Lin Miao, you and Su Cheng...

You...You know my boyfriend?

Who?

Su Cheng Jun!!

Someone said he was on the roof,

but when I came to look for him,

there was no one here.

Are you his colleague?

Do you know where he is?

The marketing department on the 14th floor.

Okay, thanks.

Wait.

Do you like your boyfriend a lot?

Of course!

I want to spend the rest of my life with him!

President Jiao,

I'm your assistant.

It's my duty to bring you an umbrella.

Please stop saying

these obscure statements.

So the man you came here to look for

isn't me.

Jun,

what are you doing here?

I...

I said, don't look for me at the company.

It's just that

you haven't been answering my calls recently.

So I thought I'd come by.

And I told you I was busy.

I know, I know.

Hello, Assistant Lin.

Alright.

Okay, I'll send it to you right away.

Who's that?

Colleague.

Which colleague? Have I seen her before?

I remembered now.

Is it her?

Lin Miao, right?

How did you know?

Is she off work? I'll go look for her.

Lin Miao! Lin Miao! Lin...

That's enough!

Did she hit on you or did you hit on her?

Tell me!

Jun, if you continue to be so immature,

so childish,

I think it's time for us

to consider whether

it's suitable for us to be together.

Come in.

Worthy to be taught!

You volunteered to work overnight!

What's the matter?

You didn't go home,

I knew you would have to change the suit,

so I brought it to you.

Thanks for the trouble,

but Xin has already bought it for me.

You're back. Thanks for your hard work.

Ready for a meeting at any time!

Right now then.

Let's go!

Let's go.

Thanks for your efforts over the past two days.

For our donation campaign,

we are finally going to submit the answer sheet.

Manager Su,

please coordinate with Assistant Lin and Director Zhao

on the donation candidate platform

you've compiled.

Director Zhao will make the final decision.

Once the donations are distributed,

our battle shall be considered a great success.

Alright.

As for the rest,

start the preparation of the following new project with me,

the development of the base for artificially cultivating althaea.

We are going to rely on this project

to strike a comeback.

Yes!

As for Assistant Lin,

you can just resume your daily duty.

You don't have to take on the althaea project.

What?

Dismiss.

What is it, Assistant Lin?

President Jiao,

have I made any mistakes at work recently?

Have you?

Then have I said something wrong?

Have you?

Then why are you being so unusual?

So what's not unusual?

Assistant Lin,

have I been unfair to you at work?

No.

Am I not nice to you in private?

Neither.

In that case, why are you saying that I'm unusual?

Because...

Because you're not doing this usually.

I just think that

a professional working relationship

is better for you and me.

From now on, get a taxi to work.

Remember to get the receipt for the fare.

I'll have the finance department reimburse it to you.

Right. That's good.

Draw the line.

It's for the best.

Director Zhao,

these two donation platforms

have been chosen after evaluation

as the most suitable for the nature of our donation.

Please have a look.

The data in every aspect is very similar,

it's really hard to choose between them.

Manager Su, in this case,

which of these two platforms

do you think will bring more prestige to Hong Yu?

I will respect your opinion.

This one.

Manager Su, about you signing a private agreement,

I've heard about it.

I'm not as kind as President Jiao.

Personally,

I would rather believe it exists than it does not.

So I will respect your opinion,

but I won't accept it.

The fish bit the bait.

Reel it in.

You're quitting?

Jiang Rou has just wired the donations

to the third-party platform determined by Director Zhao.

The other party has confirmed they received it.

The crowd-funded donation

is considered to end.

As for me, it's time to step down.

Is it because of the chairman?

No.

It's just that with my status,

it's really not a good idea to stay in Hong Yu.

Alright.

Since you've made your decision, I will respect you.

Manager Su, with your capabilities,

whether you're in Hong Yu

or elsewhere,

I believe you will make it big in the future.

Thank you, President Jiao.

I'm Su Cheng Jun.

I can start tomorrow.

I'm sure that the future of working in Zhong Qing

will be very pleasant.

Why aren't you eating?

Not hungry.

