Thank you.

Lige.

I want you to promise one thing.

Say it.

You must not admit to anyone

that you tried to kill me before.

No matter who.

I understand your reason for doing it.

But this involves the government,

Shen Family

and new policy.

There are too many people with bad intentions.

If someone knew about this,

the situation may get out of control.

As long as you deny it,

I can still turn the situation around.

Fourth Brother.

Also,

if I...

Fourth Brother.

In short, you must not admit it.

It won't happen.

Listen to me.

You'll be all right.

Promise me.

All right,

I promise.

You have to

promise me one thing too.

We two

must never separate.

All right.

Fourth Brother.

Fourth Brother.

Fourth Brother.

Fourth Brother!

Fourth Brother.

Xu Zhan.

Gall of tiger is with him.

But for unknown reason,

he assault

your senior suddenly.

We don't know his whereabouts now.

Lige.

If King Peng Cheng go into coma,

let him have this medicine.

This medicine is dangerous.

Within eight hours,

he must eat Thousand Thread Poison's antidote.

If not, he'll surely die.

Fourth Brother.

Fourth Brother.

Fourth Brother.

You're awake.

I'm fine.

I'm just tired.

Time for a meeting?

Fourth Brother.

Wait for me.

Don't worry.

Xu Zhan.

I want to go out.

Go out?

If King Peng Cheng comes back...

We only have eight hours.

I must get the antidote.

Your Highness.

According to the army report at north borders,

Wei Army is restless recently.

They divide into east and west

and hide nearby Yellow River.

It is estimated that there are 100,000 troops.

Suiyuan Army is ready to go.

Your Highness just need to give order

and they will depart to fight the enemy.

You have fight for 20 years.

I couldn't bear

to let you go to battlefield again

but Wei Army comes to the south.

The situation is urgent.

It relates to the safety of Song

and the people.

The one who can win in war

is only you.

So...

Your Highness.

I have something to report as well.

Say it.

Yesterday,

in front of Military Hall, General Shen

lead Suiyuan Army

to ask for forgiveness.

I heard about it too.

It was mainly because the generals of Suiyuan Army

dissatisfied with the foundry incident.

So, they talk bad

about the government.

Your Highness.

The lack of my leadership

leads to disorganization of the army.

I'm guilty.

But yesterday...

Your Highness.

I understand that General Shen

was forced to do so

to stabilize the army.

However, if this matter is spread out,

how will the people react?

Your Highness.

Recently, in Jian Kang City,

a nursery rhyme is widely recite.

King in Jian Kang laughs,

Shen Family Army controls everything.

Shen Family Army?

General Shen.

When did Suiyuan Army

change its surname?

What song?

That's just nonsense!

You're all ministers

but believe in rumours.

Aren't you afraid to be laughed at?

It must be because war is happening soon,

so someone spread rumours

to make trouble.

You're wrong, King Jing Ling.

As the saying goes,

gossip is a fearful thing.

We can't belittle this.

The soldiers and people's heart

will be unstable because of this.

General Shen.

Is it true

on what happened at the Military Hall?

The incident yesterday indeed has happened.

But Suiyuan Army

belongs to Song.

Protect the people

is Suiyuan Army's duty.

The soldiers

have no intention of retreating.

Even if the rumours are wrong,

but the war is starting soon.

If we let it be,

the consequences will be disastrous

and will affect

our ability to fight the enemy.

To stabilize the army,

I beg Your Highness

to reward the army yourself.

King Peng Cheng, please reward the army.

All right.

You're really united.

I'll

reward the army.

Why is she in a hurry?

Recently,

I learned a few new hairstyles.

It's really pretty.

Hong Dan, quick.

Let's go get the things.

Drink some tea first.

Concubine Li.

Look at this.

Which one do you like?

I think the pink is the best.

I think the yellow one is nice.

Concubine Li will definitely like this.

Xiao Xin, Hong Dan, I'm sorry.

My fate is unpredictable this time.

It's better

that you leave me

so as not to be implicated.

The pink is old-fashioned.

How dare you!

All these are valuables given

by King Peng Cheng!

How dare you don't hold it properly!

I'm sorry, Concubine Li.

I didn't hold it properly.

I'm sorry.

Please punish us.

Of course!

Xiao Xin, Hong Dan.

You two,

as the senior servant of Fang Yin Pavilion,

you can't even do this trivial thing right.

To be cane twenty times and do hard labour.

Bring them away!

The punishment is so serious?

We can just pick it up.

Concubine Li!

Concubine Li!

Concubine Li, don't chase us away!

Concubine Li!

Concubine Li!

-Concubine Li! -Concubine Li!

Don't chase us away!

