[Ominous Music]

SALVATORE: Okay, let's go.

We want the power shut.

NAILSON [O.C]: I know.

Got it.

Online and receiving.

SALVATORE: Network and ready.

Nice, this is going to be glorious.

NAILSON: For Terra.

SALVATORE: For Terra.

[Bomb Ticking]

MAN 1: Hey this area's restricted.

MAN 2: We got approved.

I want to get home before the kids turn thirty.

[Bomb Ticking]

MAN 2: Just take it easy, watch the edges, not too fast,

stay away from the sides.

Here we go, just around the corner.

Watch it, watch the side,

Watch the side!

Okay good, good.

All right, we're doing all right.

Just around here, keep away from the sides.

[Bomb Ticking]

SALVATORE: Outside Saturn beacon, we're clear.

NAILSON: Hang on,

reading acoustic activity in section 44.

Somebody's there.

[Bomb Ticking]

NAILSON: Salvatore.

SALVATORE: Just leave it.

[Bomb Ticking]

[Explosion]

[Man Screams]

[Explosion]

[Opening Theme Music]

MAN: That stuff will kill you.

Montana, right?

TRAVIS: Yeah well, you eat it enough you start

to build up a tolerance.

Number 4's good if you stay.

MAN: I'll pass.

TRAVIS: Another of Syn City's finest, eh?

What happened to Gus and Arnot?

MAN: Cashed after the Father Abode mess.

But let's cut the foreplay, we want to hire you.

TRAVIS: I'm listening.

MAN: The Ring Shepherd attack a couple days ago.

TRAVIS: A terrorist?

MAN: What do you know about it?

TRAVIS: Just what's in the news,

some sort of "Earth First" group, no?

MAN: Yeah, two people were killed in that attack.

We got this communicator this morning.

TRAVIS: Let the sins of humanity be visited upon

the city of lights.

Can't say I like the poetry.

MAN: But it means an attack here in 24 hours,

and I don't have near the strength to mount a response.

TRAVIS: What's this then a little question of

law and jurisdiction?

MAN: So we understand each other?

Jupiter feds prepping a data drop for ya.

You bust this party, you get 100,000.

TRAVIS: Half now?

MAN: Done.

TRAVIS: What about the terrorists?

MAN: Ring Shepherd authority will prosecute them.

You bring them there, you get your money.

Just keep em out of my city.

TRAVIS: Nothing gets in the way of business, huh?

24 hours?

MAN: Yeah.

TRAVIS: I'm on it.

CARAVAGGIO [O.C]: They call themselves, "Terra's Children"

they've been active for seven years.

A string of bombings, Terra forming platform,

Venus, tiko dome, Europa spaceport.

TRAVIS: Interesting pattern.

MARCUS: Which means?

TRAVIS: All of the facilities

were under construction or in shutdown mode.

CARAVAGGIO: Indicates they go after structures,

not people.

Light casualties, no fatals.

TRAVIS: Yeah, until a couple of days ago.

CALLISTA: Now that they've drawn blood,

people are starting to pay attention.

TRAVIS: Their leader is a guy named, Salvatore.

Only problem is according to this

there's no known image of him in the database.

CALLISTA: Car, bring up that image from Ring Shepherd.

CARAVAGGIO: Yes, this couple passed through

Shepherd immigration three days back.

After the blast, they flagged them.

ID's were clone no record of departure.

MARCUS: Can't we get a better frame than that?

TRAVIS: He wanted to use her as a shield.

CALLISTA: They use polonium, homemade explosive.

High yield but not very sophisticated.

Theta wave trigger, remote fold-back.

TRAVIS: Can we scan for that?

CALLISTA: Yeah, if you get close enough.

TRAVIS: To the bomb? How close?

CALLISTA: Seven, eight meters?

MARCUS: You ever think these guys may have a point?

RUDOLPHO: Don't be naive.

MARCUS: Oh yeah.

There's more money to be made keeping us in space

rather than cleaning up the old home world, right?

RUDOLPHO: Exactly, you ever been to earth?

I used to live there.