You have to eat even if you're not hungry.

Company lunches are served per person,

so it would be a waste if you don't eat it.

President Jiao,

I'm just an assistant,

so you don't need to be bothered

whether I eat or not.

Assistant Lin.

Manager Su, can I help you?

I'm officially leaving Hong Yu tomorrow.

If you don't mind,

would you like to have dinner with me?

Leaving Hong Yu?

I've just tendered my formal resignation

to President Jiao.

President Jiao?

Do you need to be notified of your superior's decision?

Don't worry, it's my choice.

Six o'clock tonight.

Are you going?

Whether I'm going or not...

Whether you're going or not,

I don't need to be bothered about it.

President Jiao,

for the donation,

I have completed the wire transfer

according to Manager Zhao's instructions.

They said that they would give us an official certificate

tomorrow morning.

I believe the controversy

will settle down in no time.

There's one more thing you to have a look at.

A feasibility plan for the artificial cultivation of althaea.

You wrote this?

I found it in Assistant Lin's wastebasket.

Didn't I tell her not to touch this project?

Judging from its thickness,

she should have

started working on it

since you first proposed the idea.

I was wondering how much work Assistant Lin has put into it.

What work is this hectic?

Why does it feel like every day is a race against time for you?

People's time is very precious.

Of course, I need to be smart about it.

Never waste it on

unworthy people or stuff.

Here you go again.

Now I'm curious

what is the important thing.

The thing that you are willing to spend your time on

is the important thing.

The person that you're willing to waste your time on

is an important person.

Got it, President Jiao?

Manager Su, why did you resign?

Is it because of what the chairman said the other day?

The food in this restaurant is excellent, and it's close to the office,

it's a restaurant that I like very much,

but I can't just go to this one.

Manager Su, you jumped ship?

In the new company, I'll be a director.

Well, congratulations.

I'm sure wherever you are,

you'll have a good prospect.

Assistant Lin,

do you really have that much faith in me?

There's actually something I've been meaning to tell you.

All along,

I've had a strange feeling.

I felt like I've known you for a long time.

I've never thought that

someone knew me so well in presence.

I don't even need to speak,

just a single glance,

and she could understand what I was thinking.

Manager Su,

I suddenly remembered.

President Jiao has something else for me to do.

Sorry, I have to go.

Assistant Lin,

perhaps it is a little rude of me

to say all this today out of the blue,

but I just want you to give me

a chance to pursue you.

Sorry,

she can't say yes.

The reason is simply,

because the one she likes is me.

Excuse me.

Let's go.

Jiao Yang, why do you have to rob me of everything!

No, President Jiao, you...

President Jiao.

President Jiao, please let go

President Jiao!

What do you think you're doing?

You're the one who said to draw the line!

I regret it.

Lin Miao,

for you,

my matter is worth spending your time on, right?

No.

For you,

I'm worth spending your time on, right?

No.

You're only answering like that

because you're from the future.

Last time, at the celebration banquet at Yue Rong Villa,

you were drunk and you told me that.

President Jiao,

how can you take it seriously what I said after I was drunk?

I was drunk and talked about nonsense.

You should be familiar with these two things.

Lin Wei Jun left them behind when she came to the office last time.

Lin Miao,

I know everything,

and you don't have to hide.

I really don't care where you're from,

and I don't care who you really are.

I just want to confirm one thing right now,

I like you.

I don't like you.

I don't believe it.

President Jiao, everything I did for you

was only out of respect for the job.

If during working with you,

my approaches and manners

have caused you a misunderstanding,

I am very sorry.

You are lying.

But you clearly said last time that

if it wasn't for the two of us being from different dimensions...

President Jiao, you're also a grown man.

Think sensibly.

Everything said after drinking is not true.

You are right.

Maintaining a professional working relationship

is good for everyone.

I remember what you said.

Lin Miao!

Jiao Yang,

there is something wrong with the donation.

Donation fraud of Hong Yu

Donation fraud of Hong Yu

Dong Hai Business Daily

President Jiao,

aren't you trying to calm the public opinion

and give the public and the board

a satisfying answer?

