(Hate to Love You)

What happened? Did you get your money back?

(Episode 9)

My goodness, look at you,

You literally just left, I guess you missed me already,

- Teacher, please have a seat here, - Okay, thank you,

Teacher?

Would you like a cup of invigorating herbal tea?

Well, I'd like hot coffee,

Hot coffee,

I walk around this neighborhood a lot,

but I've never seen,,,

such a unique and trendy cafe like this before,

Unique,,, Yes, totally,

The more you see this place, the more it grows on you,

Right, I should come here often,

Yes, you should,

I should get used to these things if I want to date Eun Jo,

Hello,

- This way, please, - Okay, thank you,

Excuse me, I can try this on, right?

Of course, Please take your time,

What are you doing now?

He's a thief, A thief, He's a thief!

Please call the police immediately,

This man tried to run away with my purse,

Why are you all just standing there? Call the police,

Look,

All right, fine, I'll do it myself,

Wait,

He wasn't trying to steal your purse,

He just caught it as it was falling, I saw it,

- Is it true? - Yes,

That's a total lie, You've been hovering around me since earlier,

And do you even know how expensive this purse is?

Ma'am, that purse,,,

Ms, Gil, stay out of this, I'll talk to her,

So you two know each other,

What are you waiting for? Call the police,

Okay,

- Look, - Be quiet until the police arrive,

You were caught red-handed, and you're his accomplice,

- Did you contact the police? - Yes,

Don't get involved in everything, will you?

Why are you making things more complicated?

Didn't you see him catching the bag when it was falling?

The two of us shouldn't be arguing like this now,

"The two of us"? Since when were we that close?

This is getting more ridiculous,

It's not even 2 people, 3 people are ganging up on me,

- What is wrong with this store? - Stay out of it, both of you,

This is my problem,

First of all, I do apologize,

However, I think you got the completely wrong idea,

Sure, When did he police say that they'll get here?

Gil Eun Jo, She's obviously trying to teach me a lesson,

The two of you are saying totally different things,

What he's insisting is right, I saw it with my own eyes,

The two of them know each other,

so you shouldn't trust her,

Miss, did you see it too?

She's one of them too,

In other words, both of them are his accomplices,

Not me,

Why are you dragging me into this?

All right, enough, Miss, there are CCTV cameras here, right?

Well, about that, They broke a little while ago,

but we haven't had a chance to get them fixed yet,

Well, shouldn't all stores have CCTV cameras that are fully functioning?

See? You heard that, right?

I can't stop being suspicious of this place,

And the cameras happen to be broken too?

All right, Please calm down, There's no solid evidence,

and nothing is missing,

so please just settle the matter now, okay?

Anyway, I apologize for,,,

You got my expensive purse scratched up,

Do you think that an apology is enough?

Then please compensate her for the repair costs,

Let's just settle it here,

Stop showing off your knockoff purse, will you?

What,,, What? Did you just say, "knockoff"?

Do you even know how much I paid for this? It's authentic,

I know that store very well, Let's go there together,

They'll repair it for free,

I see, You're pulling a sneaky trick to avoid compensating me,

Stop meddling in, okay?

- I'm not meddling, - Enough, I can't settle with you,

You don't need to pay me for the repair costs,

Why are you just standing there? Please arrest them,

This man, this woman, and this woman too, All of them,

Why me? I didn't do anything,

I witnessed it from the point when he was holding her purse,

Then did you also see him lurking around her purse?

No, I didn't see that,

Anyway, please exclude me from this,

I don't know anything,

I really don't,

Gosh, I'm speechless,

What are you waiting for? Please arrest them immediately,

Except for this woman,

Until when are you going to keep us here?

Please wait just a little, until both parties reach a settlement,

Hong Suk, are you okay,,,

I guess you're okay today,

(Lawyer Byun)

Why does this guy keep calling,,,

I'm supposed to meet him,

Lawyer Byun Bu Sik?

The lunch isn't important, I need you to come here immediately,

- Where are you now? - At a police station,

What's taking him so long?

Does that hurt?

It's a scrape from the purse, isn't it?

You're such a handful,

I don't need it,

"I don't need it, It's okay, No, thanks,"

You're so negative about everything,

Turn your head towards me, I should at least put this on for you,

You really are a handful,

My ideal type is,,,

- The opposite of me, - You know very well,

Of course, It's because I feel the same way,

Gosh, is that so? Mr, Hong Suk,,, I mean, Rock,

Does calling me by Rock amuse you?

Why do people say the same thing?

By the way, why were you staring at her purse like that?

