Hotel King

You…

Who are you?

[EP15 Hotel King]

Why are you here Mr. Vice Chairman?

I was worried about you...

...because you suddenly disappeared from my party.

I came to check on you.

Were you with him?

I'm sorry I can't thank you enough...

...for your thoughtful gift.

It felt so good to see my friends again.

Thank you.

You murderer...

Oh no...

I can’t believe...

...such a scary word came out of your pretty lips.

I heard everything...

…including what you did to my father.

You’re finished.

You aren’t the one who pushed him…

…but you still killed him.

Even if...

…what you’re saying is true…

It seems some recorded a private conversation between us...

...and is playing with it.

Is that right?

Mo Ne.

Jae Wan's voice is on it too.

Why do you keep ignoring the truth?

Do you really think that...

...a boy I’ve sponsored for many years met your father coincidently?

Someone gave your father that medicine.

Someone hid Dr. Yoon from you.

It was all Jae Wan.

Answer me Jae Wan.

Aren’t I telling the truth?

Stop.

Shut your mouth.

Yes you’re right.

Poor Mo Ne...

...seems very shocked.

How do you assist the chairman?

You're...

...crazy.

Okay.

Thank you...

...for congratulating me Mo Ne.

I don’t mind even if you report it to the police.

I'm not...

...worried about anything...

...as long as I’m with the general manager.

This is what's been going on right?

You could have told me.

It hurts you.

You’d be hurt too.

Tell me that it's all lies…

…and I’ll trust you.

If…

No it has to be true.

Even if you contributed to my father's death...

...it's only because he threatened you.

Lee Jung Ku kept beating you and threating you.

- You were compelled to do it. - If so…

…could you forgive me?

No you never did anything.

Yes I did.

It’s all the truth.

The person who intentionally approached your father...

...the person who gave him that medicine...

...and the person who hid Dr. Yoon until the end...

...was me.

Why?

What did my father ever do to you?

You must have...

...a reason.

There’s no reason. I just did it.

No reason?

You’re a bastard.

You and Lee Jung Ku…

I won't forgive either of you.

I'll report you to the police right away.

I'll make you pay for what you've done.

Is this the police station?

I have someone here who helped murder my father.

He's a bastard who tried to seduce me the victim's daughter afterward.

Now he's trying to ruin my hotel.

You can throw him in jail for thirty years...

No the rest of his life for that can't you?

Come and get him now. I mean right now!

The number you have dialed is not in the directory.

Please check the number and call again.

The number you have dialed is not in the directory.

Please check the number and call again.

Bella was the woman I loved most in the world…

…but now there’s someone I love more…

…so I don’t need her anymore.

Please be nice to her.

I’m sorry.

You didn’t do anything wrong.

You must be hurt.

What should I do?

I can’t fix you.

What if you die because of me?

Don’t die.

Don’t die.

I’m so sorry.

Look carefully.

The boss you killed is in that coffin.

Even if you go back there...

...you'll still be a murderer Jaden.

Do you still want to go back?

Good.

You made the right choice.

Then come with me.

Let’s go.

Wait a moment.

Ju Wan…

Please let Ju Wan come with me.

He isn’t your real brother.

I promised him we'd be together.

We can’t be apart from each other.

He has to come with me.

I’ll go get him quickly.

You’re already dead to them.

How many times do I have to tell you for you to understand?

I told Ju Wan that you’re dead too.

He'll be adopted by a good family soon.

Don’t worry about him.

The murderer Jaden is dead.

Cha Jae Wan.

That's your new name.

Look at this carefully…

...and remember what you did with it.

Don’t ever forget this Jaden.

You wouldn’t be the one...

...who gave that recorder to Mo Ne.

So who was it?

Well.

She should know just a conversation...

...can’t prove anything right?

Don’t worry.

Everything will be alright.

Okay.

Father.

The cruelest thing that...

...you’ve done to me...

...hasn't been the lying or threatening.

It’s the fact that...

...you've had me with you until now.

I'd like you to report sales status to me...

