I've done a lot of seasons of "The Challenge."

This is my 20th one, in case you didn't know.

Out of all of the ones that I have done,

this is hands down mentally, spiritually, emotionally

the most draining experience I've ever been through.

So here's to $1 million.

- My biggest competition in this final

is gonna be Bananas.

Bananas is the most experienced player

in this game.

He's automatically a threat.

So got to keep my eye on him.

[indistinct chatter]

- It's just me and my dad.

He's my closest person in my life.

He's always looked after me.

He's worked his ass off my entire life,

and I've never, ever needed for anything.

I just want to do him proud.

[chuckles]

[dramatic music]

- I don't think that Melissa has much of a shot of winning

because she hasn't really done well throughout the season,

hasn't really got any Tribunal wins,

so I think she's just doing the final

more for bragging rights than for actual competition.

- It's just crazy because we made a final

on our prospect year, and it's just like--

getting emotional because, like,

I've never had [bleep], man,

and for me to be able to...

give my family whatever they want,

it just [bleep] drives me, man.

- I know you, going into this final,

you are about to kill it.

You are an athlete

and your family's been rooting for you

since you were a little kid.

- Growing up, my family and I, we were never poor,

but we never had it, you know, extremely well,

but it would just mean the world to me

to be able to pay my parents back

for all they've done for me.

I'm looking around at the competitors.

Kaycee, there's no way

as prospects,

and the world is about to see this [bleep].

This thing's giving me PTSD.

I'm gonna see a tow truck from now on

- This is the ultimate moment.

This is what I've been working for.

It is such a big thing.

My mum and dad worked so hard

bringing myself up

and all my sisters and my brother--

there's, like, nine of us,

and they never, ever had spare money

to spend on themselves,

and to have the opportunity

to be able to then go spoil them

and pay back,

that, for me, is, like, the main motivator.

[blaring continues]

This is the final challenge. - All right!

- This is what you've all been waiting for.

- Never thought I'd hear you say it.

- You've all earned your red skulls

and proved you deserve a spot in my final.

But I know

everybody is out here

for the money, right?

It's a million-dollar purse.

- $1 million purse.

And the breakdown is very simple.

$500,000 for first place,

man and woman.

Winner take all. [all cheering]

There's no second place.

- To go home empty-handed would be the worst.

To put yourself through a final

and not get anything?

God, winner takes all?

That is pressure.

[chuckles] This is a whole different level.

- You all earned your way to be here,

but be careful what you wish for.

This is my final.

You'll be climbing over 9,000 feet of elevation

while trekking 12 miles through thick snow.

You see that mountaintop?

That's the final checkpoint.

Now, the first checkpoint

of this long, gnarly race

is right here.

You guys are gonna have to strap on

those skis behind me.

And then you're gonna ski to that big pile of logs.

You can carry up to three logs per trip.

And then you're gonna ski

all the way through that valley,

where you'll find two 8-foot-tall skull monuments.

Your goal, once you have 12 logs in your firepit,

is to spark a fuse to light those monuments.

You don't do it,

you will not move on.

This is a race.

We reward winners here.

- We're not only battling against each other

in this final,

but we're also battling the biggest element of all--

snow.

This is gonna be brutal.

This is going to be hell.

This terrain is no joke.

The snow is so soft, if you take one wrong step,

you're going knee-deep in snow.

And it's straight uphill.

Like, this thing is steep as hell.

I'm gonna try to carry three logs at a time

because I need to take

as least amount of trips as possible.

I'm just hoping I can keep my balance on these skis.

How far, you think?

- I don't know, man.

Far.

- Fessy's actually doing really awesome,

but I knew he would.

I knew that guys like Fessy are so egotistical

that they need to come out the gate strong.

He needs to realize

that this is gonna be a long final.

- You can run on the street all you want,

you can run on the treadmill,

but until you've run in 4-feet-deep snow,

you have no idea what this is like.

This is crazy.

- I see Bananas pass me.

I'm not panicking,

because, yeah, Bananas has won six finals,

Kyle, I don't really view him as a physical threat.

Cory's my boy, but I think I got Cory beat athletically.

So I think I match up great against all these guys.

Cross-country skis?

I've never skied before in my life.

I've never walked in snow this deep,

but Kaycee's close behind me.

I can't let this lead up.

- As a prospect coming into this game

and now making it into the final,

I am beyond proud of myself

and I know all my friends and family are so proud of me

for making it this far,

so I'm going for the win.

I'm kind of flying under the radar.

that I'm good in snow.

I mean, I was born and raised in snow.

This is nothing new for me.

I don't care if we're in the snow.

Every time you fall down on these skis,

I mean, it takes time and energy

to get yourself back up.