This result is just way too satisfying.

Chairman,

since our young President Jiao took office,

things have been happening over and over again.

The board has given him his chances.

This incident involves the reputation of the entire Hong Yu Group.

I'm afraid that you

have to give the members of the board an explanation.

A manager of a company,

committed an integrity violation of fraud,

which company will work with us in the future?

I'm sorry, everyone,

I have failed to meet your expectations,

I will keep my promise

and resign as the Vice President of Hong Yu Group.

President Jiao,

don't be so impulsive.

This is something that we, within the board,

still need to discuss.

Why don't we follow the old rules and vote on it?

What does the chairman think?

I oppose the resignation of President Jiao.

The name list was drafted by Su Cheng Jun,

so he must have tampered with it.

We can't let him off so easily.

But we do not have any evidence.

Even if we want to report it to the police,

judging from the process,

we are the one who contacted the platform.

What a shame that I usually admire him so much!

Assistant Lin,

this is also your fault at work, isn't it?

In that case,

everyone in the president's office is responsible.

I will hold what responsibility is to be held.

Pointing fingers at each other at this moment

is the most meaningless.

The priority now is to find a way to deal with it.

Let's do this, Xin,

head over to the legal department,

inform them about the specific details,

and see if they have any solutions.

Okay.

Director Zhao,

we can only rely on you on the communication channel.

If necessary, use some connections.

Okay, I'll take care of it.

This Su Cheng Jun, I won't let him off the hook!

Raise your hand if you agree with President Jiao's resignation.

Chairman,

do you and President Zhao abstain from voting?

I have no objection.

There is nothing wrong with punishing the guilty.

But before we conclude the meeting,

I would like every one of the board

to first take a look at this report in your hands.

This is Leisure's income statement in the first quarter,

Why it has increased so much from last quarter

and the same quarter last year?

Who would have thought that the rooftop wedding

and the Industry Association would have such an outstanding effect.

Fellow board members,

although Jiao Yang has been in turmoil

ever since he became the Vice President of Hong Yu,

but I believe that the achievements that he has made

are visible to all of you.

He is young.

We must allow him to learn by trial and error

in order to grow.

I will not oppose to the board of directors'resolution

to fire Jiao Yang,

but I hope the company can give Jiao Yang a chance

to redeem himself.

I just got the news.

Heng Yuan Properties will be holding a citywide tender

for a commercial site in the development area

in three days.

The document I have in my hand is an internal document.

The official documents for the tender will be distributed later

to any enterprises in the city that are interested in the project.

I propose that Jiao Yang temporarily

represents Hong Yu in the bidding

as an ordinary project team leader.

If he fails,

the company won't suffer from any losses，

but if he succeeds,

Heng Yuan's position in the industry,

which is well known to everyone

will surely bring great benefits to the company.

Until then, we will judge again,

whether Jiao Yang

is a qualified Vice President or not.

What do the board members think?

This is bad! This is bad!

You... Sit down and talk.

Why are you shouting and screaming?

Is there anything worse than a donation fraud?

Ding Ding,

now we are all concerned about President Jiao,

we don't have time to listen to

your rumors and gossip.

President Jiao, resigned!

Resign?!

This is really bad!

Are you sure it wasn't the board that fired him,

and that it was him who resigned?

Yes!

It was a vote within the board,

four against one, approving of President Jiao's resignation.

Sorry, excuse me for interrupting.

The human resources department has received a notice from the board,

During this period,

all benefits of the Vice President for President Jiao will be cancelled,

which includes transportation, outings and banquets,

all of which must be applied for from the company.

As for the Vice President's office,

it will be sealed off for now.

Don't touch President Jiao's belongings!

If you want to get into President Jiao's office,

you have to go through us first!

Before President Jiao returns,

we're sorry we can't cooperate with you,

is that okay?

Right! if anything goes wrong here,

who's going to be responsible?

Right!

This is an order from the board, please cooperate!

Go!

-Stop it! -Let's talk...

Sorry for delaying your work. Thanks for your hard work.

