So we've been renovating
the other side for months now

just been focused on that

so haven't even stepped foot
in the east side

since we started.

I'm loving it more
and more and more.

the old southside neighborhood

And I feel like this
is really gonna be

a good-size starter home.

So right now

dining room, kitchen.

But then upstairs,

So we're gonna take this
3-bedroom, one-bath

and turn it into
a 2-bedroom, 2-1/2-bath...

for the other side, too.

we'll turn into

We bought this side
for $30,000.

and put it upstairs
to vault the front bedroom.

to make the change.

And since our margin's already
pretty small in this budget,

my team and I decided
to just keep the juliet balcony.

railing for the juliet balcony.

wood spindles

throughout the property.

We also decided to add
an artistic panel insert

for the balcony to really
give it some visual interest

since it overlooks the alleyway.

Inside, the team's installing

the white geometric tile
in the bathrooms,

which is really gonna make
the rooms feel big and bright.

We're also making great progress

installing our light-gray
kitchen cabinets,

which, combined with
our patterned backsplash,

will give this space that
funky greenwich village vibe

we're going for.

And m.J. And cory are
finishing up

the judges paneling
under the staircase,

and I can't wait to see
how it turns out.

were all divided by walls.

was the staircase,

and we just left it, like,
with all its little nooks

and crannies
and painted it black.

I think because everything else
in the house

is so light and bright,

it's a really, really cool,
like, feature focal point.

That's the first thing I noticed
when I walked in --

the stairway.

It anchors the room.
I love it.

and we spent about $125,000
in renovations.

So we have $155,000 in it,

and we're gonna list it
for $200,000.

not to buy the townhome,

we did get a full-price offer
at $200,000

just a couple weeks later.

And that gives us a profit
of $45,000.

And now we have more money
that we can put back

into the neighborhood.

We've now renovated a handful
of projects in this little area,

and every project we do adds
value to the neighborhood.

Better neighborhoods,
better communities.