...on a daily basis at the team leader meeting every morning.

Also about the guest room promotion we’ve planned to have this fall…

- …let’s move it forward. - Yes.

If you have new proposals to increase sales come to me anytime.

Okay.

For the restaurant...

...we'll start the promotion for guests with families.

Okay thank you.

Dear guest you might get hurt running around like that.

Boy.

You always have to be careful with people like him...

…who are kind to you with no reason.

Is he a bad person?

Of course. He's a scary two-faced man.

Be careful.

Mom!

Ms. Chairman.

Ms. Chairman.

Even if you have a personal issue…

…you shouldn’t talk to guests like that...

I'm doing it to protect my guests.

This is Ciel.

You should just go back to Vegas...

...if you're that unconditionally loyal to the general manager.

What’s going on?

Are you still fighting her on the peer review thing?

We’ll be late to the meeting.

Sit.

What says you should stand up for the GM...

...when the chairman's in the room?

This meeting was hosted by the GM too..

Sales reports promotion planning employee statuses...

Is there anything that's irrelevant to me Mr. General Manager?

No.

- About the summer culture event… - Culture event?

I didn't know you were interested in such things.

It's a Ciel tradition for guests who spend...

- ...their summer vacations with us. - I thought...

...you were a man who didn't care about tradition.

You divided you staff according to their backgrounds...

...in the name of your new system.

I’d like you to report to me complaints from staff...

...who receive unfair treatment from the GM Manager Jang.

Me?

Ah asking me to do that is really...

Well it's just a little awkward for me.

Do as the chairman asked you to do Manager Jang.

We’re having a meeting now so I’ll hear your assessment of me later.

Did you control Ciel by exceeding your authority like this...

...when my father the former chairman was here too?

Did you use his illness as an excuse?

Ms. Chairman I’m sorry but…

…the general manager's top priority is...

- ...always at the hotel. - No.

It isn’t the hotel but himself.

Listen to me carefully.

I value the social responsibility of our hotel as much as its sales.

In that vein I'm planning a cultural performance for charity next weekend.

I’ll give you more information about it through Cha Su Wan…

…so prepare for it well.

The meeting is over.

Ok let's get out.

Do you want my letter of resignation?

Is that what you want?

No.

What I want...

...is for you to suffer as much as me and my father.

Prison wouldn't be punishment enough for you and Lee Jung Ku.

I'll keep you here with me and make you suffer.

If you're human...

...it'll hurt you at least a little.

You seem more hurt than I am.

"Did you control Ciel by exceeding your authority like this..."

"...when my father the former chairman was here too?"

It was a missile attack from the chairman. Boom!

With dynamite! Ka boom!

And nuclear warheads! Blam blam boom!

Thing is the general manager let her attack him...

...even without his armor on.

There could only be one reason for that.

A woman is at her scariest when her love turns into hatred.

There's another woman.

I think there’s something between the GM and Ms. Song Chae Kyung.

When they look at each other it’s so different.

You'd know if you'd ever been in a similar situation.

Stop making up stories.

This is how groundless rumors spread.

No no.

It's the most reliable and sensible assumption she's made...

...in her 483 days of working here at Ciel.

I knew that the general manger…

…was a seductive homme fatale...

...who wouldn't reject a woman coming on to him...

...so he's a bad man.

That sounds like even worse than just a bad man.

Have you heard anything about it Woo Hyun?

Mr. Go was right. This is how rumors get started.

They're just trying to separate love and work.

They look more and more respectable to me the more I hear.

What a boring and uninteresting audience he is.

Go on. Leave quickly.

I’ll never tell you about what I’ve seen again.

I got to go anyways.

What? Yeah go on!

Keep going alone…

...over the river and mountains.

What are you doing here?

Why did you give me the recorder?

You could have taken it straight to the police.

Why… Why did you give it to me?

Stand up.

Who do you want to attack?

The vice-chairman who pretended to be a good friend to your father?

The general manager who tempted you with sweet words and used you?

Or…

...yourself...

...who couldn't do anything against him because you still feel something for him?

