General and

Master Shen

are back at last!

General.

Master Shen.

From King Peng Cheng

General Military Protector, Shen Zhi

the eldest son of General Zhenbei, Shen Tingzhang.

He's loyal, upright and

meritorious in war.

Wang Zijin, daughter of King of Lang Ya

talented, beautiful,

etiquette and virtuous.

They're a perfect match

made in heaven.

Without Master Wang's permission,

I've married them both

in Matou.

Now the Emperor has decreed the marriage.

Please grant His Majesty's wish

and make a good marriage.

With a letter from Your Highness

and a decree from the Emperor,

there's nothing Master Wang can say.

Miss Zijin and Shen Zhi

finally got what they wanted.

The lovers are finally together.

I witnessed their true love

when I was in a desperate situation.

It touched me.

That's why I rushed to get engaged for him

and neglected Master Wang.

I'm writing this personally

to ask for Master Wang's forgiveness.

The family of Concubine Li has finally been reunited.

Plus this gift,

Shen's family

could have some fun.

Hold this.

Let's go.

All right.

Your Highness.

What's going on?

General Shen and his son

were ambushed

on their way back to Jian Kang.

Ambush?

What happened to them?

They...

They're all dead.

Your Highness,

Concubine Li's family

should have heard the news.

Lige.

Your Highness.

What do Your Highness think of this horse?

Not bad.

It's a hand-picked selection.

This horse has a very gentle temperament,

perfect for Miss Waner.

That's good.

Your Highness.

Are you going out on a date

with Miss Waner?

If I'm not mistaken,

besides Miss Lige at that time,

you've never been so devoted

to a girl.

What are you talking about?

What did you say?

Your Highness.

Miss Waner,

What are you two

doing here?

Nothing.

Look!

Do you like it?

I thought you said

you envied the days

of galloping horses.

You have to learn to ride first.

How about I teach you?

I know

there's a little meadow nearby.

It's still early.

Let's go now.

Let's go.

King Jing Ling.

Are you coming from Jian Kang City?

Did something happen to Fourth Brother?

It's the Shen family.

Something's happened to the Shen family.

What's wrong with the Shen family?

Shen Tingzhang and General Shen Zhi

were assassinated on the way back.

They're dead.

They're dead?

Ji Shu.

Return to Jian Kang City.

Yes.

Miss Waner,

we'll be back in a few days.

Shen's Mansion

Pillar of Loyalty

You said it once.

Your ambition in this life is in the North.

You're going to be

a hero on the battlefield.

Even in death,

you have to die on the battlefield,

return to the dust.

I promised you all that.

Why did you forget that yourself?

Brother Shen Zhi.

How could you

come back like this?

I'm your wife now.

How could you leave me?

How could you, Brother Shen Zhi?

Answer me!

Could you answer me?

Please answer me.

Answer me!

Answer me!

Brother Shen Zhi, wake up.

You can't leave me.

Did you hear that?

Did you hear that?

Brother Shen Zhi.

I, Shen Zhi swear it here.

In this lifetime,

I'll never fail Zijin.

And I, Wang Zijin swear it here too.

In this lifetime,

I'll only marry Shen Zhi.

Sister.

Weiyang Lake is the place

that Father and Brother

were ambushed.

There must have left evidence.

Why is there nothing?

How could it be?

That's impossible!

Sister!

Sister!

Stop looking for it!

It's all gone.

There's nothing left.

The rain washed it away, Sister.

It won't.

There must have left evidence.

Sister!

There's nothing left!

Stop looking for it!

There's bound to be more.

There will be evidence.

-Sister! -There must have left evidence!

Now the evidence is gone.

There will be evidence.

I'm sure there will be evidence.

There's nothing left, Sister!

Stop looking for it, Sister!

Who did this?

Who did this?

Father!

Brother!

From today onwards,

you're the daughter of Shen family,

Shen Lige.

Father has searched

the best needlework in Jian Kang City.

It's from the most famous Hong Yun Store.

Lige,

you just got back and you're getting married soon.

I'm very reluctant.

I'll let you

get married in style

and make up

for the past 18 years.

Jia Ning Pavilion

Jia Ning Pavilion

I've got a stove for you.

At night,

put it under your quilt.

In the future,

I won't suspect you anymore.

I believe you.

You're my sister.

Lige,

welcome home.

This is for Father.

Father's been on the battlefield for years.

There should be a lot of old wounds.

With a good health,

only you can protect Mother.

Definitely.

Good girl.

Good girl.

When Father was away,

I'll take care of you

on behalf of Father.

If you have any problems in the future,

you can tell me.

Feng, please read more.

Someday you'll go to war with me.

Keep one's home safe and secure,

and serve the people.

Battle is not just about courage,

but also wisdom.

Do you understand?

I got it, Father.

Pillar of Loyalty

You father and son

are loyal and brave.

But I failed

to protect both of you.

Fourth Brother.

Why are you back?

I heard it from my subordinate

that General Shen has been killed.

That's why I came back

and see if

there anything that I can help?

Please tell Concubine Li.

I'm sorry

for her loss.

Thanks for your concern.

Fourth Brother,

you'd better spend more time with her.

At this time,

you're the one

she needs most.

Every time the same.

He says he's coming home,

but he's nowhere to be seen.

Zijin.

What do you think

is going to happen to them?

I feel scared.

Madam,

Wei's troops have retreated.

It's just that

there's a few more chores in the barracks

that the General needs to take care of.

Two days later,

they'll come back.

All right.

Madam, it's late.

Let's get some rest.

All right.

Zijin.

When Zhi comes back,

I'll let you two get married.

