Oops! The King is in Love

Episode 17

This is so good!

Yelu Ming is well arranged now.

He wants to take a tour in the Capital

to get to know the livelihood in Dongsheng

as well as my personal conduct.

I accommodated him

into the Capital hostel.

No eyes arranged to surveil him

so that he can walk freely in the Capital.

It's also meant to let him know

that I really want to make friends with him.

When he really wants to get back to Mosa,

I'll organize a banquet for him by then.

Are you afraid that someone...

The ones who want him dead most

will not in the least want him to die in the Capital

at this time.

So,

they won't do anything.

Yeah!

Yelu Ming's death will turn the border into battlefield.

Nobody else but he will have to go out there

to defend the Capital by then.

The situation in the palace is so complicated.

Leaving him outside is a better choice.

Is the talent contest really suspended?

I know you might be unhappy

but I have to say

what must be said.

I don't advise you to scramble for power and benefits.

I just hope you to stay happy.

But under the current circumstances,

some of the things

must be done.

I'll definitely help you with all I can.

Yet I reminded you over and over again

that you can't keep that girl by your side.

You just don't listen.

Now the situation just starts to get better.

You must reconsider it.

Master, I know what to do.

This embroidery is careful and compact.

The thread is beautifully done

with amazing accuracy.

The stitches and strength are so similar.

Only one person could have done this

over all those years.

Where did you get this sachet?

Eunuch Hai!

Eunuch Hai

Yeah!

What happened then is still vivid in my mind.

It has become the biggest nightmare in my heart.

By the time this sachet showed up,

I became suspicious.

Did Eunuch Hai hold back anything back then?

He's gone already,

which puts an end to the clue.

Master,

I'm afraid I have to bother you again

with my business.

This can't be wrong.

I've not smelt it

for a lot of years.

It's she.

It's gonna be she.

Who is it?

Auntie Li!

My greetings, Auntie Li!

Why are you here, Lin?

Auntie, you came here

to investigate Eunuch Hai, right?

You should stop it.

I have done it for several days

and haven't got a clue.

Has Eunuch Hai really disappeared?

I also think

Eunuch Hai's sudden disappearance strange.

Eunuch Sanbao

seems sneaking.

I wanted to figure it out

and report to Her Highness.

Lin, if I don't remember it wrong,

His Majesty promoted you

only because Sanbao reported Eunuch Hai's disappearance.

Auntie!

I've been in the palace for years.

I know very well

who has the final say here.

Besides,

I served His Majesty diligently

before I got the title

as the Eunuch in charge at the Eunuchs' Dormitory.

Sanbao got all the benefits.

That's not my ambition.

I would be most grateful

if you could speak a good word for me

in front of Her Highness.

OK!

Her Highness has been suspicious of Sanbao for a long time,

but could do nothing since His Majesty gives hidden protection to her.

Now we have to figure it out.

Come with me tomorrow

to the residence of Sanbao. Let's see what he is hiding.

Sure!

It looks pretty difficult

if we want to move on

with it.

Master,

I have one more place to check out.

How did you find

this damn place?!

It's that girl again.

No worship to the deceased is allowed in the palace.

One would be severely punished if caught.

A blank memorial tablet.

Eunuch Hai is really smart and sophisticated.

Now this ended up in vain again

Forgive me!

Nice!

Why did I not notice it?

Memorial tablet is prepared to worship the deceased.

It's generally considered a taboo.

Nameless memorial tablet may have something in disguise,

but it also stands for certain things.

I just took my chances.

These people used to be

members of the defense army

for the former King just like me.

On the day the former King passed away,

they all disappeared mysteriously.

I don't have any information

about them ever since.

Master,

so are these people victims or murderers?

They are masters out of masters.

Their Kung Fu is above mine.

We took the oath to serve the former King,

so they can't be the murderer.

There is only one possibility then.

They were all sent to protect my biological mother.

Eunuch Hai has been investigating

their whereabouts secretly.

These people were all Kung Fu masters in the palace.

Now their disciples

play a big role in the army.

They are scattered all over the state.

If what you said is true,

we will find this army

if we can find

your biological mother.

We can control a part of the army by then

and change the overall situation.

Master,

Is there any alien moves from the Gong's army outside the Capital?

Not at the moment.

We need to think of ways

to make the Gong's army move away from the Capital

so that we can have the time

to search for my biological mother and the defense army.