-I'm guilty. -Concubine Li!

Concubine Li, don't chase us away!

Concubine Li!

Concubine Li!

Your Highness.

What's the progress on what I asked?

Your Highness.

I observe Cheng Xiu Pavilion for a night

but didn't see they invite physician

and don't have any suspicious people

enter the pavilion.

But there's something

that I feel weird.

Concubine Li's personal servants,

Xiao Xin and Hong Dan,

just did a

very small mistake.

However, Concubine Li was furious suddenly

and punish them.

Not only that she scolded them

but also punish them

to do hard labour.

Her action is abnormal.

She did that?

That two servants

is always loyal to Concubine Li.

Concubine Li also adores them.

Now, she chased them away with a reason.

Your Highness.

I boldly guess that

Concubine Li might have other motives.

That's why she did that.

Your Highness.

She's right.

Keep watching Fang Yin Pavilion.

If there's any movement,

report to me immediately.

Yes.

Fourth Brother.

Go first.

Your Highness.

You must not go to the reward ceremony.

You'll need to ride horse and archery.

Your body won't stand it.

They just want to see

something happen to me.

In the foundry incident,

I really got injured.

The hearts of Suiyuan Army...

Even if it's for the north borders,

I still need to go.

Fourth Brother.

Your Highness.

Where is Concubine Li?

I've informed her

when I come out from Zhidian Hall, isn't it?

Why is she not here?

Say it.

Concubine Li...

Concubine Li went out

to look for gall of tiger for Your Highness.

Don't worry.

Xu Zhan said

he'll definitely protect Concubine Li.

Also, Concubine Li has said

no matter she could find it or not,

she will definitely comes back.

Remember.

If someone ask about her,

just say that she's concerned about the condition at north border.

So she stays in her room to copy scriptures

to pray for the people.

During this period,

nobody can disturb her.

Yes.

San Bao.

Hurry.

Fourth Brother.

Go.

Find Shen Zhi.

Tell him this.

No matter Concubine Li finds the gall of tiger or not,

don't ever

comes back to King Peng Cheng's mansion.

Fourth Brother.

I'm afraid I can't take it anymore.

I just hope that

she can be safe.

Come.

Help me up.

Open it.

This is the draft document

of officials selection.

There are still many loopholes.

The scholars are still debating.

They need quite some time.

Local officials

are the foundation of the implementation of new policy.

Use more kind and law-abiding officials instead of high morality officials.

You must remember this.

This book is about cleaning...

Fourth Brother.

No.

You'll be fine.

If anything happens to me,

you must promote the new policy.

No.

You'll be fine.

We're royals.

We shoulder the responsibility of the world.

Our life and death

is not important.

You must promise me.

No matter how hard it is,

you must get rid of bad governance.

Trusted by the people, strict towards the officials.

If Song will prosper,

it's all right

for me to die.

Trusted

by the people.

Strict

towards the officials.

As long as I live,

I'll keep my promise.

Why?

Please give me the antidote.

Do you know

who you're

going to save?

I know.

King Peng Cheng.

No.

You're going to save

your enemy.

The enemy who killed your family

and your parents.

Do you still want to save him?

Even if my parents

really die

in that riot,

King Peng Cheng must have his reason.

King Peng Cheng that I know

is a good person who concerns about the people.

A good person?

Grand Tutor Cui He is dead.

In order to keep his position,

he indulge Lu Family

causing the government to impoverish

and the people has nothing to eat.

He's such a brutal man.

You're saying he's a good person?

To eliminate the traitor Lu Yuan,

he's willing to risk his life.

Even if he's poisoned right now,

he's concerned about the people

and country.

King Peng Cheng

is not a brutal person.

That's just the surface.

I trust that you're

not a person who can't tell right from wrong.

Whether it's true or not, you'll know it sooner or later.

Don't be deceived by rumours.

You're the one who're deceived!

Why did I teach you

for all these years?

You only knew him for a few days.

But you forgot it totally.

I didn't forget it.

I lost my parents since young.

It's you who raised me.

It's also you

who teach me

everything.

To me,

you're like my parents.

I'm indebted to you.

I treat you,

senior,

A Nu

and all sisters

as my family.

I'll forever remember

your teachings

in my heart.

But,

we're wrong.

King Peng Cheng

is not

as what we think of.

The one I knew,

in order to cleanse the government

and punish the traitors,

he's exhausted.

He has been tolerant for so many years.

Even if it's difficult,

his heart has never forget

about long-cherished wish for the well-being of the people.

I trust what I saw.

Enough!

I've planned for you for so many years.

But you're speaking for him now!

Why do you

won't believe me?

