Episode 4 Why is he still lingering around?

Mu Juechen!

What did he do wrong that makes you kill him?

Didn't you say that you wouldn't look for me within these ten days?

Why did you back out on your promise?

Talk!

Okay, you've lost.

I'm ordering you right now...

That's not nice.

You have to respect someone to an extent.

Even if I'm your maid, what right do you have to kiss me?

Hurry and leave after you finish kissing her.

Young Master, I really can't keep writing anymore.

This is less than 15 minutes, keep writing

I know I was wrong. I won't sneak out anymore.

Do you know that it's really dangerous like that?

It's so chaotic out there. What happens if I don't come in time?

I already admitted my mistake.

How about this? In the future, I'll always follow you, okay?

Okay.

This is what you said.

In the future, you're not allowed to leave me.

Alright.

Keep writing.

What's wrong with me?

Is being evil your only way?

Mu Juechen.

Young Master.

Young Master, what is it that makes you so happy?

I just remembered some things from that past.

Oh right. How is it going with what I asked you to do?

I found it! The man's last name is Sheng, the first name is Minxiu

- That's all. - There's no more.

There's no more?

I told you multiple times that it must be perfect when you do things.

It must be perfect. Do you understand?

Not only do you need to tell me his surname, who he is, you also have to tell me

where he came from, where is he going, what is he doing now,

- what is he doing in the future— - I understand.

I'll immediately go investigate.

This brat has cleared his background so much.

He is definitely planning something bad.

He dares to hit on the Qianyun Mountain Pavilion.

Someone must of sent them to go against me.

That's right. We're going against him.

How much money should we earn from him?

Let's set a small goal first. Fifty thousand taels.

Let's earn fifty thousand taels from him.

Give a reaction.

Is it that you are scared by this sudden amount of gold you are receiving?

Oh.

"Oh" and that's it?

I'm so tired.

Master Xiao Yu, you're amazing. You're amazing!

As expected,

once I released the news, everyone in the city is crazy.

I'm guessing... I'm guessing that tomorrow

everyone in the city, no everyone in the world will know.

Hurry and make arrangements. Fron now on,

Only the person that pays a high price can use the elegant room.

Okay, I'll go right away.

[Notice]

Easy to find a wife but not easy to find one who understands me.

At noon today,

Qian Yu will use music to meet friends at Tianlai Restaurant

for a period lasting three days.

Those who are proficient in music can come for the test.

For the person who completes the test, Qian Yu will provide a life and death contract.

Isn't Miss Qian Yu, the most doted maid by Young Master Mu?

How could he give her away?

What's going on?

For music and for my dreams, I will die without regrets.

Your darn dream. If you dare to go look for Miss Qian Yu

then I'll break your legs today!

Younger Sister, don't cry.

How can there be such thing as loyal love on this world?

Men are all bastards that like the new and dislike the old.

I didn't expect

Mu Juechen to also be like a common man and give up.

Come on, let's make a toast.

The front is over there. Waiter, take care of them.

Customer, inside please.

Inside please.

Absurd! Is she crazy?

She's using this tactic to make me reveal myself

and saying something like a confidant is hard to find.

This agreement hasn't ended yet and she's already telling the world.

Right now, people all over the city are blaming you.

saying that they're sorry for Little Flute.

- I— - Juechen.

Juechen, I haven't seen you in a few days and your eyes look sallow.

How would I? I'm fine but brother, you

should hurry and go check for an eye disease.

Since you're fine

then I'll go back and report to Father.

I said that Qian Yu is only a maid

even if she left Qianyun Mountain Pavilion, I'm guessing you wouldn't mind

but Mother isn't at ease and insisted to let me come to see if you're fine.

How could something happen?

Go back and tell Mother

that I purposely arranged this small event.

So that's the case.

Then, can everyone join this event?

What? You also want to join?

I have a role model like you,

so I'm naturally willing to try.

Okay.

I'll thank you beforehand.

I'll go back and report to Mother.

This event...

- Qian Xiao. - I'm here.

This war has started.

As the saying says, "If you know yourself and your enemy,

you can be victorious."

Do you know what to do?

I understand.

Everyone don't be in a rush and line up.

It's about to start.

Welcome everybody to Tian Lai Tavern!

It's my honor.

From today, our restaurant will hold a competition that will last three days.

The successful person will sign Ms. Qian Yu's body contract

as his personal attendant.

Miss Qian Yu, did you argue with Young Master Mu?

If we win later,

don't make us his enemies.

That's right. Did Qianyun Mountain Pavilion allow you to do this?

