When the stars come out And it's night once more
It's time to go to the School of Roars
So wake up, monsters And stretch your paws
Jump up and go to the School of Roars
School of Roars, School of Roars
It's time to go to the School of Roars
School of Roars, School of Roars
You growl and grow At the School of Roars
School of Roars, School of Roars
It's time to go to The School of Roars!
[all] Rawr!
[narrator] It was another super snufflesome night
at the School of Roars
and Wufflebump and Yummble bumped into a monster
they'd never seen before.
Come on, Yummble!
-Whoa! -Oh!
Slow down, little monsters.
Sorry!
-Hmm. Grr! -Whoops. [giggles]
Good roaring, monsters. Raar!
[kids] Good roaring, Miss Grizzlesniff. Raar!
Tonight, we have a very special visitor at school.
-Me and Yummble bumped into her! -[laughs]
Oh, dear, she's Miss Snarlebite, a school inspector from Mothsted.
What's a school 'spector?
An important monster who visits schools,
to make sure the teachers are doing their best teaching.
We learn heaps, because you are the best teacher ever!
[all] Yippee!
Oh, thank you.
We want to make Miss Snarlebite feel very welcome.
If Miss Snarlebite writes lots of monster-mazing things
on her clipboard about us,
then our school will get a growlingly good gold star.
Who'd like one of those?
-Me! Me! Oh, yes, please! -Me too.
-I want one, yeah, me too, yeah. -Me four!
Miss Grizzlesniff has a very well-behaved class.
Ooh! Settle down, monsters.
[laughs] This is the school inspector, Miss Snarlebite.
-Oh. -Hmm. Grr!
Good roaring, Miss Snarlebite! Raar!
Oh, grr!
[laughs] They're very excited to meet you.
Hmm.
Well, I'll leave you to Miss Grizzlesniff. [giggles]
-Grrr-roar! -Right.
Our first lesson this morning is monster maths.
[all] Hooray!
Let's all count the legs on this centi-poodle.
-Ready? -[kids] One, two, three.
Oh! Oh, my claws, where did it go?
There it is!
What? Oh! Whoa-oh-oh!
[all gasp]
-Take my wing, Miss Snarlebite. -Oh, I say.
Naughty centi-poodle.
[laughs]
Perhaps we'll do some monster-mazing art instead.
Hmm. Grrrr.
Rawr!
[kids chattering]
Er, splatty splatty here.
-Oh! -Oh!
Oh, dear.
How are we doing, class? Have you almost finished?
[all] Yes, Miss Grizzlesniff.
-Oh, it's hideous. -Oh.
It's you, Miss Snarlebite.
Oh, it's me? Hmm, interesting.
Hum. Meepa, Wufflebump, why don't you show Miss Snarlebite the playground?
-[both] Yay! Follow us! -What? Oh, argh!
Rawr!
Do you like our dino slide, Miss Snarlebite?
Oh, dear! It's very high.
You have to shout "squeeeeee" on the way down.
Oh, is that right?
Squeeeeee!
Oh! My bottom's stuck.
-Come on, Miss Snarlebite! -You can do it!
-Oh! -[both] Hooray!
Hmm. Grrrr!
This is where we do our mud puddling.
Eugh! Mud puddling?
Watch me!
La la la la lah!
[laughs]
Your turn, Miss Snarlebite!
Oh. Well, I never...
Whooooooa, whoa! Whoa!
Oh! Uh, I'm covered in mud.
Whoops, take my paw.
Grrr.. Oh!
You're a bit stuck! I'll get help.
Oh, what is this creature?
Never fear, Mr Marrow is here, with his giant spoon.
-Urgh! Oh! -[kids] Yay!
Now, please accompany us back into school,
where we have a little surprise for you.
-[croaks] -Urgh! Oo-oo!
Miss Snarlebite,
the monsters wish to thank you for coming to our school.
Icklewoo?
These are stinkblooms from our school garden.
Oh. Grrr! Thank you, dear.
[sniffs] Ah, ah, ahhh.
Here's your portrait, Miss Snarlebite.
Ah, ah, lovely, ah, ah.
We made this slime cake especially for you, Miss Snarlebite.
Ah, ah.
-Do you like it? -Ah, oh!
Argh!
[gasps] Oh, my claws!
There goes the gold star.
[laughs] [slurps]
Scrumdunctious!
What a super snufflesome time I've had. [laughs]
It was my first day as a school inspector
and I was a little nervous,
but all you monsters have made me feel so welcome.
The stinkblooms are lovely, Icklewoo,
but they do make me a little sneezy.
Ah-chooo!
[laughs] You are all very thoughtful.
Like, when Wingston and Yummble helped me up
after that cheeky centi-poodle escaped.
Oh, and then Wufflebump and Meepa showed me how to be brave,
going down a very high slide.
[laughs] And then I met some monster-marvellous wildlife
in the mud puddle.
[laughs] And what can I say about my portrait?
It's a perfect likeness! [chuckles]
It just needs to be turned the right way round.
Huh, there!
[kids] Oh, yes! Look at that!
Well done, Miss Grizzlesniff.
I am awarding your school Mothsted's highest honour.
A snufflesomely outstanding gold star!
[all] Hooray!
[narrator] So it turned out that Mrs Snarlebite
wasn't a growly grump at all.
She was just a little bit nervous,
and the School of Roars was awarded an outstanding gold star
for being so monster-mazing.
[all] Cuddles! Raarr!
[laughs]
