When the stars come out And it's night once more
It's time to go to the School of Roars
So wake up, monsters And stretch your paws
Jump up and go to the School of Roars
School of Roars, School of Roars
It's time to go to the School of Roars
School of Roars, School of Roars
You growl and grow At the School of Roars
School of Roars, School of Roars
It's time to go to The School of Roars!
[all] Rawr!
[narrator] It was another super, snufflesome night
at the School of Roars,
and the monsters were all dressed up
as their favourite character from a storybook.
Grrr!
-[Yummble] Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! -[gasps]
Fee-fi-fo-fum!
I'm a giant, yum-yum-yum!
Oh...
-Ahh! -Ooh!
Giants love slosh fruits.
Urgh!
Yay!
I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down!
Fee-fi-fo
fum! -I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll huff!
[both laugh]
Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.
BOTH: Huh?
Who's she come as?
Ooh! I'm going to hide.
Rawr!
-[mosters chattering] -Ha-ha! Witchypoo, witchypoo!
Good roaring, monsters.
Rarrrgh!
[kids] Good roaring, Miss Grizzlesniff.
Rarrrgh!
Oh, my claws! What a monstrous collection of costumes.
Who have we got at school today?
The giant from Jack And The Beanstalk.
Fee-fi-fo-fum!
[all laugh]
I'm the big, bad wolf, Miss Grizzlesniff.
I'll huff and I'll puff...
Whoo!
Well, I hope you don't blow the school down, Mr Wolf.
It might rain later.
[all laugh]
Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.
-[others] Huh? -And who are you, Meepa?
The crocodile from Peter Pan.
Tick-tock, tick-tock!
Ha! Of course! He swallowed the clock.
Very good, Meepa. [laughs]
Oh, Icklewoo's not here yet.
And who else are we waiting for?
Rawr!
Wufflebump! Wufflebump!
You didn't tell me today was Monster Book Day!
Sorry, Mummy.
I forgot!
But you've got to have a costume.
[creaking, frog croaks]
Who do you want to be?
Hum, Woh.
Puss In Boots?
Whoa! Too furry.
Oh! Robin Hood?
Oh!
Too silly.
The handsome prince from Sleeping Beauty?
Ew! I don't want to be handsome, Mummy.
I want to be hideous and horrible.
Oh! Put this on.
My bike helmet?
I've got an idea.
Rawr!
Who am I, again?
The troll from the Three Billy Goats Gruff. [laughs]
And this is your bridge!
[groans] It's a bit heavy.
Oh, you'll be fine. Do the voice, go on.
Who's that trip-trapping over my bridge?
Louder!
[both] Who's that trip-trapping over my bridge?
Who's that trip-trapping over my bridge?
-Rarrrgh! -Bless.
Well, if that doesn't win the prize for best costume,
I'm the Sleeping Beauty.
-Let's go. -Yay!
Ooh! [laughs]
Ah!
Rawr!
-Bye, Mummy. -Bye, my handsome troll!
[skid sounds]
Huh?
[sobbing, sniffing]
Somebody's crying.
Hello! Is anybody there?
Ooh-hoo.
Icklewoo, what's the matter?
Oh! Who are you dressed as?
I'm Cinderella.
[sobs]
It's my favourite book.
Yeah, it's a good one -
how she starts off all nice and dirty in the kitchen,
and then the fairy godmother comes and magics her all yucky and clean,
so clean she can go to the ball.
-I wanted to be one of the Ugly Sisters... -Oh.
... but I was staying at my grandma's house
and all she could find was
this yucky, floppy, silly, frilly dress she made
to scare everyone at Halloween.
It isn't very monstrous.
I know!
And all the other monsters look really monstrous and horrible.
What shall I do, Wufflebump?
I haven't got anything else to wear.
Hmm.
But Cinderella was only yucky and clean
before the clock struck midnight.
Oh! Give me your book! I've got an idea.
Rawr!
Ready?
[laughs] Yes.
-One, two, three... -Whee!
Ha-ha!
Ta-da!
How do I look?
Hmm. It needs something.
[croaks]
Ah-ha! There.
-Now you're perfect. -[croaks]
Let's show you off to the others.
Rawr!
[all gasp] Hooray!
-Yucky! -You're the best!
Alright, everyone, settle down.
Well, I think we're all agreed
who deserves the prize
for best Monster Book Day outfit.
[all] Yes!
It is, of course, Icklewoo as Cinderella,
after the clock struck midnight
and she turned back into stinky Cinders.
[all] Yay!
[all clap]
Really? Me?
-Oh, thank you. -Whoo!
[tinkling]
-Whoo! A gold star! -[croaks]
And the runner-up is Wufflebump!
[all gasp]
As Cinders' monstrously horrible troll prince.
-[all cheer] -Ah!
[all clap]
[tinkles]
Ohh!
[narrator] So Monster Book Day was a roaring success.
Icklewoo was the stinkiest Cinderella in Storyland,
and all the little monsters lived happily ever after.
-[all] Rawr! -Oh, witchy-poo.
