[Intercom] WOMAN: Dr. Nokes,
scanning sector C,
Dr. Nokes, scanning Sector C.
WHYNDHAM: Sir.
They're about to begin the countdown.
DR. SCHOFIELD: This is an historic moment.
A shame that history will never record it.
INTERCOM: T minus, fifteen.
Fourteen.
Thirteen.
Twelve.
Eleven.
Ten.
Nine.
Eight.
Seven.
Six.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
[Explosion]
INTERCOM: Detonation complete and on schedule.
WHYNDHAM: Congratulations sir.
INTERCOM: Long range data scanning
locked for analysis.
[Opening Theme Music]
[Thunderous Boom]
PERCY: Car, what was that?
CARAVAGGIO: Unknown.
Analyzing.
[Spaceship Humming]
MARCUS: Well, that's weird.
It's like there's nothing wrong with the engines.
They just have half the power we had yesterday.
I'll go and have a look.
PERCY: Right behind you.
CALLISTA: Any idea how to fix it?
I'm gonna go run a diagnostic on weapons and navigation.
TRAVIS: Car, what can you tell me about that little
space quake?
CARAVAGGIO: An electromagnetic surge of some kind.
TRAVIS: Well do we know the cause?
CARAVAGGIO: No.
I'm monitoring interplanetary comm traffic.
The effect appears to be widespread,
though much less pronounced in the inner quadrant.
TRAVIS: What about long range scans?
CARAVAGGIO: Inconclusive.
But they indicate a distant origin beyond our solar system.
RUDOLPHO: Must been one hell of a whatever it was.
Go easy with that.
Can't make it as fast as Percy can spill it.
CALLISTA: Navigation systems weren't affected.
We're on course for Caris station.
TRAVIS: Car, what's our ETA?
CARAVAGGIO: One hour and 47 minutes.
CALLISTA: Weapons check out too.
TRAVIS: Well at least we can shoot
if we get chased by something we can't outrun.
Like a domestic cat.
RUDOLPHO: Well, I guess time to do the background
on our employer.
CARAVAGGIO: Rudolpho, I would be happy
to perform that search for you.
RUDOLPHO: Ah, thanks all the same Car but,
there is still somethings us pathetic humans are capable of.
[Loud Whirring]
PERCY: Marcus the power drains leveled off at 50%.
MARCUS: Has it?
PERCY: Yeah.
What did you just do?
MARCUS: Nothing.
Just running a diagnostic.
All the reactors are normal except
where the hell did the power go?
TRAVIS: Marcus, you and Percy have the engines up
by the end of the day, right?
MARCUS: Uh, yeah.
Yeah of course.
TRAVIS: Are you sure about that? PERCY: Yes.
TRAVIS: Well, go ahead,
you're the expert now.
RUDOLPHO: Yeah, we don't even need Car anymore.
TRAVIS: I think he's going to be jealous.
RUDOLPHO: Now when you two have quite finished,
a Caris group.
Wealthy charitable organization
doing research into disease and genetics.
All the good stuff.
TRAVIS: Funded by one of the federations?
RUDOLPHO: You'd think so wouldn't you.
They're registered with Mars and Jupiter,
but nothing about where the money comes from.
CALLISTA: Nothing at all?
Are they legit?
RUDOLPHO: To hear them say it, yeah.
They got some of the finest minds since creation
working there.
Award winning projects
credited with discoveries that
benefit the health of human kind
and promote the search for universal peace.
TRAVIS: Must keep them busy.
CALLISTA: What do they want with us?
TRAVIS: Be rude not to find out.
RUDOLPHO: Absolutely.
Almost a shame to take their money.
TRAVIS: Almost.
PERCY: You know we haven't tried looping
the antimatter storage though the main drivers yet.
MARCUS: Not the most elegant solution is it.
Not to mention dangerous.
PERCY: Yeah, but if it works, who cares.
MARCUS: Well I care.
Elegance equals efficiency.
The simplest solution
that's compatible with the facts, yeah.
PERCY: Yeah.
What are the facts?
[Whooshing]
WHYNDHAM [O.C]: I do apologize Mr. Montana,
but we have very strict security protocols these days.
Somebody should have told you
that we do not allow weapons or transmitters here.
TRAVIS: It's not a problem.