Do you need to get a gift for someone?

Is it a secret?

Forget it if you don't want to tell me,

Why did you stammer when they asked you for your social security number?

Are you hiding something?

I work for Genius,

The company wouldn't have hired me if there were issues,

The color, That's why I was looking at her purse,

The color? You mean red?

I was on the lookout for the best color for the next season,

It's for my other part-time job,

I see,

Then was that why you were looking at my lips at the market that day?

Why are you so enthusiastic? Just do the job half-heartedly,

Hong Rock,

I helped you this time, so you'll let me do the job with you, right?

What? We're in this mess because of you, You think you helped?

Have you forgotten? Earlier,

I saved you from having to apologize,,,

for what you didn't even do and getting ripped off,

I see, That's why we're stuck at the police station now,

We're here because she got mad that I knew her purse is a knockoff,

Are you sure that it's a fake?

You know nothing about women,

If it was genuine, she wouldn't have left it unattended,

If her hands were full, she would've kept it between her legs,

And I have the ability to tell if a designer handbag is real or fake,

Then you should've pretended not to know that,

Why did you humiliate her and let things get messy?

You're too rigid,

Rigid,,,

What? You're not in the position to call me rigid,,,

Did you just call me rigid?

Ms, Gil Eun Jo,

What took you so long?

Ms, Gil Eun Jo, you can go now,

But you must wait, We haven't been able to confirm your identity,

- Only I can go? - Let's go now,

The victim agreed to settle, so let's go,

But what about him?

He's not my problem,

Will you be okay to be here alone?

Just go,

I'm really going to leave,

Hello, Lawyer Choi, It's Hong Suk Pyo,

I need you to come here,

- Please enjoy, - Thank you,

Since you were locked up at the police station, have some tofu,

Why? Do you not like soft tofu stew?

Let's go to the course meal restaurant next time,

Our lunch is much simpler than I planned,

I know,

You meant to make me spend a fortune, It's a shame,

I can do it next time,

You said you'll see me again, That's a promise,

Is it good?

I'm eating it because I'm hungry,

You've never been hungry, right?

Do you know what happened to Lawyer Noh who worked for Haeng Ja?

Haeng Ja,,,

Oh, right,

She's not my mom, but we're living together, It's complicated,

I don't care, What happened to Lawyer Noh?

He quit working with her because she made him work like a dog,

You should find someone else if you want to make money,

What if I'm not working with her because of her?

Then why,,,

Is it me by any chance?

You said her wealth is worth 100 million dollars,

She has no children to inherit it,

and you're the only one she has, Anyone can see what will happen,

Aren't you going to eat that? Then I'll eat it,

Hey, I was eating it,

What's the problem? I don't mind,

- He's the exact opposite of him, - Sorry?

Listen, I tend to bluff a lot,

Haeng Ja is still lending money to other people,

I mean, she's quite well off,

but she doesn't have 100 million dollars, That's nonsense,

I'm telling you the truth,

There are different types of wealth,

Some people are worth 100 million dollars,

What do you mean?

Are you talking about me?

Why,,, Why?

I'm not sure, However, I became very curious about you,

You're so smooth,

I'm so curious about you too,

I'm glad to hear that,

Then let's find out what kind of person each other is,

- Shall we start dating from today? - What?

No,

Our company's CEO was accused of stealing at one of our stores?

Then what happened? Yes,

It's been resolved, right?

Where is Chairman Hong now?

I understand, Thank you for your help, Lawyer Choi,

Yes, Bye,

Out of everything, he even went to the police station?

I have something to ask him about,

Why would you ask about that when it's not even a good thing?

- Let go of me, - Seriously,

Suk Pyo,

Whenever he's hooked on something, he works night and day,

If you have time to say that, organize his room instead,

You know how much he hates it when others touch his things,

Sometimes, you just say you worry about him without any action,

What did you say?

You don't sound like you mean it,

My gosh, I would be very upset if you really think that way,

I moved in to this house when I was in middle school,

Suk Pyo was three back then,

While his mother was busy with her work,

I practically raised him,

I didn't say you didn't,

He makes me feel bad and seems precarious,

I feel bad for him, I'm sorry to him and proud of him too,

I shouldn't have said it,

I hope he finds a nice woman for him and settles down soon,

But I can't just push him to do so,

Right, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry for doubting your sincerity,

You shouldn't have gotten on my nerves,

Okay, Let's get out of here,

Why would you make me look like a hypocrite?

You might wake Suk Pyo, Let's go,

Gosh, That was so annoying,

The person you have reached is not available,

Has he gotten out of the police station or not?