Stop criticizing me.

It hurts.

I told you not to trust anyone regardless of who it was.

Too bad.

Some part of your heart still trusts him.

No I don’t trust him.

But...

...I don't know what to do because I feel he hurts more than I do.

It's like...

...he bleeds when I shed tears.

It's just a delusion of your vain love...

...that you fabricated because you still want to trust him.

You need to work on yourself a lot more.

Go now.

The charity event?

Mo Ne only thinks about how to waste money...

...instead of how to improve sales.

Our guest recognize Ciel for its eco-friendly environment.

A sudden casino launching might be seen as antagonistic.

If we want to avoid a negative perception...

…we need to work on Ciel’s image.

Right now...

...you saying that makes me doubt you.

Use your wife this time.

You're the husband of the well-known social worker Yoon Ji Won.

You sponsor poor and...

...abandoned children.

If you take too long to think about it it'll be too late.

Is that right?

Then let’s do it.

As much as you trust me you’ll see my loyalty.

I’ve never betrayed you since the moment we made our deal.

What did you just say? A contract?

Yes.

The CEO of Woo Jin Farm invited the vice chairman...

…and the general manager to his farm at 5 o’clock today...

...I think they're going to conclude the sale agreement.

Are you sure about this?

Yes.

I saw it when I checked...

...the GM's schedule after another VIP's dinner invitation.

I thought you should know about it.

I’ll go with you.

It’s okay.

Are you uncomfortable with me?

No.

But if you're with me...

...it'll put you in an uncomfortable situation...

...so don't follow me.

You wanted me to tell her because you anticipated this reaction didn't you?

Today...

I feel like I’m working for two general managers.

What I really think...

…is that you wouldn’t harm her...

...regardless how you change.

It's the same for the chairman.

I thought that our conversation was over last time.

I heard that you decide to sell the land to the vice chairman.

I don’t know why...

...I have to bear this kind of insult from you.

Go back now.

I can't let you have a contract with him.

You can’t stop me even by doing this.

This isn’t your hotel.

Leave before I kick you out.

I won’t give up on you either.

What are you doing in here?

I’m working here legitimately with permission from my supervisor.

Do you know her?

I didn't think she could do it because she looks weak but...

...she's doing much better than I thought.

If you sign that contract...

...you'll have to see me every day for the rest of your life...

…because I’ll follow you everywhere and bother you forever.

Do as you wish.

Get over here right now and get your crazy chairman out of here.

Huh? Why are you here?

Let’s go.

Why are you doing work like this here Ms. Chairman?

Anyone can do this kind of work.

You told me you even paid off your tuition this way too.

This isn’t going to work with the CEO of this farm.

He doesn't care about anything but money.

Not even his own family.

That’s why I have to do whatever I can do.

You won't finish by tonight at this rate Ms. Chairman.

Guys.

Let’s eat.

You're a good eater.

Eat this.

Here.

What a terrible son.

He smiles in front of her.

Well.

CEO Sun has changed a lot.

He doesn’t dare to ask us to come to his farm.

We're the ones who are more desperate now.

What the… Who is this?

It’s the chairman.

Damn it. Why is she here?

Let’s take a detour.

What now?

What are you doing Mr. Sun Woo Hyun?

I wondered who it was. Now I recognize him.

Ms. Chairman.

You have a very loyal staff.

I'll let you back out...

...so why not go back to the hotel Mr. Vice Chairman?

Ms. Chairman.

This kind of mischief can be dangerous.

You shouldn’t do it.

What are you doing?

Any more of this and I'll report you to the police.

Sure go ahead.

I have a lot to report to them myself.

What are you doing?

Get her and her car out of here.

Don’t touch her!

If you touch a single hair on her...

...you'll be left with just a pile of money...

...instead of your son.

Dealing with business matters emotionally like this...

...is what's gotten you into so much trouble.

If you want join us for the meeting.

Is that okay with you?

Ah yes of course.

Let’s go in.

Thank you for what you’ve done Sun Woo Hyun.

You can go on.

I don’t want you to fall into the ditch with me.