WHYNDHAM: Rest assured, they'll be safe onboard your shuttle.
You'll understand in a moment.
I should let Dr. Schofield fill you in on the details.
Please.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Mr. Montana.
TRAVIS: How do you do?
DR. SCHOFIELD: Ms. Larkadia.
I'm Dr. Schofield, head of research.
Yes, do sit down.
I am told your team
gets results.
TRAVIS: We do our best.
CALLISTA: Dr. Schofield, we still don't know why we're here.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Forgive our secretiveness to date.
This is a matter of some delicacy.
INTERCOM: Accessing security lock.
Personnel file eight three seven.
DR. SCHOFIELD: You know him?
TRAVIS: I recognize him.
Quennell, Alrick Quennell.
He's the ranking member of the Fetter Clan.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Oh my.
The man is a raider.
TRAVIS: And your interest is?
DR. SCHOFIELD: Mr. Quennell was briefly here as an employee.
He came to us as a security consultant.
His credentials were impressive.
A complete fiction, I now realize.
WHYNDHAM: We're scientists here Mr. Montana.
We did a back check, but it seemed fine.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Point is, we need Quennell back.
WHYNDHAM: We've discovered that he had access
to some extremely sensitive areas of our work.
We are developing an antidote to the Tethis virus.
It's new, quite lethal.
Takes it name from the Tethis terraforming community,
which the virus all but wiped out.
Mr. Quennell stole a sample of the virus.
It was in a specially designed container.
A small box.
If he were to sell the sample on the black market,
or unleash it, God forbid,
well, you can appreciate our concern.
CALLISTA: So have you notified the federations?
DR. SCHOFIELD: Of course that is what we may be forced to do.
CALLISTA: So, no.
DR. SCHOFIELD: An alert could cause unnecessary alarm.
A scandal would almost certainly result in our closure.
We do good work here.
And your help may allow us to continue.
If you were to undertake this, even for a few days,
we would be very grateful.
TRAVIS: A hundred thousand credits
on delivery.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Fine.
[Atmospheric Music]
[Whooshing]
WHYNDHAM: There were power disruptions, as expected,
following the detonation.
Irritation to the federations,
but nothing that can be traced back to us.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Except for that box.
To think our survival is in the hands
of bounty hunters.
WHYNDHAM: A hundred thousand credits.
DR. SCHOFIELD: For your life and mine,
and all the good we've done.
WHYNDHAM: So unsavory.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Perhaps you'd prefer that the orchard
discovered our mistake.
You do realize what they'd do to us, don't you.
RUDOLPHO: What do you reckon?
TRAVIS: What's you got?
RUDOLPHO: Popped up on a retinal scan.
TRAVIS: Well that's Quennell.
RUDOLPHO: Boarded a passenger shuttle
on Gallanay bound for Clarke Station.
TRAVIS: Could have already arranged a deal
on that virus sample.
RUDOLPHO: I'll check the flight plans.
TRAVIS: Better be quick then.
Percy where are we on those engines?
PERCY: Looking better, but not great.
We won't have full power for a while.
Maybe two days.
MARCUS: Whatever that surge was,
it drained the reactor's antimatter matrix.
No permanent damage done.
PERCY: We looped the antimatter storage through
to the main drivers.
TRAVIS: Isn't that dangerous?
MARCUS: Yeah, it was Percy's idea.
PERCY: Worked didn't it.
MARCUS: If three quarter power's your idea
of unqualified success.
TRAVIS: Okay, fine.
Just beep at it.
PERCY: Didn't work.
RUDOLPHO: Here we go, here we go.
Fetter Clan ship drew at the Clarke Station this evening.
TRAVIS: You fit?
RUDOLPHO: No, but I could use the exercise.
[Spaceship Humming]
RUDOLPHO: So, seen anyone that fits that description?
BARTENDER: The men's washroom.
Do me a favor.
TRAVIS: What?
BARTENDER: Try not to break anything this time.
TRAVIS: Us? RUDOLPHO: Break things?
TRAVIS: Never.
[Lounge Music]
RUDOLPHO: Okay bub, got ten seconds to clean up,
or come out with your pants down.
[Tense Music]
ALRICK: Who are you?
RUDOLPHO: I'm your worst nightmare mate.
I'm a big man in the toilet with a gun.