If perceived by Gong Ye,

he'll definitely take actions.

Then we'll be...

Yeah!

I just didn't expect

Gong Ye to be so crafty.

He hid the Gong's army

outside the Capital long time ago.

He is totally...

He is totally determined to revolt.

It'll be disastrous

if we further delay it.

But we don't know if your biological mother is still alive or not.

Where can we find them?

You already sent your master out of the palace

to look for your biological mother?

What if

empress dowager finds out?

Empress dowager thought I knew nothing back then

and executed my biological mother secretly.

I was too timid at the time.

But I'm different now.

I can't let go of every single trace.

I...

I can understand it.

I also hope she is alive

and you can unite.

But I'm more worried about your safety now.

Despite that the master loves a little bit of liquor

and always hold a positive attitude towards life,

he's quite reliable

with his business.

What's wrong with you?

You don't have the slightest demeanor

as Jade Qilin of the Capital.

I want you to be carefree without any frown.

Do you hear me?

Yeah!

As a eunuch,

why does he have so many women clothes?

Mother!

Mother!

Mother!

Stop it!

I know what you want to say

and I can't promise it.

Why?

Lin Yanqing is not guilty any more.

He is the Number One Scholar.

He matches me from all aspects.

Do you plan to marry me

to a foreign land

in exchange for another three castles?

How rude that is!

You are the only daughter I have.

I think for you from all aspects.

And you said that in return?

What is good about Lin Yanqing?

What is not good about Lin Yanqing?

Mother,

you treat me the best ever since I'm young.

You always give me

whatever I want.

You must want me

to be happy as well,

right?

Your Highness! Bad news!

Bad news!

What is it that makes you so panicked?

Auntie Li,

is there anything

that you can't say in front of me?

Look at this!

Look at this!

Isn't that breast shroud?

Auntie Li,

why do you bring

something as filthy as this?

We found this from the Leisure Life Pavilion

which is Sanbao's residence.

Your Highness,

nothing as ridiculous as this

ever happened in the past.

How dare she

disguise into eunuch

and debauch the imperial harem!

Auntie Li,

don't make a fuss of it.

Sanbao!

Sanbao!

Ouch!

Brother!

Where is Sanbao?

What do you want to do?

We reached

an agreement yesterday.

No,

Auntie Li found her breast shroud.

Mother knows she is a girl now.

What?!

Your Majesty!

Your...

How ungrateful that is!

My greetings, Your Majesty!

Move out of my way!

Your Majesty!

I said move out of my way!

Off you go!

You delayed over and over again

on the day of picking up your bride.

I've always taken you as an ignorant little King.

However, you just became so unbridled.

Mother, it's not the way you think.

You've kept her by your side for so long.

How do I believe you?!

It's my fault not to have arranged it thoughtfully.

I should have not held it back from you.

I believe you must have been seduced.

No matter who brought

this woman inside the palace,

she must be handled.

No, mother!

It's a disaster

to keep such a woman around you.

How can I watch you destroying your own future?!

Mother,

Sanbao is not that type of girl.

You are the King.

I allow you to have

however many girls you want.

That's how I did on the day when you picked your bride.

This syren cannot be left on earth

to move on

with her sinister cause whatsoever.

I really love Sanbao.

How dare you!

You disagree with everything I said.

Do you still take me as your mother?

Mother,

I have never begged you for anything.

Now I'm begging you to let go of Sanbao.

Seriously?

Is it worth it for a syren?!

Please spare her life.

You!

If I don't kill her,

how shall we justify the rules of the imperial harem.

You may do more things

that will humiliate the national pride

in future.

Mother,

even though I've been cynical over all those years

just like the general people,

I understand that

it was you who helped me to the throne

and attended to state affairs.

If you still want to hold on to the power,

I am your best choice.

I'm not married yet or have any offspring.

My peers of the same generation have already grown up.

Minor nephews are being taken care of by elder generations.

If you lose me now,

it will be unreasonable for you

to still attend to the state affairs

as the empress dowager.

Are you threatening me?

If you promise to let go of Sanbao,

I'll send her outside of the palace right away

and not meet her any more.

I'll obey to whatever you say

without any second thought.

That's most merciful of you.

How can I say no to it!

Zhixia,

no matter what happens,

I'll surely protect you well.

Yanqing pays respect to Your Majesty!

