How you guys doing?

so I thought, you know --

we cover all different types of investigations.

Some we laugh, some we cry, some we scream.

But other ones are really like controversial.

There's a lot of questions that you have

after you watch a lot of our investigations.

So I think that it's time

to dig in deep into one of these controversial investigations.

I think I know that one. Really?

And that's why I decided to choose

"demons in seattle."

-oh, yeah. -I knew it. I knew it.

Zak: The ghost adventures crew

has traveled to seattle to investigate a home

that has made headlines for its rampant volume

of highly-charged poltergeist activity.

Why would we think twice about going here?

Actually, I heard about this from dave.

Dave schrader. He's a friend of ours.

He tipped us off to this.

You sent me over this whole case,

this news clip of this guy

claiming that his house is extremely haunted by demons.

I remember going into this one

and the information he was saying,

the things that were happening... Aaron: Were nuts.

And once these claims came out,

I mean, they were like... Incredible.

Yeah, these demons are doing all kinds of crazy things

that I've never heard of before.

The videos -- just everything.

Yeah, right here. This part. Yeah. It got news attention.

Reporter: Keith and his girlfriend moved in two years ago.

He says items started moving, flying.

Bibles still burn...

This is not a casper-type ghost.

Reporter: ...And this is no ordinary bothell house.

Jay: Just think, like, the fear, though.

If that is going on --

a bible setting on fire and burning.

It's terrifying.

And then after talking to the guy,

this family really seems to need help,

and they've been reaching out to religious dioceses...

They have? Clergy's been there? ...Everybody, trying to get help.

Nobody will help.

That's why I wanted to talk to you about it.

I wanted to have you guys come out and investigate this case.

alright, so here we are.

We're getting ready to arrive to the house,

and now our senses are fully open,

our eyes are honed in on the people.

-Yeah. -Right.

Zak: Keith linder is the renter

of this bothell home.

What is going on with their eye contact?

How are they acting?

How are they giving me the information?

How many bibles have mysteriously been

set ablaze in your house?

Three bibles have been burned in the house.

We were sleeping on a Sunday night

and the fire alarms went off in the house.

I run out that door,

and there at my feet was the bible open.

Linder: You're seeing fire, close it...

...And when I opened it, that's where this was.

Can I see it? Yeah.

This is part of an investigation,

right, reading people.

So this was burnt, too? Yeah.

Do you know what burning a cross means?

Not good. It ain't good.

my first question was -- if it's this crazy,

why are you still here?

I mean, I know not everyone can just get up and move, but...

Yeah, I mean,

even if you're renting something,

I mean, if it's at this level... Yeah, yeah.

I would be out.

Moving is simple,

still living and breathing,

I still maintain a 9:00 to 5:00,

so I think we're pretty grounded spiritually, mentally.

But under no stretch of the budget has it been easy.

Well, some people I know financially can't leave. Right.

It's not that easy, so I gave that to him.

I will say, can you get out of a lease

if your house is incredibly haunted?

Aaron: I don't know. You know, there's new laws happening now,

where, like, you have to state if it's haunted... Right.

Especially if you're buying a house,

they have to let you know if there's --

what? Are you being serious? Yeah, dead serious. Yeah. Yeah.

A law that says if you buy a haunted house. If there is supposed haunting of the house...

In some states. ...They have to let you know if you're gonna buy it.

Zak: Over the past several months,

keith has spent countless hours

documenting what appears to be an endless barrage

of paranormal events.

We know spirits can be manipulative and tricky.

Linder: This happened less than an hour ago.

So we need to dig deeper

to see if the negative energy in the home

is affecting keith in a way he doesn't understand.

I mean, it is just trashed,

the activity seemed overboard,

but we were still listening. Right.

We're not making any accusation and any conclusions.

I just want to hear him out.

Absorb everything.

This is where the candles have been thrown.

It's throwing the objects

that you're trying to use to get rid of it.

Zak: So you're telling me that these holes in the walls

are being caused by the objects

that these ghosts are throwing. Right.

So, it'll throw the candles. It'll throw --

we've had several crosses thrown off the wall

to back up his claim,

keith shares with us evidence where he states an evil spirit

is throwing glass objects

against this wall just off camera.

where this object gets thrown. Right.

Zak: While we need to further analyze this footage,

if this is the work of some dark force,

then we may be involved in a haunting

unlike anything we've ever experienced.

linder: And this is the room outside of the hallway

that has the most activities.

Zak: Who wrote all this?

This is what the entity wrote -- everything in black.