TRAVIS: Guess he didn't like being rushed.
RUDOLPHO: Nah.
TRAVIS: Come on mate.
RUDOLPHO: Sorry to put you off pal.
MAN: Trans-Utopian,
you are cleared to depart.
Borings away.
[Background Chatter]
[Lounge Music]
ALRICK: What do you think you're doing?
You're making a very serious mistake here.
Where are you taking me?
RUDOLPHO: For a little ride.
ALRICK: What kind of a ride?
RUDOLPHO: Just think of it as a pleasure cruise.
ALRICK: I haven't done anything.
TRAVIS: I that case you don't have anything to worry about,
do you.
ALRICK: You don't know what you're getting
mixed up with here.
You don't know who you're dealing with.
CALLISTA: Nothing.
There's nothing here.
TRAVIS: Car, you better put me through to Caris.
DR. SCHOFIELD: You've got him Mr. Montana.
Well done.
I knew you wouldn't let us down.
TRAVIS: Before you get carried away Dr. Schofield,
Quennell didn't have the box with him.
DR. SCHOFIELD: You're certain?
TRAVIS: Very.
DR. SCHOFIELD: I must ask you to make every effort
to find out where he's put it.
TRAVIS: Well we'll do what we can.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Please keep me informed.
TRAVIS: Right, I think we better have a little chat
with Mr. Quennell.
RUDOLPHO: See if he wants to pour his heart out.
CARAVAGGIO: I am detecting a transmission in the Brig.
I thought you scanned him.
RUDOLPHO: I did.
TRAVIS: Car, can you stop the transmission?
CARAVAGGIO: It may take a few moments.
WHYNDHAM: Shall I contact the Orchard ship?
DR. SCHOFIELD: What?
WHYNDHAM: Postpone it's arrival. DR. SCHOFIELD: No.
WHYNDHAM: But if we don't have the box.
DR. SCHOFIELD: And we would tell them what?
We've had a slight hiccup?
Our entire enterprise is founded.
As loathsome as it may be,
we rely on the bounty hunters to save us.
We've no choice.
ALRICK: What do you want?
CALLISTA: Where is it? ALRICK: Where's what?
RUDOLPHO: I'd give it up Quennell.
ALRICK: I don't know what you're talking,
I don't know what you're talking about.
MAN: This way, come on, he's down this way.
Let's move.
CALLISTA: Who were you trying to contact?
ALRICK: No one.
CALLISTA: How bad do you want me to hurt you?
ALRICK: I'm not gonna tell you a damn thing.
Do what you have to.
MAN: He's not here, check the docking bay.
CARAVAGGIO: Quite remarkable.
Highly advanced.
It seems to constantly emit a series of refracted waves
through a phased matrix.
TRAVIS: Do we know where the signals were sent?
CARAVAGGIO: Oh certainly.
Clarke Station.
TRAVIS: How soon can you get us there?
MARCUS: The engines are still not up to full power.
CARAVAGGIO: I am reading two ships approaching.
[Tense Music]
TRAVIS: Let's have a look.
CARAVAGGIO: The small ship is a shuttle.
The larger vessel is very well armed.
Almost certainly raider in origin.
TRAVIS: Fetter Clan.
We may have just discovered
who was on the receiving end of Quennell's transmission.
Car, hail the raider ship.
Percy prepare the weapons okay.
CARAVAGGIO: The Fetter Ship is not responding.
TRAVIS: Keep trying.
[Whooshing]
TRAVIS: Stand by to fire.
[Laser Blasts]
PERCY: I guess they're not on the same side.
TRAVIS: Guess not.
Car, all of them, I want to know
why that raider ship is more interested
in that shuttle than our prisoner.
And Percy, keep the weapons online, okay.
PERCY: The weapons are online.
TRAVIS: Well, keep them there.
PERCY: You're being a little extra bossy today,
don't you think.
TRAVIS: Call it self preservation.
No, I'm not.
PERCY: Bring the weapons online,
keep the weapons online.
How long is it gonna take it to get there?
TRAVIS: That was a legitimate question.
MARCUS: Uh, Montana.
Fetter Clan, danger.
Must follow now.
TRAVIS: Right.
[Humming]
PERCY: I got him.
MARCUS: Wow.
