[narrator] It was another super snufflesome night

at the School of Roars,

but little monster Wufflebump didn't want to go into class.

[both] Grrr!

Do I have to?

Hi, Wufflebump!

Have you brought in your special vegetable

for our healthy eating project?

I've got blootroots!

I had to bring in yucky scrummatoes.

Eugh!

Ooh! We love them!

[both] Scrummatoes, scrummatoes They're such a delight

They help your eyes Light up at night

[all laugh]

Come on, Wufflebump! It's going to be fun!

-Rawr! -Ugh.

Good roaring, monsters!

Rawr!

[kids] Good roaring, Mr Marrow!

I hope you've remembered to bring in the special ingredients

for our delicious salad.

-[others] Yes! -[Wufflebump groans]

Show me what you've got.

Scrummatoes.

[others] Oh, yum!

Yuck!

I've brought firepips.

They're hot, but slurpsome!

[others] Ohhhh!

And I've brought twinkleberries!

-[twinkling] -They're really juicy.

This is flubbage.

It's tasty and good for you.

And I brought in blootroots.

[laughs]

What a lovely selection, monsters.

Now all we need is dinkyfruit and muppledups.

[others] Wow!

Look at all the lovely colours!

Monsters, prepare the salad!

-[all laugh] -Ah!

First, we must wash it.

Whee!

[giggles]

Icklewoo! You're supposed to wash the salad, not me!

[both laugh]

Ta-da!

Yes. Time for some peeling and grating.

Meepa! Meepa! Watch me!

Now we can arrange the salad in scrummy layers.

[others] Yay!

[both laugh]

[all] Ooh!

Ooh!

Two for the bowl, and one for Yummble!

[laughs]

I wish you'd eat all of the scrummatoes - they're yuck!

Excellent work, class.

Your salad looks delicious!

-[class] Wow! -[Icklewoo] It's like a rainbow!

-We can eat it for lunch. -[rumbling]

Ooh! But it's ages till lunchtime.

First it's playtime, and then it's music.

I love playtime!

-[beel rings] -Off you stomp, monsters.

[class] Hooray!

Scrummatoes! Yuck, yuck, yuck!

Maybe if I hide the salad, I won't have to eat the scrummatoes.

[gasps] I'll hide it in the music room!

This drum is the perfect place.

[chuckles]

Time for monster music.

And, as it's Healthy Eating Week,

I thought we could sing our fruit and vegetable song.

[class] Yay!

I'll give you a beat on my drum.

-Ooh! -[squelching]

[gasps] Not the drum!

When I sing the name of a fruit or vegetable, you sing it back to me.

[squelching]

I like vegetables and I like fruit

I like munching on a big blootroot

-Blootroot! -[kids] Blootroot!

-Firepips! -[kids] Firepips!

-[squelching] -[chuckles]

Lovely, monsters.

Mr Marrow has told me all about your yummy salad.

I'll have to pop by and try some.

Off you stomp to lunch.

[class laughs]

I've spoilt the special salad!

[groans sadly]

-I've got slime sandwiches! -Salad time!

Yum, yum, yum!

Now, monsters, before we have lunch,

there's a bit of a mystery to solve.

Our special salad seems to have...

...disappeared!

-[all gasp] -[groans]

I'm sorry.

Because I don't like scrummatoes,

I hid it.

[others] Oh, Wufflebump!

Thank you, Wufflebump.

You know, if you really don't like something, you don't have to eat it.

But it's good to try it first,

just in case you love it.

Now, where did you hide the salad?

Oh, my claws. Look what I found in my drum.

[chuckles] I think it may belong to you.

Rrrrawr!

-[class laughs] -Oh, Ms Grizzlesniff.

It may have got a bit shaken up.

I was beating that drum with all my monster might! [drums]

Drum!

[class] Wow!

Sorry. It's a bit squish-squashed.

[gasps] Oh!

But look how it's all mixed together.

I think you may have invented a new salad, Wufflebump -

squish squash salad!

Try it, Wufflebump.

Aha!

Um...

Ughm! [slurps]

Uh...

-It's... -Yes?

Yes?!

...delicious!

[others] Hooray!

Let's eat some squish squash salad!

[kids] Yummy, yummy, yummy!

[all munch]

Ooh! It does look nice.

[narrator] So Wufflebump learned it's good to try different foods,

even the ones you don't like.

Might not be so bad after all,

especially if they're mixed into a yummy squish squash salad!
