[monsters] Ne-na, ne-na!

[narrator] It was another super snufflesome night

at the School of Roars

and the little monsters were about to have a very exciting lesson.

We have an extra special treat for you tonight, monsters.

Mr Snapper is coming in to help you make your own film.

[crash]

[laughs] That'll be him now.

Come on, Tripod! Busy, busy, busy!

Good roaring, monsters. Roar!.

[kisds] Good roaring Mr. Snapper. Roar!

Right, I'm stomping off to do a bit of marking.

I can't wait to see your film later.

Perhaps we should have a premiere and show your mummies and daddies

when they come to collect you?

[all] Hooray!

A premiere! Will there be popcorn?

Good idea! I can borrow Mr. Marrow's poppity pop machine. Off I pop.

Is that the camera, Mr. Snapper?

Yes. Be...be careful!

Can we make the film now?

All in good time.

First you need to decide what your film is going to be about.

Oh, let's make a film about the Dragon Brigade.

Oh, yes!

The Dragon Brigade are heroes.

They put out fires! Swoosh!

They make sure schools and homes have smoke alarms which go "beep"

and warn you about fires.

And they're always rescuing monsters.

Look at Brian. He's stuck and can't get down.

Ooh! It's an emergency!

Icklewoo, you operate the camera.

Wufflebump, you're in charge of Brian.

Wingston, Meepa and Yummble, you can be the Dragon Brigade!

Let's start filming!

Action!

It's Brian!

I'm stuck and can't get down.

We need the Dragon Brigade now.

[all] Ne-na, ne-na, ne-na!

Help! It's a long way down.

Don't be scared, Brian.

You're safe now.

My heroes!

Fly the truck now, Wingston.

[all] Ne-na, ne-na, ne-na!

Thanks for rescuing me, Dragon Brigade!

It's a tough job! Grr!

Now we have to check more smoke alarms.

[all] Ne-na, ne-na, ne-na!

And cut!

Cut what?

We don't need scissors, Wufflebump.

"Cut" is what film makers say when they stop filming.

Quite right, Icklewoo. Fang-tastic work, monsters.

Brian wants to get rescued

from the top of the dino slide now, Mr. Snapper.

A change of location? Brilliant.

Oh, where is it?

Oh! The poppity pop machine.

Whoo-hoo! Time to get poppity popping.

[laughs] Ooh! Pop, pop, pop!

Action.

Uh-oh! Brian's in trouble again!

Help, I'm stuck at the top of the monster slide now.

Why don't you just slide down?

Because I'm a scaredy human!

Help!

[all] Ne-na, ne-na, ne-na!

-[beeping] -[gasps] What's that?

It sounds the smoke alarm.

It's coming from inside the school.

Quick Mr. Snapper! Call the Dragon Brigade.

Huh?

Oh, my claws. I've set the smoke alarm off.

I must have put in too much poppity popcorn!

Ooh, it's a bit smoky.

Hello, Dragon Brigade?

It's Mr. Snapper from the School of Roars.

Could you come immediately?

Our smoke alarm has gone off.

Well done, monsters.

The playground is the special place we meet

when we hear the smoke alarm.

-Meepa? -Here, Miss.

-Yummble? -Here.

-Wufflebump? -Here.

-Wingston? -Here, Miss.

-Icklewoo? -Here.

That seems to be everyone.

But wait - where's Miss Grizzlesniff?

-[alaem wails] -[gasps]

[gasp] Look, it's the Dragon Brigade to the rescue!

Wow!

-Smoke! -This way, Dennis!

OK, Doris.

[coughs]

Oh, my claws. The poppity pop machine is over loaded.

Don't worry, Miss! We'll get you out of here.

Come on, Doris. Let's go!

Oh! [laughs]

Rawr!

Are you OK, Miss Grizzlesniff?

I'm fine.

Mr. Snapper says you heard the smoke alarm

and told him to call the Dragon Brigade.

What amazing little monsters you are.

And because you were such heroes, you can play in our fire truck.

[all] Hooray!

Film this, Yummble! I'm going to turn on the siren.

Can I make the wings flap?

Can I flash the lights?

[monsters] Ne-na, ne-na, ne-na!

The smoke has cleared, monsters!

It's safe to go back into class.

Can we show our film to our mummies and daddies?

Of course! I've got a feeling it's going to be a blockbuster.

Rawr!

Our little monster heroes have had a very exciting time in film club

and you'll see why with the premiere of their special film, The Rescue.

[all clapping] Hooray!

The Dragon Brigade are fast and strong!

Call for help and they will come.

They fit alarms that start to sound when smoke and fire are around.

And when our teacher turned things smoky,

we called and they said, "Okie dokie!"

They put out the smoke and she was saved.

Oh, my claws!

So let out a roar for the Dragon Brigade.

-[all] Roar! -Whoo-hoo!

[narrator] So the little monsters had a thrilling time in film club

and learned that smoke alarms

are important to have in your home and school,

and if you hear them chime, remember to call for help!

And cut!