[Spaceship Engine]
TRAVIS: Car, get us in the middle of it.
CARAVAGGIO: Acknowledged.
The engines are sluggish.
But I will try.
[Whooshing]
MARCUS: Well, he's got talent,
I'll give him that. TRAVIS: Yeah.
PERCY: We're not gonna get there in time.
CARAVAGGIO: I'm afraid Percy is correct.
TRAVIS: Percy, target the raider ship.
And load shop torpedo.
[Explosion]
MARCUS: No, one more hit like that
and he's dead.
TRAVIS: If they wanted him dead, he'd be dead.
Fire torpedo.
CREWMAN: Trans-Utopian,
back off.
TRAVIS: Identify yourself.
CREWMAN: Stand down, she's ours.
TRAVIS: That doesn't look like she's going anywhere.
CREWMAN: You've got three seconds
before we open fire.
[Spaceship Engine]
[Explosion]
CREWMAN: This isn't over.
TRAVIS: Is that so?
Well that ought to hold him.
Marcus now would be a good time to get
to those engines.
MARCUS: Come on, all the action's up here.
TRAVIS: Someone's got to do it.
Alright.
Let's get the beetles out of that shuttle.
Bring it aboard,
and let's get underway before they come back.
[Whirring]
PERCY: The beetles are away, bossy.
TRAVIS: I was not.
PERCY: Yeah you were a little bit.
TRAVIS: Define bossy.
PERCY: See there.
Again.
Bossy.
[Spaceship Engine]
KINGSMAN: Look, I'm sorry about that.
But I am so grateful to you guys.
Without you coming along, I was dead.
Seriously, those maniacs were gonna kill me.
By the way, the name's Kingsman.
It's nice to meet all of you.
TRAVIS: Pleasure, I'm sure.
KINGSMAN: So, I just wanted to say thanks.
Thanks.
And well thanks.
As soon as I get her fixed up,
I'll be on my way.
So, you're bounty hunters, right.
PERCY: What do you do?
KINGSMAN: Me, I'm a student.
I think they got the wrong guy.
CALLISTA: Well, you were just minding your own business
when the Fetter Clan just decided to come after you.
KINGSMAN: The Fetters?
No, you're kidding right.
What do the Fetters want with me?
TRAVIS: Well maybe you've got something they want.
KINGSMAN: You see that thing that I'm flying.
That's just a shuttle.
There's thousands like that.
Maybe they thought I was somebody else.
RUDOLPHO: He filsht it.
KINGSMAN: Filsht?
What does that mean?
Is that even a word?
RUDOLPHO: The shuttle.
You stole it.
TRAVIS: Better if you come clean.
KINGSMAN: Okay, I borrowed it.
But I was gonna bring it back.
RUDOLPHO: Voila.
CALLISTA: So we risked our lives for a petty thief.
TRAVIS: So what's in the box?
KINGSMAN: What box?
Oh, this box.
Just some of my personal stuff.
You know, a tooth brush, some hair.
TRAVIS: You want to open it?
KINGSMAN: You know, I lost the key.
RUDOLPHO: You stole the box too.
TRAVIS: Listen you gonna tell me what's in the box
or am I gonna let the raiders have you back.
KINGSMAN: No, no, no, don't do that.
I'll tell you okay.
It's just,
it's just embarrassing, right.
Um, okay, some guy in the toilet
at the Gateway Lounge, somebody was after him.
So he pushed it under the door.
They were shooting
and now they were bad guys, alright.
They shot some guy right in front of me
and dragged him away.
That is all that I know.
That's the truth.
TRAVIS: Put him in the brig. KINGSMAN: Oh no, man.
Listen, this thing's worth a lot of money.
I'll split it with you 50-50.
TRAVIS: Callie.
KINGSMAN: Alright, 60, 40.
Come on, people are fighting over this thing.
Somebody got shot for it.
RUDOLPHO: Was Marcus as bad as that?
TRAVIS: Worse.
But he could lie better.
PERCY: Listen, I gotta say,
I'm not thrilled about this plague being
on this ship.
TRAVIS: Neither are we.
Car, scan the box.
CARAVAGGIO: It's casing is inert,
and make up of an extremely strong outer material.
Although I can't be certain without a proper investigation,
it would appear to be safe.
TRAVIS: So, I guess we go to Caris, yes?
