[Episode 40]

Let's stop this right here.

Don't worry.

It'll all be over and done with soon.

Zhen Yan. It's fine.

When you guys get married,

I'm going to be the best man.

Xiaowo.

You silly girl, don't be sad.

Look. With you, my little mascot, by my side,

What could possibly happen? Remember,

Only when you're full of joy, can the music also be full of joy.

Yi Song,

You are outstanding, but you must remember,

To never forget your original intention.

Rest assured, Master.

Lisi.

Wait for me.

Let's go inside.

How long has Master Fei had his condition?

Actually, even before he came to Mario Paci, he already knew that this day would come.

-That early? -Yes.

It seems as if everything that he's done, has been for us.

Yes. He is a true master.

Li Zhen Yan, today's stage was truly stunning.

You must cherish it.

Look,

Everyone on that stage was a witness of your growth.

They're all your friends. Your teachers,

Your loved ones, your family.

This sentence... but we were all witnesses to your growth as well.

Me, Maestro Waynda, both witnessed your...

All right. Why are you so annoying?

I'm not that bad.

We're no better than each other.

I'm going back to Paris in a few days.

I hope everything goes well for you. I'll wait for you to come back.

Take care of yourself.

Don't worry. Everything's going to be fine.

Fei She'er's surgery will go well, right?

Yes.

The doctor said that the rate of success for this surgery is very high.

All we need to do is wait here patiently for the results.

[Operating Room]

When will you come back this time?

What? You thought that I'd just go back to Europe like this?

Otherwise? Where are you going?

I moved back here in hopes that I could spend more time with you.

Now that everything is all over,

Of course, it's also time for me to get going.

And I should also give you two some personal space.

Fang Xiaowo is a good kid.

I hope you're able to cherish her.

Don't be like me, regretting things,

After everything has already been lost, when it's too late.

I know.

Wake up.

Are you hungry? Elise made this porridge for you herself. Let me get some for you.

The surgery for the cochlear implants was extremely successful.

You're so beautiful.

It seems like you're finally awake.

I don't want to eat anything.

Okay.

Let's take the medicine first.

It's so bitter. However, in our lives and in the world,

There is much more bitterness to take. Luckily,

I have you to forever sugar coat things.

All right.

With the two of us combined, we must be over 100 years old.

Don't eat too much sugar.

What's wrong with 100 years old?

Even if we were 800 years old,

You're still my first love.

If you can't hear in the future, I'll help you listen.

Listen.

What are you looking at?

I was just thinking that I've never slept in a heap of groceries before.

On top of that, in a place like this,

I was able to find the love of my life.

I never thought that in a doorway,

I'd be able to pick up such a beautiful person.

I will call you Li Zhenyan in the future.

This looks similar to Fang Xiaowo, right?

♫ Drops of tears under petals♫

♫ I am sighing day and night ♫

♫ Like rain meeting a clear day♫

♫ I met the right you ♫

♫ Good thing I didn't avoid ♫

♫ If it's not because of you ♫

♫ I would still be crying at the original point ♫

♫ I wrote so much in my diary about you ♫

♫ The notes help me to match the melody of the rainbow♫

Am I dreaming?

Yes, we're both dreaming.

If we'll be blissful like right now when we dream

then let's never wake up okay?

♫ An exclusive memory ♫

♫ I saw you ♫

♫ finally becoming myself ♫

♫ In the most beautiful voice, I'll sing to you ♫

♫ An exclusive memory ♫

♫ The intimacy of an embrace, so sweet ♫

♫ So close and interdependent with you♫

♫ We can't forget our promises ♫

♫ We can't forget our promises ♫

Why are you practicing this song?

How come you came?

Didn't you say I didn't play it well last time?

I was thinking that Team RS will still have lots of performances

so I have to practice well to be worthy of you.

You're already that tired. Rest a bit.

Okay. After I clean up,

then I'll let dad make you some food.

Let's wait.

What's wrong?

Say, Master Fei's performance ended.

Our issue...

Are you that anxious?

- Are you backing out again? - I don't dare to.

I remember your matters to my heart.

I want to marry you as soon as possible.

- What's wrong? - What do I do?

I... I'm starting to get worried right now.

What's wrong?

I'm afraid that after you marry me

I'm not as great as what you think.

I will also throw a temper,

do a lot of things wrong, and I also have shortcomings.

If we're together then you'll see a lot of bad things about me.

- You won't like me. - Look at me.

If you're talking about shortcomings then you can't win me.

I know you know how to take care of people,

caring and considerate elder sister.

- Who is the elder sister? - No.

Let me finish talking. What I mean is

when you take care of others, remember

that I still need to take care of you.

