[Engines Rumbling]

TRAVIS: Distance?

CALLISTA: 42 kilometers.

TRAVIS: Gap?

CALLISTA: Increasing 1.67 kilometers a minute.

TRAVIS: What about deploying the beetles?

RUDOLPHO: According to these instructions,

we need to be closer.

TRAVIS: Marcus?

MARCUS: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,

I'm working on it, I'm working on it.

It would be a lot easier if we had Percy.

[Over Speaker] TRAVIS: We don't.

MARCUS: Okay, how's that?

CALLISTA: Gap's decreasing.

TRAVIS: I owe you a beer Marcus.

Assuming we don't fall apart first.

MARCUS: The molecular structure's losing integrity.

We're down to 91%.

TRAVIS: Range?

RUDOLPHO: Closing, closing,

and beetles away.

[Beetles Buzzing]

RUDOLPHO: We've got to get closer,

otherwise I'll never get a lock on.

TRAVIS: Hear that Marcus?

MARCUS: Things are never good enough for you guys is it?

TRAVIS: Well what can you do?

MARCUS: Well if you don't mind redlining it.

TRAVIS: Do it.

[Dramatic Music]

CALLISTA: Molecular integrity's down to 83% now.

TRAVIS: Your point?

CALLISTA: They're just ship jackers.

RUDOLPHO: Yeah they're carrying a very big bounty

from Jupiter Fed, money we really need.

TRAVIS: Your call.

CALLISTA: Marcus how long before we come apart?

MARCUS: If Travis makes it a single malt,

I can give you three minutes tops.

CALLISTA: Fine deal.

MARCUS: Uh oh.

TRAVIS: What's up Marcus?

MARCUS: Percy's customized the system to pieces.

I don't know what she's done here.

Okay, I'm gonna try and bypass the cooling flow.

Maybe that'll do it.

Whoa.

TRAVIS: What's up Marcus, what's that?

MARCUS: Okay,

I think I've fixed it.

But if Percy's done anything to conflict with what

I just did we're in for a very big loud surprise.

[Beetles Buzzing]

[Spaceship Humming]

[Dramatic Music]

RUDOLPHO: Two more to go.

TRAVIS: Stay with it Marcus.

MARCUS: You come down here and say that.

[Alarm Blaring]

CALLISTA: What is that?

MARCUS: Okay in technical terms that means,

slow down now or we're all gonna die.

[Dramatic Music] [Spaceship Humming]

CALLISTA: Car, did not say they had an antimatter drive.

TRAVIS: No he didn't.

RUDOLPHO: Uh, that's just what we need,

bloody rocket stroke bomb.

TRAVIS: You fix those beetles on yet?

RUDOLPHO: Bigger than two, we don't need that bounty.

TRAVIS: Lock them on Rudolpho.

Right.

[Alarm Blaring]

RUDOLPHO: It's one more to go.

TRAVIS: Marcus throw us everything you've got.

MARCUS: Yeah, what do you think I did 30 seconds ago?

CALLISTA: Travis, we need to put some space

between us before they go up.

Travis.

TRAVIS: Marcus,

kill the engines.

MARCUS: With pleasure, Travis.

[Alarm Blaring]

MARCUS: Okay the engines are powering down.

RUDOLPHO: Whoa. [Callista Whistling]

[Opening Theme Music]

[Spaceship Humming]

TRAVIS: I don't know about you guys but I'm tired

of playing catch up in this...

CALLISTA: Tin can?

RUDOLPHO: Antiquated bucket?

TRAVIS: How about vessel of character

in need of a few tweaks.

CALLISTA: Tweaks?

TRAVIS: Tweaks.

How many ships in our system have an antimatter drive?

CALLISTA: If you're thinking what I think

you're thinking that requires more

than just a tweak. TRAVIS: How many ships?

RUDOLPHO: Five, maybe six.

TRAVIS: Including us.

You Rudy who had the foresight

I seem to recall to grab one a few years back.

RUDOLPHO: Flattery will get you everywhere Travis

except me agreeing to try the damn thing out.

TRAVIS: Thought you were all for it.

RUDOLPHO: Yeah, well I've changed my mind.

Call me an old fart, but I think antimatter is too risky.

TRAVIS: You're an old fart.

CALLISTA: I may regret saying this but I agree with Rudolpho.

TRAVIS: Then you're a--

CALLISTA: You know what Travis?