He's bothering me so much,

(Vocational Training Institute)

- Chairman Hong, here you go, - Okay,

- What is that? - It's his mobile phone,

He left it at the police station, so I picked it up for him,

How could you leave the chairman's phone unattended?

I made my phone secure,

Of course, His unlock pattern is like a drawing,

- Do you take drawing lessons? - No, I don't,

Stop it,

I'll be waiting outside then,

Is Secretary Lee stupid or pretending to be stupid?

I have no idea what's going on in his mind,

That doesn't matter,

I got so many messages,

What's wrong with you? Where are you now?

Are you still in the police station?

Why would you ignore my texts?

Are you still alive?

I have another nagger,

Come again?

Nothing,

My gosh, He certainly read my texts,

This notifies me that he's read it,

I'm fine,

He made me worry about him all night long,,,

and only said, "I'm fine"?

I don't believe him,

What are you talking about?

Hey, Go, and,,, Never mind, I'll do it myself,

I found it,

Did you find someone to buy that?

No,

The color looks a bit different in the photo,

Should I show him this handbag?

Why would you take photos of it when no one is buying it?

I mean, Ms, Kim has been very strict about it lately,

Do you think I'm going to sell this for money?

You're not in the position to tell me what to do,

I'm sorry,

This is the real one,

The color doesn't look the same in the photos,

I'll show you the handbag if it's necessary,

If you want to see it, give me my job back,

She's bothersome, Seriously,

If you give me my job back,

I'll buy you soft tofu stew since you got out of the police station,

You're late,

Were we supposed to meet up again today?

I don't remember doing so,

I ended up here while taking a walk,

At this hour?

Then enjoy your walk,

Wait, Spare me some time this Sunday,

Okay, I owe you a lunch,

I can't stand owing other people,

Okay, Let me plan our schedule for that day then,

I'll make sure to put an end to this,

Okay,

Go in, I'll continue my walk,

He makes me so uncomfortable,

Why does he keep approaching me?

Gosh, Where are you going? It's Sunday,

I told you I was going to do practical training at a hospital,

- I won't come home tonight, - Oh, was it this weekend?

I guess you'll work all night again,

- Do you have enough money? - I have a lot,

Haeng Ja, good luck today,

What? With what?

Gosh, no way, I'm not doing that thing,

Haeng Ja, please,

I can't do it even if you beg me to participate in it,

And the audition or whatever it's called,

It's not like they'll pick me if I participate in it,

Goodness, don't be so disappointed, Get going now,

There's a special reason,

What? What's the reason? Tell me,

You'll never pay to get makeup done,

They'll do makeup on you for free,

and they'll dress you too,

So let's all get dressed up,,,

and take a picture together,

The living room wall looks so empty, you know,

Let's take a picture together and hang it on the wall,

Oh, Eun Jo,

What kind of picture? Like a family portrait?

Well, it's not like only families can take pictures together,

People close to each other can take pictures together too,

Aren't I right, Haeng Ja?

- Eun Jo, - Okay, let's do it,

I thought we should take one when Myung Jo graduates anyway,

We'll just do it sooner,

Don't apply for the modeling contest if you don't want to,

You can get your makeup done at a makeup studio,

You need to become the model for us to take the picture with no issues,

That's nonsense, Don't force her like that,

Getting makeup done professionally costs about 100 dollars, right?

What? 100 dollars isn't even enough,

Over 100 dollars for makeup,,, Goodness, what a waste of money,

See?

She's panicking already even before anything starts,

I can already see you two fighting and canceling it altogether,

I can see that too,

I'll never get a picture taken without getting a proper makeup,

You guys figure it out,

I know exactly what you're thinking,

She said we can take a picture because she knows,,,

that you won't participate in the modeling audition,

I thought it was a good opportunity,

I'll see you later,

- Please put it over here, - Mr, Hong Suk,

- Where are you? - Yes, I'm here,

We don't have enough evaluation sheets, Please bring plenty,

Come in, It's about to start,

- Welcome, Hello, ma'am, - Hello,

My gosh, you look stunning,

Hello, I'm the vice chairwoman of the Merchants Association,,,

and the owner of Mom's Rice Cakes, Kim Bok Rae,

Sitting on the Honam Line southbound train

Looking over the shaking window

But no one can say anything

His sweet voice keeps ringing in my ears

Mom, just let yourself go if you can't sing the song,

Just let your body move to the rhythm, and go crazy,

Lose yourself, okay?

All right, let's have fun,

Why did you want to meet here?