Okay.

Beat them for sure.

Both parties want my property…

…so I’m in an awkward situation.

From my perspective...

...I don’t care what the land becomes...

...a casino or a cultural park.

I just want to sell it.

CEO Sun.

You shouldn’t do this to us right before signing the contract.

Then would you give up the land?

No way.

I’ll pay...

...$100000 more per acre.

Just as I thought this is all about money.

I’ll pay $300000 more.

We’ll pay $800000 more. How’s that?

$1000000.

- $1300000. - $1500000.

$2000000.

Mr. General Manager!

We desperately need this land.

This land is worth it regardless of the current market value.

$2500000.

Do you have any idea what your proposed price adds up to?

I wonder if you're thinking about changing the hotel with this land.

Stop now.

Let's take a little break...

...and then talk again rationally.

Go ahead.

Stop it.

I’d like you to stop it.

If you go any further I’ll expose who you are to the world.

If we argue the vice chairman was just drunk when he said it...

…he’ll be released on lack of evidence...

...and you'll just be the troublesome chairman to the public again.

You haven't reported it yet because you know that right?

Do you really think that's why...

...I haven't reported you?

I don't care what your reasons are.

Please.

I’d begging you...

...Mr. General Manager.

Please stop here.

If you want I’ll…

Your request is rejected.

Whatever you do...

...you can't win against me and the vice chairman.

Unless you want to lose the hotel too…

...you'd best give up and stay quiet.

Wow.

I look so shiny today.

Am I really looking at Jang Ho Il?

I just want to fall into the mirror.

They made the perfect choice.

In terms of both appearance and a sense of humor…

…I’m the perfect show host.

Didn’t you volunteer for it?

It seems like you want to be on my bad side recently.

The hotel suddenly decided to have a charity event tomorrow...

…so I volunteered for the job in the spirit of self-sacrifice.

Over here!

Hello.

I’m the new rising star of Korea Noah with a pretty voice!

I...

...like...

...you!

- Woo! - Oh God!

You’re so sexy!

- That's enough you trash. - Woah.

Ms. Kim Manager Jang has a crush on you.

Oh my! Really?

Get out of the way more trash.

Sun Myeong Jae!

Sun Myeong Jae! Sun Myeong Jae!

How dare he ask me to bring...

...a revised contract for $250000 more per acre?

Jesus Christ.

By the way why was Mo Ne there?

And who the hell is that concierge?

Fire him right away.

Okay.

You know his personality well.

Why did you increase the bid like that?

What the hell were you thinking?

You know Ah Mo Ne’s temper.

If I hadn't stopped her like that we don't know what she would have done.

That land will be our goldmine with the casino soon.

Please be patient.

Ha! That old man's just like a raccoon.

How dare he try to swindle me for this land?

Darn it.

Please calm down and get some rest today.

I’ll come tomorrow to pick you up for the rehearsal.

Have you prepared well for the event?

Yes.

It’s all done.

You’re here.

What are you doing?

You told me to call you if anything happened to me.

It's just a delusion of your vain love...

...that you fabricated because you still want to trust him.

This trust...

You made it up alone…

…regardless of my feelings.

You shouldn't have trusted me in the first place.

Don’t trust me…

…ever.

What are you doing?

Why?

Do you think it’s unfair?

Does it hurt?

If you're done releasing your anger then go.

It’s your turn.

- Are you crazy? - Yes I am.

I’m crazy.

It's because of a man...

...who I can't report to the police even though I know he killed my father.

I’m a bad daughter right?

It’s only because of a man…

...like you.

That’s right.

You’re crazy.

You were ridiculously easy to seduce.

Since you know the truth now then stop doing this and go.

I’m tired of you.

You’re a bastard.

Thank you…

…for giving me...

...a reason to attack you.

Yes.

Prepare as I told you.

After tomorrow’s show is over...

...I’ll close the deal with the condition you requested.

Why are you alone? Where’s Jae Wan?

Who is that?

Is this how your love is going?

You dumped him for sure right?