Antimatter is just too unstable.

RUDOLPHO: Well put gorgeous.

CALLISTA: I mean you can't collect

on a bounty if you're dead.

TRAVIS: Fortune favors the brave?

CALLISTA: Yeah, but only fools rush in.

MARCUS: But,

CALLISTA: There's always a but.

MARCUS: Well there is something, follow me.

So I put two and two together and started to think well,

maybe we should give it a try.

RUDOLPHO: Give what try?

MARCUS: Negative energy.

Okay, comfortable?

Now antimatter drives use antimatter

as an energy source right?

Well I think that negative energy could be used as well.

It's a lot more stable than antimatter, the negative

atomic weight causes the nucleus to counterspin.

RUDOLPHO: I'm beginning to counterspin.

MARCUS: I think that I could reconfigure our drive

to accept negative energy, I mean I think.

I haven't actually done the equations yet.

TRAVIS: Why hasn't anyone else tried this?

MARCUS: I don't know,

maybe they're not as smart as I am.

CALLISTA: Probably not wonder boy,

but after you've done the math

can you guarantee us that we're not gonna

blow up when we try this thing out?

MARCUS: How about this?

If I can't guarantee it then we don't try it.

RUDOLPHO: I don't suppose we get this

negative energy from a catalog do we?

MARCUS: Not quite.

TRAVIS: Didn't think so.

MARCUS: Negative energy can be produced by

an exotic laser bombardment of duranium 237.

RUDOLPHO: Oh duranium 237, that should be easy to come by.

CALLISTA: What about that hell storm asteroid that we blew up?

I mean it was full of duranium.

There's gotta be huge chunks of it still out there.

MARCUS: Yeah, I already thought about that but

our particle beam would have the opposite affect

of an exotic laser, it would make the duranium inert.

RUDOLPHO: Oh yeah, sounds like a bird I dated once.

MARCUS: Well what about the Carris Group?

They had duranium didn't they?

TRAVIS: Are we talking the same Carris Group

that were completely and utterly destroyed by the Orchard?

Car, show us a list of scientists

who were attached to the Carris Group.

Cross check all known associates.

Anybody see anything?

RUDOLPHO: Oh, stop there.

That name rings a bell, Jay Beckers.

Yeah, Jay Beckers, deals in thorium,

dulusnium, and duranium.

I also happen to know that he deals

in other less legal energy sources.

TRAVIS: Well isn't that a surprise, you actually know him?

RUDOLPHO: Only by reputation.

But I might know somebody who might

know somebody who might know somebody.

TRAVIS: Got it.

RUDOLPHO: Course it'll mean a trip to Syn City.

CARAVAGGIO: May I remind you that altering

the antimatter drive as you are suggesting

will require a change of energy source permit?

TRAVIS: You can't be serious.

CARAVAGGIO: Trans Federation laws on this matter

are very specific and strictly enforced.

To proceed without a permit risks

permanent loss of the ship.

Do you wish me to file for a permit?

RUDOLPHO: How much will that cost?

CARAVAGGIO: 20,000 credits.

CALLISTA: Ouch.

TRAVIS: Will it work?

MARCUS: Trust me.

RUDOLPHO: If there's one thing I've learned in life,

never trust a man who says, "Trust Me."

CALLISTA: I'll second that.

TRAVIS: You sure your friends will lead us to Beckers?

RUDOLPHO: Trust me.

[Engines Rumbling]

MARCUS: So who's this friend of a friend of a friend?

RUDOLPHO: A friend.

MARCUS: Why is it I don't seem to trust any of your friends?

RUDOLPHO: 'Cause they're untrustworthy.

MARCUS: So technically they're not really friends?

RUDOLPHO: Friendship's a matter of opinion Marcus.

MARCUS: And what's your opinion of this friend?

[Rudolpho Laughing]

RUDOLPHO: Nice try.

MARCUS: Listen, how about you tell me who we're meeting

when we get to Syn City otherwise

I'm gonna rig your shower to the waste disposal.

RUDOLPHO: And I will not know the difference.

MARCUS: Come on Rudolpho what's the big secret?

RUDOLPHO: There's nothing wrong with secrets Marcus.

MARCUS: Oh, don't give me that.

RUDOLPHO: Maybe I just like winding you up.

[Dramatic Music]

TRAVIS: Feels strange in here don't you think?

CALLISTA: I'm sorry?