RUDOLPHO: True, we haven't got the whole story, but,
a hundred grand answers a lot of tricky questions.
TRAVIS: Okay.
Dr. Schofield.
I think we've sorted out the problem with the box.
DR. SCHOFIELD: You found it?
TRAVIS: Yes, we should be with you this time tomorrow.
DR. SCHOFIELD: That's excellent news, Mr. Montana.
I look forward to seeing you.
[Spaceship Humming]
MARCUS: Hello.
Car, tap into the output grid logs.
I'm in G9, sector five.
Magnetic iron stabilizers.
Can you tell me what I'm looking at?
CARAVAGGIO: Tracking now.
One moment.
The image on your screen appears to be a residual form
of negative energy.
MARCUS: Negative energy?
From what?
CARAVAGGIO: The most likely source is
the electromagnetic surge.
It is possible that the negative energy
was somehow embedded in it,
but would have gone undetected.
MARCUS: But negative energies are a theoretical concept
isn't it?
CARAVAGGIO: Competing theories exist.
They all agree however,
that negative energy might be a breakthrough power source,
capable of solving the barriers to light speed.
TRAVIS: So, Kingsman on the level?
CALLISTA: Yeah, he's not a bad kid.
He's just way out of his depth on this one, that's all.
RUDOLPHO: I don't see any point keeping him locked up
in the brig.
TRAVIS: Really?
CALLISTA: Oh come on, you were young and stupid once.
RUDOLPHO: Oh, that is to say weren't we all.
CALLISTA: Yeah, that's what I meant.
TRAVIS: Okay, so tell Marcus to release Kingsman
and keep an eye on him.
Someone his own age.
Oh, we were just talking about you.
MARCUS: Oh, that's nice.
There's something you should see.
Car, this is what's drained the engines.
Negative energy from that surge.
RUDOLPHO: That's impossible.
It has to be some kind of natural phenomenon.
CALLISTA: I sure as hell hope so.
CARAVAGGIO: I'm picking up another
of those fractured signals.
TRAVIS: Where? CARAVAGGIO: Here on the bridge.
It appears to be coming from the box.
PERCY: Not good, Car.
CARAVAGGIO: I'm sorry.
It's seems to be undetectable until it's detectable.
That is until it transmits or receives.
CALLISTA: Okay, and which was it doing?
CARAVAGGIO: I can't say yet.
PERCY: Great, we've got the black death on board,
and it's talking to someone.
TRAVIS: I think it's time I had that little chat
with Mr. Quennell.
TRAVIS: Comfortable?
Room okay?
ALRICK: I thought you were here to tell me
you'd come to your senses.
TRAVIS: I'm afraid raider bravado doesn't impress me.
ALRICK: No? TRAVIS: No.
Had a little encounter with your friends.
That Fetter ship you contacted.
They won't be bothering us again.
ALRICK: You win some,
you lose some.
You have no idea what you've got yourself
mixed up with here.
TRAVIS: Oh, I think I do.
ALRICK: Infiltrated carriers.
TRAVIS: You stole something very valuable.
You planned to take it back to your clan
and put it on the market,
or were you planning to wipe out the other clans?
ALRICK: You found the box.
Did you open it?
TRAVIS: Not keen on having a plague all over my ship, thanks.
ALRICK: Plague?
Is that what they told you?
You really don't know what's going on, do you?
TRAVIS: Why don't you enlighten me.
ALRICK: Eight of my men were in a bar one night.
There was this guy.
A scientist from Caris.
He was pretty drunk.
Started bragging about this secret experiment.
No details.
Just that it was big.
And that everything was going to change
overnight.
Two weeks later,
those men were dead.
Someone hunted them down.
See what I'm getting at.
TRAVIS: Scientists are moonlighting as assassins.
ALRICK: Someone with serious reach
is pouring money into that place.
So yes, I did infiltrate Caris,
and discovered they had this program
that was so secret,
only half a dozen people knew about it.
TRAVIS: And what was it?
ALRICK: I don't know.
But people died.
And the answer was in that box.
TRAVIS: So you're telling me,
you weren't gonna sell it.
ALRICK: The Fetter Clan looks after itself.
We're no angels.
But we're not mass murderers either.
I didn't know what I was gonna do with it.
I just knew I had to get it away from them.