Then I’ll go get him.

Don’t ask me to give him back again.

Take him or get rid of him.

Do whatever you want.

I told you from the beginning he wasn't a man you could handle.

Don’t judge me like that. You don't know anything.

I know one thing.

I don’t want to admit this but...

…you’re the only woman...

...Cha Jae Wan loves enough to risk his life for.

I thought I was the only one who could see his pain...

...but he told me you see it too. Not just that but you comfort him.

He's happy because of you.

That’s why I gave up on him.

Letting go of him now would be...

...worse than not holing out your hand in the first place.

Don’t regret it.

I won’t let you steal him from me again.

Is the magician already here?

Yes.

He's waiting for us.

Do you feel alright now?

Second Loman Lee.

He owns real estate not just in major U.S. cities...

…but in Hong Kong Macao Japan and Europe too.

He’s a millionaire.

We can't underestimate the scale of his assets.

He was close with your father for a long time too.

He's one of Ciel's major investors.

He’s currently quite interested in the casino project.

I'm sorry I was so rude to you last time.

I wanted to contact you anyways.

What are your conditions for...

...being on my side rather than the vice chairman's?

Wow slow down.

This isn't something we can discuss here.

Would you like to have lunch with me?

Oh!

The last one.

Would you like to try it Mr. General Manager?

I'm only asking because people always doubt it when I do it.

Sure why not?

He said people are always suspicious...

...so why don't you try it huh?

You saw how I did it.

Slide it in straight and don’t bend it.

Here.

Oh!

If I put it in like this would it kill him?

Don’t do it. It’s dangerous.

Do it just like I showed you. Slide it in perfectly horizontal.

All at once.

Oh is that right?

Hey just do what he showed you.

You startled me!

You did it well though.

I’d like to ask you Mr. General Manager.

Please stop here.

If you want I’ll…

Your request is rejected.

Yes I am.

I’m crazy.

It's because of a man...

...who I can't report to the police even though I know he killed my father.

I’m a bad daughter right?

It’s only because of a man…

...like you.

Did you call me?

Yes.

Where were you?

I came from a breakfast meeting with a VIP.

Is there anything you want me to do?

No.

Actually...

...there was but not anymore.

Sorry.

The chairman is...

…with Loman Lee in Haemil Restaurant.

Did she have an appointment with him?

I’m not sure but…

…I think they scheduled the meeting personally.

This is our most popular menu item...

...but I don't know if it will suit the chairman's tastes.

I didn't expect to try Haemil's food while I was in Korea.

What’s going on Mr. General Manager?

He has a meeting with me here.

Have a seat please.

She looks quite serious.

I mean Ah Mo Ne.

Let’s talk comfortably now.

You said you want to have a deal with me right?

Please tell me what you want from me in order to work with me.

That's a dangerous comment Mr. General Manager.

I’m a very skilled investor.

It means I have the insight to distinguish...

...what's profitable or not in terms of business.

So money is the issue here too.

No. It's not.

The first condition of my investment isn’t the money but…

...the person who uses my funds.

Could you explain that more straightforwardly?

Whether you’re trustworthy or not…

Whether or not you're someone who will use my investment well...

These are the things I have to know before I give you my answer.

I can't just invest in your passion and ideals.

Trust is...

...a very meaningless thing sometimes.

In that case I'll show you...

…what kind of person I am.

Well for today...

...I can see that you like food...

...and I enjoy eating with you.

If you’re available this weekend…

…would you like to show me around?

It’s boring just to stay in the hotel.

It’d be my pleasure.

Yes I had lunch.

I’m almost there.

I’m going in.

Are you looking for me?

It looks like your desperately searching for me.

This place isn’t open to guests...

...unless there’s a special occasion.

I mean it's more awkward for you to be here than it is for me.

Ah is that right?

I guess I got lost since this hotel's so big.

Are you enjoying playing word games with me?

It didn’t work.

I think you were the one...

...toying with me first by following me.

What is your reason...

...to approaching the chairman after I warned you not to?

Let me just say it was personal interest.

