lady.

My father hasn't come back yet?

Young lady, don't worry.

Master's busy with King Peng Cheng's murder case

since the early morning.

Now, he should be

disussing a solution

with the ministers.

All right.

Tell me if there's any news immediately.

Yes.

Mother.

Feng.

Why are you here?

I know that

you are used to

deal with problems alone,

and endure things alone.

But I want to

remind you all the time that

you're never alone.

You still have family.

You have our support.

Don't be afraid.

Don't panic.

Calm down

and you will think of a way.

Yes, sister.

Sister-in-law went to find Imperial Secretariat

to ask for his help.

As long as we work together,

we must be able to find

a solution.

Sister,

just tell us

if you need any help.

Mother.

Feng.

We've gone through

so much along this way.

We've gone through so many hardships.

We've seen everything,

we've solved all the obstacles,

Since I have your trust,

I am not afraid of anything.

And Fourth Brother,

in order to protect me

and buy time for me,

he's even willing to step into trap.

I can't

disappoint him.

I will keep my chin up

to find the flaw of the trap.

Sister, what is your

next plan?

Senior

has disappeared when he just started

investigating Xin Yin Grass.

This is too strange.

Your Highness.

Even Master Wang comes to

plead for King Peng Cheng.

All right.

I visited King Peng Cheng

in the prison.

Did he admit his crime?

He didn't say anything.

But he said he wants to see King Jing Ling.

Now, we have solid evidence in hands.

No matter he admits it or not,

it will still be useless.

After all, King Peng Cheng is the Supervisor of Politics.

We can't underestimate his power.

Even the emperor

trusts him very much.

Does it mean that he can ignore the law?

What I worry about is

it's not trivial to judge the Supervisor of Politics.

Moreover,

Madam Sun

was a sinful commoner.

The emperor's decision isn't known yet.

It's really difficult to weigh.

The Minister of Justice and I

are really in a difficult position.

The emperor trusted him

and granted him a high position.

I thought he's a loyal and filial person.

But now,

he killed my mother.

How could such an unfaithful and unfilial person

be spared and occupied a high position?

The emperor always said that

a ruler makes decision according to the law,

but not feelings, power and relations.

Now, we have solid evidence in hands.

I believe that

the emperor will make a wise judgment.

But Your Highness...

Stop talking about it.

I've made up my mind.

Master Wang, please go back.

The leader said that

useless people won't be spared.

We'll kill him if you meddle in this.

How could this be?

Why would more innocent people

get involved in this?

Brother Xun, how are you now?

Who are those people?

What should I do?

San Jiu Tang

Kong Cheng.

Senior.

Kong Cheng, is senior back already?

Senior didn't come back all night.

Senior, what's going on?

What happened?

Poison.

Missing.

Nerve-calming incense

Kong Cheng, check through

all the herbs.

Especially those that're sent to King Peng Cheng's mansion.

See if there is anything suspicious.

All right.

This is taken orally.

This is nerve-calming incense.

How is it?

What happened?

What's wrong?

This smell...

This is

Xin Yin Grass.

Xin Yin Grass.

It's Xin Yin Grass.

King Peng Cheng's poisoned by this.

Xin Yin Grass

is from San Jiu Tang.

Senior must have found something.

Or

he found any clues

of the poisoner.

That's why he's missing.

How could it be possible?

Senior and I

made this incense together.

Senior sent it to the king's mansion in person.

We are so careful.

Who else

would be able to poison in San Jiu Tang?

Except Sister Waner.

Waner?

You mean Miss Waner

has been to San Jiu Tang?

Yes.

She came here

and stayed for about half a month.

Her heart disease relapsed back then.

Senior had been treating her.

She probably

left the day before the birthday banquet.

It's also the day you took King Peng Cheng over

for treatment.

Could it be that

Senior suspects

Waner?

The day Great Consort Sun died,

she was on the scene too.

She was also the one who served the wine.

Kong Cheng,

let's find Waner at King Jing Ling's mansion.

Please do me a favour.

Okay.

Xuan Yang Door

I, Liu Yixuan want to make a request.

King Peng Cheng disregards for human lives.

Xuan Yang Door

He's an unfilial son

and unqualified to be the Supervisor of Politics.