It's a bloody sewer and I've no desire to go back.

MARCUS: I've seen the old holo's Rudolpho.

Forrest of green trees, oceans of water,

no ammonium in the air to choke you to death.

RUDOLPHO: And people used to sit in a ditch and have a dump.

I've no nostalgia for that either.

CALLISTA: Making earth habitable

or not isn't the point.

No one has a right to kill in the name of their cause,

period, end of story.

MARCUS: I know, all I was saying--

TRAVIS: Are you guys going to take this act on the road?

Cause we've got 16 hours.

RUDOLPHO: Plenty of time to polish the act up.

MARCUS: Yeah, I'm good.

CALLISTA: Let's go.

TRAVIS: Alright Marcus, find Percy,

see if you can patch in to Syn City's surveillance cameras.

MARCUS: But most of them don't work.

The citizen's of Syn City hate to be watched.

TRAVIS: Well it's better than nothing.

Lets run a recon on that woman's face,

she's our best lead.

As for us, it's pounding pavement.

We find these people and we bring em in.

Then we talk politics.

[Michievous Music]

SALVATORE: Okay, we're stocked and refueled.

Don't look at me like that, they were a necessary sacrifice.

NAILSON: Since when?

Take their structures, pierce their tin cans,

take away their veil of safety,

punish them for forgetting Terra.

You didn't say kill.

SALVATORE: Yes, but now they listen.

NAILSON: We don't kill.

SALVATORE: Yes, but they do.

What about Jeremy?

NAILSON: It's not the same.

SALVATORE: No, it's not the same,

they didn't have to struggle for each breath against

the poison in their lungs.

They left the Earth a scar,

they left your Jeremy to die.

NAILSON: Stop it!

SALVATORE: Okay, you just go on ahead.

Take the ship, debrief the others.

NAILSON: What are you gonna do?

SALVATORE: Just go, I won't be long.

CALLISTA: Night club's clear.

TRAVIS: You keep working that side of the street,

I've done about 2k we'll meet at the police station.

CALLISTA: We should do a proper grid.

TRAVIS: We don't have time for that.

CALLISTA [O.C]: It's a big haystack, Travis.

TRAVIS: I know.

Continuing south.

CALLISTA: Men.

[Michievous Music]

[Bomb Ticking]

PERCY: What about her?

MARCUS: No, she's too fat.

PERCY: She's big boned.

MARCUS: The woman from Ring Shepher wasn't so

Car, could you enhance center-right?

CARAVAGGIO: Magnifying 150 percent.

PERCY: Nah, she was taller.

MARCUS: So, have you ever been to Earth?

PERCY: Yeah, once, you?

MARCUS: No, I want to though.

I'd like to be outside,

sit under a tree, never done that for real.

Under an open sky.

PERCY: My uncle Dante saved the Earth once.

MARCUS: That's nice.

PERCY: He did.

Stop Car, enhance bottom-left.

CARAVAGGIO: Magnifying 180 percent.

MARCUS: Do you know what, that could be her.

CARAVAGGIO: 92.1 probability match.

PERCY: It's three minutes old, who's the closest?

MARCUS [O.C]: Rudolpho we've spotted her,

she's close to you.

Long coat, dark hair, 160 centimeters.

RUDOLPHO: I've got her.

RUDOLPHO: Bullocks, I think she made me.

She's running.

She's dumped the bag though.

CALLISTA: I'm one block up, I see her.

RUDOLPHO [O.C]: Good, go.

Callie, how stable are these explosives?

NAILSON: The indifferent children of the earth,

albeit we are not happy.

TRAVIS: Poetry's not your strong point

I'd steer clear if I were you.

[Eerie Music]

PERCY: Female prisoner.

NAILSON: How old are you?

PERCY: Why?

NAILSON: Can-dweller.

I can tell by the way you walk,

graviton coils give your body a certain shuffle.

CARAVAGGIO [O.C]: You may be pleased to know that we

have received the first half of the bounty money.

RUDOLPHO: About time.

CALLISTA: You're drooling.

RUDOLPHO: It's cause you smell so good.