All of these

is for us

or you have other motive?

You finally doubt me.

I don't dare

and don't want to.

But there's a few things

that I don't understand.

My father set the rules for Vermilion Bird Alliance himself.

Using poison is a dangerous act.

We must not use it.

Why do you

poison the dagger in secret?

Why did you do that?

To make sure that traitor is killed!

Since he's poisoned,

why did you lead Lu Yuan to kill me?

Only you

have luminous powder.

You knew

senior and I will get caught.

But you still do it.

Why?

Because in your plan,

you've decided to sacrifice us!

I've raised you for 18 years.

In these 18 years of parenting,

how do you place it?

Yes.

You've raised us for 18 years.

But in these 18 years,

since the beginning,

senior and I,

Kong Cheng, A Nu

everyone in the Vermilion Bird Alliance

is controlled by you.

We're your puppets.

Use it when you need.

Abandon it when you should.

We can't do anything

or think of anything.

We

don't even know

the real truth!

But I understand it now.

The real truth is that

in your eyes,

we're just

your chess pieces.

To achieve the plan,

I'm willing to do anything!

For your kindness,

I'm willing to repay it with my life.

Please give me the antidote.

As long as he lives,

you can do anything to me.

Ignorance.

Wishful thinking!

I'll live if he lives.

If he's dead,

I'll not live too!

I'm sorry, master.

Senior!

Take it!

Lige, hurry up and go. Save him first!

Senior, Xu Zhan, take care.

Master.

Stop being stubborn!

Thanks for saving me.

Feeling surprised?

The disciple you raised since young

wants to kill you to save King Peng Cheng.

I'm guilty towards Lige and the others.

Guilty?

Interesting.

Don't forget

if this is revealed,

they can't live.

You can't live too.

King Peng Cheng will let you go.

What about the officials?

And your brothers

will forever be

a lonely ghost.

Your Highness.

You're bleeding.

It's all right.

Tie it tighter.

Where is it?

Where is it?

Where is it?

No.

No.

Where is it?

Where is it?

Where is it?

Don't lose it.

Where is it?

Where is it?

Fourth Brother, wait for me.

King Peng Cheng.

Emperor Gaozu of Song

obtained the mandate

and people's support

to delegate Shen Tingzhang

as General Zhenbei

to depart from capital

to Suiyuan

to guard the border.

All these years,

Suiyuan Army fought in wars

to protect the people.

They've never lost in war.

They're the right-hand man to Song.

Now, north border is restless.

Suiyuan Army will go into battle.

In according to old system of Emperor Gaozu,

the army will be rewarded

and king's decree will be clarified.

If the battle is won,

it's Suiyuan's merit.

No matter the rank,

will be given a thousand taels of gold,

rank and land.

For those who died in battle,

a large funeral will be held,

the next three generations will share its merit.

Protect the north border!

Protect the north border!

Protect Song!

Protect Song!

Protect the people!

Protect the people!

Sister.

Her Highness

cultivate this peony herself.

Her Highness knows that Concubine Li likes peony.

So she asked me to send it here.

Careful.

Say thanks to Her Highness.

Her Highness wants me to deliver message to Concubine Li as well."

It's like that.

Her Highness miss Concubine Li.

Concubine Li didn't visit Her Highness today.

Her Highness asked about her.

Is it Concubine Li...

You worry too much.

North border is unstable

and King Peng Cheng is concerned.

Concubine Li is on vegetarian diet

and copy scriptures in her chamber.

King Peng Cheng has gave order

that no one can disturb Concubine Li.

All right.

If so,

I won't disturb you anymore.

Your Highness.

You're really considerate.

You come visit me every day.

Unlike the one in Fang Yin Pavilion.

I don't even see her shadow.

Your Highness.

I think her injury is quite serious

at Xiu Lin Garden yesterday.

If want her to back and forth,

it's really quite inconvenient.

You.

It's good to be generous.

But towards her,

you can't pamper her too much.

You're the consort.

Yes.

She's not an arrogant person.

Your Highness.

Don't worry.

Your Highness.

Princess Consort Xie.

Why are you here?

She's quite smart.

If want her to do hard labour,

it'll be wasted.

So I asked her to stay here.

But...

Don't think too much

about the past.

You must serve Her Highness well.

Don't make trouble again.

Yes.

Your Highness.

I've sent the peony to Fang Yin Pavilion.

Does Concubine Li likes it?

I didn't see her.

Her servant took it from me.

See?

See?

She's so rude.

I sent flower to her

but she doesn't care about it.

Send my message to Fang Yin Pavilion.

Ask Concubine Li to come here.

I want to ask her myself.

Your Highness.