I'm warning you this time.

I don’t…

...do business with people who don't trust me.

If you follow me...

...or have anyone else tail me again...

…our business will be over.

Is that you Mr. General Manager?

Are you the one chatting in the hallway outside the seminar room?

If I disturbed you I’m sorry.

Sir this place is a staff-only facility.

The door is over there.

Excuse me.

See you later.

Wide far-set eyes with dark eyebrows...

...and a particularly developed nose and chin...

He may look easy but he's smart and meticulous.

It's difficult to know what he's thinking.

Be careful with him.

Okay.

The general manager followed you here.

That's not a mistake you would make.

I didn’t know he would tail me.

I’m sorry.

It’s okay. Don’t loosen up.

Okay I got it.

Ah.

Ah Mo Ne is more passionate person than I thought.

She's willing to give me her shares in Ciel...

…if I promise her the investment.

To put it nicely she’s naive.

To put it plainly she’s a dumb.

You should get all of her shares.

Yes I will.

Thank you.

You don’t need to.

[Charity Event for Children]

Be careful about safety concerns and the seating arrangement for the kids.

Yes.

When do you want me to start with vice chairman Lee Jung Ku?

It's already started.

He wants me to be a magician?

Magic!

What is this?

[Hello Mr. Vice-Chairman.]

[This is Mi Yeon Baek Mi Yeon. It's been a while hasn't it?]

What?

This is absurd!

Baek Mi Yeon is already dead!

Who was it?

Who the hell was it?

Darn it!

The event will start in ten minutes.

I’m not going.

If you want to go then go alone.

The staff doesn’t know anything.

I think it's better for you to go and cheer them on for a good performance.

Are you asking me to join the vice chairman's show or what?

The vice chairman’s show...

...should be more interesting than you think.

The general manager prepared a lot for it.

Cha Su Wan.

I know you're his official spy...

…but can’t you tell from my face that...

...you should be careful mentioning him right now?

I'm just telling you the facts.

It's up to you to make a decision.

Wow.

She’s just like someone who teases me and leaves me after.

You’re Cha Jae Wan’s sister right?

Why is he embracing her?

They don’t look good together.

They look unnatural.

They look awkward.

They fail for sure.

By the way don’t I look weird?

No you look good.

Have you memorized the directions I gave you earlier?

I’m not sure.

The most important thing is just following my lead...

…so don’t be too nervous and just do as we practiced.

I'll treat you to a nice dinner later.

Today’s highlight…

...is a special magic show...

- …with Vice Chairman Lee Jung Ku! - Do I go out now?

Magic show!

Hello I’m the magician Choi Hyun Woo.

It’s nice to meet you all!

Thank you.

I’m here with a special magician for you today.

Please give him a big hand!

I’ll light a fire.

It’s burning nicely.

Watch carefully. The fire will be…

Look!

If you say the magic word then...

Wow!

Candies!

Here here.

You’re so pretty.

There's my Da Bae too!

Oh right.

Candy for you!

Are you satisfied with this candy?

No right?

This amazing magician has brought...

...special gifts for you.

If you count "one two three"...

...then you'll see something amazing here.

Let’s do it together.

Let’s start.

One two three!

Open it!

There are toys inside!

Be careful be careful!

Oh no kiddies!

Ow ow!

It’s okay it’s okay.

You're all so cute!

Alright alright.

Aww…

Are you okay?

What stupid kids they are.

They shouldn’t run to me like that.

My leg hurts darn it.

Still the children were quite pleased.

That's enough. you can stop.

Actually only the poor ones...

...go crazy over tricks like that.

Oh my.

I thought you loved children.

They’re the ones who beg you to love them.

They’re impolite and dirty.

Darn it. I’m sick of them.

They're just like beggars.

They're only thinking about how to get the pennies out of my pockets.

No! I'm not a beggar!

Kids! Kids!

Please listen to me!

Honey!

Are you even the man I know?

Honey what’s going on?

What happened?

Ah ah ah!

Wait.

This is a misunderstanding!

Hello!

It's not what you think!