You're Young Master Mu's favorite maid.

If you guys have apprehensions then you may leave.

Everyone, since Lady Qian Yu has made this choice,

she naturally has her reasons.

That's right. The cowards better get out of here soon.

You're the host, right?

Tell us quickly, how are we competing?

Lady Qian Yu will play a song with her flute every day.

Anyone that can play along with her on the guqin will be a contestant.

All contestants will compete on the last day

to have a winner.

Then what are we waiting for? Play the flute!

Yeah, hurry up!

What are we waiting for!

Everyone, please listen to me. Although this competition

is a contest, it's more about making friends.

With all of your shouts and cries, isn't it quite offensive to the beautiful lady?

The young master is usually quite busy.

So I'm honored to have you attend this competition.

I'm just participating. Even if there's no fate between us,

it's worth it just to hear you play a song. Please go ahead.

I've heard that Qian Yu's music is like the melodic tunes of a hundred birds.

It is like the beautiful sounds of nature, making one's heart feel extreme joy.

Of course.

Only Young Master Mu had this good blessing before.

Who knew we'd also be lucky enough to hear a song today.

How beautiful!

How beautiful!

[ Qian Yu's Music Competition ]

What's Little Flute doing?

She doesn't usually play the flute like this.

Isn't this Su Yu?

Su Yu?

All of you common people,

how could you know the mysterious wonder of this song?

But, Xiao Yu actually remembered this song.

Could it be, that she recovered her memories?

How can these mediocre people understand the beauty of Su Yu?

Mu Jue Ce?

He actually came to compete.

Overconfident.

I told you, this is an eternal puzzle.

Impossible. They're just too dumb.

If it were me, I would've solved the puzzle by now.

What a nonsensical zither master.

Doesn't even know the answer to such a simple problem.

Senior Ouyang has failed.

Look, even the old senior is helpless.

These idiots are driving me crazy.

Flute Immortal Mister Cui has failed.

This little maid has such skills.

I bet the young master of the pavilion would be even more clueless.

Of course, Miss Qian Yu already said

a soul mate like this is hard to find.

I think that Young Master Mu's skills in music

is not that impressive either!

Young master, young master. Don't be so impulsive.

Sit.

If you go out there, wouldn't Litte Flute find out?

It's such a shiny stage.

What a dangerous trap!

She even thought of it.

I think you can't suppress that

heart of yours that yearns to be outstanding and above the rest all the time.

Inviting the eldest Young Master of Qianyun Mountain, Pavilion, Mu Jue Ce,

please come on stage to perform.

Mister Mu Jue has been defeated.

I'd say, this Little Flute—

Young master, don't act on impulse, young master.

- Young master, don't fall into Little Flute's trap. - Just like this.

Yes. Just hold me down like this.

Otherwise, I can't control my body.

The two masked gentlemen.

Seeing that you two came with masks,

you guys must be hiding that you guys are masters.

Go on stage and show it. You don't need to hide your brightness.

I, A'nuo Ersheng

I practice in dancing.

As for music, my skills are not great.

- Endure silently. - How dare he says... - Endure silently. The situation is more important.

It's such an important situation. Are you going to lose to Little Flute?

Farewell.

These two are too stubborn.

Xiao Yu, I have to say, your method is ruthless.

Using yourself as bait to find your little older brother is too exciting!

If I don't do that, how will I be able to get people to know?

Then the Young Master is truly pitiful, his face has been hit into a sorry state by you.

Who told him to abolish Feng Ming's martial arts?

If I don't make a bait to let him admit defeat then how am I going to save him?

But if you

and your childhood memories, I think this risk is worth it.

Right?

Also, Elder Sister, you can't tell the young master about this.

I promise I won't tell.

I don't believe you.

Anything that passes through your ears won't survive the night.

I really won't tell.

Xiao Yu, let me ask you something.

These 10 years with the young master, you've never had any—?

No way.

How? I don't like him.

Someone like him who

doesn't know how to show respect or take care of others

will die alone.

But he's handsome and has money.

If you like him, you can go give it a try.

N-N-N-No, I can't bear the consequences.

You two, what are you two talking about?

My Elder Sister,

she's afraid of me being poor.

How can that be?

We only used Xiao Yu's method for half of the day and already raised thirteen thousand taels.

Is should be enough to compensate for the previous time you ate chilli.

What? That much money?

Xiao Yu,

why didn't you tell me beforehand? Is there anything I can help you with?

Elder Sister, why don't you also leave the villa?

N-N-No, I'm good.

If I left the villa, the master would kill me.

Right, how's it going inside?