TRAVIS: With everyone gone the ship feels quiet.

CALLISTA: Yeah, I like it.

TRAVIS: Oh, yeah?

CALLISTA: Yeah, gives me a chance to hear myself think.

TRAVIS: Think of anything good?

CALLISTA: Honestly Travis I was thinking it might

do you some good to get to know me better.

TRAVIS: Really?

Thought we knew each other pretty well.

CALLISTA: Okay if we know each other so well,

what am I doing?

TRAVIS: Studying star charts.

[Callista Scoffs]

TRAVIS: Alright what are you doing?

CALLISTA: It's something I used to do as a kid.

I had a map of the galaxy and I'd pick a planet

and try to imagine what life was like there.

Just a game.

TRAVIS: Right,

well, I'll leave you to it then.

CALLISTA: I've always liked that one.

TRAVIS: Unnamed 2167, catchy.

CALLISTA: You know it's funny all I wanted to do

then was get away.

And I chose this life because I knew

that I could not afford to rest my happiness

or identity in anyone else's hands but my own.

And even though it's been hard,

I have had an amazing journey,

and I don't regret a single moment of it.

And I'm not gonna start now.

TRAVIS: I like the way you think.

CALLISTA: That's a first,

thanks.

Your turn.

TRAVIS: Well you know about Dante, you know I was a raider.

I mean look I've seen things I never wanted to see

and I've don't things I never wanted to do.

And these days I just want to keep it simple.

One day at a time.

CALLISTA: And?

TRAVIS: And that's it.

CALLISTA: That's it?

TRAVIS: Yeah.

CALLISTA: That's all you have to tell me?

Travis I already know those things.

Just forget it.

TRAVIS: Hey you really want to know something about me?

CARAVAGGIO: Excuse me.

TRAVIS: Be careful what you wish for,

you might just get it.

What is it Car?

CARAVAGGIO: I'm being hailed by a representative

of Jupiter Fed in response to our permit request.

TRAVIS: Put it through.

TIBBIT: I wish to speak the captain of the Trans Utopian.

TRAVIS: I'm Travis Montana, how can I help you?

TIBBIT: You've requested a change of energy source permit.

TRAVIS: That's right.

TIBBIT: This requires an onsite inspection

of your antimatter module for certification.

TRAVIS: Actually we haven't decided to go ahead with it yet.

TIBBIT: But your request is already in the system.

Which means an automatic inspection.

Failure to comply carries very serious penalties.

If you'd be so kind as to make the necessary arrangements

for my arrival at 19:30 IO standard time.

TRAVIS: Excuse me.

TIBBIT: Young man, you aware of the 2258

regulations pertaining to the cruise weight category vessel

and navigational and engineering hygiene systems

section 12, subsection two, paragraph four, amendment three?

TRAVIS: Car, translate it to English please.

CARAVAGGIO: Section 12, paragraph four of the 22nd--

TRAVIS: Just the headlines.

CARAVAGGIO: Any ships crew suspected of resending a permit

owing to unlicensed modifications may be fined.

And the fines I might add can be quite steep.

TIBBIT: I can see someone appreciates regulations.

Please make the necessary arrangements.

TRAVIS: Car, why didn't you mention that

we were gonna have to have this inspection?

CARAVAGGIO: I assumed it was a matter of common knowledge.

CALLISTA: Common knowledge to you maybe.

[Engines Rumbling]

MARCUS: Yeah well if this contact of yours

is so hot I want to meet them too.

RUDOLPHO: Marcus, I don't give away contacts, it's not--

MARCUS: Good business, yeah, yeah I've heard that before.

If good business is all it is

then why are you acting so nervous?

RUDOLPHO: I'm not nervous.

MARCUS: Jittery then.

RUDOLPHO: Marcus, much as I really like getting annoyed

will you please drop it?

I can't sniff out Jay Beckers in the pleasure zone.

I'll meet you in the War Angel, one hour.

MARCUS: It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it.

RUDOLPHO: Any time today.

MARCUS: Oh, you mean right now?

Oh right, yeah sure.

[Suspenseful Music]

TRAVIS: Thanks to Percy 90% of this is nonregulation.

CALLISTA: Can we fix it?

TRAVIS: Well, I tell you he can't see this that's for sure.

CALLISTA: Yeah, no kidding.

TRAVIS: Any suggestions?

