Concubine Li, everything's ready.

All right.

Let's

take it to King Peng Cheng.

Sister.

Feng.

Good day, Concubine Li.

Don't joke around.

Why are you here?

I can't visit my sister?

Be serious.

I have military affairs

so I come here.

Smell good.

This is not for you.

You're so petty.

You

or my sister cook it?

Concubine Li make it herself.

She has been busying all day,

the kitchen almost burned up.

I think

my sister look the best this way.

Looking more like a woman now.

What are you saying?

So rude.

Why?

I don't look like a woman before this?

Wash clothes, cook rice,

take care of husband and children.

Then...

No.

You don't have children.

Sister, you have to work hard.

You need to give birth

to at least eight children.

At that time,

I'll teach all my skills

to my nephews.

You talk so much.

Drink water.

You don't look feminine at all.

Why King Peng Cheng likes you?

Of course he likes me.

I'm afraid King Peng Cheng will be disappointed.

You've married to him for so long,

but you haven't learned

to behave like a lady.

He doesn't care about this.

I need to learn

to take care of husband and children,

but,

I prefer the way I am now.

He likes it too.

I like it too.

You know how to ingratiate people.

This is right.

Let's go.

Accompany me to visit your brother-in-law.

Let's go.

The Song of Glory

Cheng Xiu Pavilion

How are mother recently?

She's fine.

Sister Zijin takes care of her.

Episode 41

You should call her sister-in-law.

What's that?

Your Highness.

The news about Shen Tingzhang and his son

ambushed Wei Army from behind

has been widely spread among the people.

Some people said that

when General Shen was captured,

he rather die than yield

and can escape unscathed.

He led troops to protect Matou.

He's the best general.

Now, the people in the north

treat Suiyuan Army

as magical army.

This is the petition

by the people in the north

to give Shen Tingzhang a Longevity Plate.

-Sister. -Your Highness, please give permission.

Don't do it, Your Highness.

You've commended Shen Family.

Now, Shen Family

has three generals

and his daughter

get married to you.

These are the best rewards.

Since ancient times, the people make Longevity Plate

for virtuous sovereign king.

Shen Tingzhang is just a general.

His willingness to take on risk

is his responsibility.

You shouldn't give too much reward

and make Shen Family feel proud.

General Shen has led troops for many years.

He's always diligent and self-restraint.

He has never overstepped the rules.

He never did it before

but it doesn't mean he won't do it in the future.

Your Highness.

I agree

with Minister of Revenue.

Since ancient times, those who're more successful than the leader

use military power to rebel,

this is not uncommon.

Lu Yuan is a lesson to us.

Please think about the future

and disperse Shen Family's military power.

Also,

Your Highness

only adores Concubine Li.

This...

Your Highness, please forgive me.

I...

shouldn't discuss about your family matters.

A bunch of old pedantic people.

Don't lower ourselves to their level.

Let's go.

Pillar of Loyalty

When we

kill the enemy in the battlefield,

these officials didn't say anything.

Now that we've won

and took merit,

they start to gossip.

More successful than the leader?

Only adores her?

I'm furious.

King Peng Cheng is at fault too.

He's my brother-in-law.

He endure it although they slander him.

How can he let them speak freely?

When we're young,

you always sing this song

to us.

You're so happy.

What are you doing?

I'm making clothes for Jiaer.

For Concubine Li?

I just came back from visiting her.

What Concubine Li? She's Jiaer.

All right.

Sister is your Jiaer.

If she knows

you're making clothes for her,

she'll be very happy.

I'm happy when she's happy.

Don't touch it.

You'll spoil it later.

Put it here.

I won't touch it anymore.

Put aside.

Uncle Zheng.

Madam.

The scriptures you requested.

Put it here.

My mother copy scriptures again?

These much?

Mother, your eyesight is bad.

Why did you do this?

You don't know anything.

I copy scriptures

to pray.

It'll come true if I'm sincere.

You don't used to do this.

Mother.

You have secrets

to tell me?

Secrets?

Who are you?

Why are you here?

Don't affect me

to make clothes for Jiaer.

Mother.

I'm Feng.

Shen Feng.

Take a closer look.

I'm Feng.

Zhi.

Good.

Uncle Zheng.

Young Master Feng.

Seems like her confusion

is getting worse.

Yeah.

She was not like this before.

Now, she likes to copy scriptures

and doesn't feel tired.

She didn't go

to the temple so often before this.

What's wrong with her?

I noticed it too.

However,

madam is in a good mood

recently.

So I didn't say anything.

Yeah.

If she's in a good mood,

just let her be.

Mother, you came.

Jiaer, I copy these scriptures for you.

When I'm done,

we take it to the temple

to pray for father and brother's return.

Our family will be reunited safely.

Jiaer.

Go home with me.

You're my daughter.

I want to see you every day.

I'm here.

Don't care about Concubine Li.

Nobody

can bully my Jiaer.

Wait for a while.

When father and brother return,

I'll go back.

We can

give them a surprise.

Surprise?

Good also. They'll be back soon.