You're the one that's going to deliver it to Schofield.
That is what you're about to do right.
[Tense Music]
PERCY: Hi.
RUDOLPHO: Something on your mind?
PERCY: I've got a bad feeling.
RUDOLPHO: Yeah.
Well, it could be them,
but it might not be.
PERCY: Can you think of anyone else?
RUDOLPHO: No, not offhand.
That's just me being paranoid though.
You?
PERCY: I think something's coming.
RUDOLPHO: You can't be sure.
PERCY: No.
Can't be sure.
RUDOLPHO: See you.
[Humming]
WHYNDHAM: We have the Trans-Utopian on our scanners.
They should be here soon.
DR. SCHOFIELD: And we'll make sure that once the ship is here,
it stays here.
WHYNDHAM: That's been arranged, sir.
[Spaceship Engine]
CALLISTA: Well if Quennell's telling the truth,
we really don't have a choice.
We can't give it back to Caris.
RUDOLPHO: And if he's lying?
We hand it over,
and hope nobody connects us
to this year's deadliest disease.
We'll be a laughing stock.
Not to mention losing the commission.
TRAVIS: Marcus?
MARCUS: Well he is a raider.
TRAVIS: I believed him.
There's only one way to find out.
Car, can we open the box safely?
CARAVAGGIO: I would need time to examine it properly.
But I'd be very happy to have a go.
I'm rather fond of puzzles.
TRAVIS: Go ahead.
Give us a call if you come up with something.
CARAVAGGIO: Now, let's see.
Oh, I say, how clever.
MARCUS: So, I don't suppose you've seen
anything quite like this.
KINGSMAN: Well, no.
I mean, not exactly,
like this.
MARCUS: Not exactly.
Do you even know what you're looking at here?
KINGSMAN: Yeah, I think so.
But it's a bit old fashioned isn't it.
Could use a few modifications.
MARCUS: Really?
KINGSMAN: Yeah, I mean,
I could double the power source on this thing, no problem.
I'm a bit of a closet reactor junky.
CARAVAGGIO: Beautiful.
Truly beautiful.
Remarkable.
TRAVIS: Flight data recorder?
CARAVAGGIO: In a way, yes.
RUDOLPHO: So.
We've got one of those.
CARAVAGGIO: Not quite like this.
The box was constructed to withstand forces
that are quite frankly, staggering.
CALLISTA: Come on Car, if you know something, let's hear it.
Do you have any data on the ship it came from?
CARAVAGGIO: The box did not come from a ship.
I believe it was on a planet in another solar system
in our galaxy.
TRAVIS: Another system?
CARAVAGGIO: The box was positioned
on the fourth planet orbiting the sun,
Pulsar 1342.
That planet by the way, no longer exists.
PERCY: What exactly did it record, Car?
CARAVAGGIO: Please place the chip in the holo player.
[Foreboding Music]
[Explosion]
CALLISTA: The Caris group deliberately destroyed a planet.
CARAVAGGIO: And the solar system it was in.
The fourth planet was key to the orbital stability
of the other planets.
They will crash into their sun in years to come.
TRAVIS: Do you know how it happened?
CARAVAGGIO: Given what we know.
An educated guess would be a controlled
negative energy explosion.
CALLISTA: You mean a weapon?
CARAVAGGIO: The energy source could be used
for scientific advancement, or as we have seen,
utter destruction.
TRAVIS: Why develop a weapon that can destroy a solar system.
I mean it, it would be useless here.
They'd destroy themselves, and everyone else.
Unless they don't intend to use that power here.
MARCUS: Light speed, hyperspace.
RUDOLPHO: A weapon like that, could control everything.
PERCY: Or nothing.
MARCUS: But we're talking about a disease and genetics
research facility, I mean,
how could they possibly afford the cost of the program?
TRAVIS: Fact is, we have the evidence
to destroy the Caris group in this box.
MARCUS: And you wonder why they want it back.
CALLISTA: A whole solar system.
There could have been life there.
We've got to nail these guys.
MARCUS: Callie's right.
CALLISTA: Travis?
CARAVAGGIO: I'm sorry to interrupt.
TRAVIS: What is it Car?
CARAVAGGIO: We appear to be locked into a docking procedure
with Caris.
TRAVIS: Well unlock us.