Fang Yin Pavilion's servant said that

Concubine Li is tired after serving King Peng Cheng

in these few days.

She needs to rest.

What?

-This... -Your Highness.

Don't be mad.

It might be the servant is foolish

and didn't inform Concubine Li.

How about I go take a look

and remind Concubine Li?

What do you think?

All right.

I'll go with you.

Yes.

King Peng Cheng, please give order to strike camp.

Rise!

Repulse the enemy!

Don't come back if don't win!

Men of Song are mighty!

Mighty!

Mighty!

Your Highness, Princess Consort.

Where is Concubine Li?

Concubine Li is copying scriptures to pray in her chamber.

Open the door.

Where is Concubine Li?

Where is Concubine Li?

I don't know.

Search for her now!

Yes.

I really don't know.

Concubine Li ordered not to be disturbed.

I don't dare to enter.

You said

she's copying scriptures to pray.

You also said

she's tired from serving

King Peng Cheng.

What are you trying to hide

for her?

I don't dare.

Take them out.

Cane twenty times for each of them!

Yes.

Wait a minute.

Calm down, Your Highness.

Will it be that

Concubine Li went to Cheng Xiu Pavilion?

You're still helping her?

King Peng Cheng is rewarding the army today.

He's not at Cheng Xiu Pavilion.

Concubine Li just came here not long ago.

But she made trouble to everyone.

She's lawless.

As a princess consort,

you still want to pamper her?

Why do you make such a fuss?

What's wrong?

There...

There's blood here.

Why...

Why there's a dagger here?

Why there's a weapon

in Concubine Li's chamber?

What's going on?

Could it be...

According to rumour,

there's an assassin in Fang Yin Pavilion on king's wedding day.

It's true?

How could this be?

Is there really an assassin?

Enough.

Don't speculate.

If we find Concubine Li,

everything will be clear.

Shen Le Qing.

Send message to Major Yue.

Ask her to search king's mansion

and guard every door.

If Concubine Li is seen,

capture her immediately.

Yes.

Shen Lige.

King Peng Cheng's injury

is indeed related to you.

With this dagger,

you can't escape.

Your Highness.

Why are you so sure

that Concubine Li went out?

Do you still remember

they're looking for

two medicines?

They've found

Tianzhu agarwood incense.

Unfortunately,

they still need gall of tiger.

Which means

Concubine Li went out to search for it?

The best result currently is

to kill two birds

with one stone.

Let's go.

Let's go back and wait.

Brother.

Brother, it's urgent.

I can't

explain to you now.

Move.

King Peng Cheng's order.

No matter what,

Concubine Li must not return.

What?

I'm just following order.

Leave.

Brother!

It's real.

There's not enough time.

Let me in now!

You and your brother are really close.

High General.

Concubine Li

can't go anywhere today.

Her Highness has given order.

She ordered me to capture her.

Why capture me?

Why?

Because of this.

Her Highness' order.

Concubine Li is suspicious

and must be captured!

Capture her!

Stop!

Concubine Li.

Don't think that

just because King Peng Cheng protects you,

you can do anything you want.

I know that

you're brave.

But,

do you want High General's future

destroyed in your hands?

King Peng Cheng is busy with awarding ceremony.

He won't have time for you.

Awarding ceremony?

You don't know?

You really went out in secret.

It's better for you

to follow me to see Her Highness.

Otherwise, you're defying orders in public.

If anything happens during the fight,

it's hard to blame anyone.

All right.

I'll go with you.

But,

I want to say a few words with you first.

It's already the end for you.

Say it.

I know you went to Ren Shou Pavilion

to steal the agarwood incense.

You...

care about him very much.

He's poisoned.

He's dying.

I went out to find gall of tiger.

I've found it.

If you stop me,

he'll surely die.

Why should I believe you?

At this situation,

you can only gamble.

As long as he can be saved,

I don't care if I live or die.

Since the one you hate is me,

you let my brother

give this medicine to King Peng Cheng.

I'll follow you.

Your Highness.

Where did you go?

They look for you everywhere.

Her Highness is asking you.

I didn't go anywhere.

I just went for a walk.

It's all right if you want to say it or not.

I knew it well

about where you went.

Search her.

Wait a minute.

Your Highness is honourable

and cares about etiquette.

I respect

Your Highness all these while.

I don't know understand

why Your Highness

wants to search me without any reason.

I really don't get it.

Besides,

I'm King Peng Cheng's concubine.

If this matter is spread out,

how will they react?

In the future,

how will I place myself?

Please reconsider, Your Highness.

I'll leave now.

Enough.

You dare to

call yourself as concubine?

Do you really think

I don't know anything

about your background?
