view of the natural world. these days, we need to get back

wish you wouldn't do that from a position of comfort look down

on me and make me feel worse with rubbish advice of thing.

but then he looks at the way the Lord cuz so far in the

friends and said Listen, this is the way the world the world

works, but then Job says, Is it really like that? and he says,

look at the way the world actually works that the Lord

does raise up and bring down, but it doesn't seem to work

along the lines of the goodies are lift. And the bodies are

pulled down, he says. When I look at the world, I see like

priests like the the the religious people, the people

who are supposed to be the goodies. Sometimes they're the

ones who are stripped and and brought down or the lips of

trusted advisers taken away. so he says No. I don't think the

world is as simplistic as you guys say it is so first of all

it says that but I like it in Chapter 13 because he's really

saying verse three chapter 13. It's very important. Yes, he's

saying. Look. I don't think the world is quite what you think.

But what I really need is to meet with the Almighty. I

decided to speak to the Almighty to argue my case with

God. so he's like saying I'm looking for answers. Yeah, I

mean I hear what you're saying. I don't think it fits. it

doesn't come from me. It doesn't seem to be how the

world works, but I what I really need is him. I need him

so job is just pressing on really right through Chapter

12, Verse 13, and he's feeding his case and it's that first. I

just have to speak to the Almighty to argue my case with

with God how dangerous is it to engage with God like that?

Well? It depends. it depends if you're outside of Christ coming

before the most Holy father, who's eyes are to pure to even

look on evil. It's it's a perilous thing to come before

the father outside of Christ, Hebrews 10 Verse 31. It's a

dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God and yet

in Christ in Christ in the great mediator who has one hand

on us and one hand on the Father In Him, we can. Him and

we can call him father and we have that intimacy and so from

job 13 verse three, We see that what Joe really wants more than

an answer. I mean he does ask for an answer. He does. He does

20 times. He asks God, you know why is this happening to me and

we can understand that but more than that from far more deeply,

he wants the Lord himself. He wants to know Christ himself

and know the father through him and when we see that that trust

coming through, especially in verse 15 of Chapter 13, though

he slay. Yes, will I hope in him? That's what he wants. He

wants the Lord himself no matter what happens. Oh, that's

a verse that matters have used and people in the deepest

suffering or deepest Mara. If you slay Yes, I will trust him

and be brought low and I like the fact that people would

often say to her. Oh, here's the answer or here's what you

always give us answers. He gives us himself yes and and

Look whether I have loads of suffering or in the last days

of my life, or maybe I've got a few more days. Whatever

nevertheless, each day, I need to learn this. The word of the

Lord stands forever. I do not and I have no life other than

him. If I'm built on him, I have a life that's secure him

forever without him And just like smoke or like a weed and

nothing other than him. It's a it's a powerful meditation that

we need to regular. Have 250 years ago, People would think

quite a lot about death because it was close to them in the

West as it's not so close to us now with better health and all

the rest of it. so but it's right, isn't it for a young

person to quite early on to think well, What about eternity

my future? my mortality? all of that? What is job think about

death in Chapter 14, for example, verse 14. If a man

To me something beyond the grave, but then he thinks a bit

further in verse 10, but he says, but man dies at his laid

low. You know for us. It's not so much the circle of life.

It's just an arrow pointed straight from the grave which

is a terrifying thought for him, but he thinks about it

some more and then we get to verse 30 and he says. If only

you Lord would hide me in the grave and conceal me till your

anger has passed or should we say past over we sort of

thinking. 12 turns that way that there is a shelter in the

grave And just like the Israelite Shelton under the

blood of the lamb. So we who trust in Jesus and in His death

as we go into death, then we can be sheltered from God's

wrath And then we will be remembered and verse 13 and the

verse 14. We will wait for our renewal to come in verse 15. I

love this You Lord will call and I will answer you as we

think of Lazarus at the tomb saying to. Or rather Jesus at

the tomb, saying Lazarus come out he he longs for Lazarus

verse 15. He calls to Lazarus and then verse six verse 16 out

we will come from the grave, but we will leave our sins

behind. so that's a great hope resurrection from the dead, but

then in verses 18 to 20 - two job sort of takes his eyes off

that truth. And then it becomes a very bleak kind of thing. he

seems to sink down into his suffering when he doesn't have

his eyes fixed on Jesus and If I remember, it's because I

remember talking to an international leader, it was a

privilege to talk with him because he was suffering

greatly with this the whole bunch of people that he was

supposed to be leading in this part of the world and his

people in despair, They said to him what do we do or how we

survive all this and his answer was we are in the Middle of a

great storm, but Jesus is with us in the boat and if we can

keep our eyes on Jesus, he will help us.