CALLISTA: No, but as the chief ranking officer,

if he checks it you're in big trouble.

TRAVIS: Let's just keep him out of here.

BARTENDER: Come on drink, drink drink drink drink drink drink.

Come on drink!

[Crowd Cheering] [Drum Roll Playing]

KARINA: Papa Bear.

It's Papa Bear!

[Cheering and Applauding]

KARINA: Where have you been you big lout?

RUDOLPHO: Oh here and there.

KARINA: Life's been dull without you.

RUDOLPHO: You call this dull?

KARINA: Nothing like the old times huh Papa Bear?

RUDOLPHO: Look Karina we got to talk.

KARINA: You know the rules, first we drink.

RUDOLPHO: Karina we have to talk.

KARINA: What Papa Bear doesn't want to play with Goldilocks?

RUDOLPHO: Karina.

KARINA: What?

Who's been sleeping in my bed?

RUDOLPHO: Yeah, go on just one.

[Crowd Chanting "Drink"]

CALLISTA: Inspector Tibbit.

TIBBIT: Executive Chief Inspector Tibbit.

CALLISTA: Senior officers Travis Montana,

Callie Larkadia.

TIBBIT: Larkadia, one of the Mars Larkadia's?

CALLISTA: Yes that's right.

TIBBIT: You must be very proud.

I can see this is gonna be a much more

detailed inspection than I thought,

but I expect everything will be regulation,

ship shape, and 1000% tickety boo.

Isn't that right?

[Crowd Chanting "Drink"]

BARTENDER: Another all time record!

KARINA: Yes!

[Crowd Cheering] [Drum Roll Playing]

MARCUS: Now that was truly impressive.

RUDOLPHO: You are living dangerously today Marcus.

KARINA: Rudy, who's this?

Are you a friend of Papa Bear's?

MARCUS: Papa Bear's?

Oh yeah, I'm a very good friend of Papa Bear's.

Papa Bear and I work together.

Don't we Papa Bear?

RUDOLPHO: Don't push your luck.

KARINA: Well for goodness sake's,

what's your name?

MARUCS: Marcus.

KARINA: Drink up Marcus.

So tell me is Papa Bear still the lovable old curmudgeon?

MARCUS: Oh well, I don't know about lovable.

KARINA: Then you don't know the Papa Bear that I know.

So he's never told you about all our good times?

MARCUS: He never said a word.

KARINA: That we met in jail?

RUDOLPHO: Karina.

MARCUS: He never mentioned jail.

RUDOLPHO: Yeah, I was innocent.

KARINA: You have never been innocent of anything Papa Bear.

[Dramatic Music]

TRAVIS: Well I suggest we get down

to the antimatter control room

and begin the inspection there.

No sense in wasting our time up here.

TIBBIT: I'll be the judge of that.

You are aware of the hazards of running an antimatter drive?

TRAVIS: Of course.

TIBBIT: You've sourced it of course from a licensed dealer?

CALLISTA: Well, is there any other way?

TIBBIT: I'm always amazed by how many people

take their life in their hands by trying some ridiculous

fantasy concoction in their drives.

TRAVIS: Yes, it is shocking.

TIBBIT: AIG, another idiot gone,

as we so amusingly say in the Jupiter Federation.

CALLISTA: How long will this inspection take,

Chief Inspector Tibbit?

TIBBIT: Executive Chief Inspector.

CALLISTA: Executive Chief Inspector Tibbit.

TRAVIS: Take forever just to answer his name.

TIBBIT: I'm sorry I missed that?

TRAVIS: I was just saying I imagine it'll take

as long as the Executive Chief Inspector needs.

TIBBIT: Spot on, I'm glad to see you're

coming to grips with the situation.

TRAVIS: I'd like to come to grips with his neck.

[Callista Shushing]

[Dramatic Music]

MARCUS: There you go Papa Bear, that's for your head.

RUDOLPHO: Marcus, I don't often threaten violence or murder.

But you can count on both if that name

ever reaches the ears of Travis and Callie.

Am I clear?

MARCUS: Clear.

RUDOLPHO: Oh, Karina why'd you get me into such trouble?

MARCUS: Oh yeah, and you're so helpless.

RUDOLPHO: I am when it comes to her, it's those eyes.

I look into them and everything just melts away.

Next thing I know it's three weeks later

and I've got another tattoo.

MARCUS: So, how serious were you two?

