When a child does this,

But it often means

"I just went to the bathroom."

And it's so different
from my childhood in Scotland.

I spent a lot of my life
like this when I was a child

mainly going shoppin'
with my mother, like that.

Well, actually, I spent the time
walking like this

because my mother
had sewed my gloves together

with a piece of string,
but it wasn't..

But it was never
the right length

because she sewed it
to fit the coat

but not with me in it.

So when I put my hand up
like that

the other hand shot up
like this.

It went like this.

They took me to see
my grandmother and she said

"Give me a hug, son,"
and I went like that.

But the children here are
so different and I love them.

And when they leave, the place
looks like it's been attacked

by garden snails, those little
s-sticky trails that go..