It's been such a long period of time

and the fact that they have gotten

so much more brutal,

I'm also having my doubts right now

if this is something I'm gonna be able to see through.

I cannot get the technique right.

It's so difficult getting up and down this mountain.

I feel the ligament in my knee just rip,

but I just have to keep pushing through.

Swaggy and I are freshly married,

but we still haven't been able to have a ceremony

because it's just too much to afford.

So, if I were to win this money,

and start our new life together,

so I just have to make this work

and push through the pain.

- The first part of the final is called Ring of Fire.

- We've got to carry a load of logs to the top

using cross-country skis to set a fire.

The altitude of this place is insane.

I can barely breathe just from walking.

This is a [bleep] challenge.

- I get to my firepit right after Cory.

I know his dumb ass isn't gonna be able to start a fire,

so I know

I could figure it out before him.

- Cory and Fessy get a lead on me again,

but it's still so early on in the final.

I'm just hoping to make it up in a later round.

- [groans]

- In my first ever season on "The Challenge,"

my first ever final, I'm in the lead.

I have all the motivation to keep going.

- Oh, my God.

- Kaycee's my competition.

She's, like, another breed.

She's, like, on another level.

She's excelled so much in this game so far,

so I know if there's gonna be one girl

- I got to catch up to Jenny as soon as possible.

I'm still in second, but I need to get in first.

Fessy's probably a good 30 yards ahead of me,

If this mountain is in between me

and setting my daughter up for success,

I'm gonna kick this mountain's ass today.

I finally get to Fessy and I pass him

and I'm just thinking, "Holy [bleep].

and being in freezing cold,

that doesn't help matters.

But I will never quit again.

Even if my back was broken, I wouldn't stop.

- I've never started a fire in my life,

You never know. All these guys might die.

You might overtake them.

It feels like such a relief to finally ignite it.

I didn't give up. I didn't quit.

Finally, I can go on to the next round.

- This feels amazing.

I have now become the overall leader

of this final.

Hopefully, I can carry this momentum to the end.

I'm in first place for ladies, and that feels so good.

I'm just gonna--just make sure I just keep coming first

so that they feel more and more demotivated

and I can swoop in and just win.

- [breathing heavily]

- Even though Fessy starts off in the lead,

Cory manages to pass him,

so it's now clear

that Fessy is not gonna be my main competition.

Based on the way Cory is competing right now,

he's gonna be the one to beat.

anything to keep it comfortable,

and nothing seems to be working.

and now, we have to go into elimination again

and fight for our place in the game.

This last Tribunal, no one's safe.

- Generally in finals,

stakes aren't this high this early on.

It would be such a blow to come all this way,

to make it through such a difficult first day

of a challenge,

only to be eliminated in a final.

which means you guys are safe from the last elimination.

and it feels so good.

for not putting him into the last elimination

of the season.

and choose the guy that could beat him the best,

and that's Fessy.

what I like to call the Journey.

Journey is where you guys stay together,

There's a compound up there.

who you want out of the game.

that goes up into the clouds.

On the other side, you've got a treacherous snowbank

that just drops off into oblivion.

The only thing that is keeping us

from falling to our impending death

is this cable that's attached to the rock.

It's absolutely brutal.

- This could totally avalanche.

- The only thing that's keeping me safe

is this belt around my waist.

We're holding on to thin ropes.

We're basically tightroping across the sky.

This is the craziest thing I've ever done in my life.

My leg is hurting,

and this is just not a fun time.

- Is now a bad time to tell you I'm scared of heights?

- So basically, our lives are in our own hands.

and we're all kind of willing each other on

and helping each other out.

I'm pursuing a new career in mountain climbing.

considering how close we are to half a million.

I'm not everyone's favorite player,

and I'll go into elimination

and do what I've already done twice this season.

I want to prove to people why I should be here

and why I should be in the final.

- Rogan, we were all gonna vote for your ass anyways,

so don't try to sit here

and act like you're being a big hero

when you knew your ass was going in anyways.

- I'd like to nominate myself for the girls

because I've felt so disheartened all day

since I did so rubbish in the first part of the final,

and I don't think I can make it through the rest of the night

without getting at least...

an elimination win under me belt

'cause right now, I just feel like I can't go on.

Every joint in my body is aching from the cold,

but I'm just trying my hardest to continue and to fight on,

and I'm nominating myself

because I need to win an elimination

to just feel a purpose

and to stay to continue this final.

- So it sounds like Rogan's going in for the guys

and you have Melissa for the girls.

This, obviously, isn't an easy decision.

It just comes down

to who I think is a bigger threat

to my game at this point.

- There's a very real possibility

that I could be the one that's screwed in this thing.

- I did really well, I came in second,

so there's a chance I might go home.
