When the stars come out and it's night once more
It's time to go to the School of Roars
So wake up, monsters And stretch your paws
Jump up and go to the School of Roars
School of Roars, School of Roars
It's time to go to the School of Roars
School of Roars, School of Roars
You growl and grow At the School of Roars
School of Roars, School of Roars
It's time to go to The School of Roars!
[all] Rawr!
[narrator] It was another super snufflesome night
at the School of Roars
and Mrs Twirlyhorn was busy repainting the Play Tree.
Good roaring, monsters! Roarr!
[all] Good roaring, Mrs Twirlyhorn! Rarr!
The Play Tree's looking monster-mazing!
When can we come and play in it?
As soon as the paint has dried.
Oh! That will take forever.
Oh, no, it'll be dry by the end of the night.
Oh...ooh! [laughs]
Ugh, see? I said it will take forever.
[bell rings]
OK, monsters, it's time to come in for lessons.
[all cheer]
I'm going to be the first to climb to the top of the Play Tree
when it's dry.
I'm going to be the first to climb to the top too!
Oh!
Rawr!
-[monsters chattering] -Ready, monsters? A is for...
Aaahhhh!
Yes. B is for...
[all] Boooooo!
C is for...
[all] Creak!
D is for...
[all sing dramatically] Dun-dun-dunnnnn!
[chuckles] E is for...
Ahhh...
What is E for, Meepa?
-Huh! Meepa! -Huh?
Oh! Icklewoo?
[laughter]
No, E isn't for Icklewoo.
That's right. E is for...
-[all] EEK! -[chuckles]
I think someone needs to think more about her alphabet
and less about the Play Tree paint drying.
Sorry, Miss Grizzlesniff.
Today, we're all going to work together
to make a wonderful flag to put on top of the Play Tree.
[all] Oh, yay! I love flags!
OK, class, let's get cracking! Rarr!
Rawr!
Ready, Wufflebump?
Hold still, Wingston!
[hums]
Here's a dragon.
Ta-da. [chuckles]
Splodgey, splodgey!
Ooh, oops. Here you go!
-Ha-ha! -[both] Thanks, Yummble. [cheer]
[monsters giggle happily]
Ta-da!
Ooh, it's a big gruffly dragon flag.
Rawr!
Oh, my claws, that's looking marvellous, monsters.
Yay!
Now, all we have to do is wait for the flag paint to dry.
And wait for the Play Tree to dry so we can put the flag up.
What's with all this drying?
Oh, Meepa. Patience!
-[bell rings] -Well done, everyone.
-It's playtime! -[all cheer]
Ooh! Ooh, my claws.
Rawr!
Oh, there, all finished.
[all cheer]
-Oop! [chuckles] -Ooh, goody!
No, not so fast, Meepa!
The paint is still wet.
You can't play here until it's all perfectly dry.
Oh!
[all] Oh!
Hey, last one to catch me is a silly spider!
[cheer]
[groans]
I know it's hard, but some things really are worth waiting for.
Hmm. [gasps]
And some things are worth seeing right now.
Just a quick look. No-one will notice.
[giggles]
Yes! I did it!
[screaming] I did it first!
-[bell rings] -[gasps] Uh-oh.
La-la-la-la-la.
[chuckles]
-[all] Wow! -Our flag is finally dry!
I can't wait to see it at the top of the Play Tree.
-[knock on door] -Ooh, come in!
Oh, ooh!
Could I just speak to the little monsters, Miss Grizzlesniff?
Be my guest.
It has come to my attention
that someone has entered the Play Tree
before the paint has had a chance to dry.
Oh, my claws.
And how do you know this, Mrs Twirlyhorn?
Look at floor!
-[all gasp] -Oh, no!
It wasn't me, Miss!
It's OK, Wingston, I know who did it.
Uh...uh...
I hope going into the Play Tree when I said not to was worth it, Meepa.
[sniffles] I'm so, so sorry.
I couldn't help it.
The Play Tree looked so beautiful
and I just had to be the first to look out of the top window.
[gasps] But I wanted to be the first!
Well, Meepa, I think there's only one thing to do.
What's that, Mrs Twirlyhorn?
You must make things better again.
So, you can start by mopping the classroom floor.
And then the playground.
[groans] OK, Mrs Twirlyhorn.
Can I help, Meepa?
[others] Me, too!
It's OK, I need to do it on my own.
I made the mess.
Good monster, Meepa.
Uh...ooh.
Ooh, sorry, Mrs Twirlyhorn.
[giggles]
Rawr!
[excited chatter]
I declare the Play Tree open to play in!
-[laughs] -[all] Hooray!
Wait.
Oh, not again!
Icklewoo, do you want to go before me?
What? Me go first?
Sure! I can wait.
After all, I'm very patient.
[giggle]
Let's go! Yippee!
Yay!
[narrator] So Icklewoo may not have been
the very first to the top of the Play Tree,
but she was first to raise the flag.
And although Meepa loved doing things quickly,
she learnt that some things really are worth waiting for.
[all laugh] Rarr!