I'm really blissful.

Good thing I purposed to you earlier.

You have no chance to good back on your words.

I didn't go back on my words.

- It's Fang Xiaowo. - It's Senior Brother.

[Little Curtain] Senior Brother, it's already so late.

Why is so important that makes you call us here?

Is it Master Fei?

It's fine. Master Fei is fine.

I came to announce to two things.

The first thing is that Master Fei's farewell performance was very successful. Everyone has worked hard.

Through this matter, I thought about a lot of problems.

One of them is I think

our spirit in Team RS isn't that one is lacking

because Team RS is just stage and not shackles.

It can't lock everyone's hands and feet

so I'm announcing right now that Team RS is disbanding.

Disbanding?

At the same time, I have to announce a new Team RS.

That's what I said.

You were scaring us to death.

What's the different between the new and old Team RS?

There's going to be more freedom, it'll be more inclusive and open.

because everyone has their own career, right?

It's also a stage.

You guys are welcome to come back any time to practice and perform.

At the same time, we're encouraging everyone to go out and find a better opportunity.

We're formed.

- I'm the first one to join. - No problem.

No one would dare snatch the position of premier from me, right?

You two, stop fighting over it.

You can't leave out a drummer.

No problem.

-Me either! I will always be the mascot of our orchestra. -Of course.

Now I'm going to be a freelance member.

If Team RS is need then I'm available anytime.

- There's also us. - There's also us.

Wait a second. According to this division,

I must say that I am too

but

my schedule is too full. How about this?

If you have any requests in the future

you can send me a text message on WeChat at anytime, okay?

Eat.

Lan Bo, can you not interrupt?

Let me tell you. We need to know reality, right?

Look at Wu Zheng today.

He didn't come today. Who knows what we could do?

Listen to me, okay?

I'm the most valuable existence in this orchestra, right?

This orchestra can't continue without me

So, I've been thinking a lot...

- Okay. - But

everyone is eating.

There's also me.

- He Shangliang. - How come you came?

After seeing your performance with Master, it feels like I must do something.

I resigned.

I'm registering to become Team RS' assistant conductor

Conductor, do I need an interview?

I think we don't need an interview but a hug.

Welcome back.

Get a chair and have a seat.

This is great. We're all together again.

Have a seat.

Everyone is almost here.

- Then let's have a drink together. - Okay.

- Cheers. - Cheers.

The new Team RS has been formed.

Senior Brother, didn't you say there were two things? What's the other thing?

The other thing is...rather official.

-You're married? -It's gotta be fake! -It's real!

-Congratulations! -Congratulations!

Congratulations to our RS Orchestra's first pair of newlyweds!

-Congratulations! -You must be happy!

Thank you for your blessings. You must all come to the ceremony!

Hey, no! It's-!

-How could you two jump ahead? -Learn from me!

Okay, ignore him, Xiaowo. You will be the most beautiful bride, except for me.

Li Zhenyan. I wish you happiness.

Daria, wish you happiness.

Come! It's so hard to get everyone together! Let's get drunk!

Come come come, take a picture! Look here!

- Is the watermelon sweet? - It's sweet!

Why are you laughing?

I...I'm happy! I feel fortunate!

Me too!

Coming to Paci was the best choice I made in my life!

I achieved my dream, and met you!

But, you can be a conductor,

and you can be a pianist. I'm so jealous!

Why are you saying that? I can't compare with you now.

You are a famous pianist.

I'm not! Li Yazhi is.

But, don't worry! I'll work hard!

What will our wedding be like?

Our wedding? I haven't thought about it yet.

I want a lot, a lot of flowers! And RS Orchestra playing for me!

I also want a piano onstage! I want to play the piano!

- Okay. - Oh, that's right! I also want to throw a flower bouquet.

Throwing a flower bouquet, I need bridesmaid and you need groomsmen.

-That much? -Yes!

[Robert Schumann. Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 54]

Li Zhenyan, look! Kids like me a lot!

Teach Fang's dancing is graceful.

I'm about to dance along.

Then do it with me!

At such a happy moment, I wish everyone could be with us.

But they've all settled down into their busy lives now.

♫ My mask is torn; you met me ♫

♫ Wings were burnt by promises ♫

♫ But my faith does not cease ♫

♫ Clowns can still sing proudly among ridicule ♫

♫ Clowns are not afraid to be broken ♫

♫ Time burns to ashes ♫

Did you know? I heard Tian Yisong is a world famous conductor now!

How amazing!

He's very talented, and hardworking too.

He is a very strong competitor.

When you two competed, we still don't know who's better!

Who's better?

That's not important to us anymore.

That miraculous musical experience is the most valuable.

