After childbirth,
Asabi started to suffer

from postpartum depression,

and desperately wanted
a new look

for her upcoming
girls' trip to Cabo.

after I had my daughter

your relationship

- So my youngest sister Asabi
wanted a relaxer,

but we had been processing

you can't do a relaxer

on top off bleach.

- Exactly.

the relaxer in if she knew?

- So I told her, you know,
I explained everything to her.

She wanted it anyway.
I finally did it.

- So you're saying
she insisted on you

doing something that you knew
was gonna take her hair out?

- Yes.

- Was she upset?

- No, because I explained
everything to her.

- No, I was definitely upset
when it happened.

Kene didn't really warn me

about all of those things
that she's saying right now,

and it's just misleading.

- I pulled up some pictures
of your work.

- I wanted to thumb through
that with you.

you do a lot of braiding.

- Yes.

hard for me to say no
to my siblings.

my sisters got me to do things
that I did not want to do.

trying and struggling

every single day

Her getting pregnant
caused some issues between us--

And she got with her husband,
then she gets pregnant.

And then they got married.
It all happened so fast.

And due to that,
she left me in L.A.

with my daughter, alone,
when we had an agreement

that we were all
helping each other.

She just abandoned me.

- I didn't want do what I did.

But, like, I had to think
of the best way to be a mom.

- As sisters,
sometimes we feel like

we have this language
where you're supposed to know

how I feel, and I'm supposed
to know how you feel.

It's not like that.
We're still individuals.

We're still our own women,
right?

So on your first go-round,

with the processing cap.