You will be our family's

daughter-in-law,

that's the good fortune

of my son.

Zijin.

You...

Why are you crying?

Silly girl.

I get it.

Has this day

finally arrived?

From now on,

you're his

rightful wife.

Zhi has been

straightforward since he was a kid.

He is

like a piece of wood.

He doesn't know how to talk of love

and don't understand women's hearts.

All these years,

it's been hard on you.

I'll let him keep you company when he comes back.

Don't be mad at him.

Madam,

I like Brother Shen Zhi.

In my whole life,

he's the only one I like.

Shen Zhi, that little brat.

I'll let him keep you company

when he comes back.

I hope that

you two are going to give me

a chubby grandson.

All right.

Madam.

It's getting late.

Let's get some rest.

Brother Shen Zhi.

Pillar of Loyalty

According to the man of stage-coach,

Father and Brother were temporarily diverted

to Weiyang Lake.

By the time I got there,

I only saw the bodies of my father and brother.

Then what happened?

Is there anything else

that matters?

My sister and I went to look for the evidence.

But after a heavy rain.

almost all the clues were washed away.

A trap.

There was a trace of trap

on site.

Although the killer

tried to destroy the evidence,

the wounds on

my father and brother's body

are the best evidence.

It can't be hidden.

It seems that the killer knew

about General Shen and Shen Zhi's

martial arts prowess.

And he knew he can't defeat them,

so he has made a well preparation.

Their body

riddled with wounds.

The means are so cruel.

The killer must have had

hatred when he did it.

Who hates my family so much?

Xue Qiu?

It's Xue Qiu.

After Lu Yuan's death

he just disappeared.

I'm going too.

Shen Feng!

Where are you going?

I'm going to find him.

Even at the ends of the earth,

I'm going to find him.

I won't let him go.

Lige.

After Lu Yuan's death,

Xue Qiu is nowhere to be found.

Even though he is a

trivial man,

but he's hiding in the shadows

and holding the remnants of the Black Armored Army.

I'm afraid he'll do more things

that are bad for the Shen family.

At this time,

your family needs you.

Fourth Brother is right.

Xue Qiu is a desperate criminal.

Now the middle troops is rummaging

the whole city.

We'll be notified immediately

as soon as they get the news.

I've also sent Minister of Justice

to investigate the case thoroughly.

We'll get to the bottom of this.

The most important thing now

is the funeral of General Shen and Shen Zhi.

His Majesty was grief-stricken

when heard of it.

The decree has been issued

to bury them with great honours.

After you've settled their funeral,

whatever you want to do,

I'll do it together with you.

Let us handle

the investigation first.

I would never let

General Shen and Shen Zhi died in vain.

Shen Feng,

take care of your sister.

All right.

What do you think?

A wanted felon,

a traitor

whom everyone shuns,

how could he have the power

to gather so many people

and to assassinate an imperial general?

This matter

is more to this than meets the eye.

If it's indeed Xue Qiu's doing,

he's probably just a handful

exploited sword.

Fourth Brother thinks so too.

So behind this,

there must be someone with a sword.

Could it be someone...

Now it's just speculation.

We've no evidence.

Don't speculate further.

And,

don't tell Lige

about this matter.

She's just been through

a terrible shock.

I'm afraid she'll be impulsive.

So as you. Don't get involved.

It's a big deal.

I have a plan.

Got it.

Since you're back,

then don't go.

Stay and help Fourth Brother.

All right.

Let's go.

Uncle Zheng.

I copied all these scriptures.

Please help me to take it to the temple later.

All right.

Concubine Li.

You're here.

Uncle Zheng.

How's my mother?

Don't worry, Concubine Li.

Madam hasn't found it yet.

Miss Zijin and I

have been watching her all the time.

Everything's going to be fine.

That's good.

Madam.

Why are you still in my house?

Where's Zijin?

She used to take care of me.

I don't want to see you.

Please leave.

Sister Zijin...

She has some important things need to take care of at home.

That's why she didn't come here.

Therefore,

she asked me to bring you food.

Look at this.

I've got some pastries.

All the ones you like.

You go away!

You go away!

I don't want to see you!

Are you trying to hurt me?

Are you trying to hurt me?

I'm not eating!

I don't want to see you again!

I don't want to see you again!

Madam!

What's wrong with you?

Concubine Li don't want you to starve.

That's why she bring you food.

What's the matter with you?

Uncle Zheng, get her out of here!

I don't want to see her!

I don't want to see her!

Madam.

Concubine Li,

she's still sick.

Don't take it serious.

I understand.

I don't mind.

Uncle Zheng, get her out of here!

I have to go to temple to pray.

Get her out of here!

Madam.

Concubine Li is your...

Uncle Zheng.

You'd better take my mother with you.

It's better that

she is not here.

All right.

Don't worry.

I've got the carriage ready.

I'll take her there in a minute.

It's almost time.

Let's go, Uncle Zheng.

Madam.

What's wrong with you?

Why are you thinking of going to the temple all the time?

Because...

Is it you

or Concubine Li who's asking?

Let's go.

Don't forget to bring the stuff.

Uncle Zheng.

Chanting must not be disturbed.

Why don't you wait outside?

But Concubine Li asked me

to stay beside you always.

What Concubine Li?

Why do you listen to her so much?

Don't you remember?

Jiaer is the young lady of the house.

Give me that.

Let's go.

Shen's mansion

In loving memory of Brother, Shen Zhi

In loving memory of Father, Shen Tingzhang

General Shen,

come back!

General Shen,

come back!

Put a corpse in the coffin.