CARAVAGGIO: I'm afraid I can't.
They are operating a graviton beam,
which is drawing us in, whether we like it or not.
TRAVIS: No way we can pull out of it?
CARAVAGGIO: Negative, we would need full power.
TRAVIS: Well then.
Seems we don't have a choice.
[Tense Music]
DR. SCHOFIELD: Contact them.
Mr. Montana, I hope you don't mind
us giving you a helping hand.
TRAVIS: Of course not.
DR. SCHOFIELD: We are tightening security,
every way we can think of.
Regrettable, but nothing for you to worry about.
I remind you to leave your weapons
and transmitters in your shuttle.
TRAVIS: Well we'll see you soon then Mr. Schofield.
How am I?
CALLISTA: For all the good it will do us.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Whyndham, I want everything ready
for when our guests arrive.
[Tense Music]
[Magnetic Pull]
ALRICK: You've lost control of your ship haven't you.
RUDOLPHO: Yeah, it wouldn't be the first time.
You want me to go with you?
TRAVIS: No, I want you in charge here.
ALRICK: You think they're coming back?
CALLISTA: Put a sock in it.
MARCUS: Here it is.
TRAVIS: It's on our frequency now?
MARCUS: Yeah, you should be all set.
TRAVIS: Hey, I want maximum power
before we get back on board.
MARCUS: Sure.
TRAVIS: And I want to know as soon as we've got it.
ALRICK: You think they're gonna pay you
and then let you go?
Think again, Montana.
[Whooshing]
KINGSMAN: You don't know what you're doing do you?
MARCUS: I know exactly what I'm doing, thanks.
KINGSMAN: You want me to take a look at that thing.
I can probably fix it.
PERCY: No, thank you.
KINGSMAN: Suit yourself.
It's your funeral.
Or you guys gonna get sucked into this Caris place
like a pea through a plug hole.
And then you won't be able to get out,
cause you won't have any power.
So.
TRAVIS: Marcus, we're about to dock.
I need to know what's happening down there.
KINGSMAN: Yeah, yeah, everything's cool.
We're working on it, don't worry.
MARCUS: Ah, yeah, Travis, we're working on it.
I'll give you a shout.
Oi.
We do the talking, alright.
INTERCOM: Attention, all class three personnel
are requested to surrender their locator badges
by 14 hundred hours.
WHYNDHAM: Forgive me.
Just one more procedure.
CALLISTA: Another?
WHYNDHAM: It's just what I have to do.
Sir.
TRAVIS: And so it would appear.
SECURITY GUARD: They're clean, sir.
WHYNDHAM: Please, follow me.
KINGSMAN: Do you guys think that time is passing
at the same rate down on Caris as it is up here?
PERCY: He's getting on my nerves.
KINGSMAN: I'll take that as a yes,
which means we're probably running out of time.
Wish you guys come up with something soon.
[Siren]
PERCY AND MARCUS: Now what.
MARCUS: What happened?
KINGSMAN: When?
MARCUS: What'd you just do?
KINGSMAN: I was just messing around with some stuff.
I ran a little program.
And created some dark matter.
But it's just a trick.
You know, anybody could do it.
BOTH: Well do it again.
MARCUS: Well come on.
KINGSMAN: It was an accident.
I don't know what happened.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Ms. Larkadia, Mr. Montana, welcome.
And Mr. Quennell.
Well you didn't expect to see us again.
I believe you have something else for me,
Mr. Montana, is that right?
[Tense Music]
DR. SCHOFIELD: Excellent.
ALRICK: Are you out of your mind Travis?
He doesn't want me.
He's not interested in me.
That's what he wants.
TRAVIS: Deal's a deal, Quenelle.
CALLISTA: Can we get on with this please?
DR. SCHOFIELD: Of course, of course.
I trust you take me to be an honorable man
who keeps to his side of the bargain.
Your money.
TRAVIS: I want something else.
DR. SCHOFIELD: We agreed on a price.
TRAVIS: Oh, this won't cost you any money.
We want Quennell.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Quennell?
What use could he be to you?
TRAVIS: Well if you post him as wanted.
CALLISTA: We can negotiate with one of the federations.
DR. SCHOFIELD: It's not possible.
Mr. Quennell and I have a great deal to talk about.
