and focus instead on
the masks as objects,

or art, or art objects.

The larger question obviously
being the role

of the experiential
in the overall function

of the masks.

Not just ceremonial,
but expressive, et cetera.

Maybe, honestly, even just
how it makes you feel.

not to think in those terms