I'd like to request Your Majesty

to execute King Peng Cheng.

Liu Yixuan

hates the Lu family very much.

If he knows that

you are Lu Yuan's sister,

do you think

he will still allow you to stay by his side?

Forget what had happened last time.

You must make no mistake this time.

King Jing Ling.

But I...

Have you forgotten

your biological brother?

Love is worthless.

Besides, there is also Chen Shaoxun.

If you don't want him to die...

I can't hurt King Jing Ling.

I can't hurt him.

Miss Waner.

What's the matter?

Concubine Li is here to see you.

Why is Concubine Li looking for me?

I'm here to look for King Jing Ling.

So, I come to visit you by the way.

In one day,

so many changes have happened.

You must be scared.

I'm fine.

You're so close with Madam Sun.

Seeing her birthday

becomes her death anniversary,

how can you be fine?

Besides,

you have always had a heart disease.

You'd better be careful.

If you feel unwell,

you may go to find my senior at San Jiu Tang.

He can help you.

No need.

If you really care for King Jing Ling,

please don't hurt him.

That's all I want to say.

Shen Lige,

what are you doing here again?

You still want to

plead for him and reverse the case?

Let me tell you. Since thing has come to this far,

it's useless no matter what you say.

King Peng Cheng murdered Sun.

There's solid evidence.

He has been convicted of murder.

The emperor’s decree has been laid down.

Execution will be carried out tomorrow and I will supervise on the scene.

The truth has not been discovered yet.

How could you make a judgement now?

Are you in a hurry

to kill him?

Do you know that

when Fourth Brother was poisoned and fainted,

he only wanted me to protect you well?

King Jing Ling,

this matter isn't

simple.

As the Supervisor of Politics, King Peng Cheng's power and status

turned upside down overnight.

Jian Kang City faces a sudden change too.

The people are all in panic.

Since you fuel the flames

to send him to death,

have you ever thought that

the next one will be you?

One day,

you will recognise the facts

and see the people around you clearly.

By the time,

don't you regret.

Sister,

what are you looking for?

Waner alone

can't subdue my senior.

Senior has left

luminous powder on Waner.

By following the luminous powder,

maybe we can find senior.

Sister, look.

There are traces here.

These are traces of being hit by a hidden weapon.

Many people fought here

and the scene is intense.

Senior and Waner

must have been here.

Then, senior was attacked suddenly.

Will Brother Chen be in danger?

Don't worry.

Since they have been here,

other clues

will be left too.

Let's search carefully.

Sister, look.

This arrow is so strange.

Triangular shape with barb.

Compared to other arrows,

the colour is different.

It's darker.

The problem is with the wine.

I once heard from Master

when he's developing Xin Yin Grass.

He said wine made from peony

which is used as the guiding drug of Xin Yin Grass

can make people's mind chaotic.

Master.

Vermilion Bird Alliance.

Could it be that Waner is related with Vermilion Bird Alliance?

How could that be?

Sister,

your master, Xu Lin,

is already dead, right?

Why would there be

men from Vermilion Bird Alliance taking action?

Feng, listen.

Arrange manpower on standby now.

But don't ever alert the enemy.

I'll go now.

Open the door.

You may leave now.

You're here.

Have a seat.

What is this?

This is my mother's humble begging,

and also the evidence of your murder.

Liu Yikang,

you don't deserve

to have trust of so many people.

Kang,

I'm truly guilty.

But Xuan is loyal to you,

and also ambitious to contribute to the country.

Having a place in the middle troops

is a happy thing for Xuan

and it's suitable for him too.

If he's a place to settle down,

he will definitely do his best to assist you

faithfully.

Kang,

I didn't get your reply

from my previous letter.

This time, I was rash in

making a request to the emperor.

It's a last resort.

I know you may be unhappy with it.

But since Xuan's put in an important position

and gotten the command power of the middle troops,

I will not say anything more.

You didn't expect that

I'd send you to death personally, right?

You'll be executed tomorrow.

From today,

you and I

are no longer brothers.

Kong Cheng.

Sister.

How is it?

It's all here.

It's her.