RUDOLPHO: Two years, she lied, cheated, and stole from me.

It's the best relationship I ever had.

Lots of shouting and gunfire.

It was a high voltage experience.

Some women you regret leaving,

but if you stay it'll kill you, literally.

MARCUS: So that's why you left, self preservation?

It's admirable.

RUDOLPHO: Nah, my second wife found out.

Oh god give us another one then.

MARCUS: So how did you know Karina

was gonna lead us to Beckers?

RUDOLPHO: 'Cause not much goes on that Karina

doesn't know about.

MARCUS: She's the one for the team so to speak.

RUDOLPHO: Well at least we got the lead didn't we?

Come on, let's go.

CALLISTA: Inspector, Executive Chief Inspector Tibbit

the antimatter module control room is this way.

TIBBIT: I know.

Right, I'd like to check in here first.

TRAVIS: You sure you don't want to check

the antimatter control room, it's right this way.

TIBBIT: Don't worry we'll get there.

TRAVIS: Yes, but thing is we're only applying for a fuel permit.

What relevance--

TIBBIT: Under code 91B slash one section four,

I'm requested to make a full inspection

if I believe there's been other code violations.

I'm sure we can sort this matter out in a few days.

CALLISTA: A few days?

TIBBIT: A few days, is this a problem?

TRAVIS: Oh no, no, no, no problem.

[Dramatic Music]

MARCUS: Are you sure it's down here?

RUDOLPHO: You're the one who wrote it on the napkin.

MARCUS: Don't be a Papa Bear with a sore head.

RUDOLPHO: Yeah you just keep that up,

here.

MARCUS: This is it, nice.

RUDOLPHO: What do you want, red carpet and a band?

[Door Bangs Open]

RUDOLPHO: Ooh butch.

TIBBIT: You've reversed your magnetic influx resonator, why?

TRAVIS: We thought it would give us more juice.

TIBBIT: Juice?

CALLISTA: What Captain Montana means is that it allows us

to increase our weight to thrust ratio.

TIBBIT: The weight to thrust ratio is governed

by the torque of the module unless

you've altered the rules of physics.

TRAVIS: No of course not, but we felt--

TIBBIT: Felt?

Modifications require facts not feelings.

This whole thing has to be redone

to bring it in line with regulations.

I can see your a man that thinks

that rules apply to other people.

TRAVIS: I find most people who apply rules--

CALLISTA: Um, why don't we take a look at

the antimatter control room now?

TIBBIT: Certainly.

CALLISTA: Why don't you let me handle this alone?

Before you get us locked up.

TRAVIS: Oh, and how do you intend to handle it?

CALLISTA: Well a little feminine charm goes a long way.

With most men.

[Suspenseful Music]

MARCUS: Here.

You know what that says?

This is a very dangerous place

where you're gonna get shot by some bad guys.

But what else did you expect from Rudolpho?

RUDOLPHO: Really?

I thought it said if Marcus doesn't shut it

it'll be Rudolpho that shoots him.

[Bang] [Suspenseful Music]

CALLISTA: So, what do you think then?

TIBBIT: Do you not desire something

better for yourself Ms. Larkadia?

CALLISTA: I'm sorry I don't follow.

TIBBIT: This ship, it's vulgar.

CALLISTA: Vulgar, well it may not have

the modern facilities, but it's got character.

TIBBIT: I've seen the worst, but nothing like this.

Being a Larkadia you must be used to so much better.

Do you not sometimes yearn for the comfort of silk?

Something more refined in keeping

with your breeding and your needs?

[Suspenseful Music]

TRAVIS: Car, I want you to run check for me.

CALLISTA: Well I have found that often times the more refined

something is, the less honest it turns out to be.

TIBBIT: Honest, a ship full of bounty hunters.

Only one step up from space trash and raiders.

A woman like yourself who's used to the finer things in life,

the comforts that only a maturer vessel can offer.

CALLISTA: Comfort can be overrated.

TIBBIT: I find squalor to be over glamorized.

CALLISTA: Don't knock it until you've tried it.

I'm quite happy roughing it.

TIBBIT: Sometimes you need someone else

to save us from ourselves.

[Atmospheric Ambience]

[Suspenseful Music]

[Groaning]

MARCUS: Okay, get up slowly.

[Groaning]

MARCUS: Oye!

[Loud Thump]

[Suspenseful Music]

RUDOLPHO: Marcus, Marcus.