I wanted to watch the audition, but Haeng Ja doesn't want to,

Shall we go?

Let me drive, I'll do whatever I want from now on,

Sure,

Where are we going now?

You won't be disappointed,

You're not going to put on a silly event at some public space, right?

It sounds like you actually want me to do something like that,

I'm not one of those coy girls, I'm very straightforward,

Of course, I'm well aware of it,

I'll look forward to whatever it is since you told me to,

but I'll be very angry if you let me down,

You really are straightforward,

It looked like there was an event at the center, It was noisy,

There's an audition for merchants and ladies in the neighborhood,

- An audition? - It's for selecting a model,

Genius is hosting a makeup show,

Well, I guess they'll sing and dance,

- That's why Mom,,, - Pardon?

It's nothing,

Here,

What is this?

A gift,

Sorry?

Then we'll wrap up the audition now,

The results will be announced through the association later on,

We'll judge fairly, so you'll have to accept the results,

- Okay, - Okay,

Oh, right, Number 7, Ms, Jang Jung Sook, and number 8, Dong Mi Ae,

You two are a team, right?

- No, no, - No, we aren't,

We can't really split the score though,

It'll be a disadvantage for both of you,

- Yes, we're a team, - Yes, we're a team,

What should we do? Are you a team or participating individually?

- Individually, - We're a team,

Yes, they're a team, They're Team Sweetheart,

Thank you for participating in the audition, everyone,

Hang on a second,

I'm sorry for being late, It's not over yet, right? Right?

The audition is over,

It looks like you barely managed to make it, You're the last contestant,

Please introduce yourself, and show us what you prepared,

Okay,

It's Ms, Kim,

(Hanguk University Hospital)

Okay, Here we are,

Be careful,

Is this really necessary?

We're almost there,

How much longer should we go?

Wait a little longer, We're almost there,

What is this place? It sounds like it's so busy,

You can stop here,

Are we at a hospital?

You talked about your mother before,

Do you want me to pretend to be your girlfriend for your ill mother?

What are you doing?

Hello, I'm Kim Haeng Ja,

I lend money to the merchants at Geumdong Market,

I'm Kim Haeng Ja, the Old Lady Scrooge,

- What is "Scrooge"? - Listen to her,

If you choose me as a model,

I won't collect the daily interest of the merchants' loans,,,

- for 15 days from today, - What?

And I'll give a little donation to the merchants' association,

- A donation? - My goodness,

- She'll give a donation, - Unbelievable,

Please be quiet,

You know this is an audition, right?

Yes, I heard that this is a talent audition,

However,,, However, the talent that I have is,,,

the ability to not let go of money once I get it in my hands,

- She's bragging, - The only thing I can brag about,,,

is the money I saved until now,

Today, I came here to brag about my money,

She's here to brag about her wealth,

However, I didn't decide to go for this audition for my own sake,

All I ever did was working hard to make money at the market,

To be honest, I've never spent a penny,,,

for myself or other people in my entire life,

But today, I made a big decision to spend a fortune here,

For my children,

for my family, I mustered up courage to participate in this,,,

for the first time in my life,

Eun Jo's most precious treasure?

That's Myung Jo,

He's Eun Jo's only family, Her little brother,

- Eun Jo's brother? - Yes,

- Shall I tell you one more thing? - What is it?

It's something that Eun Jo wants to do the most but can never do,

I don't like riddles,

To see Myung Jo walking around the hospital in a white coat,

She wants to see that so much, but she can't do it,

It's because she lost so much at a hospital,

To Eun Jo, a hospital isn't a place where people get better,

It's a place where people die,

She must be dying to see her precious brother, Myung Jo,

study and work at the hospital,

but she never goes to see him,

Eun Jo's most precious treasure is Myung Jo, of course,

- Myung Jo, hurry up! - Okay,

Eun Jo,,,

and Myung Jo, For these jewels of my life,

I mustered up so much courage to be here,

So please choose me as a model,

Thank you,

(Hate to Love You)

What are you going to do? I said we can't even afford a used car,

- And you bought a new 3,000cc car? - Just trust me,

Do you want to do it here or at the store?

- Do what? - Checking your household ledger,

Your credit card will be suspended for another month,

Haeng Ja!

Are you really going to keep being like this? The cabaret,

I clearly warned you, didn't I? I'll submit my resignation letter,

Whatever you say, I can't turn a blind eye to this,

You know that a new beauty center will open in Busan, right?

Are you saying you'll send me there?

I'll help you get married to Bu Sik,

Are you bored? Let's have a drink together,

Eun Jo! Please leave now,