Mother.

You copied the scriptures in a short time.

It must be hard on you.

It's not hard.

Uncle Zheng's waiting at outside.

I need to leave.

Oh, right.

I bought

a hairpin for you.

It's pretty, right?

Come, I'll put it on you.

It's really nice.

You're really my daughter.

It's pretty.

Thank you, mother.

I like it very much.

I'll wear it every day.

When I'm not here,

you must take care of yourself.

Madam.

Madam.

Are you inside?

It's all right. Don't be afraid.

Madam.

Coming.

Madam.

We should go back now.

Madam.

I heard

someone's talking just now.

Who is it?

This is a place to eat vegetarian food.

There's nobody here.

Let's go.

for Brother Shen Zhi myself.

Take a box

to keep it.

All right.

Master.

Father.

You're so anxious

to get married?

Father.

You promised me that

if we win in the battle at the north,

you'll give permission

for my marriage with Brother Shen Zhi.

You must not break your promise.

Of course I'll remember

what I said before.

But you get married to Shen Zhi

at the north without telling me.

What's this?

Matou City is in danger at that time.

Nobody knows

what would happen on the next day.

So King Peng Cheng

organized a wedding for us.

King Peng Cheng?

Who is he

to organize a wedding for my daughter?

Father.

I know you're worried

about my reputation.

But King Peng Cheng

was just being kind.

Don't be mad.

Besides,

Brother Shen Zhi

will come back soon.

Pick an auspicious date

for us.

You...

You've said it yourself,

it's ruthless in the battlefield.

Shen Family is full of generals.

That's why I

never agree with your relationship.

Because I don't want you

to live in fear in the future.

You really have thought about it?

I'll only feel happy

if I marry Shen Zhi.

Even if one day

something happens to him,

I'm willing to accept it.

Since you insist,

I'll fulfill your wish.

When General Shen and Shen Zhi return,

I'll go visit them.

Promise?

I'll prepare the dowry

for you myself.

Father!

Thank you, father.

Is it never enough

to look

at your husband?

Are you still

reluctant to part?

I just

can't believe

King Peng Cheng is folding clothes himself.

You

are the only one in this world

who can have this honour.

I'm honoured.

How long do you plan

to stay in Shen's mansion this time?

Ten days.

Ten days?

That's too long.

How many days do you want me to stay then?

Let me think about it.

One day.

One day?

That's too little.

I'll be gone before finish talking.

How about this?

Three days.

No less than that.

All right, three days.

You don't need

that much clothes then.

I'll take out a few.

Don't take it out.

It's still

warm and cold now.

When you're in the carriage,

your hands won't feel cold.

Are we there yet?

We'll arrive soon.

All right, raise your foot.

All right.

Come.

Sit down.

What is it? Why are you so mysterious?

You can open your eyes now.

A cushion?

Yes.

I made

this cushion for you.

You sit at the desk for a long time every day.

With this,

you'll feel more comfortable.

Good.

Very good.

My Concubine Li

is really good-looking and intelligent,

and dexterous.

Enough, stop flattering me.

I myself know

my quality

of needlework.

It's not that excellent

but every stitch and thread

is my sincerity.

You must not dislike it.

Who says it's not good?

Concubine Li

made this specially for me.

It is

full of love.

Even the best embroider

can't make it.

This is the best.

My husband

knows how to sweet talk now.

Tell me.

Do you

reluctant to part with me too?

Oh, right!

Take it here.

What is it?

I prepared

another surprise for you.

Come.

You cooked it?

Sit down.

I'll leave tomorrow.

Before I leave,

I personally prepared a meal for you.

I want you

to remember this unique taste.

If I miss the taste,

aren't you afraid

that I might bring you back tomorrow?

You do it again.

King Peng Cheng is a man of his words.

You must not break your promise.

You promised to give me three days.

When you go back tomorrow,

you must bring more things back with you.

Let father-in-law thinks that

I'm a generous son-in-law.

You're considerate.

Since you've mentioned it,

I'll make a request.

Just tell me what you want.

I want your most precious

Bi Xin Wine

from your wine cellar.

You really dare to ask for it.

Why?

Reluctant to give it?

I only reluctant

to part with you.

As for the others,

just take it.

This is right.

How about you don't go back?

All right.

I've promised you.

Three days.

All right.

When you return,

I'll cook a delicious meal for you.

You envy them?

You...

Take care of your health

and bear my child.

Do you

want to...

You...

This is great.

Do you want to...

I'll find a man

like King Peng Cheng.

You...

You?

I...

Why can't I?

I'm better than

you

who don't act like a man.

I don't act like a man?

From the north to Jian Kang City,

I was captured

and nearly die,

but I'm not afraid!

I don't act like a man?

Come.

Look at you.

As thin as a monkey.

To make your clothes,

you

don't need two feet of cloth.

And your little arm

is so thin.

Come here.

Come.

Come here.

Come here.

This stone...

Can you carry it?

And your face.

As white as a girl.

Oh, right.

And your name.

Sanbao.

Cao Sanbao.

Like a palace maid.