[Gun Firing]

TIBBIT: I need to make a preliminary report.

I trust privacy mode had been initiated.

CALLISTA: Of course.

TIBBIT: That'll be all then.

CALLISTA: Well, I trust we're in good hands

so I'll leave you to it then.

[Door Opens and Closes]

MAN: Tibbit, what the hell do you want?

TIBBIT: I've got a hot one for you here.

MAN: Yeah, save it for someone else I'm not interested.

TIBBIT: Grade one antimatter drive.

MAN: So maybe I am a little interested.

TIBBIT: Thought you would be, I'm offering it to you first.

MAN: Well 500,000 that's my best offer.

TIBBIT: You know I can get more than

20 times that in the open market.

MAN: Well, go knock yourself out.

TIBBIT: Seven million.

MAN: You know drive better be working.

Not like the last hunk of junk you floated me.

TIBBIT: That's wasn't my fault.

MAN: Save it Tibbit, just see I get it tomorrow

'cause it's already sold and the people

don't like to be kept waiting.

[Dramatic Music]

MARCUS: You okay, Rudolpho?

RUDOLPHO: The hangover was better.

Jay Beckers I presume?

JAY: You presume wrong.

RUDOLPHO: Oh my mistake.

JAY: Not your first,

let's hope it's your last.

You wouldn't be federal marshals by any chance.

RUDOLPHO: Didn't Karina vouch for us?

JAY: Karina, that little cookie?

Said she hasn't seen you in years.

Then out of the blue you show up

asking all sorts of questions.

MARCUS: Do we look like federal marshals?

JAY: Most federal marshals try hard not to look like marshals.

MARCUS: We need some duranium 237.

RUDOLPHO: Marcus leave this to me.

MARCUS: Oh, well as you've done such a good job so far.

RUDOLPHO: We are not federal marshals,

and we need some duranium.

JAY: I deal in licensed material.

What makes you think I would touch anything like that?

RUDOLPHO: Your reputation proceeds you.

JAY: Such pretty pretty bone structure.

Tell me have you been modified or are you natural?

MARCUS: I'm natural.

JAY: How novel,

I am not.

RUDOLPHO: Have you got any or not?

JAY: There might be a way, but I doubt

it will cost less than two million credits.

RUDOLPHO: I can't afford that.

JAY: Such a shame.

RUDOLPHO: How about if we made you a partner?

With your negative energy working

in our antimatter drive our stocks will go way up.

MARCUS: Are you crazy, we don't need another partner.

JAY: 70 percent of something is worth more

than 100 percent of nothing.

RUDOLPHO: 70, now don't make me laugh, 30 percent.

And to sweeten the deal, I'll chuck in pretty boy in.

JAY: 40 percent, and the little boy.

[Suspenseful Music]

JAY: And we'll make it a deal.

MARCUS: What, you can't be serious Rudolpho.

RUDOLPHO: Don't take this the wrong way Marcus.

MARCUS: Then which way am I supposed to take it?

[Dramatic Music]

TRAVIS: Well, when do we get our permit?

TIBBIT: Under section four, paragraph 12

of the Space Safety Act I'm hereby impounding your ship.

CALLISTA: Impounding the ship?

TRAVIS: Car, can he go that?

CARAVAGGIO: I'm afraid under the regulations he can.

CALLISTA: We can't just pay a fine?

TIBBIT: No, your ship is being condemned

as unfit and will be destroyed.

TRAVIS: What?

TIBBIT: You may appeal.

CALLISTA: And how long would that take?

TIBBIT: Six months for a review.

TRAVIS: You're impounding our ship for six months?

TIBBIT: Certainly not, it's our policy to destroy

all condemned ships within two weeks.

TRAVIS: No, no, no.

TIBBIT: Now I must ask you and the rest

of the crew to vacate the ship.

I've summoned some helpful gentlemen to assist you.

JAY: I think you'll find everything's in order.

RUDOLPHO: Field grade, excellent, just what we needed.

I see it's got hell stone properties.

JAY: It got it from the hell stone asteroid before

it was destroyed, if I ever find the fools that did that.

RUDOLPHO: A pleasure doing business with you.

JAY: The pleasure will be all mine.

RUDOLPHO: It's been nice knowing you Marcus.

I'm sure she'll treat you gently,

the way a black widow spider treats her mate.

MARCUS: I can't believe this.