TRAVIS: Well we may have half the money

but Salvator's still walking around,

the job's not finished.

CALLISTA: Well we've got Nailson,

there are ways to make her give him up.

RUDOLPHO: I believe in treating prisoners with dignity.

MARCUS: Yeah, right.

TRAVIS: I don't think so, you leave her to me.

CALLISTA: You don't trust me?

TRAVIS: Car, how long until Ring Shepherd?

CARAVAGGIO: About ten hours.

MARCUS: Are you gonna finish that?

NAILSON [O.C]: I wonder,

have you really spent your entire life on this ugly ship?

How sad.

Tell me.

With your circuits and your holograms,

when did you last walk the Earth?

PERCY: Awhile ago, it sucked.

NAILSON: Bet you looked up at an open sky

and heard a noise you didn't recognize.

A bird maybe.

You were scared, couldn't sleep.

No engine rumble to lul you.

Ship rat.

PERCY: That engine's rumble is the only thing

between you and the big black void.

TRAVIS: You're still here?

PERCY: I was just wondering

how you were going to hurt her.

TRAVIS: That all rather depends on her.

PERCY: Well how would your clan make her talk?

TRAVIS: We'd snip off a finger for each wrong answer.

If that didn't work we'd send them to bed without dinner.

Now we need some time.

You would have taken out a couple of streets.

That's a lot of people.

I'm just curious when it changed.

NAILSON: What?

TRAVIS: Well empty docking platforms is one thing,

but busy streets?

I mean you've already killed two people.

Dolan Friendly, he was 59, three kids.

And his friend was 22, I think.

NAILSON: Jeremy was seven.

My son, cancer.

I know, nobody worries about cancer anymore

except Terrans.

No one can afford gene treatments.

Cancer's better at adapting than we are.

TRAVIS: Well cancer or no cancer

Salvatore's gone too far.

NAILSON: Who's Salvatore?

TRAVIS: I'm going to give you one chance

to get in front of this.

NAILSON: You have kids?

TRAVIS: That was it.

NAILSON: I acted alone.

TRAVIS: So, you kill in the name of your son, huh?

I wonder.

NAILSON: What?

TRAVIS: If he'd appreciate the gesture.

[Electronic Music]

ARUN: Father Salvatore.

We were worried when we heard the news from Shepherd.

SALVATORE: Shepherd was regrettable.

Nailson was captured.

She knew the risks, Arun.

We've spoken before about the next stages of

our struggle and I think that day has come.

I have a task for you.

[Music Continued]

MARCUS: How'd it go with Nailson?

TRAVIS: Well we're not going to get it out of her

by chatting that's for sure.

MARCUS: Listen, Travis,

I don't know whether it means anything

but I found something on this timer.

TRAVIS: A name and address would be good.

MARCUS: No such luck.

But the fallback manifold is severed.

TRAVIS: What does that mean?

MARCUS: Well, for one thing,

it means the bomb was never going to go off.

There's no way the detonator could start the reaction.

TRAVIS: Could it have come amidst the struggle,

I mean when she dropped the bag?

MARCUS: No, no way.

TRAVIS: So she was disarming it.

MARCUS: Yes, which means...

TRAVIS: Someone else planted it.

Must have been Salvatore.

MARCUS: So what are we going to do?

TRAVIS: Turn her over to Ring Shepherd.

MARCUS: But you just said--

TRAVIS: Guilty conscience or not,

she still killed two people.

TRAVIS: Shepherd request clearance to dock.

SHEPHERD: Negative Trans Utopian.

We are transmitting new security regulations.

CALLISTA: This says to stand down at 800 clicks

and shuttle in.

They want to board us.

MARCUS: Well I'm not peeing into a cup,

I'll tell you that right now.

TRAVIS: Shepherd this is an approved prisoner transfer.

SHEPHERD: Proceed via shuttle.

Stand down and prepare to be boarded.

TRAVIS: I'm sorry,

I will never understand these docking procedures.

CARAVAGGIO [O.C]: Percy, you're interfering with

the graviton coils in the brig.