We haven't seen Young Master's whereabouts.

Him? Even if he came, you won't be able to see him.

You just need to remember that if someone with a mask goes on stage then notify me.

Lady Xiao Yu, can I also compete in this competition?

No.

Why? Isn't it anyone can join?

Only you can't.

Because you're my servant.

If you won,

then you would become my master.

No way, no way.

[ Harmony with Wind and Sun ]

How ridiculous!

You're all useless!

Hurry and find the best person that plays the guzheng.

Hurry!

I have something I don't know if I should say.

You're the shopkeeper?

If you have something to say then hurry up and say it.

Is Hero Mu willing to let your second brother step on you for the rest of your life?

How presumptuous!

Are you instigating a fight amongst us two brothers?

Mu Juechen has this skill

because of the Yun Heart Formula.

This formula's requirements towards its practitioner is extremely harsh.

I have a way to widen your tendons.

Who are you? Why do you know about this?

It's not important about who I am. What is important is that I can help you.

If I can win this competition

then I hope we can make a deal

to help you take control of Jianghu.

Take control of Jianghu?

Just based on you?

Three days later, if I cannot complete the competition

then Hero Mu may send people to take my life.

One at a time. Don't be in a rush.

"Ghost Note of Tianshan" suffered a defeat. (Ghost note is a musical term for a very faint sound)

Give him free pastries.

"Leisure Xiao Diao Wang" suffered a defeat.

Give him free pastries.

"Fairy Dongyao with Flat Head" suffered a defeat.

- Give them free pastries. - Young Master,

this is Little Flute's conspiracy.

Xiao Yu isn't here.

Thank you very much for coming.

Various melodies that can be heard lingering in the beams.

A music banquet like this would be a feast to our ears.

Unfortunately, no one can play in harmony with Miss Qian Yu's song.

It's already pretty late now.

We will welcome you all again tomorrow.

Too early!

Er Long, help with sending them out.

Leave.

Wait a second!

[ Convey Sun and Luck ]

Why don't I tell Boss about the person with the veil?

Wait a second. It might not be him.

Young Master, the competition has ended today.

You may come tomorrow.

I don't know but he looks like a master.

Such a shining stage

That was basically made for me. How can you say I don't understand the rhythm?

Xiao Yu, take a good look with these mortals.

My musical accomplishments,

are outstanding.

Er Long, go find Xiao Yu.

Come on.

Don't be stingy with your praises and applause.

What nonsense is this? He even said he's a Prince of Music

What child prodigy? He just tarnished Miss Qian Yu's melody!

That's right.

He even passed the test.

Qian Yu seems to play this tune as well.

I told you that this person isn't ordinary.

He must be a reincarnation of a music god.

We ordinary people naturally cannot understand the beauty within it.

Good!

Someone finally passed Miss Qian Yu's test. I'm guessing that the semi-finals in two days will be more amazing.

That's right.

Where is Miss Qian Yu? Since the tune was broken

- then how come she's still not coming out? - That's right. Where is Miss Qian Yu?

That's right. I have to hurry up and leave or else Xiao Yu will find out later on.

This mister, you haven't left you name behind.

Ren Zhong Long Feng.

Young Master Ren Zhong.

Ren Zhong Long Feng

-Young Master Long Feng. -It's Ren Zhong Long Feng.

-Young Master Ren Zhong Long Feng. - Ren-

That's correct.

The competition has ended today.

Let's meet at the semi-final another day. Goodbye.

Don't leave!

Don't push.

I still have something else I need to do.

Are you sure it's him?

The clothes aren't the ones that he usually wear but his height and personality is about the same.

Is he still there right now?

He... I don't know.

We listened to him play and then shopkeeper Shen told me to tell you.

I already told you multiple times that if there's someone wearing a veil then call me.

Shopkeeper Shen probably wanted to hear him play first before making any judgments.

Did the person with the veil really pass the test?

That's right.

- Where is he? - He left.

Why didn't you let him stay?

We couldn't.

Didn't I tell you to tell me first thing?

It's my fault. Please punish me, Miss.

You.

Do you know that you're taking risks, Young Master?

Yes, I admit that Xiao Yu has something to use against me

but Qian Xiao, I'm also a human.

I also have shortcomings

even if I hide those shortcomings very deeply.

Getting along with Xiao Yu during these ten years

I was always careless, and she always found out.

What do we do now?

After passing this competition,

I understood something more.

Other than me,

no one can break it.

The three day agreement

I'm not going to participate. My farce is not going to be collapse by itself because of rumors.

