This was the first time during an investigation

that I ever lashed out in rage at you.

Zak: We have seen things that defy explanation,

experiencing the best...

I won the portal to this forest

wide open.

One of my scariest nightmares that we are about to relive.

to watch some investigations

that affected us and really messed us up.

I mean, here, in our core.

And this is one house

that you don't want to go knocking on the door

trick-or-treating at Halloween

or asking the neighbor if you can borrow some sugar.

this house was hell.

I'm sorry to say, but this investigation may be

one of the most dangerous that we've done since I can remember.

There are several people that have committed suicide,

and the owner of the house killed himself in the house.

People are saying the house is doing it. The house is doing.

the second we walked in the door,

you were in a place that you don't want to be in.

So, someone has died in every room in the house,

wait. Can you say that again?

Someone has died in every single room in the house.

They were all drug overdoses and suicides,

all connected to john dominic,

who we inherited the property from.

John dominic was the owner. Correct.

And he is dead? Passed. Yes.

Where did he die?

Do you think the house has something to do

with the people and what they do to themselves?

The house, the whole property feeds on drugs.

john was one of the biggest drug dealers in los angeles.

There was a lot going on there,

and yes, there was a lot of drugs going on there.

And he'd been there for a long time. Right.

Zak: Did he do drugs? Klyne: No.

The doctors would give him an enormous amount of medications

because he was quadriplegic,

but he wouldn't take any of them.

He said, you know, "the only thing I have left is my head."

in a place like this where people are very weak,

they're doing drugs,

they get you to a point where these demons want you to be,

where they then can control you,

and it really started just flooding my mind with questions.

John was a good person at heart, you know?

But he just was trying to survive.

Along the way,

he ruined a lot of people's lives trying to survive.

I mean, this is like the worst situation

that you can walk into.

People that are unfortunately addicts,

people going through that struggle,

their own literal demons that they're facing in their life,

and also real demons controlling them and wanting them

to continue to do this and ultimately take their lives.

I wholeheartedly believe in that.

And feeding off that misery, even into the afterlife.

Zak: Maurice edwards witnessed something remarkable

in the back bedroom.

Tell me what you saw in this room.

Edwards: It was a woman. She had long, dark hair.

She looked distressed.

It seemed like she was like right there,

and that's what freaked me out.

I never slept in that room ever again.

If there's spirits of the people that have died there,

they might have that urge to feel that drug again.

So they're gonna affect people that are there living

to try to do more drugs.

It's just a mess.

It's a way for them to be alive again,

in a weird, messed-up way.

It's weird to think, like, the addiction

actually travels into the afterlife.

We've had possessions here.

People have been possessed? Yeah. In this room right here.

My partner, malai.

Yeah. It was serious.

He kept saying he saw a ghost,

and I didn't believe him,

and then one morning, he woke up and he was waking me up.

He said, "you got to get me out of here. You got to get me out of here."

he appeared to be paranoid schizophrenic,

and a friend had come over.

Her brother was paranoid schizophrenic.

So, she spend the evening and she comes back to.

She says, "devon, is different sometimes?"

I said, "well, yeah, he's --"

she said, "no, you don't understand."

she said, "does he change?

Like, does his body changes, does his face change?"

and I just looked at him. I said, "yes."

she said, "my brother died paranoid schizophrenic.

I grew up with him my whole life."

she said, "malai's not paranoid schizophrenic.

He's possessed."

so, now I wanted to know were they having possessions

or were they just having really bad effects from the drugs?

I want to know that there's actual demons here

and it's not just the psychosis of being

under the influence of all these drugs

and people just telling me,

"oh, yeah, there's demons here," while they're all high.

Do you think that lifestyle

is what can attract demonic entities...

Absolutely. ...To flourish there?

but to actually be there and not just watch it,

but feel it directly from the people.

His descriptions of the entities

were very, very prompt, very descriptive.

and now is when he felt it for the first time

They're going through a lot.

and these people are desperate for help.

It is a struggle. It is a battle.

And on top of that, they're dealing with

also an infestation of very sinister entities.

There's some type of energy there.