Thank you, President Jiao.

Stand still.

I appreciate your good intentions,

but they're just carrying out the order.

There's no need for us to make things difficult for them.

President Jiao, I'm sorry.

For the coordination

I could have been more thorough.

You don't have to say that.

If you think about it from another perspective, you've actually helped me.

Really. I've long wanted to work with you

closely.

Besides,

after stepping down from that position I'm pretty relaxed.

Alright, let's not talk about this.

There are two important things

that I need you all to accomplish.

Any confidence?

President Jiao,

since you've already resigned,

why would the company still assign you an assignment?

Because sometimes,

crises can be turned into opportunities.

What does that mean?

What President Jiao means is,

if we can get this bidding done right,

you'll have a chance to be reinstated.

Retreat for the sake of advancing.

Eventually winning.

That's great, President Jiao!

We'll do our best

to help you strike a good comeback!

Alright!

Over the next period,

As a team lead,

I will lead you to participate in this bidding.

But this bidding, to us,

will a challenge

So the time coming,

everyone may have to work a little harder.

And,

from now on, you have to address me as Leader Jiao.

You will always be our President Jiao.

You are such a flatterer.

And,

I'm no longer the Vice President of Hong Yu.

I appreciate you all for being willing to stay with me.

President Jiao, what are you talking about?

The President's office is all in one boat.

President Jiao has to start punching in tomorrow.

Don't be late.

I'll try.

President Jiao, you need to apply for

an employee's cafeteria card.

You can go and apply it later.

By the way, President Jiao,

where will you be working from now on?

Isn't there an empty seat next to Assistant Lin?

President Jiao,

why don't you just sit next to Assistant Lin?

That way you can communicate and work more easily.

Let's not talk about this issue first.

Our top priority

is to solve the problem of the donation

and the bidding of Heng Yuan.

Together, we will...

Go! Go! Go!

Cheng Jun!

What are you doing here?

I...

I...I've thought about it calmly,

and I feel like our problem is that

we hardly communicate with each other.

It's just that we've hardly seen each other,

and talked to each other recently.

I didn't even know you changed jobs.

There is a lot of work to be done at the new company

and I haven't had the chance to tell you about it yet.

Why did you suddenly change jobs?

You used to tell me everything.

Look for a job, Jun.

I've got a new job.

You should get a new life, too.

Without you, how can there be a new life?

President Jiao, still not getting off work?

I'm not in a hurry.

By the way, this is for you.

What is it?

It was sot out by Assistant Lin this afternoon,

regarding all the details of the donation.

She wanted me to take this document

to the board of directors to clear it up for you.

What's this all about?

Why would she put everything on herself?

Where is she?

She said she had something

important to do today and left.

Okay, carry on with your work.

Alright.

Jiao Yang

Granny,

that boy confessed his love to me yesterday,

but I turned him down.

We're from two different worlds

and it's never going to work out.

It's good.

It's good to draw a line.

At first, I thought

I would just need to do my work properly...

But I trusted the wrong person,

and he was forced to resign.

President Jiao brought me to Yue Rong

initially to promote me,

but I would have thought that

I did nothing helpful.

Manager Su, you don't have to blame yourself.

You've already done a good job.

If I had paid more attention

to the anomalies in the villa in those days,

maybe this wouldn't have happened.

Anyhow, the most important thing right now

is to help President Jiao get out of this situation.

Actually,

I do have an idea.

And what is that?

Do charity.

Charity?

Yes.

We can make targeted charitable donations

to official environmental organizations.

Those environmental enthusiasts

are just under the misconception that we are destroying the environment.

We just need to tell them with our actions that

we are willing to do our part for the environment,

and with the official endorsement,

in this way,

I believe that the controversy will soon be even out.

Although he said it was okay

and there was still a chance to make it right,

seeing his look when he was comforting us,

made me feel worse instead.

He might as well just scold me

or simply ignore me,

I would have felt better.

You're home.

It's late, get some rest.

I'm not sleepy.

I can't sleep with you like this.

I'm sorry then.