I thought we was supposed to be mates.

RUDOLPHO: Don't take it personally Marcus.

MARCUS: You'll all blow to pieces without me.

You double dealing back stabbing,

Travis will kill you for this.

[Laughing]

[Yelling] MARCUS: Help, help!

JAY: Come on, come on.

TRAVIS: My ship may be a little rough here and there

but she's more than space worthy.

You seem a little over eager to have her.

TIBBIT: Just doing my job.

TRAVIS: Really, then would you mind telling me

why our permits aren't in the Jupiter Fed database?

CALLISTA: Car?

CARAVAGGIO: It would appear that your permit

is not in the system.

Your permit has never been filed.

Jupiter Federation have no record of an inspection request.

TRAVIS: So what's this about Tibbit?

TIBBIT: It's all rather academic now isn't it?

Take them away.

SOLDIER: Come on let's move.

[Punches Landing]

TIBBIT: This is Tibbit, send in the backup.

CARAVAGGIO: More Federation troopers have boarded the ship.

[Over Speaker] TIBBIT: You really will make it

much easier on yourself if you surrender peacefully.

[Dramatic Music]

JAY: You'll like being modified.

We'll start out with a few amplifications.

MARCUS: Amplifications?

what the hell does that mean?

JAY: We will make certain of your parts bigger.

Not to worry my little friend.

It's that kind of modification most young men

appreciate having,

as do their women.

MARCUS: You're crazy if you think

I'll let you do anything to me.

JAY: They all say that at first.

But with a few strokes of the laser

we will make you more willing.

[Crashing]

[Gun Firing] [Groaning]

RUDOLPHO: Give me your feet.

This is the last time you call me Papa Bear okay.

MARCUS: Yeah, okay Papa Bear.

RUDOLPHO: Let's go, let's hope that duranium's worth it.

Now come on.

[Suspenseful Music]

TIBBIT: Fire! [Guns Firing]

TRAVIS: Take cover.

[Guns Firing]

RUDOLPHO: I will never forget the look on your face

when when she started talking about amplifying your--

Holy-- MARCUS: Car,

shut the airlock doors!

CARAVAGGIO: The airlock doors are not responding.

TRAVIS: Like you two to show up.

RUDOLPHO: Marcus fell in love!

TRAVIS: Again?

MARCUS: Yeah it's only 'cause [Guns Firing]

Rudolpho stopped the gossip session.

Let me work out about these doors closing.

TRAVIS: Can you fix it?

MARCUS: Yeah, if I don't get killed first.

[Guns Firing]

TRAVIS: Cover him Rudy.

[Guns Firing]

MARCUS: Jesus.

TRAVIS: Keep them down I'm gonna head for

the bridge and get us out of here.

[Dramatic Music]

[Guns Firing]

TRAVIS: Car disengage from the docking bay

and get us out of here.

CARAVAGGIO: I'm afraid the airlock is not yet sealed.

TRAVIS: Marcus how's it going down there?

MARCUS: Yeah, well I've had better working conditions.

[Dramatic Music]

[Guns Firing]

CALLISTA: Rudy, cover me.

TRAVIS: Marcus, we're running out of time.

MARCUS: Yeah, there's a million wires down here.

[Guns Firing]

MARCUS: Okay Travis the doors are sealed, go!

TRAVIS: Car, disengage moorings.

[Engines Rumbling]

RUDOLPHO: Marcus,

watch the duranium.

[Gun Firing]

CARAVAGGIO: We are being hailed.

TRAVIS: Take a message.

[Explosion]

TRAVIS: Who the hell's firing at us?

CARAVAGGIO: An Orchard vessel is off the starboard bow.

TRAVIS: Orch?

Car, open a channel.

Orchard ship, what the hell do you want?

ORCHARD: Your ship is Orchard property.

TRAVIS: Really well I tell you what.

I'll let you have some of this instead.

[Lasers Blasting]

TRAVIS: Callie looks like we got an Orchard ship on our tail.

CALLISTA: Orchard, what are they doing here?

TRAVIS: Think you better ask Tibbit.

CALLISTA: I wish I could.

MARCUS: Yeah, well we've got the duranium now

we should use the antimatter drive.

TRAVIS: Well if your serious Marcus do it.

MARCUS: I'm gonna need some cover

to get to the control room.

CALLISTA: Okay, wait for my signal then run like hell.