We can feel it, I felt it,

and that's why I want to go somewhere to peel back

the layers of history and see what's in that land.

Devon made a statement about an indian burial ground.

I'm gonna go talk to a historian.

I want you, billy and aaron, to go back to the property

to take readings with the geomagnetometer.

That'd be cool that's a good idea.

See if there's some type of energy

coming out of that ground that is off the charts.

When you're in the street, it was one thing.

The earth's natural geomagnetic energy

and we're just looking for spikes, anything that's over 50.

on top of this sacred land, that they could be affected

by some type of a curse or angry spirits?

I think that the deeds

that people do can unleash phenomenal power.

A lot of places we go,

is so haunted, and we find out

it's right on indian burial grounds.

That doesn't mean these people were bad people.

No, not all at. A lot of the native americans were great.

They've been disrespected over time. Disrespect.

I know there was a major earthquake here

in 1994.

The northridge earthquake.

And the epicenter was

and then you add to that the burial of the dead

or mystical beliefs on the part of the folks who live here,

This spot right here is where the guy saw the apparition.

It almost went to zero. That's a crazy anomaly.

So, the difference between the front door and the back door

is 110 in range.

This is where he saw the apparition of the lady.

But how do we not know that those --

because there are faults that go through it --

it could be a ley line.

It would amp up the energy or possibly fuel

a very powerful portal,

which would have the manifestations be very high.

When we say that we feel it when we walk into a building,

and then walking out and it's freezing cold.

and you saw it move in here,

and that's the direction it was traveling.

That was one of the most terrifying things

To see it with your own eyes,

so it looks literally like a black rain cloud

At the same exact moment,

his camera captures an unexplained light anomaly.

That was so scary to see that.

Only it appears visually different

in the camera's infrared light spectrum.

You got to remember, that's the only light anomaly

that we have captured on any of our night vision cameras,

including the x cameras, up until this point.

Right. It's weird. It almost looks like it does a loop.

That is not an insect. That is not a dust particle.

That is what we were seeing.

But it just appears differently in a different spectrum.

A black fog.

the times that he gets negatively affected.

I just didn't even feel my body when I said that.

I just felt like I was 10 feet tall

This episode taught me a lot about protecting yourself.

It really did, 'cause this was the first time.

It showed me that the energy was able

to come through you. Right.

That validated that to me.

It took a long time to get over this.

Like, watching it again, it's just like remembering me,

just depressed at my house

because I was so focused in on how bad this felt, you know?

That energy soaks in you.

How powerful a spirit can you get?

that all of the negative energy is coming from,

that that they would come in and have sex with them.

Why are you attacking these people?

Are you making them kill themselves?

That first one that said, "I'm human"?

It could have been one of the suicide victims.

And it could be saying, "thank you,"

Just as billy and I are telling aaron to be careful

because he's digging too deep with his questions,

a voice comes through the spirit box

and also tells him to be careful.

This is absolutely amazing.

yeah, it's mimicking me. Aaron: Yeah.

Oh, my god, bro. I just feel all my muscles, like --

this sounds weird -- but breathe.

It's like, they all went, like,

[growling] -- all of them.

Maybe they're attached to you.

All my body was breathing.

I could feel my muscles, everything.

What is that?

There must have been some sort of crazy [bleep] connection

that goes through or some sort of scary-[bleep] energy

that we've never come across, you know?

Our muscles run off electrical energy, too.

So, when a spirit passes through you,

it can actually physically mess with your muscles

and electrical system.

These entities haven't heard or witnessed

other living people react to their voices.

Then they are getting closer to us.

They're charging us up.

They're attaching themselves to us. Yeah.

Over and over. It's just talking directly to us.

zak: In the moment, aaron hears, "it is him."

but after further review, we also make it out saying,

"wait a second."

I'll never forget that voice. Oh, my god.

I do not remember that moment right there.

I do not remember that grin.

It just creeped me out.

Zak: Right after aaron receives the female voice again

saying, "come here",

something causes me to grab billy's shoulder

and very oddly, I tell him,

"there is a demon here and it's tricking aaron."

this is when your demeanor changed. 100%

I felt it come over to me.