Yes. I heard,

he often goes back to school to give lectures too.

Then Director Meng must be happy.

But it's a shame. He couldn't be with Caiwei.

But it's because they didn't get together,

that they could find the life they really wanted.

That's true. Did you hear Caiwei's new song?

It's really catchy. It's been trendy for one month online.

Her collaboration with Yan Yan is invincible. It's so cool.

I heard it! It's very different from the old her.

I can feel through her music that she is really very happy.

Oh! That's right! Dalia called me!

She said that Ji Mo returned to Lumalet Orchestra.

He's doing better and better in Lumalet Orchestra.

The tickets are always sold out!

Really? That's great!

I kind of miss those days.

If you miss them, let's go! Let's go see Ji Mo and Dalia!

Their life is really sweet!

They have three babies! I'm so jealous!

-Babies! The food is ready! -What? Don't tell me you want to birth a full orchestra!

Woah! That's a great idea!

I think one is enough. Why should we have that many?

You definitely never would've imagined, Chen Zheng and He Shenliang are getting their PhDs already.

They've even become orchestra consultants! They're amazing!

Consultant?

Chen Zheng's wish finally came true and became an adult.

He must be so happy!

Of course! But I really can't imagine Chen Zheng having the patience to teach anyone.

That's true.

Xiao Yin and Lan Bo are new teachers at Mario Paci Conservatory of Music.

Zhuo Yin is indeed very suitable to be a teacher.

-But Lan Bo... -He probably often slacks off!

But he'll be wherever Xiao Yin goes.

This couple separated and made up. They'll definitely be together.

Give me one of this, and one of this.

Thank you.

Professor Lan, I still don't quite understand the piece you taught last class.

After we get back to school, can I ask you more about it?

-Okay, no problem. -That's right! I want to get a new cello. Do you have recommendations?

-Okay. I'll give you recommendations once we get back to the practice room. -Okay!

-Thank you Professor. We'll leave first. -Bye bye!

They're two students! From our class!

-Don't misunderstand! It's just two students from our class! -Isn't it always those two?

Oh and also, Fanchen and Wu Zhen said goodbye to the housing agency.

Now, independently opened a educational institution after marriage.

- The twin sisters should be there. - That's right.

Zixuan and Zimang are both in the institutions as teachers. They're super awesome.

Oh right. How is Qin Fen and Qing Shang doing right now?

Qin Fen? He's so busy right now.

He has to teacher the kids and worry about the noddle shop.

What is important is that Qing Shang is pregnant and her belly is getting bigger.

Qin Fen is waiting to be a dad.

- I can't think of how Qin Fen will look like when he becomes a dad. The last note is longer.

I think he's like Uncle Qin.

- Come, beauties and handsome guys, make way. Thank you. - Boss, do you still have wontons? - We do.

- I want a bowl then. - We do. - Thank you.

- Boss, where is my noddles? Are they done? - Boss, I want wontons. - Coming right up. Wontons?

- Hurry. - Okay. - Thank you.

- Here. - Daughter-in-law, be careful. Let me do it.

Pay attention to my grandson. Come here.

- Be careful. What do you mean no? I already know. - No.

Can you scan the code yourself?

- Boss, my noddles. - Okay, I understand. The noddles are coming right up.

- I'm going. - Okay. - Go back and practice.

- Goodbye teacher. - Go ahead.

- Bye-bye. - Thank you.

- I'm leaving boss. - Okay, thank you.

Wife, why are you here for? Why aren't you resting?

Your dad is scolding me but why are you scolding me as well?

I don't dare to scold you.

- You were just then. - I wasn't, okay?

Be obedient and go up. Be careful.

Don't send me. Go help dad.

- Call me anytime if there's anything. - I'm not calling.

- Then send me a WeChat message. - I'm not going to.

- You can also call me from upstairs. - I'm not calling.

Stop showing love affection. Okay! Go work.

Hurry up.

You'll be like mom in the future

and become an amazing pianist. Play with me.

Wow. You're so amazing.

Now you can even play the high notes.

So amazing. Let's continue.

Let's know the first note. Do, re.

Take away the fruits. Don't put it on top of the piano.

Han Han, here. I'm

giving you fruits to eat, okay?

You don't want to eat this? Then let's—

Han Han is still small and it's time for her to grow so she needs to eat more.

Han Han, grandpa doesn't want you to be chubby but I like it. Come here.

- Go to my house to play okay? - See.

She's not willing to go to your house. Play the piano with me, okay?

The mouse went to the balcony,

stole food and couldn't come down.

The cat came and rolled over.

- Han Han. - Han Han this time,

let her relax.

- She just came over from there. - What do you mean relax when playing the piano?