Sister, I heard it with my own ears that

Sister Waner is struggling

whether to poison King Jing Ling or not.

I can't hurt him.

I can't hurt King Jing Ling.

Miss Waner.

Concubine Li is here to see you.

Obviously, she likes King Jing Ling.

Why does she want to kill him?

And she is an ordinary woman.

Why would she get involved with

Vermilion Bird Alliance?

Lu.

Her surname is Lu.

Lu Wan.

Lu Yuan's sister.

That's the reason.

My purpose is achieved.

I have taken revenge.

But I don't have mother any more.

I don't have Fourth Brother any more.

Waner,

you think I should be happy

or sad?

If

Your Highness asked me

such a question back then,

I must be puzzled.

But

I know that

even if the murderer has been brought to justice,

at this moment,

Your Highness still feel pain in heart.

After going through so many things,

I know that

what should I cherish,

what should I value.

Waner,

you are still

that

true friend

who I met at Moran Pavilion.

You're still the one who knows me the best.

I really feel that

today is so long.

Soon,

you'll rest in peace.

I waited for this day for a long time.

I'll go to see you soon too.

Come, there's assassin!

Your Highness.

Who are you?

Why do you want to kill me?

The Liu brothers committed many evil crimes.

Vermilion Bird Alliance enforces justice on behalf of Heaven.

He has been poisoned. Retreat.

Your Highness.

After them!

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Ask physician to come over. Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Father.

The imperial decree to excecute King Peng Cheng has been laid.

You are Imperial Secretariat

and also the only man who can save

King Peng Cheng.

It's impossible for King Peng Cheng

to kill his mother.

There must be a conspiracy behind this.

Of course I know

this is not that simple.

But it's about killing his own mother...

and solid evidence has been collected.

Even the emperor

can't just ignore

this case.

As courtiers,

we're in a humble position.

How can we easily control the current situation?

If we want to reverse the situation,

it's useless to act rashly.

I promise you

I will think of way slowly.

Father.

Zijin,

this matter is not only about personal friendship,

but it's the public affairs.

You must trust me.

I will do my best.

But father...

Zijin,

you look so pale.

You must be running around

to inquire about the news

for the Shen family and King Peng Cheng

in these few days.

It's getting late now.

Go back to rest earlier.

Otherwise, Madam Shen will worry about you.

I...

Go back.

Listen to me.

I promise you.

I'll go to see King Jing Ling tomorrow morning.

Go back now.

Physician, how is he?

I have tried my best.

This arrowhead is covered with strong poison.

If His Highness doesn't take the antidote within half an hour,

His Highness will die for sure.

Poison?

Miss Waner,

should I report back that

King Jing Ling's situation is very bad

and can't stand it for long?

Miss Waner.

Miss Waner, where are you going?

Before I come back,

take good care of His Highness.

Miss Waner.

I won't let you die.

I won't let you die.

Where is the true lover's knot?

The aftertaste is great.

Good wine indeed.

Who ask you to come over?

How many people more do you want to kill?

First, you killed Madam Sun.

Then, you caught Brother Xun.

Now, you even want to kill King Jing Ling.

Isn't our enemy

is King Peng Cheng?

Why do you want to make

so many innocent people get involved in this?

I tell you.

I can't stand it any more.

I don't want to take revenge any more.

Let me advise you.

There is no turning back in this world.

If you are smart enough,

just run away as soon as possible.

If you dare to make a move on your own,

you'll be dead

next.

Get lost now.

Give me the antidote

to save King Jing Ling.

Antidote?

What antidote?

Father,

what were you talking about?

What does it mean to kill Madam Sun?

What does it mean to catch Brother Chen?

What is she doing?

Why do you want to take revenge on King Peng Cheng?

Why, father?

Why?

He wants to take revenge.

Blockade all exits of the mansion!

Yes!

Imperial Secretariat.

You're disappointed to see me here, right?

Sixth Brother,

the truth

is before us now.

Your Highness.

Fortunately, you are not poisoned.

You...

Yes.

King Peng Cheng and King Jing Ling

didn't fall out.

Those who assassinated King Jing Ling

weren't from Vermilion Bird Alliance.

Everything is just a trap.

It's to get you hooked...

and find out the mastermind.