I then drop my camera as a light anomaly

comes from where aaron is standing,

passes me, and then shoots towards billy,

who suddenly collapses to the ground.

Zak: What's wrong?

Can I help?

Aaron: Billy?

You grabbed me,

and that's the moment that I just broke down.

It was almost like, "tag, you're it."

After jay hears this, he convinces billy and myself

to grab the thermal imaging camera and head back inside.

We make our way into the bedroom,

where the previous owner died not too long ago,

and I immediately begin capturing something

on the thermal camera.

The gentleman in the wheelchair

that owned the house died in this room

not too long before we got there.

-Hey, guys? -Yeah?

Zak: Come here.

Aaron: What is it?

Look at that spot on the bed.

What the hell is that?

And we see a cold spot on the bed,

looking like somebody sitting on the bed.

Zak: Something is sitting on the bed,

and that is a cold spot. Very cold.

It's hard to get good thermal evidence.

This was one of our best pieces, but it gets better.

Aaron: Put the crosshairs on it.

Just move to the right a little bit.

How cold is it?

-Did you hear that? -Yeah.

-72/ -whoa, what the...

I was starting to freak out.

I don't know how you guys stayed in there as long as you did.

All of a sudden,

jay sees a ball of light with his own eyes around me,

and billy's camera captures what we believe is the same anomaly.

This also happens at the same time as these strange,

unexplained noises.

Zak: You get off the bed.

Oh, my god.

It took me about two months to get over this.

Just... You brush it off

and you go on to the next investigation, but...

and then try to make contact with them in the dark,

it's a tough thing to do. Yeah, it is.

You have to really sympathize with their spirit

to make that connection and to get that voice.

Zak: As we are mapping in this unexplained cold spot

on the bed, right where the former owner died,

all of a sudden, a second cold spot begins manifesting.

Oh, my god. Look.

Whoa. Whoa, there was a second one.

-What? -There's a second cold spot.

Yeah, there's two spots now.

Zak: Yeah. Can you get up?

It's just -- somebody's sitting there.

Is it moving? That cold spot is moving?

I think the cold spot is moving.

As if somebody's sitting on the bed

and just put their hand over here to lean back.

You can see right here this second purple spot

is now starting to form next to this one.

It's cold. What would cause a cold spot to show up?

A cold spot on the bed.

How could that possibly happen?

Have we ever had a cold spot appear on thermal?

I would say that's got to be

the most incredible thing we've ever capture.

It's about six degrees colder.

There's a 70.

It went to 70? Yeah.

It's getting colder. Wow.

When you first started on it, it was 73.

It's dropped three degrees since we've been standing here

and it's getting colder.

It's at 77.

That's as good as a full-bodied apparition.

That's so odd. Anybody out there wants to explain that,

please, I would love to hear your explanation for that.

I move closer to observe the spot with my own eyes

and instantly make a fascinating discovery.

Uh, billy? Billy: Yeah?

There is a depression

in the bed where the cold spot is.

Yeah. Look at depression in the bed.

That's right.

It's 70 degrees. 70.3.

Zak: On the cold spot? Okay.

Whatever the entity is, it's manifesting from there.

It's drawing that heat out of the air right in that spot.

Really? Yeah.

Well, what would cause that?

And just the heat from you touching it for a second is hot.

Just the two seconds, you touched it,

you heated up the blanket

with your heat to 78 degrees, zak.

I see the bright spot next to the dark spots.

The bright spot is the heat from my hand transferring

onto the bed.

The purple spots, those are the cold spots.

And it doesn't go away, though. That's the thing, too.

You think, like, if you put your hand, it would heat up.

Yeah, having the second cold spot appear on camera

was the critical point in this evidence.

John, are you sitting here?

The cold spots, the arm that appears,

the spot, and now a class-a evp saying "no".

"did somebody kill you, john?"

"no." 'cause he did it.

Right.

To me, that seals the deal.

Nobody said "no",

and there's no way a "no" could appear magically

on a recorder played in real time.