Truly playing the piano is being relaxed. Come on, Han Han.

Come on, Han Han. Do you remember which sound these ones are?

- Who's are these for? - Let's meet them again. This one is do.

Re, and mi. That's right.

- Han Han, let's eat some okay. - One must be focuses when playing the piano.

Don't let her eat it like that.

- Do you like grandpa or maternal grandfather? - Grandpa.

- You don't like me? - See.

- You don't like maternal grandfather? - I'm so sad.

Look, maternal grandfather is about to cry.

- Do you like maternal grandfather? - Looks like Han Han doesn't like me. - I like both.

- You like both? Han Han is so obedient. - She likes both.

Thank you, Han Han.

Say, you're already a dad and you're still so childish bringing our daughter to use the bubbles to spray me.

You're even saying it. I feel like I'm raising two daughters.

I heard that it's two days before Mario Paci's ninetieth anniversary.

I wonder how they're doing. I haven't contacted them in a long time.

I want to immediately see everyone.

There will be an opportunity.

- Stop picking it, baby. There's no more batteries. - She's smart just like you.

Senior Brother, you already stared at us for half the day already. Why did you call us here for?

You guys don't know. I came here once I got off work. I'm considered the first one to arrive.

Once I came in, Li Zhenyan was staring at me like that.

I felt so uncomfortable and didn't want to leave.

That's right. Once I came in, the two of them kept looking at me.

You guys even dare to say it. We never been together for these five years.

If we don't miss one then we miss half.

Xiaowo, don't say it like that.

We always want to come everytime

but we're too busy with work.

I understand, there are so many obligations in life.

Old Li, why did you call us here for?

You're speaking of the main point.

The serious matter is the Principal Lin called me a few days ago.

It's just two days until the anniversary of the school.

But this anniversary is especially important.

They're inviting all the graduates

to go back to the school for the celebration.

Principal Lin found us to hope

that we can share this happy event as a orchestra performance.

Oh right. This performance

will be live broadcasted

so does anyone have suggestions?

If it's live broadcasted then where is the location?

We haven't thought of it yet.

- I think the factory. - Factory.

I agree.

The rehearsal hall's style is different from other rehearsal halls

and how do I say this? It's where everyone grew up.

- It's close, right? - I think it's not bad. Everyone agrees right?

- Okay, it's settled then. - Okay.

Now, let's discuss the song.

There song has been reduce to three choices.

Which piece exactly has to be decided by the make up of the members in the orchestra.

So I want to ask everyone if we're participating or not?

I don't have to reconsider.

Li Zhenyan, if you conduct then you don't need me.

- You're saying these words again. - At that time, we will cheer you guys.

Thank you.

Me me, as first chair I'm definitely joining.

Yes, you're finally finding a chance to take the position.

I'm still here.

No wife, you're even pregnant. Why don't you let me be first chair for once.

Are you discriminating against pregnant woman?

Anyways, such a good chance for prenatal education. Why would I let our baby miss out on it?

I can't join right?

If you don't accept it then let's play in front of Li Zhenyan.

- See who he chooses. - Qing Shang, that's not necessary

Because I have never considered putting Qin Fen on the first chair position.

That's right. I know.

Okay.

Let's be serious. What do you guys think?

We're too busy recently so I'm afraid that we can't.

I'm not sure either because we have to practice

so it's hard to get together with everyone.

We will go back and make arrangements.

- We're not certain right now. - That's right.

Okay. Actually, I already expected all this

because everyone has to do their own things after all.

Another thing that is certain is, our first chair oboe player is Ji Mo.

He might come back in the next few days.

It's fine. Everyone can go back and think about it.

If there's any news then tell me anytime.

Then I will post the music sheets in the group chat.

Everyone remember to look at it. The school anniversary this time is really important

and this performance is meaningful

but I believe this performance will go well and succeed.

Why is the atmosphere so serious?

Even though not everyone can't come participate but

this is a reunion that we haven't meet each other in a long time.

Let's make a toast then.

- Cheers. - Cheers.

- Cheers. - Cheers.

- The three of you must be happy. - Someone finally is leading the atmosphere and pacing.

It's hard to get together.

You don't seem like someone that's a dad at all.

- How come they're still not here? - Call.

They're not picking. Really.

They're here.

How come you two came just came? Don't you know this is a live broadcast performance?

- It's hard to explain. - Let's stop talking and start now. We don't have much time.

You guys only practice twice. Are you familiar with the music sheets? Do you need to be more familiar with it?

I'm done for. I didn't bring the music sheets. Did you bring them?

I also didn't bring it or my purse.

I'm fine though. What about you?

The music sheets are in my heart.

- Come on. - Let's go.