So you're telling me that this demonic entity

wrote these images on your walls and your closet doors.

And has done it three times previously.

I don't know about that stuff

spray painted on the wall, man.

I just -- that to me, that's when you lost me.

And you don't think anybody's breaking into your house

and doing this to you? No.

Yeah, it's almost too much. It's just -- come on.

You don't believe that you've ever been

fully possessed in this house?

Never been possessed, no.

Now, we've had feelings.

I mean, I don't know if that's being possessed.

I've had, like, something -- [ whooshes ]

shoot through you. Shoot through you.

We have saged through the whole house. Doesn't that kind of look like bed liner?

You know what I'm talking about? The white nozzle. Oh, like the spray?

Yeah, like the spray textured paint. Kind of, yeah.

I went to go take a shower,

and about four minutes of getting in the shower,

the alarms went off.

[ fire crackling ]

when I get to the front door

and as I'm trying to open it,

the door is like cemented, welded shut.

Like something was trying to keep you in a burning house?

Linder: Something was trying -- in a burning house.

I run back upstairs

and find the source of the smoke

in my office.

If that was happening, you'd run out.

His demeanor to me is kind of suspect. That's the bottom line. 'cause everything

he's talking about, it sounds like this is trying to kill him. Yeah.

You know what I mean? And this poster

is burning.

Nothing else. Nothing behind it.

And I take my towel...

Geez. That doesn't look like a fire to me, personally.

What happens when the firemen get here?

They were at their wits end as to what caused the fire.

Yes, demons have been known to cause fires,

but it's -- I mean,

this is just...

The most activity at its most extreme level...

That you've ever heard of from any case. ...That I've ever heard of.

Zak: Keith's girlfriend, tina,

lives with him here at the home.

Zak: What have you seen with your own eyes?

I've seen potted plants fly,

all my cabinets' doors open,

this little room completely turned upside down.

What were your thoughts on her? Yeah.

I think that if...

Any typical woman was living in a place

and her house was burning down, things flying around... [ whistles ]

...I don't think you'd be able to sleep

in that house ever again. No. You'd be out.

If this entity is demonic,

how have you or your boyfriend

haven't been possessed

or in a state of oppression?

You have to understand what's going on

and be aware of [indistinct].

When you allow yourself to become weakened by it,

I think you can become possessed by it.

She just didn't seem legitimately scared

to me at all, just like keith. Yeah.

Tell me about the time where you and keith

were in a panic and drove to a church.

Lovelle: I had called down to the catholic church in seattle.

They didn't believe.

I got told that we were out of their jurisdiction.

That's gonna be tough when you're having stuff happen

and the church denies you

for stuff that's like -- or just anybody denies you.

Some people, it's tough to... Right.

...You know, convince people

that this stuff's really happening. Yeah.

But, I mean, at this point,

we're still listening to these people.

You know, it's... Yeah.

Zak: We speak to someone who has investigated here.

As a third party, were hoping their perspective

will offer some insight

into the claims made by keith and tina.

This evidence is off the charts.

Is this really going on here? Oh, yeah.

It started my sage stick on fire.

That night is when it started the bible on fire.

I think sometimes when we don't know

these other investigators and these psychics,

a lot of them are very, very much influenced

by the hysteria of it.

-Right. -Definitely.

That doesn't look like someone just spray painted

that stuff on it? No, no, you can't spray -- no, uh-uh.

And so they themselves are going in there

looking for anything

to really kind of, you know... Mm-hmm. Yeah.

and that's kind of what I was picking up, too.

Zak: We regroup with keith to see what he believes

is the source of the activity here.

The one thing I have to ask, though,

is do you have any idea why this might be going on?

I mean, I know there's no murders here,

there's no death here.

We did find that the --

I mean, there was a lot of native american history

previously in this land back in the 1800s.

Do you think an evil indian spirit

would be writing 6-6-6?

Yeah, I think there is something of a demonic nature

only because the things that have happened.

If there's a demonic infestation in a house

and we're investigating it... You feel it.

...You can damn well guarantee

that we are going to sense it.

We are going to feel it.

Not only will we just feel it when we're in the house --

did I just spit? Did you see that? A little bit.

Yeah, a little bit. [ chuckles ] that was a lot.

Like, I just -- did you see that? I didn't see it.

Zak: We speak to a representative

of the local duwamish tribe,

though she can only speak for the history of her tribe.

This is what she tells us.

Hansen: Our people lived along the waters.

We have no records of our people

living in the bothell area.

