[Memories of Love]

[Episode 23]

Uncle Hu, we're here!!

Welcome! Welcome!

You guys are lucky today. I happened to buy a nice fish today.

I'll make you guys fried fish soup later. You must eat and drink happily here tonight.

Really? That's great!

Hurry and take a seat.

Le Qing! Le Qing!

It's so nice to be young.

Le Qing, I know you're against me being the first leading lady

for my best interest.

But I also hope that you can understand

I've already decided to accept this role.

Just let me try it.

Did you forget what the doctor said?

If you debut, I'll be really worried.

I know.

Then why are you still taking this risk?

This has always been Lu Fei's dream.

I want to help him accomplish this dream together.

I can't reject it.

You can even ignore your health because of him.

Le Qing,

I really need,

really, really, really need your support right now.

Let us smoothly finish filming this movie together. Okay?

The fish soup is ready!

The fish soup looks really good today.

Let's chat.

Hurry and try it.

- Thank you, Uncle Hu. - How is it?

I'm teasing you.

Look at this. Drink it now.

Let's eat. I'm hungry.

Ruo Li.

There's good news?

I always thought that I was a tough and capable manager,

but I cannot help but admit that I don't understand the Chinese market well enough.

And I judged a person wrongly.

I always thought he didn't sincerely want to help you.

But who knew that to this day,

I realized that he's a brother that you can go through thick and thin with.

Le Qing?

Oh, right. He originally didn't want me to tell you.

But I thought about it and thought it was best to let you know.

Le Qing.

Is this an apology...

or a strength of character?

You don't have any solutions?

That never happens to me.

You should stop forcing yourself.

After all that happened,

it's not possible that there's anyone willing to invest.

If you came to rub it in,

then...

What is it?

You must recognize this scene.

You won't rip it this time, right?

I'm glad. You're on my side.

Likewise.

I'm leaving.

Uncle Hu, you said that there are fresh goods today.

What goods?

This. Lu Fei.

Go now.

Go now.

Have a seat.

Uncle Hu, give us another.

This is complimentary.

I will talk to the both of you later.

We used to have our noodles,

cry, smile and argue, too.

Now, it's all about work and fame.

When did we become so distant?

Forget I said anything.

Ruo Li told me already.

Let's talk then.

I didn't want to keep it from you anyway.

I don't need it.

I only want to be happy.

♬ He still wishes to encounter ♬

♬ That certain face ♬

Here.

I don't know if Lu Fei still remembers

that ten years ago, he wanted to switch Xin Chen out from the first leading lady spot,

and our argument from then.

Ten years later, it's about Xin Chen again.

We're arguing about the first leading lady's spot again.

However our roles changed.

I promised Xin Chen not to tell him about her injury.

I hope the movie filming can be completed smoothly.

♬ The heavens have long ago arranged the encounter of that day ♬

♬ Making the longest moment complete ♬

♬ The whole journey is like a sunny day, but at one glance I know it'll be forever ♬

Director, we're about to start filming soon

but we haven't decided on the female lead yet. The production crew is asking me. How should I explain?

My first leading lady still hasn't agreed.

Are you joking with me?

Director, our production crew has faced a lot of problems.

Everyone is anxious now.

Don't worry. Wait a little more.

Who's the first leading lady in your heart anyway?

Well, is there anything wrong with today's score?

Today's scenes are about Lan Shan joining the school's dance competition

in hopes of being the champion to attract Mu Ran's attention.

Thus, she went to the academy to practice her dance.

But because of her desire to do well, she danced inadequately.

She kept having this fear of losing.

Is it like this?

It seems like you're pretty hard working.

Director, our cameras, wardrobe, make-up artist and lighting are ready.

Why don't you guys take a rest first? I'll tell you guys know when it's ready.

Okay, I will be done soon.

Okay.

Any other questions?

- I have a small question. - Say it.

I don't quite understand

why a girl will go through so much effort

just to attract a guy's attention.