You don't look like a man at all.

Listen here.

You can say anything about me

except my name!

Why can't I?

I'm an orphan.

I was sent to King Peng Cheng's mansion

to be a servant.

His Highness took care of me

and taught me to read.

That's why I can be military advisor.

His Highness gave me this name.

My name is Sanbao.

Cao Sanbao!

I like it. I'm proud!

I'm sorry, Sanbao.

Just now, I...

I'm sorry.

Actually, I feel that

Sanbao

is a good name.

It's a good person's name.

I'm serious.

I'm wrong.

I also think that

you're quite handsome.

Sanbao.

His Highness wants to see you.

Coming!

Xu Zhan, put me down.

You...

He's always like that.

When he's sad,

he'll use this method.

Why do you

always appear suddenly?

Don't you know what is a secret guard?

You appear and disappear suddenly since young.

You're like a ghost.

Yes.

A ghost.

A wild ghost.

We're brothers.

You two have different backgrounds,

but,

you live in King Peng Cheng's mansion since young.

And King Peng Cheng

took care of you.

That's great too.

Could it be...

you don't have family too?

I used to have a family.

But

my parents

was caught by Lu Yuan to private foundry.

They were poisoned

and died.

However,

I have a sister now.

She is my family.

You have us too.

No.

I'm your family from now on.

All right.

Let's

be sisters.

Again?

You're not willing?

He doesn't want to

be your sister.

He wants to

be with you.

What?

I want to eat lotus.

Lotus?

Let's go take a look at the lake.

I'll take it for you if have.

I want too.

Uncle Zheng!

Feng.

Sister.

Feng.

Brat.

Uncle Zheng.

Young Lady Lige.

No, Concubine Li.

You're back.

Let's go.

Let's go back.

All right, let's go back.

Yes, let's go back.

Let's go back. Come.

Where is it?

I remember I brought it.

I found it.

Come.

Take these two swords

to the martial arts room of father and brother.

They will like it.

Careful.

Come.

This is quite nice.

Come here.

Take these two bonsai

to the hall.

Yes, Concubine Li.

Careful.

King Peng Cheng

is so kind.

Of course.

There are so many things.

King Peng Cheng only give an order.

Take it.

That's mean King Peng Cheng

likes Young Lady Lige

and value Shen Family.

I almost forgot it.

In the carriage outside,

there's a carriage

full of Bi Xin Wine.

A carriage?

Yes.

When my father and brother arrive tonight,

the whole family have fun together

and drink until drunk.

Yes.

Drink until drunk.

All right.

No.

I can't wait any longer.

I want to go to the relay station

to fetch my father and brother.

I'll leave now.

Careful.

You're so impatient.

Slowly.

Don't worry.

Just prepare the meal

and wine.

Wait for us to return.

Oh, right, Uncle Zheng.

Did you prepare my father's favourite

steamed carp?

Yes.

What about my brother's favourite

crucian carp soup?

I've prepared it.

Ms. Zijin

went to the market to buy fish

early in the morning.

It's fresh.

And...

We've prepared everything.

A few chefs from Restaurant Yanhong

has been busy since the early morning.

Good.

Oh, right.

Where's my mother?

It's been so long.

Why don't I see her?

I don't know

what's wrong with her recently.

I told her

Concubine Li is coming today.

But she said

she

doesn't want to see you.

Come in.

Mother.

Why are you staying in the house?

Concubine Li.

Mother.

Mother.

What are you doing?

You're King Peng Cheng's concubine.

I'm just a civilian woman.

Etiquette is necessary.

Otherwise, I'll be blamed.

Why are you doing this?

You came here

with wide publicity.

Shen Family

always advocate simplicity and discipline.

We can't accept it.

All these are King Peng Cheng's

sincerity.

Besides,

I return home to visit my family,

I should bring back some gifts.

You're not my daughter.

You have nothing to do with Shen Family.

Please leave here immediately.

Don't stay here.

Mother.

I'm Lige.

I'm Jiaer too.

You really don't remember it?

You're just Lige that they said.

I don't know you.

I don't want to see you again.

Please leave.

I want to continue to copy scriptures.

Mother.

I've said it,

stop calling me mother.

You're not my daughter.

Please leave, Concubine Li.

Leave now!

I'll leave now.

I'll visit you again next time.

No need.

It's all right.

It's all right.

Mother just doesn't remember me.

She'll recover someday.

How is it?

Can be described as

handsome,

crystal clear eyes,

smart,

and elegant.

His Highness is really nervous.

He's going to meet his father-in-law.

Of course he's nervous.

True.

Why isn't Xu Zhan back?

Does it take that long to buy a Bone Cake?

I thought

I want to bring it to Concubine Li myself.

Don't worry.

Concubine Li will be able to have it.

I'll leave a letter for Xu Zhan.

I'll ask him

to take it directly to Shen's mansion later.

All right.

Sister Zijin.

Concubine Li said that

Young Master Zhi will be back soon.

She asked you

to dress up.

Concubine Li is really...

Concubine Li prepared everything for you.