TRAVIS: Fair enough.
DR. SCHOFIELD: Escort them to their shuttle.
And take Mr. Quennell to the detention center.
Take them all to the cells.
Dispose of them,
and then dispose of their ship.
MARCUS: Okay, just tell us what you did.
KINGSMAN: Alright, I was messing around with this thing.
PERCY: This thing?
KINGSMAN: Yeah.
MARCUS: The PDA?
It remembers every sequence of events like forever.
Let's see what he did.
PERCY: Oh.
[Ship Powering Up]
KINGSMAN: You see.
I told you I could fix it.
MARCUS: Rudolpho, we're back on.
RUDOLPHO: Oh, nicely done.
MARCUS AND PERCY: Thanks.
RUDOLPHO: Well, Car.
Is this going to work?
CARAVAGGIO: It's going to be interesting.
RUDOLPHO: Kids done good.
CARAVAGGIO: It seems so.
RUDOLPHO: Tulip to Travis,
we're ready when you are.
TRAVIS: So, Whyndham,
are you sure this is the way to the shuttle?
WHYNDHAM: We're gonna drop Mr. Quennell off
in the cells first.
TRAVIS: Ah.
SOLDIER: Somebody call for backup.
[Laser Firing]
TRAVIS: Come on.
ALRICK: The box. TRAVIS: Leave it.
ALRICK: We can't leave it.
TRAVIS: It's you or the box.
Ruldolpho, is everything set?
RULDOLPHO: Full power, ready to rock and roll.
TRAVIS: Don't wait for us, go, go, go.
RUDOLPHO: You sure about this Car?
CARAVAGGIO: Absolutely not.
RUDOLPHO: That is not what I wanted to hear.
[Tense Music]
[Spaceship Engine]
CARAVAGGIO: We are starting to break free of the Graviton.
[Breaking]
CARAVAGGIO: We have broken free.
RUDOLPHO: Yeah, thank you Car.
TRAVIS: Come on, come on, come on.
Come on Rudy, bring her around.
RUDOLPHO: Yeah, alright, alright.
I'm trying.
[Spaceship Engine]
[Whooshing]
RUDOLPHO: Nothing to it.
[Whooshing]
WHYNDHAM: Sir, they've escaped.
DR. SCHOFIELD: No matter Whyndham,
they're of little consequence now.
[Yelling] DR. SCHOFIELD: No!
RUDOLPHO: What's he doing back?
TRAVIS: Oh, he's a bit like you.
We couldn't get rid of him.
CALLISTA: You guys cut that close.
MARCUS: Oh, we had it under control.
KINGSMAN: It was pretty straight forward.
Just a few tweaks here and there.
TRAVIS: Ah, useful was he.
MARCUS: Oh yeah.
[Space Humming]
RUDOLPHO: You do know ancient legend says
that Caris executed the will of fate.
What a man's fate Lar would come.
But Caris would appear.
And never remember.
They would hover over battlefields,
and drink the blood of the dying men.
Do you think they'll come after us?
The Orchard?
ALRICK: I was right, wasn't I?
They're going to get away with it.
TRAVIS: Nah, as Jupiter fed gets a look at the evidence,
Caris will be shut down, and everyone's going away.
More than we can handle.
ALRICK: I meant the others.
The one's who funded the experiment.
TRAVIS: Whoever they are.
ALRICK: They're going to get away with it.
TRAVIS: That I don't know.
ALRICK: They'll come after me.
And you.
Your crew.
TRAVIS: Better get your ship patched up then.
ALRICK: You would have made a great raider.
TRAVIS: So I've been told.
[Spaceship Soaring]
[Explosion]
[Whooshing]
ANNOUNCER: On the next Starhunter.
TRAVIS: Just like you.
RUDOLPHO AND MARCUS: Whoa.
RITSON: Want to come in and play?
PERCY: No.
RITSON: What the hell you doing girl?
PERCY: I'm asking you questions, answer them.
CAPTAIN: Where's my crew?
Where is everyone?
RUDOLPHO: So where's the rest of them?
TRAVIS: There is no rest of them.
There was nothing.
Not even a mine.
She's not Percy though.
CALLISTA: Who is she then?
CAPTAIN: She was on the Galantais.
She's a mass murderer.
PERCY: A very successful one, I might add.