You know, if you're gonna come up with something

about why the place is demonically haunted,

you're gonna say, what? Native american burial ground...

It's like the stereotypical movie plot.

Look, and you know what, we have run into that. Yeah, it does happen.

We have run into, you know,

being in native american lands,

and, yes, some of those native american lands

are very sacred,

and they were sacred to those people when they were alive.

I believe in that. We've run into that countless times. Yep.

Zak: What's happening in this house

may be one of the most powerful hauntings

that america's ever heard.

We want to capture this.

We want to see this happen.

We have to capture our own proof.

I think that we would have to experience it

if it happens as much as you say.

and talking about it because it's important

we haven't had a chance, talk about it, either.

Well, it's important for us to watch this.

I've never seen anything like this before.

There's 6-6-6

and these satanic symbols

written all over the wall.

Like some kid got off the street with a spray paint can

and just went crazy with graffiti on his office.

If you were in that house

and you see 6-6-6

and all this written in the same room

where apparently a poster mysteriously caught on fire

and smoke filled the house and you couldn't get outside --

this force was keeping you in there trying to kill you --

why wouldn't they leave?

The girlfriend said that she's absolutely terrified.

She will not go in that room,

but yet she'll sleep 10 feet away from it.

I don't go up there.

I don't go into that room.

How could you stay in that house when you're just renting it?

Even me! Even me! -Right.

A guy who's done so many demon investigations

lived in a house that I had to move out of

because it was so bad.

One thing I just thought of, too,

when we were talking about the graffiti

is that you have 6-6-6, which is known as demonic,

and then you have these other symbols

which I actually researched and looked them up,

and they're native american symbols that mean "man."

it's weird that you would have demonic 6-6-6

with a native american symbol.

Jay, you always come up with good points.

You think, historically, it would be like one or the other.

You know, if it was the native american haunting,

like, it would just be focusing on those figures.

Yeah, I don't know about a native american

would start writing 6-6-6. [ overlapping agreements ]

like, those two just didn't go together for me.

Talking to a few of the people I know

that have been involved in assisting in real exorcists,

I was informed the fact that some people

that are dealing in oppression

and even in low levels of possession

will often do these things themself...

-That's what I said. -...Like they're in

a sleepwalking pattern. -That's what I said.

They have no clue. I asked him that on camera.

That would be the only way. That would be the only way. I just --

and that would explain spray painting

the sixes on the door.

You don't believe that you've ever been

fully possessed in this house?

Never been possessed, no.

You have this level

of demonic manifestation

and you're telling me

that neither of you have truly been affected

or you didn't feel like you're going through even oppressions?

-Yes. -Mm-hmm.

And you could see that. You see the fear inside.

Yeah. You could see it in their eyes.

You can see what's drained their energy over time.

You can see it. -If this is a hoax,

they're taking this really far. -Well, not only that.

Why would you burn a bible?

Have you ever heard of a bible being burned like that, zak?

I haven't seen it before. I mean, I've heard of bibles,

you know, manifesting on fire, but I've never seen it.

But what's interesting

is, like, if it is a demonic infestation,

it's gonna be a reaction to religious... Right.

If a demon is gonna burn a cross,

it's not gonna burn the bottom and the edges of it.

It's gonna burn the middle and destroy the whole thing.

Nothing was captured on camera.

It was all the aftermath or off-camera.

You're already investing in a handheld camera.

Why wouldn't you get cameras and catch this stuff happening?

Yeah, I would put security cameras everywhere.

There was just no footage of an object here on camera

taking flight and hitting.

Zak: We decide to review some of keith's documented evidence

with our focus on a clip

where he claims to have captured a moment

of this demonic force in action.

You're waiting for this to happen.

Coincidentally, it happens right on camera.

He just casually got up, went, and looked at it.

He didn't pan up to see if there's somebody standing there

and there's the end of the hall where somebody

can duck around. So we don't know

that somebody didn't do that and then cut out a frame.

Yeah, exactly. [ laughs ] see, dave didn't think --

yeah, even dave says he didn't pan up

to look down the hallway

and the demeanor so calm. If that happened,

wouldn't you be like, "holy [bleep], what was that?!"

right? And you jump up.

I can give him the benefit of the doubt.

He may have just been frozen in fear

and he couldn't say anything. Right.

Or shock. But his demeanor was very low

for a demon throwing a heavy object

and nearly going through the wall

and no commentary of anything.

Well, I mean, we have seen things like this occur.

Before our own eyes,

we've seen objects take flight.