[Gun Firing]

MARCUS: I'm starting to think this might not be the best idea.

TRAVIS: Marcus do it.

MARCUS: Yeah, okay, okay, okay.

RUDOLPHO: Callie! [Gun Firing]

[Suspenseful Music]

CALLISTA: Marcus, go!

[Electricity Humming]

TRAVIS: Callie, how are you doing?

[Over Speaker] CALLISTA: Okay.

TRAVIS: Car, how many left?

CARAVAGGIO: Just Tibbit.

TRAVIS: Location?

CARAVAGGIO: On his way to the antimatter control room.

TRAVIS: Marcus you hear that?

MARCUS: Yeah well,

gonna need some help down here if we're gonna get away.

[Laser Cannons Firing]

TRAVIS: Car, keep firing, Marcus I'm on my way.

MARCUS: Okay I'm gonna be ready to test in about three minutes.

TRAVIS [O.C]: Marcus we're running out of time.

MARCUS: If I rush and get it wrong we'll be

the biggest firework in history.

Okay, initiating startup sequence.

[Suspenseful Music]

[Laser Cannons Firing] [Missiles Exploding]

[Suspenseful Music]

TIBBIT: Shut down the drive.

I will kill you.

MARCUS: You fire that weapon in here we'll all go boom.

TIBBIT: Nonsense.

MARCUS: That's duranium down there,

it's producing enough negative energy

to blow up half the solar system.

TIBBIT: This is your last chance to shut it down.

TRAVIS: I wouldn't do that if I were you Tibbit.

[Thump]

CARVAGGIO: I'm afraid we can't take any more hits.

TRAVIS: Now, Marcus.

MARCUS: Okay.

[Engines Rumbling]

[Whooshing]

TRAVIS: Are we still in one piece, Car?

CARAVAGGIO: We haven't lost structural integrity

if that's what you asking.

CALLISTA: Where are we?

CARAVAGGIO: 346,458 kilometers past Neptune.

[Laughing] MARCUS: It worked.

RUDOLPHO: Well done, lad.

MARCUS: No, no, no, no, hold on a second.

These readings are saying that

we didn't make it to sub light speed.

I don't know why I mean theoretically we...

TRAVIS: Theoretically, what?

MARCUS: In theory we should have made light speed

and made the jump into hyperspace

but we didn't, I don't know why.

There must be a piece missing from the puzzle.

TRAVIS: Car, bring us around, let's get back.

CARAVAGGIO: Velocity?

TRAVIS: I don't think we should push our luck.

The normal speed, Car.

Give Mr. Tibbit some time to inspect the brig.

[Suspenseful Music]

[Engines Rumbling]

CARAVAGGIO: I thought you might like to know

that Jupiter Fed is offering a 100,000 credit

bounty for Tibbit's return.

RUDOLPHO: See, what did I tell you?

Business picks up as soon as we

get the antimatter drive running.

CALLISTA: Yeah, you know, this bounty

should keep us in the bare necessities.

TRAVIS: Oh, barely.

Rudolpho why don't you make up a list

of the bear essentials we need.

RUDOLPHO: I'll kill him, Marcus!

TRAVIS: Moves quick for a Papa Bear.

CALLISTA: Well?

TRAVIS: Well what?

CALLISTA: You obviously had something you

wanted to share with me earlier.

TRAVIS: I did?

CALLISTA: You know damn well you did Travis,

don't play games with me.

TRAVIS: Look it doesn't matter now just forget it.

What do you want me to say?

CALLISTA: You never say anything,

that's the problem.

[Contemplative Music]

[Engines Rumbling]

VIDAL: Mr. Montana.

ANNOUNCER: On the next Starhunter.

VIDAL: I'm afraid your in breach of Martian law.

Which means you're no longer authorized

to ply your trade as bounty hunters,

nor are you authorized to carry weapons.

See you in court.

SKAYLON: You must appear to be fair.

VIDAL: I appointed Jensen.

SKAYLON: Respectable, not too bright.

VIDAL: Exactly.

SKAYLON: Senator Randal, to what do we owe this honor?

RANDAL: I understand you're holding a tribunal

for a group of bounty hunters.

SKAYLON: Indeed.

RANDAL: Then I hereby give formal notice

of my intention to represent them.

TRAVIS: Well we truly appreciate you coming to our aid Senator.

RANDAL: If you lose, you almost certainly lose this ship.