Are you trying to override me?

P-P-P-Percy

Oh, carry on then.

[Over Speakers] TRAVIS: Percy where are you?

PERCY: I'm in my quarters.

TRAVIS: Yeah, we've got to get this shuttle ready pronto.

PERCY: Yeah, I know.

I'll be right there.

TRAVIS: Alright the inspection team they sent,

they're jumpy so don't give them

any reason to keep us here, okay?

MARCUS: Yeah, yeah, yeah, don't worry dad.

I promise to look after the ship

and we'll try to stay out of the liquor cabinet.

TRAVIS: These guys do like to take ships apart, son.

So mouth off and you'll be cleaning your toys for a month.

[Atmospheric Music]

MAN: We'll need to see your bridge.

MARCUS: The bridge?

For sure, my ship is the void ship.

TRAVIS: Becan's gone.

CALLISTA: Shepherd, what exactly are you guys doing down there?

[Over Speakers] SHEPHERD: Shuttle,

prisoner transfer order is rescinded.

TRAVIS: You better explain that, Shepherd.

SHEPHERD: Security concerns, do not attempt to dock.

TRAVIS: Tulip, we're coming back,

I'll explain when we're on board.

[Atmospheric Music]

MARCUS: So, as you can see we're just your average

ex-luxury liner, now we carry bad guys kind of ship.

So, if that's it, woah!

ARUN: Stop!

MARCUS: Okay.

Now, when you say stop,

do you mean stop myself as in an object

moving through space time, or do you mean--

[Gun Blasts]

ARUN: Cut power to communications, now.

[Gun Blasts]

CARAVAGGIO: Percy. PERCY: Yes?

CARAVAGGIO: Are you doing one of your overrides?

PERCY: My hands are free at the moment Car.

CARAVAGGIO: Well, it appears we're under attack.

PERCY: What?

CARAVAGGIO: Weapons fire in section 42.

Communications have been cut.

PERCY: Seal off section 42.

CARAVAGGIO: Negative,

I'm offline in that part of the ship.

PERCY: Always something.

[Spaceship Engine]

CALLISTA: Something's wrong.

It's dead on all channels.

TRAVIS: Get us back.

Well if Salvatore's behind this you'll be seeing

your son sooner than you thought.

MARCUS: Percy?

Caravaggio?

Yeah don't mouth off, don't attack, do as they ask.

Nice one, Travis.

[Door Opens]

PERCY: Okay Car, what are they doing?

CARAVAGGIO: I believe they are trying to take over the ship.

PERCY: Can you be more specific?

CARAVAGGIO: I'm afraid our guests

hubbled me before leaving the bridge.

Wait, they're attempting to access navigational control.

PERCY: Thank you.

TRAVIS: Get her back to the brig.

[Intense Music]

[Explosion]

CALLISTA: Travis, comms up.

TRAVIS: Great timing, we need a cleanup in aisle four.

[Atomospheric Music]

CALLISTA: Shepherd found two security guys, dead, of course.

MARCUS: Yeah, well wonderful security they have

to let terrorists on to inspect the ship.

TRAVIS: Marcus.

MARCUS: I mean they may as well blow themselves up,

cut out the middleman--

TRAVIS: Marcus, we need that reactor back online.

MARCUS: Oh yeah, "Sorry Marcus we left you holding the baby

and you almost died but chop chop, back to work."

TRAVIS: It's alright, does his best work when he's pissed.

CALLISTA: Okay, we tried it your way with Nailson.

Now let's try mine.

You know what I'm saying.

TRAVIS: Something I forgot to mention,

she was disarming the bomb.

We caught her in the act of trying to stop it.

Which means she didn't want her people crossing that line.

So yeah, I know what you're saying.

But, no.

MARCUS: You know, I've been on ships my whole life.

Breathing in artificial air.

And sometimes the mix goes wrong,

you get a lungful of pure carbon.

It's not nice.

That's why I felt sorry for you people.

And you try and kill me?

Screw you.

PERCY: Hey. MARCUS: Hey.

