But JoJo's journey to love
was almost ruined

by one of the most explosive,
most outrageous bad boys

we've ever had,

by checking in

on one of the guys

And some jealousy

there were two camps.

There was the camp
that I lived in,

which was, "Let's stay away
from this guy

as much as you possibly can."

And then there was the, uh,

which was like,
"Let's poke the Chad bear."

I do remember one story.

He had put
all his protein powder

in the cupboards,
and when he found out

that we had moved
his protein powder...

that's when I was
a little concerned

for everyone's safety.

‐ And so much eating,

just giant stacks upon stacks
of turkey and chicken

and‐‐I mean, every kind
of protein you can think of.

‐ I don't, Evan,
if you remember this,

but Robby made ribs,

and we were all enjoying
these delicious ribs.

And we look over,
and Chad was eating the ribs

and then he was also
eating the bones‐‐

chewing them up...
‐ Oh, God.

‐ And swallowing the bones.
I was like,

"What are you doing?"
He's like, "There's a lot

of good protein in there."

‐ In all seriousness,
any‐‐any words to Chad?

‐ Without Chad,
I wouldn't have,

that I, um, you know‐‐
Chad made me a better person.

And I was able to find Carly
because of that.

a great group of guys.

that was the best time
of my life.

watching back that engagement,

and I can't believe
how much my stomach dropped.

And she goes,

What has life been like
since the show?

‐ Ooh! A lot.
‐ It's been crazy.

You don't get‐‐you get a lot
of perfection on the show.

You get amazing dates.
You see the best of someone.

Sometimes that's not
real life,

and you go through
ups and downs,

and we've gone through our
fair share of ups and downs.

‐ And we've been super open
about this, Chris,

like‐‐and you know this too.

Our first year after the show

was very difficult.

We went through a lot
of different struggles,

um, and there was a point
in that first year

where it was like, "Whoa,
are‐‐can we even do this?"

‐ We sat down together
and were like,

"We love each other,
but is that enough right now?"

And we kind of just‐‐
it was a fork in the road,

and we chose to stay together,
and we're better for it,

but it was not easy,
so you know,

the love that I have
for you now

that we've been through that,
and it's only gonna get more

with kids and a marriage

and everything
that comes with that.

But it's pretty crazy
looking back.

‐ Kids, marriage,
it's all‐‐

it's all ahead
for you guys, huh?

‐ Definitely.
Just in this last year,

we've had, like, some big,
you know, life moments for us.

We built our first home
together.

Um, we were supposed to get
married a couple weeks ago.

Unfortunately, that didn't‐‐
didn't get to happen

because of COVID, and so we're
kind of resetting that,

you know, excitement again,
'cause we pushed it to 2021.

‐ Well, speaking
of looking ahead,

you know who our new
Bachelorette is.

You're about to get a sister
in your, uh, sorority,
