We're testing to see which dinosaur
had the greatest ramming power.
It think it's the triceratops.
She just chose that because it's her favorite dinosaur.

It's because it has three massive horns on it's head.
The Kosmoceratops has more horns.
It's because it's my favorite.
I'm predicting the Stygimoloch because
they have these incredibly thick domed heads that...
Hold on. Back up. Ramming power?
That's how much force an animal creates
when it rams into something.
-[yells] -Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Do you have to ram into clean clothes for this experiment?
Riley wanted to play knights
and I wanted to do a dino experiment.
So, we figured out a way to do both.
Which is why you're running into the laundry.
Exactly.
We're imagining we're medieval knights
challenging dinosaurs to an epic jousting battle.
The dinos don't know it's really
so we can test their ramming power.
You fooled them.
Okay. One question.
Can I play?
You can be the judge.

King Judge Dad.
[both laugh]
First ruling.
Do not charge the clean clothing.
Second ruling,
let the games begin!
Welcome Knight Riley
and Knight Dana
to the dino ramming
power tournament.
Each of you will face a dinosaur of your choosing.
Knight Riley,
you will joust the mighty horned triceratops.
[roars]
Yes.
And knight Dana, you will joust
the thick headed Stygimoloch.
[growls]
Perfect.
Whoever can um... wait...
How do we figure out who the winner is?
Whoever gets knocked off the worst.
But isn't the whole point of jousting to stay on the horse?
Not if you're testing ramming power.
We're trying to see which dino created the strongest force
when it hit something
so whoever gets knocked off the biggest, wins.
I'm sure that makes sense to you.
Okay, who's going first?
[both] Me!
Euplo, Titano, Rex?
What is that, a new dinosaur?
No, it's like rock, paper, scissors except with dinosaurs.
It's how we decide things.
[Dana] Let me explain.
Euoplocephalus uses its powerful tail club
to slam T-Rex.
[roars]
T-Rex uses its sharp teeth
to chomp up Titanoboa.
[roars]
Titanoboa, histories largest snake,
wraps around Euoplocephalus.
[hissing]
That's much clearer, thank you.

[all] One, two, three.
Euoplocephalus slams T-Rex.
I get to go first.
Then let the games begin!
Remember, Knight Riley.
If the triceratops...
[roars]
...knocks you off your horse
worse than Knight Dana,
then you win
the dino ramming power tournament.
The triceratops weighs as much as two rhinoceros
and has horns as long as my arm.
[roars]
I'm definitely going to get thrown off
worse than Knight Dana.

I would have thought the rhino dino moved faster.
In the dino world, bigger usually means slower.
At least it's what I'm counting on.

But not as bad as it's going to be
when I joust the Stygimoloch.

The Stygi is way smaller than the triceratops.
Which means it can move faster
so it can deliver a bigger ram.
[Dad] There's only one way to find out.

As you will recall, Knight Dana.
You must be knocked off your horse
worse than Knight Riley
in order to win the dino ramming power tournament.
[growling]
Stygimoloch can run as fast as a horse.
It has a bony domed skull that's thicker than my fist.
[growls]
Definitely going to get thrown off
worse than Knight Riley.

Yes, well, let's hope you get hurt more.

[growls]

That weird headed one is moving quite quickly.
Not enough to match the strength of the triceratops.

yeah, seemed pretty similar.
So, how are we going to figure out which dinosaur
had the greatest ramming power?
You know, when I'm trying to figure something out

[roars]
We've been thinking about this the wrong way
or the wrong side.
Euoplocephalus didn't ram from the front,

And so we find ourselves at the final round
of the dino ramming power tournament.
Will Knight Dana discover the dinosaur
with the greatest ramming power of all
or will she fail?
Either way, I'm sure you will learn something
that you will talk about for many moons.
[loud grunting]
Euoplocephalus didn't move quickly.
But it didn't have to.
It would just wait until a predator got close enough
and then ram it with it's massive tail club.
All I have to do is aim right for it's tail.

They all have bucked teeth like the Incisivosaurus.
So that must have been
what the Incisivosaurus was doing.

[baby crying]

Alright. Back to fire building.

The second pile's been eaten too?
No wood, no heat, I guess we're going home.

so it must be the Maiasaura.