PERCY: What are you doing?

MARCUS: Nothing,

listen we better get started on the reactor.

PERCY: I'm right behind you, two minutes.

CARAVAGGIO: The gravity setting in Miss Nailson's cell

is currently 8.6 times Earth standard.

A little excessive, perhaps.

[Nailson Gasping]

PERCY: That's your wonderful Earth's gravity

you're feeling, times nine.

Is that nice?

Now, I do have some questions for you.

TRAVIS: What about the explosives?

CALLISTA: Common compounds could have been found anywhere.

Jupiter, Mars, even Earth.

PERCY: You want to know where they are?

What's the smallest moon of Jupiter?

CALLISTA: Adrastea.

MARCUS: I jerry-rigged the jerry-rigging.

I mean you do know that all of this is gonna

come crashing around our heads.

CALLISTA: So Percy.

PERCY: Hmm?

CALLISTA: What'd you do?

PERCY: I asked her, very persuasively.

Callista: Yeah, right.

TRAVIS: Percy, I don't know what you did,

but I told you to leave it.

PERCY: Now you know where they are what's it matter?

TRAVIS: It matters to me.

PERCY: So don't go after them.

RUDOLPHO: Hold on, hold on.

They attacked us.

TRAVIS: The question is why did they attack us.

Callista: They wanted Nailson.

TRAVIS: She was already off the ship.

RUDOLPHO: They wanted the Tulip.

TRAVIS: Exactly, I'm not finished with you yet.

PERCY: I can't wait.

CARAVAGGIO: Adrastea is about 16 Kilometers across.

Intense radiation, a small moon inside Jupiter's Roche limit.

CALLISTA: It means Jupiter eventually is gonna pull it in.

MARCUS: So the moon will eventually crash with Jupiter.

CALLISTA: We've got another problem.

TRAVIS: Let's hear it.

CALLISTA: There's only one approach.

CARAVAGGIO: Parabolic insertion.

Gravity wells tight, heavy sheer.

RUDOLPHO: Magnetics? CARAVAGGIO: Off the scale.

Tulip's size will not be advantageous

in the gravity well.

TRAVIS: Then make for the Lagrange point.

CARAVAGGIO: Lagrange points are named after the

Italian French mathematician, Jon-Louie Lagrange

who discovered that there were five special points

in the vicinity of two orbiting masses,

say Adrastea and Metis,

where a third smaller mass, say the Tulip,

can orbit at a fixed distance from the larger masses.

More precisely,

the Lagrange points mark positions where

the gravitational pull of two large masses

exactly equals the centripetal force required to rotate them.

RUDOLPHO: Through the eye of a needle.

TRAVIS: Quick in and out, Marcus,

better stay on top of those engines.

SALVATORE: The assault failed.

Arun, it seems, has gone to Terra.

Oh well, nevermind.

They'll come to us.

Nailson will tell them that's why I picked her.

Dual reactor.

Thrust more than adequate,

detonation team must achieve

the speed and angle specified.

The shock waves and the radiation burst

will pierce through their domes and tin cans.

Oh yeah, they will hear us, brothers.

Three billion people will feel Terra's wrath.

[Atmospheric Music]

CARAVAGGIO: I thought you might like to know that the hull

temperature is reaching critical.

TRAVIS: Callie.

CALLISTA: We're almost there.

CARAVAGGIO: Oh dear, the radiation levels

are affecting my graphic user interface,

circuits-circuits-circuits.

RUDOLPHO: Bloody computers,

always crashing just when you need em.

Percy!

PERCY: I'm on it!

CALLISTA: We've lost reactor one.

TRAVIS: Well we're not turning back now.

[Rocks Colliding With Hull]

CALLISTA [O.C]: Comms dead.

Reading a small ship powered down, underground facility.

TRAVIS: Set her down at the cabin entrance.

SALVATORE: Two centuries ago, man brought forth the atomics.

One scientist looked at the terrible beauty

and said, "Behold, I'm Shiva destroyer of worlds."

Well gentlemen, today we strike a blow for Terra.

Today, we become Shiva.