I'm afraid that Little Flute will do something and then

you won't be able to control yourself.

I already thought about that long ago.

Qian Xiao, starting from tomorrow, I will isolate myself at Qianyun Summit.

Lead all the pupils and horses

out of here.

That way even if I want to get out of the mountains

I wouldn't be able to.

This is what you said.

You must endure it.

What if you lose and become Little Flute's servant?

Why would it be Young Master?

Is it him that I'm looking for?

Impossible.

Miss Qian Yu, dinner is ready.

Are you still mad, Miss?

Miss, if you don't want to eat right now then I'll come back later.

Why did you let Mu Juechen go?

I carefully planned this competition.

I have my own objective. I don't want to end up wasting all my efforts because of you.

I know that you want to save your friend

and also find someone.

If you know then why didn't you stop him?

This is one hundred thousand taels of silver. I need to redeem myself.

so that I can be like everyone else and get the right to fight for you.

This is what I personally collected.

During the semi-final tomorrow, I will give it my all.

You already know the answer for the competition. I can't let you join.

But Miss, have you thought

the person that can be worthy of you flute

doesn't only have Young Master Mu's sheet music.

Let me tell you again. I have my plans.

I hope that others won't ruin it.

I'm also helping you.

No need.

I've already found the person that I'm looking for.

Miss.

[ Tianlai Tavern ]

Everyone, is there anyone still wants to come up and participate?

Could it be that all the outstanding young masters in the audience have given up?

It's also right to give up.

Miss Qian Yu matches Young Master Mu more.

Other people can't replace him.

Yes, that's right.

Time's up. That outstanding man didn't keep his appointment. It's regarded as abstention.

This competition, I'm announcing—

Hold up!

Are you still going to be stubborn?

Then I forgive you.

Keep serving Qianyun Mountain Pavilion in the future.

Then let's go back.

Xiao Yu, I don't think this is proper.

Young Master, if you still don't wake up then I'm going pinch your little face.

Xiao Yu, why is your voice so weird?

Young Master!

Qian Xiao, I told you so many times.

Don't deliver any messages when my door's closed.

Young Master, Little Flute is about to get stolen by someone.

- What? - That Shen Mingxiu

is currently cracking Little Flute's melody.

If you still won't come, she'll really be taken away!

Stall him. Stall until I arrive.

Men, prepare the horses!

Young Master,

you told me to take away all the disciples and horses.

It's impossible that I said that. Not a single one was left?

We have too much people and we have no horses

but Young Master, don't be anxious.

Don't you have something you can ride by the locust tree in your courtyard?

Something I can ride?

You complained that it was a fake one and it was embarrassing so you never used it.

What was it?

It's a Divine Eagle, Young Master.

It's a fake one but it can fly.

I'm the Young Master of Qianyun Mountain Pavilion.

How could I ride a fake one? Ridiculous.

Young Master, change your position of riding it then it's not considered cheating.

But I...

That little brat has already played half of the tune.

This is too embarrassing. I won't ride it even if I get beaten to death.

[Tian Lai Tavern]

I didn't expect Boss Sheng to be so skilful.

That's right. Why isn't that outstanding man here yet?

Did he give up?

He indeed was able to match the tune.

Was the person back then Young Master or...

What is he playing?

Father, you don't know.

Miss Qian Yu presented an extremely difficult problem.

I'm guessing that she has a meaning behind it.

That outstanding man who passed the first round, why isn't he here yet?

He was probably afraid that he would lose to Boss Shen

He will lose his dignity in front of the people in the kingdom.

Master Xiao Yu, how come Young Master still isn't here?

You even want to commit suicide? If you die

then how are you going to help me bring out Mu Juechen?

Elder, what happens if he doesn't care about this girl

and is not willing to hand over the Inner Strength Mental Cultivation technique?

We'll be miserable.

If he really doesn't care

then why would he keep a useless person that doesn't know martial arts by his side?

Other than me,

no one is allowed to touch her.

Chen'er, we were just playing around.

Which hand?

I'm your Fifth Uncle. I'm an elder at Qianyun Mountain Pavillion. You can't...

The right hand.

Ah!

Who's kite is that? So arrogant.

They're even hanging clothes down there.

This isn't right. It seems to be Young Master Mu.

Young Master Mu.

Young Master Mu, how long do you need?

Little Flute is about to get taken.

Xiao Yu, wait for me.

They are going to decide the winner soon. Why isn't that outstanding man here yet?

There's four more notes.

Ce'er, this Boss Shen

is a talented person. He's bound to win.

Three more.

Father, don't worry.

Two more.

It's Young Master.