I've never experienced this before so I don't understand.

Because at that moment, she knew she had to do that.

Didn't you say that this script is about

those times in our lives when I didn't go after you.

For such a beautiful love, is it that important who chased who first?

All right. We will discuss about the script again tonight.

We will film here later.

Here, you have to dance well.

- Xin Di. - You came pretty fast.

Why are you looking for me?

Why do you think I'm looking for you?

You must have changed your mind.

You felt that you were cold and ungentle towards me in the past and decided to compensate me.

Why are you so imaginative?

Then why are you looking for me?

I need your advice on some matters.

Don't tell me it's about ex-girlfriends again.

I'm not interested in them.

This time, it's about Ah Feng.

Are you too imaginative or am I too imaginative?

This Ah Feng doesn't even exist.

You made that up to provoke me.

That's right. We will just pretend he doesn't exist.

But even though I'm not really interested in your ex-girlfriends,

I want to gain some experience from your abundant love history.

I want to know what this man feels when he is in a relationship.

This is why I called you here. Teach me.

I know you are saying all this to provoke me.

But I want to tell you, I'm not angry at all.

Really? How magnanimous.

I'm so touched.

It's great that you're not angry. Turn around.

Here, impart your experience.

Okay. You want to enrich your love experience? Sure.

Then we can try to go out. You can practice with me and I'll play along.

Stop.

- Here, over there. - Noted. - We need some help in this part.

Let's do it again.

Okay, let's do it again!

Come, everyone, be more energetic!

You've all worked hard. Let's do it again.

Faster!

Okay, time to hit the slate.

Scene 53, take 32.

♬ When the cycle of day and night alternate frantically ♬

♬ His longing and yearning is like a flame, never hibernating ♬

♬ Even if the world crumbles down and perishes ♬

♬ There's still a notion that it cannot disintegrate ♬

♬ Flowering blossoms don't wither, at first sight they've already fallen ♬

♬ The heavens have long ago arranged the encounter of that day ♬

♬ Making the longest moment complete ♬

♬ The whole journey is like a sunny day, but at one glance I know it'll be forever ♬

♬ Seeing the crowds of people again, at first it didn't feel something changed ♬

It's okay.

♬ From that page, their story begins to overlap ♬

♬ That side is destined to never part and bid farewell again ♬

♬ The longest moment, the first forever ♬

Director, have you seen it already? What do you think?

I think... It's not very ideal.

- Let me see if there are any other scenes we can shoot. - Okay, continuity clerk!

Director.

Is there singing and acting afterwards?

Yes.

- Here, scene 20. - Okay.

- Prepare it first. - Okay.

Let us prepare first.

Okay.

Get ready for Scene 20.

Come, everyone, move it.

We need two people here to help.

Okay.

Where do I put this?

It's Scene 20. Move it.

Here, here. Faster. This one's done.

Take care of the cables.

That one.

Okay.

Why is this still here? Come.

Hurry up.

Two people come here.

- Here. - Hurry up.

Someone help me carry this.

Where is the code for the wardrobe?

It's quite good.

I just talked to the cameraman. There were a lot of parts that were good in the previous scene,

but we would like to add a scene before that

and add a commentary for that scene.

Let us film that scene first.

Okay.

Okay! Everyone, get ready.

Let us begin.

Hello. One orange juice and one Rio.

What's up with you?

I'm seeing which is Ah Feng. Seems like he's not here yet.

He has no sense of time. Not gentlemanly at all.

You're here already and he's still not here yet. In relationships, guys like this should be directly eliminated.

Ah Feng lived in Tibet for too long.

So he has not adjusted to city life yet.

You made that up, right?

You did the character profiles so well.

You are too cute.

Look, this is where the difference between you and Ah Feng lies.

He will never compliment me out loud.

But I know it's all in his heart.

You know everything that is in his heart.

Why? You still don't believe me?

Believe. Believe.

