[narrator] It was another super snufflesome night

at the School Of Roars.

A very special night -

full moon, when the monster moon was at its biggest and brightest.

It's my favourite night of the whole entire year!

-Do you think we'll get to see the... -Moon monster? Definitely!

There's no such thing as the moon monster.

If there was, we would have seen him by now.

Happy full moon, monsters! Raar!

[all] Happy full moon, Miss Grizzlesniff! Raar!

Now, who remembers what we always do when we're looking at the full moon?

Hmm. We always get to eat crater cakes!

[others] So yummy!

-I can't wait! -Yummble!

I wonder what the moon monster looks like.

-He's in my favourite moon book. -[others] Wow!

If we're going to see him,

we've got to look closely at exactly the right moment.

But the moon is so far away!

[all gasp] Ooh!

Oooh! Ooh!

I can't wait to eat crater cakes. They're yummy!

Oh, no, no, no, no! These cakes will never be ready in time!

I've never made them before. They're very tricky.

Don't worry, Mr Marrow.

I'll help you make those crater cakes. I'm an expert!

[gasps] Have you made them before?

Nope, but I've eaten loads of them!

Hmm!

We're going to need a bigger bowl.

Raaah!

Moon? Moon?

Where's the moon gone?

It's disappeared!

Don't worry. All we need to do is look really hard.

[all growl]

We're looking as hard as we can, Wingston.

And we still can't see the moon!

But I think I can see Mrs Twirlyhorn.

I thought it might be tricky seeing the moon tonight.

So I've brought along my monster-mazing telescope!

[kids] Wow!

You all look tiny!

Yes. You won't see the moon that way.

-You're looking in the wrong end! -Oops.

Hmm.

But I can't see the moon from here either.

Really? Oh, dear.

I'm afraid it's far too cloudy to see the moon tonight.

Now I'll never get to see the moon monster!

[all groan]

Oh, my claws. My tummy's groaning like a yeti.

-Are those crater cakes ready yet? -No, no, no, Miss Grizzlesniff!

I've put loads of cake mix in.

So there'll be scrummy crater cakes for everybody!

[all gasp]

Oh!

Mummy's crater cakes were never that big!

Oh, no, no, no, no!

Rawr!

-Aw. -Cheer up, Wingston!

We've thought of a way you could go and see the moon!

But you're going to need a spaceship.

Yes! [gasps] We can build one!

[all laugh]

Now all we need is a booster.

Got one!

[laughs]

Hmm. There's still something missing.

Oh!

-The moon! -[others] Monster-mazing!

-Jump aboard, everybody. -[all] Yay!

Three, two, one, blast off!

Oohhhhhh! Whoo!

I've never been into space. What's it like?

-It's very dark. -[kids] Ooh!

How are we going to see where the moon is?

-Look, there it is! -Whoo-hoo!

Time to do a moonwalk.

[all laugh]

-I feel all floaty! -Me too!

Now maybe we can find the moon monster.

They don't look like the ones in the cookbook.

Oh. Maybe it's because we haven't iced them!

OK. But we'd better be quick, otherwise we might miss the moon.

Ah. Now, icing is a very delicate art.

Don't worry, Mr Marrow - I know what I'm doing! Mmm!

-Whooooa! -Careful, Yummble!

[gasps] Oh.

Eurgh!

Miss Grizzlesniff to Captain Wingston. Come in, Captain Wingston.

Yes, Miss Grizzlesniff?

I think it's about time you flew home,

as there might be a nice surprise waiting.

[all] Crater cakes!

[all gasp] It's the moon monster!

No, it's two moon monsters!

[all laugh]

No, no, no, no, no, no.

I'm afraid our crater cakes didn't quite turn out as planned.

Want to try one?

[crunching, eating]

Mmm! These crater cakes are delicious!

Ah, yes, delicious!

Oh, look, everybody!

-[kids] It's the moon! -Quick, to the telescope!

This is the most fantastic night ever!

Even though you didn't see the moon monster?

Even though I didn't see the... [gasps]

Moon monster!

Hello!

[narrator] So the little monsters learned

that their imaginations could take them anywhere -

even to the moon!

And Captain Wingston's dream of seeing the moon monster

came true after all.

[all] Yay!

Wow. The moon looks so close.

I could almost touch it.

-[chuckles] -Oh, Mr Marrow.

-Oh, Miss Grizzlesniff. -Rawr!