Oh hello, you came to collect us didn't you?

We're unarmed, we surrender.

[Spaceship Rumble]

MARCUS: So, Percy.

Percy: Yeah?

MARCUS: How did you get Nailson to talk?

PERCY: I gave her candy.

MARCUS: No, really.

PERCY: A box of Terra's cookies, chewy ones.

MARCUS: Percy.

PERCY: I bumped the gravity a bit.

MARCUS: How much? PERCY: 9 G's.

MARCUS: You put it back, right?

PERCY: Yes, I put it back.

MARCUS: You know, she didn't set the bomb in Syn City

she didn't set the bomb she diffused it before we got there.

PERCY: So, why are you telling me this?

MARCUS: Just thought you should know.

SALVATORE: The old book says the meek shall inherit the Earth,

you know that.

TRAVIS: Yeah, I've even read the book.

SALVATORE: The meek are all that Terra's left.

Can-dwellers left us too weak for too long.

But after today, Terrans won't be called weak anymore.

I'm a political prisoner.

TRAVIS: I'm impressed.

Make it two trips.

Here, just in case.

TRAVIS [O.C]: Tulip, if you can hear me,

I'm docking with the prisoners.

RUDOLPHO: Something's not right.

CALLISTA: What?

RUDOLPHO: This lot,

just sitting there.

Yesterday they want to take over the ship,

and now they come quietly.

So that's strange, isn't it?

CALLISTA: Oh no! RUDOLPHO: What?

CALLISTA: Polonium explosives.

Run!

[Bomb Ticking]

PERCY: Car, can you hear me?

CARAVAGGIO: I am unwell.

PERCY: Hold that thought.

TRAVIS: Hey, let me check.

Step back.

Get back in line or I'll blow your head off.

[Gun Blasts]

RUDOLPHO [O.C]: Are you sure you can fly this?

CALLISTA [O.C]: They haven't made a ship yet I couldn't fly.

RUDOLPHO: Oh hey, what's this?

CALLISTA: They look like simulations.

He had to be planning this for months.

Shepherd was just the beginning.

SALVATORE: Let's get out of here.

Hello.

CALLISTA: They're going to use the Tulip to ram

Adrastea into jupiter.

The radiation and shock wave together would ...

RUDOLPHO: Three billion people.

[Gun Blast]

NAILSON: You're right.

They don't deserve our compassion.

SALVATORE: Only one thing to do.

TRAVIS: Marcus,

[Spaceship Movement]

Woah, woah, woah, we're moving.

MARCUS: I'd say so.

TRAVIS: Where's Percy? MARCUS: No idea.

TRAVIS: They're not gonna leave it.

Take down those engines, go, go, go.

MARCUS: Start them up, shut them down.

[Spaceship Engine]

SALVATORE: Show time.

RUDOLPHO: What are you doing?

CALLISTA: Using this particle beam to even the playing field.

[Beam Blast]

CALLISTA [O.C]: Those are your engines.

SALVATORE: No, no, no, No!

CALLISTA: Whatever happens now, it happens to you too.

Call off your attack.

RUDOLPHO: Let's see if Mr. Trooper here

is willing to die for his cause.

SALVATORE: Nailson,

abort the run.

NAILSON: Too late for that.

They will not ignore Earth again.

MARCUS: Come on Tulip, heel.

[Engine Shuts Off]

[Gun Blasts]

[Suspenseful Music]

NAILSON: Do it.

PERCY: Do it?

NAILSON: I know you want to.

PERCY: Actually I'd rather punch you in the face.

TRAVIS: Don't.

[Gun Blasts]

[Atmospheric Music]

TRAVIS [O.C]: Contact Shepherd.

Tell them we've got Salvatore,

and we're not taking "No" for an answer this time.

MARCUS: Three T-bolts, two sticks of gum,

and some of my hair, okay?

That's all that's standing between those engines,

and a class four meltdown so if I were you--

TRAVIS: Marcus, great work, as always.

MARCUS: Oh, it was nothing really.

TRAVIS: You okay?

PERCY: No.