I believe whatever you say.

Right, what were you asking me?

When Ah Feng proposes to you,

what are you supposed to respond?

Actually, I think I need to understand him better.

I don't want to accept him so quickly.

That's right.

If you don't test his many rounds of negotiations, how would you know if he's being sincere?

Just use ten percent of what you did to me,

create a fuss, be unreasonable,

and insist that he goes back to Tibet

to continue with his secluded meditation.

Turns out that's how I am in your heart.

All your weaknesses

are strengths to me.

But I don't know if Ah Feng can withstand it.

Sorry, I've too many fans. What were we saying?

Oh, right. What kind of person is Ah Feng?

How are his attitude and personality?

It's time for you to leave. Ah Feng is coming.

No, I also want to see what kind of person Ah Feng is like.

If I leave, it'll be such a pity.

What if he proposes to me right here?

What would be the purpose of you being here?

Okay, I'll leave.

If Ah Feng doesn't come, you will be embarrassed.

Bye-bye.

Hello, Xin Di.

This one is for you.

She is playing with my heart at this moment.

I won't fall for it.

Is this it?

It's so beautiful.

It's good that you like it.

He may be just an ordinary friend, right?

He's here to make me angry.

Which hand does it look better on?

This one?

Does it look good?

I've forgotten.

What're my lines?

Yesterday, I obviously memorized them!

Why can't I remember anything today?

Xin Chen, how can you keep forgetting today?

Xin Chen, why are you so dumb?

Quickly remember, quickly remember, quickly remember.

I'm sorry,

I'm sorry, I forgot my lines.

Xin Chen, why are you so dumb?

Yesterday, I clearly memorized them.

I don't know why...

I don't know why today I keep forgetting them.

It's normal.

It's fine.

Lu Fei, stop trying to make me feel better.

Every time when I'm in a bad state, you say it's normal.

What about tomorrow or the day after tomorrow?

From now on, I'm always in a bad state.

Then won't I ruin your film?

Just relax first.

We'll film up to here today.

We'll call it a day today.

All right. Knock off.

Thank you, Director.

A couple of you big fellows come over, put this equipment away.

All right.

Put this away.

Be careful of the cable.

We're wrapping it up. Be careful.

Come here.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by The Love Guardians Team @ Viki.com

Just scold me.

This is your first time.

First time for what?

This is the first time that I'm not teaching you on the set.

You are the one who's teaching me instead.

Lu Fei, I didn't mean to do that.

You were right then.

Your remarks just now made me suddenly realize that

at this moment, what you don't need is to be comforted.

It's encouragement.

Comforting words won't solve any problems.

Only losers need to be comforted.

If you can get out of your comfort zone,

and overcome your weaknesses, you'll do better.

I already understand this logic.

It's a pity that every time I've faced you, I didn't have the heart to do it...

What do you mean?

...because you are a very soft spot in my heart.

Director Lu Fei, why are you so nauseating now?

Do you feel better now?

Director Lu Fei,

can you be a bit more strict with me in the future?

I don't want to be someone who is always being protected by others.

Be a bit more strict?

No problem.

No problem at all.

♬ Flowering blossoms don't wither, at first sight they've already fallen ♬

♬ The heavens have long ago arranged the encounter of that day, making the longest moment complete ♬

♬ It's just one glance that leads towards forever ♬

The filming is not going as smoothly as expected.

It was my expectation that Xin Chen was weak in the singing and acting part,

but I didn't anticipate that she would also have problems with dance.

It's great that the cast and crew are cooperating well now.

The filming is advancing in an orderly manner.

In order to solve the problem about the dance,

Xin Chen and I have decided that

after the daily completion of filming, at Gao Mei's academy,

she will continue to practice her dance.

Director Wang, thank you very much for coming to work from a long distance.

I'm worried about the progress of the filming of this movie.

I will give you the report then.

We have completed almost 35% of the movie.