We've seen fires manifest that island of the dolls...

That's true. ...With no explanation.

But it still just didn't feel right.

There was something not right.

I think in this case, we needed

to experience that, you know.

is what's really gonna yield us fact or fiction here.

We all came here to find out if this was real or not.

We're not leaving here until we find out, period.

zak: As we we're in the early stages of our investigation

at keith and tina's house,

the ir light on our camera suddenly goes out.

something just went off in the -- the ir light.

The what? The infrared light in the kitchen is off

you put new batteries in those?

Yeah, every time.

Zak: I quickly head downstairs into the kitchen

to see how far infrared light going out is a precursor

to any forthcoming paranormal activity.

You've been taking things for the last two years.

You got a stockpile.

So at this point, I'm just walking around.

I want to be in between them. I want to be near them.

I want to study their their body movements.

I'm not watching the house.

I'm watching her, and I'm watching keith.

At this point, I'm like, "okay,

they're not secretly throwing anything.

They're not going into areas where there's no cameras

and doing things.

So I'm just being patient.

I don't know what to expect at this point. Yeah.

We're still absorbing all elements of the investigation.

Zak: As I walk around with this couple in here,

it isn't as much the house that I feel negative energy from,

but rather a strong energy surrounding tina,

which makes me visibly stand offish.

Linder: Two car keys...

But this was one of the moments

that actually creeped me out

during this investigation, was right here.

...Kitchen utensils.

I did start feeling something from tina... Right.

...But I don't know tina personally. Right.

What's going on with tina, you know.

So we were in there for quite a long time,

and neither keith or tina

created any activity.

We gave them the opportunity to show us

how to trigger some of this demonic activity.

Nothing was triggered, so now it's our time

to see if we can collect any evidence.

Right now, keith and tina just left

and they say that this entity

gets angry when they leave.

So we're gonna act like home intruders

and go inside of their house, see what happens.

I really thought when they left,

it would've amped up and said a bunch of things. Me, too. Me, too.

This first hour after they were gone, I was like,

"here we go. Here we go."

You got four of them on tripods.

You throw wine bottles all over the place.

You could knock these over like feathers.

We're covering everywhere.

We're all over that house right now.

I was waiting for one of those things to fly at my head

or get pushed down the stairs or a fire to start.

You like to hide around the corner and throw [bleep]?

You don't want to do it when somebody standing

in the room with you?

So, dave decided to now use heavy provocation.

And typically, if he's in a home with a demonic infestation

and you are screaming at these spirits,

you are pissing them off... -Yeah.

They'll usually get you.

They will usually get you with something.

You got to leave these people alone.

This isn't your home. This isn't your realm.

my body senses no strange emotions,

no cold chills,

and no static type charges,

all of which, when I do feel them,

are indicators of spirit energy.

Hey, guys, we just lost the camera in the office.

Dave: You in the office?

zak: As we investigate the second floor of keith's home,

the x camera in his office just lost its signal.

Since this is the room with the supposed demonic markings,

I head inside to see what could be the source of the outage.

Dave: I'm not taunting you. I'm telling you how it is.

This isn't your home.

Now, something kind of happens. Right.

We have a camera

lose signal unexplainably.

Is this something?

Zak: Let me see if this is just the battery.

Aaron: It just went dead?

It's probably the battery.

A lot of this stuff starts happening like it's a chain reaction.

If we left the entire night

and that's all we captured the whole night,

I mean, that's not enough to say

that a demon caused our camera to go out.

If it's connected to a lot of other activity

or a lot of other events... Exactly.

...Then, yes, we'll factor that in.

Zak: It appears one of our camera batteries

has drained unexplainably.

However, we still have yet to capture any concrete proof

supporting the presence of a powerful poltergeist.

Aaron's emf sweep yield's normal baseline readings

with no fluctuations in temperature

and I capture zero visual evidence on our sls camera.

Dave: You know what I don't get, zak?

You'd think in a house that's this active,

that has this many claims of the paranormal --

it's like when you walk into a room after somebody's had a fight

and you have that thick feeling... A residue.

...And there's just nothing that feels a -- evil.

There doesn't even feel like there's a kinetic energy in the room.

Like, there's nothing here that feels...

...Like anything.

Gives you that, like, static charge feeling. Right, exactly.

When you don't get evidence sometimes --

when you go for two hours and you don't get anything,

We've only had a few times when we're just so mad

'cause we haven't got anything.

but when they were in there,

the energy around her.

and it looked like she was going right into your face.

When someone just pops up in your face in the dark...