Is there anything I can do for you?

Yanqing,

what's your idea about

marrying Anle?

Your Majesty,

I have never thought about it?

Why?

Marrying my sister is a big grievance to you?

Your Majesty know who I have in mind.

Please don't force me

to do things against my conscience.

So how about

making a bet with me?

If you lose,

marry Anle.

What if I win?

Take Zhixia outside the palace.

What do you mean, Your Majesty!

You don't want to use Gong Zhiyue as the bet.

How could I use Zhixia as a bet?!

In the talent contest,

I've met numerous beautiful girls

and suddenly lose interest to Zhixia.

If I were to drive her out of the palace,

she must fight back.

So,

let's make a bet.

I don't buy it.

You know how important Zhiyue is to me.

I'll sooner or later marry her and make her my queen.

But Zhixia is unwilling

to let me marry another woman.

I have been impulsive in the past

and lost my mind.

But now

I figured it out.

I don't want Zhixia

to be the biggest obstacle on my way to the throne.

Your Majesty,

you!

She has been loyal to me!

I don't want to humiliate her.

It's most suitable

for you to do it.

So Your Majesty want to lose

and give Zhixia to me?

What does Zhixia mean to you?

Is she a toy to you?

I won't deny it

if you have to say so.

Don't Your Majesty think it's going to far

to do so?!

It's so common for a King to have a lot of wives.

Zhixia is unwilling to understand the troubles I have as a King.

Besides,

I am the King.

All the people in my territory are my servants.

I can use whoever I want

as the bet.

If you are unwilling,

then get married with Anle.

I'll plan otherwise

for Zhixia.

Your Majesty,

hold on a second!

I'm willing to make the bet with you.

Your Majesty, you...

I heard Lin Yanqing has very good drawing skills.

So I invited him here for a contest.

Lin Yanqing,

let's draw Sanbao.

The drawing must be finished in the time of burning an incense stick.

Sanbao will be the judge.

Whoever's drawing resembles her the most will win.

What do you think?

A King's words are no joke.

I'll definitely do all that I can.

Since you two are so interested in it,

go on with it!

You can draw as freely as you want

and for as many hours as you want.

I'll be right here.

There you go!

All that I pursue for my life time

is the happiness with my loved one.

I just want the type of

simple and easy life.

You like me?

You like me?

I want the whole world to know

you like me.

Yan Jin likes Yan Zhixia.

We'll be together forever.

Yanqing, let me have a look.

Your drawing is quite nice.

Your Majesty,

let me see yours.

Is this what I am

in your heart?

Mine is pretty good.

Yeah,

but...

this is not the Sanbao we were talking about.

Now I announce Lin Yanqing wins.

I lost it.

Remember!

Bring all the tasty

and the funny stuff back for me.

Sure thing!

You can't count on me.

Yanqing,

Sanbao is in your hands now.

Yes, Your Majesty!

I'll not forget your orders.

Yanqing, don't be so serious.

We're going out of the palace.

Hurry up!

We should get back before darkness.

Wait for my return.

His Majesty loves stinky tofu best.

And fried spicy chicken breast as well.

You must remind me of it later on.

And, I'd better pay a visit to Emerald Bordello

so that my mother can cook some upper part of a leg of pork for me.

But you must help me with it

because my mother won't let me bring that for His Majesty.

Lin Yanqing...

Zhixia,

don't get back.

Your Majesty!

I have an errand for you.

Yes!

Your Highness, Sanbao went out of the palace.

Hmmm!

I saw Your Highness and His Majesty were on the verge of breaking out a fight,

which scared me a lot.

What is there for you to be scared of?

I only want to take the chance

to make him understand

however powerful he is,

I helped him to get the throne.

The power of the throne is still in my hands.

Why are you here?

His Majesty sent you to pick me up, right?

How lovely!

Off we go!

I bought a lot of tasty stuff for His Majesty!

You two will have a portion too.

What are you doing?

As per His Majesty's command,

Eunuch Sanbao is not allowed to get into the palace again.

Yes!

Where is His Majesty!

I want to see His Majesty!

Stop it!

Sir,

don't make it hard for us.

Go!

Don't come back again!

You know it all.

Zhixia,

don't be silly.

Come with me!

I'll be good to you

for the rest of my life.

As soon as I got grandpa out,

I'll resign.

Let's stay away

from that ruthless palace.