It's about forty scenes.

Although there is a bit of overrun

but I believe we can catch up with the final shoot.

It's a problem to have the overrun.

I hope you will continue to meet the deadline.

We will. Director Lu Fei is taking good control of this.

We will also take good care of it,

Don't worry. It will definitely be a good movie.

Okay.

Hand over the report of the progress and budget for the movie

as soon as possible. I will go over there to take a look.

Watch it.

When we start later, pan the camera slowly

and maintain the speed later.

After that, do a close up.

Okay, let's start.

Get ready.

Roll the cameras.

Scene five, take three.

Start.

Xin Chen, eat something.

Uncle Kai Yu.

Uncle, didn't I tell you not to approach me when we are filming?

Uncle Kai Yu...

Eat this after you have finished your filming.

Sorry, sorry.

Uncle Kai Yu, it's okay. Give this to me first.

You want to eat, too? I will cook one for you, too.

We will eat after we are done filming. Put it aside first.

Sorry, I don't know much about the filming process.

It's okay.

Who is he?

He is Xin Chen's uncle. He is the owner of this house.

We borrowed this location from him.

It's okay. Let's do it again.

Xin Chen's uncle?

Sorry about that.

It's okay.

Secretary Wang.

There was a jump from investment. Prepare the data of the new case from the recent investment.

Prepare it for me. I'm meeting him tomorrow.

Okay.

Also, is there any news from the board members?

Director Wang met them two days ago.

They went out to have a meal after that.

Director Wang?

Check if there is any way to find out what they talked about.

Okay, I will think of a way.

Boss!

You are here.

Thank you.

Looking for me?

I didn't have time to visit the filming location.

Hence, I would like to ask you about the situation of the filming.

Are you asking about Xin Chen?

Smart devil.

It's going very well now.

It's just that the female lead is a bit rusty.

But don't worry, with Director Lu Fei there,

I believe she will make rapid progress very soon.

It's good that there are no problems.

Don't worry. Director Wang also praised her acting.

Who did you say?

Director Wang, he praised her acting.

Director Wang went there?

He brought a lot of people there and also lots of food for us

just to push for the progress of the filming.

Who did he bring?

I don't know them.

They should be investors.

They were very interested in the island.

Gao Mei, thank you for letting us use your academy.

Why are you so formal with me?

Anyway, I don't use it in the evenings.

It will be fine as long as Director could give me some more parts.

Okay, I won't disturb the both of you anymore.

I don't want to be blamed for being in the way.

Enjoy yourselves in your world.

Bye-bye.

It's just like

that year when we sneaked in here to practice our dance.

Let's start then. I'm going to change first.

Xin Chen, will you blame me?

Blame you for what?

Blame me for asking perfection from you.

Aren't you like this?

But talking about this,

I'm very lazy.

If there is no one to encourage me,

I may not even be able to take on the role of the stand-in.

It's just like that year.

Stop showing affection to an uninterested party.

Why are you still sitting there? Put on the music.

Yes, Ma'am.

Okay.

Great.

Not bad.

Speed it up.

Good.

What's going on? Why did you stop?

I'm tired. I would like a break.

We just started.

Director Lu Fei, I have also shot for the whole day.

You can't treat me like a robot. Can you be more sympathetic?

Okay. Then, let's...

This is the famous Director Lu Fei.

Return it to me.

Nice features and tall.

Talented and good looking.

Return it to me.

I thought you only knew how to direct others behind the camera.

Isn't that right? You should experience this.

It's not that easy to be in front of a camera, right?

Thus, in the future, stop criticizing others.

Understand?

Understand? Understand? Understand?

Yes, Schoolmate Xin Chen.

Why don't we first

change our identities?

I will be the director and you will dance.

Be more elegant.

- I will dance and you will film? - Of course.

I will dance?

Impossible.

- Dance on your own. - If you don't dance, I won't film anymore.

I'm not dancing. Dance on your own.
